Mateo 4

Então Jesus foi conduzido pelo Espírito Santo ao deserto, para ser tentado pelo Diabo.

ENTONCES Jesús fué llevado del Espíritu al desierto, para ser tentado del diablo.

Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.

Depois de jejuar quarenta dias e quarenta noites, ficou com muita fome.

Y habiendo ayunado cuarenta días y cuarenta noches, después tuvo hambre.

Então o Diabo tentou Jesus, sugerindo: “Já que você é Filho de Deus, transforme estas pedras em pães”.

Y llegándose á él el tentador, dijo: Si eres Hijo de Dios, di que estas piedras se hagan pan.

And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.

The tempter came and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.”

Mas Jesus respondeu: “As Escrituras nos dizem que não é só de pão que vive o homem; mas de toda palavra que procede da boca de Deus”.

Mas él respondiendo, dijo: Escrito está: No con solo el pan vivirá el hombre, mas con toda palabra que sale de la boca de Dios.

But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

But he answered, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of God’s mouth.’”

Então o Diabo o levou a Jerusalém, a cidade santa, para o lugar mais alto do templo.

Entonces el diablo le pasa á la santa ciudad, y le pone sobre las almenas del templo,

Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple,

Then the devil took him into the holy city. He set him on the pinnacle of the temple,

“Salte dai”, disse ele, “já que é o Filho de Deus; porque as Escrituras declaram: “ ‘Porque o Senhor dará instruções especiais aos seus anjos para o protegerem em todos os seus caminhos. Eles o apoiarão com as mãos, para que você não tropece em alguma pedra no caminho’ ”.

Y le dice: Si eres Hijo de Dios, échate abajo; que escrito está: A sus ángeles mandará por ti, y te alzarán en las manos, para que nunca tropieces con tu pie en piedra.

And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.

and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, for it is written, ‘He will command his angels concerning you,’ and, ‘On their hands they will bear you up, so that you don’t dash your foot against a stone.’”

Jesus replicou: “Porém as Escrituras também dizem: Não ponha à prova o Senhor, o seu Deus!”

Jesús le dijo: Escrito está además: No tentarás al Señor tu Dios.

Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

Jesus said to him, “Again, it is written, ‘You shall not test the Lord, your God.’”

A seguir, o Diabo levou Jesus a um monte muito alto e mostrou-lhe as nações do mundo e toda a glória delas.

Otra vez le pasa el diablo á un monte muy alto, y le muestra todos los reinos del mundo, y su gloria,

Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;

Again, the devil took him to an exceedingly high mountain, and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory.

“Eu lhe darei tudo isso”, disse ele, “se você ajoelhar-se e me adorar”.

Y dícele: Todo esto te daré, si postrado me adorares.

And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.

He said to him, “I will give you all of these things, if you will fall down and worship me.”

“Saia daqui, Satanás”, disse-lhe Jesus. “As Escrituras ordenam: ‘Adore somente o Senhor, o seu Deus. Sirva somente a ele’ ”.

Entonces Jesús le dice: Vete, Satanás, que escrito está: Al Señor tu Dios adorarás y á él solo servirás.

Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

Then Jesus said to him, “Get behind me, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and you shall serve him only.’”

Então o Diabo foi embora, e os anjos vieram e cuidaram de Jesus.

El diablo entonces le dejó: y he aquí los ángeles llegaron y le servían.

Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.

Then the devil left him, and behold, angels came and served him.

Quando Jesus ouviu dizer que João tinha sido preso, voltou para a Galileia.

Mas oyendo Jesús que Juan era preso, se volvió á Galilea;

Now when Jesus had heard that John was cast into prison, he departed into Galilee;

Now when Jesus heard that John was delivered up, he withdrew into Galilee.

Ele voltou para Nazaré, na Galileia, mas logo mudou-se para Cafarnaum, na margem do mar da Galileia, perto de Zebulom e Naftali,

Y dejando á Nazaret, vino y habitó en Capernaum, ciudad marítima, en los confines de Zabulón y de Nephtalim:

And leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is upon the sea coast, in the borders of Zabulon and Nephthalim:

Leaving Nazareth, he came and lived in Capernaum, which is by the sea, in the region of Zebulun and Naphtali,

para se cumprir a profecia de Isaías:

Para que se cumpliese lo que fué dicho por el profeta Isaías, que dijo:

That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying,

that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying,

“Terra de Zebulom e terra de Naftali, na margem do mar; território além do rio Jordão, e a Galileia Superior onde tantos estrangeiros moram, ouçam:

La tierra de Zabulón, y la tierra de Nephtalim, camino de la mar, de la otra parte del Jordán, Galilea de los Gentiles;

The land of Zabulon, and the land of Nephthalim, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles;

“The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, toward the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles,

O povo que está andando na escuridão verá uma grande luz. Essa luz vai brilhar e iluminar todos os que vivem na região da sombra da morte”.

El pueblo asentado en tinieblas, vió gran luz; y á los sentados en región y sombra de muerte, luz les esclareció.

The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.

Daí em diante, Jesus começou a pregar: “Deixem o pecado e voltem-se para Deus, porque o Reino dos céus está próximo”.

Desde entonces comenzó Jesús á predicar, y á decir: Arrepentíos, que el reino de los cielos se ha acercado.

From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Um dia, quando estava andando à beira da praia do mar da Galileia, Jesus viu dois irmãos: Simão, também chamado Pedro, e seu irmão André. Eles estavam num barco pescando com uma rede, pois eram pescadores por profissão.

Y andando Jesús junto á la mar de Galilea, vió á dos hermanos, Simón, que es llamado Pedro, y Andrés su hermano, que echaban la red en la mar; porque eran pescadores.

And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.

Jesus gritou: “Venham comigo e eu lhes mostrarei como se tornar pescadores de homens!”

Y díceles: Venid en pos de mí, y os haré pescadores de hombres.

And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.

He said to them, “Come after me, and I will make you fishers for men.”

No mesmo instante eles deixaram as suas redes e o seguiram!

Ellos entonces, dejando luego las redes, le siguieron.

And they straightway left their nets, and followed him.

Um pouco mais adiante na praia ele viu outros dois irmãos, Tiago e João, sentados num barco com Zebedeu, o pai deles, consertando as suas redes; e ele os chamou para que viessem também.

Y pasando de allí vió otros dos hermanos, Jacobo, hijo de Zebedeo, y Juan su hermano, en el barco con Zebedeo, su padre, que remendaban sus redes; y los llamó.

And going on from thence, he saw other two brethren, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and he called them.

Os dois irmãos pararam de trabalhar na mesma hora e, deixando o pai, seguiram Jesus.

Jesus ia por toda a Galileia, ensinando nas sinagogas dos judeus, e pregando por toda parte as boas-novas acerca do Reino dos céus; ia curando toda espécie de mal e doenças entre o povo.

Y rodeó Jesús toda Galilea, enseñando en las sinagogas de ellos, y predicando el evangelio del reino, y sanando toda enfermedad y toda dolencia en el pueblo.

And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.

A notícia dos seus milagres espalhou-se além das fronteiras da Galileia, de tal modo que começou a vir gente para ser curada, até mesmo de regiões distantes, como a Síria. Qualquer doença ou sofrimento — se estivessem endemoninhados, fossem epilépticos ou paralíticos — ele curava a todos.

Y corría su fama por toda la Siria; y le trajeron todos los que tenían mal: los tomados de diversas enfermedades y tormentos, y los endemoniados, y lunáticos, y paralíticos, y los sanó.

And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them.

The report about him went out into all Syria. They brought to him all who were sick, afflicted with various diseases and torments, possessed with demons, epileptics, and paralytics; and he healed them.

Multidões enormes o seguiam: gente da Galileia, da Decápolis, de Jerusalém, de toda a Judeia e até do outro lado do rio Jordão.

Y le siguieron muchas gentes de Galilea y de Decápolis y de Jerusalem y de Judea y de la otra parte del Jordán.

And there followed him great multitudes of people from Galilee, and from Decapolis, and from Jerusalem, and from Judaea, and from beyond Jordan.

Great multitudes from Galilee, Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea, and from beyond the Jordan followed him.
