El tentador vino y le dijo: “Si realmente eres el hijo de Dios, ordena a estas piedras que se conviertan en pan”.

And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.
The tempter came and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.”
Jesús respondió: “Como dicen las Escrituras, ‘los seres humanos no viven solo de comer pan, sino de cada palabra que sale de la boca de Dios’”.
Mas él respondiendo, dijo: Escrito está: No con solo el pan vivirá el hombre, mas con toda palabra que sale de la boca de Dios.
But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
But he answered, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of God’s mouth.’”
Entonces el diablo lo llevó hasta la ciudad santa y lo puso en la parte más alta del Templo.
Entonces el diablo le pasa á la santa ciudad, y le pone sobre las almenas del templo,
Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple,
Then the devil took him into the holy city. He set him on the pinnacle of the temple,
“Si realmente eres el hijo de Dios, tírate”, le dijo a Jesús. “Tal como dicen las Escrituras: ‘Él mandará a sus ángeles para que te guarden del peligro. Te atraparán para que no caigas al tropezarte con una roca’”.
Y le dice: Si eres Hijo de Dios, échate abajo; que escrito está: A sus ángeles mandará por ti, y te alzarán en las manos, para que nunca tropieces con tu pie en piedra.
And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.
and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, for it is written, ‘He will command his angels concerning you,’ and, ‘On their hands they will bear you up, so that you don’t dash your foot against a stone.’”
Jesús respondió: “Tal como dicen también las Escrituras, ‘No tentarás al Señor tu Dios’”.
Jesús le dijo: Escrito está además: No tentarás al Señor tu Dios.
Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
Jesus said to him, “Again, it is written, ‘You shall not test the Lord, your God.’”
Entonces el diablo llevó a Jesús a una montaña muy alta y le mostró todos los reinos del mundo en toda su gloria.
Otra vez le pasa el diablo á un monte muy alto, y le muestra todos los reinos del mundo, y su gloria,
Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;
Again, the devil took him to an exceedingly high mountain, and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory.
Le dijo a Jesús: “Te daré todos estos reinos si te arrodillas y me adoras”.
Y dícele: Todo esto te daré, si postrado me adorares.
And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.
He said to him, “I will give you all of these things, if you will fall down and worship me.”
“¡Vete de aquí Satanás!” dijo Jesús. “Tal como dicen las Escrituras: ‘Adorarás al Señor tu Dios y le servirás solo a Él’”.
Entonces Jesús le dice: Vete, Satanás, que escrito está: Al Señor tu Dios adorarás y á él solo servirás.
Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
Then Jesus said to him, “Get behind me, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and you shall serve him only.’”
Entonces el diablo lo dejó, y los ángeles vinieron a cuidar de él.
El diablo entonces le dejó: y he aquí los ángeles llegaron y le servían.
Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.
Then the devil left him, and behold, angels came and served him.
Cuando Jesús escuchó que Juan había sido arrestado, regresó a Galilea.
Mas oyendo Jesús que Juan era preso, se volvió á Galilea;
Now when Jesus had heard that John was cast into prison, he departed into Galilee;
Now when Jesus heard that John was delivered up, he withdrew into Galilee.
Después de salir de Nazaret, se quedó en Capernaúm, a orillas del mar, en las regiones de Zabulón y Neftalí.
Y dejando á Nazaret, vino y habitó en Capernaum, ciudad marítima, en los confines de Zabulón y de Nephtalim:
And leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is upon the sea coast, in the borders of Zabulon and Nephthalim:
Leaving Nazareth, he came and lived in Capernaum, which is by the sea, in the region of Zebulun and Naphtali,
Esto cumplió lo que el profeta Isaías dijo:
Para que se cumpliese lo que fué dicho por el profeta Isaías, que dijo:
That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying,
that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying,
“En la tierra de Zabulón y en la tierra de Neftalí, camino al mar, más allá del Jordán, en Galilea, donde viven los gentiles:
La tierra de Zabulón, y la tierra de Nephtalim, camino de la mar, de la otra parte del Jordán, Galilea de los Gentiles;
The land of Zabulon, and the land of Nephthalim, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles;
“The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, toward the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles,
La gente que vive en la oscuridad vio una gran luz; la luz de la mañana ha brillado sobre aquellos que viven en la tierra de la oscuridad y la muerte”.
El pueblo asentado en tinieblas, vió gran luz; y á los sentados en región y sombra de muerte, luz les esclareció.
The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.

Desde ese momento, Jesús comenzó a declarar su mensaje, diciendo: “Arrepiéntanse, porque el reino de los cielos está cerca”.
Desde entonces comenzó Jesús á predicar, y á decir: Arrepentíos, que el reino de los cielos se ha acercado.

Mientras caminaba por el mar de Galilea, Jesús vio a dos hermanos: Simón, también llamado Pedro, y su hermano Andrés, que estaban lanzando una red en el mar. Ellos vivían de la pesca.
Y andando Jesús junto á la mar de Galilea, vió á dos hermanos, Simón, que es llamado Pedro, y Andrés su hermano, que echaban la red en la mar; porque eran pescadores.
And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.

“Vengan y síganme, y yo les enseñaré cómo pescar personas”, les dijo.

Ellos dejaron sus redes de inmediato y lo siguieron.

De camino, vio nuevamente a otros dos hermanos: Santiago y Juan. Ellos estaban en un bote con su padre Zebedeo, reparando sus redes. Él los llamó para que lo siguieran.
Y pasando de allí vió otros dos hermanos, Jacobo, hijo de Zebedeo, y Juan su hermano, en el barco con Zebedeo, su padre, que remendaban sus redes; y los llamó.

Entonces comenzó a difundirse la noticia acerca de él por toda la provincia de Siria. La gente traía delante de él a todos los que estaban enfermos: personas afligidas por todo tipo de enfermedades, personas poseídas por demonios, enfermos mentales, paralíticos, y él los sanaba a todos.
Y corría su fama por toda la Siria; y le trajeron todos los que tenían mal: los tomados de diversas enfermedades y tormentos, y los endemoniados, y lunáticos, y paralíticos, y los sanó.
And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them.
The report about him went out into all Syria. They brought to him all who were sick, afflicted with various diseases and torments, possessed with demons, epileptics, and paralytics; and he healed them.
Grandes multitudes le siguieron desde Galilea, Decápolis, Jerusalén, Judea y la región que estaba al otro lado del Jordán.
Y le siguieron muchas gentes de Galilea y de Decápolis y de Jerusalem y de Judea y de la otra parte del Jordán.
And there followed him great multitudes of people from Galilee, and from Decapolis, and from Jerusalem, and from Judaea, and from beyond Jordan.
Great multitudes from Galilee, Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea, and from beyond the Jordan followed him.
