»Ustedes son la sal del mundo. Si la sal pierde el sabor, ¿para qué va a servir? ¡Sólo para que la boten y la pisoteen por inservible!

Vosotros sois la sal de la tierra: y si la sal se desvaneciere ¿con qué será salada? no vale más para nada, sino para ser echada fuera y hollada de los hombres.

Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
