Hierauf wurde Jesus vom Geist in die Wüste hinaufgeführt, um vom Teufel versucht zu werden;

ENTONCES Jesús fué llevado del Espíritu al desierto, para ser tentado del diablo.

And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.

Er aber gab ihm zur Antwort: »Es steht geschrieben: ›Nicht vom Brot allein soll der Mensch leben, sondern von jedem Wort, das durch den Mund Gottes ergeht.‹«

Mas él respondiendo, dijo: Escrito está: No con solo el pan vivirá el hombre, mas con toda palabra que sale de la boca de Dios.

But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Hierauf nahm ihn der Teufel mit sich in die heilige Stadt, stellte ihn dort auf die Zinne des Tempels

Entonces el diablo le pasa á la santa ciudad, y le pone sobre las almenas del templo,

Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple,

und sagte zu ihm: »Bist du Gottes Sohn, so stürze dich hier hinab! Denn es steht geschrieben: ›Er wird seine Engel für dich entbieten, und sie werden dich auf den Armen tragen, damit du mit deinem Fuß an keinen Stein stoßest.‹«

Y le dice: Si eres Hijo de Dios, échate abajo; que escrito está: A sus ángeles mandará por ti, y te alzarán en las manos, para que nunca tropieces con tu pie en piedra.

And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.

and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, for it is written, ‘He will command his angels concerning you,’ and, ‘On their hands they will bear you up, so that you don’t dash your foot against a stone.’”

Jesus antwortete ihm: »Es steht aber auch geschrieben: ›Du sollst den Herrn, deinen Gott, nicht versuchen!‹«

Jesús le dijo: Escrito está además: No tentarás al Señor tu Dios.

Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

Nochmals nahm ihn der Teufel mit sich auf einen sehr hohen Berg, zeigte ihm alle Königreiche der Welt samt ihrer Herrlichkeit

Otra vez le pasa el diablo á un monte muy alto, y le muestra todos los reinos del mundo, y su gloria,

Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;

und sagte zu ihm: »Dies alles will ich dir geben, wenn du dich niederwirfst und mich anbetest.«

Y dícele: Todo esto te daré, si postrado me adorares.

And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.

He said to him, “I will give you all of these things, if you will fall down and worship me.”

Da antwortete ihm Jesus: »Weg mit dir, Satan! Denn es steht geschrieben: ›Den Herrn, deinen Gott, sollst du anbeten und ihm allein dienen!‹«

Entonces Jesús le dice: Vete, Satanás, que escrito está: Al Señor tu Dios adorarás y á él solo servirás.

Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

Then Jesus said to him, “Get behind me, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and you shall serve him only.’”

Nun ließ der Teufel von ihm ab, und siehe, Engel traten zu ihm und leisteten ihm Dienste.

El diablo entonces le dejó: y he aquí los ángeles llegaron y le servían.

Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.

Als Jesus aber von der Gefangennahme des Johannes Kunde erhielt, zog er sich nach Galiläa zurück;

Mas oyendo Jesús que Juan era preso, se volvió á Galilea;

er verließ jedoch Nazareth und verlegte seinen Wohnsitz nach Kapernaum, das am See (Genezaret) liegt im Gebiet von Sebulon und Naphthali,

damit das Wort des Propheten Jesaja erfüllt werde, das da lautet:

The land of Zabulon, and the land of Nephthalim, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles;

“The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, toward the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles,

das Volk, das im Finstern saß, hat ein großes Licht gesehen, und denen, die im Lande und Schatten des Todes saßen, ist ein Licht aufgegangen.«

El pueblo asentado en tinieblas, vió gran luz; y á los sentados en región y sombra de muerte, luz les esclareció.

The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.

Von dieser Zeit an begann Jesus die Heilsbotschaft mit den Worten zu verkündigen: »Tut Buße, denn das Himmelreich ist nahe herbeigekommen!«

Als er nun (eines Tages) am Ufer des Galiläischen Sees hinging, sah er zwei Brüder, Simon, der auch den Namen Petrus führt, und seinen Bruder Andreas, die ein Netz in den See auswarfen; sie waren nämlich Fischer.

Er sagte zu ihnen: »Kommt, folgt mir nach, so will ich euch zu Menschenfischern machen!«

Jesus zog dann in ganz Galiläa umher, indem er in ihren Synagogen lehrte, die Heilsbotschaft vom Reiche (Gottes) verkündigte und alle Krankheiten und alle Gebrechen im Volke heilte;

und der Ruf von ihm verbreitete sich durch ganz Syrien, und man brachte alle, die an den verschiedenartigsten Krankheiten litten und mit schmerzhaften Übeln behaftet waren, Besessene, Fallsüchtige und Gelähmte, und er heilte sie.

And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them.

The report about him went out into all Syria. They brought to him all who were sick, afflicted with various diseases and torments, possessed with demons, epileptics, and paralytics; and he healed them.

So begleiteten ihn denn große Volksscharen aus Galiläa und aus dem Gebiet der Zehn-Städte sowie aus Jerusalem und Judäa und aus dem Ostjordanland.

Y le siguieron muchas gentes de Galilea y de Decápolis y de Jerusalem y de Judea y de la otra parte del Jordán.

And there followed him great multitudes of people from Galilee, and from Decapolis, and from Jerusalem, and from Judaea, and from beyond Jordan.
