Or Jésus voyant tout ce peuple, monta sur une montagne ; puis s’étant assis, ses Disciples s’approchèrent de lui ;

Vous serez bienheureux quand on vous aura injuriés et persécutés, et quand, à cause de moi, on aura dit faussement contre vous toute sorte de mal.

Bienaventurados sois cuando os vituperaren y os persiguieren, y dijeren de vosotros todo mal por mi causa, mintiendo.

Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

Réjouissez-vous, et tressaillez de joie ; parce que votre récompense est grande dans les cieux ; car on a ainsi persécuté les Prophètes qui ont été avant vous.

Gozaos y alegraos; porque vuestra merced es grande en los cielos: que así persiguieron á los profetas que fueron antes de vosotros.

Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

Vous êtes le sel de la terre ; mais si le sel perd sa saveur, avec quoi le salera-t-on ? il ne vaut plus rien qu’à être jeté dehors, et foulé des hommes.

Vosotros sois la sal de la tierra: y si la sal se desvaneciere ¿con qué será salada? no vale más para nada, sino para ser echada fuera y hollada de los hombres.

Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

“You are the salt of the earth, but if the salt has lost its flavor, with what will it be salted? It is then good for nothing, but to be cast out and trodden under the feet of men.

Vous êtes la lumière du monde ; une ville située sur une montagne ne peut point être cachée.

Vosotros sois la luz del mundo: una ciudad asentada sobre un monte no se puede esconder.

Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

“You are the light of the world. A city located on a hill can’t be hidden.

Et on n’allume point la lampe pour la mettre sous un boisseau, mais sur un chandelier, et elle éclaire tous ceux qui sont dans la maison.

Ni se enciende una lámpara y se pone debajo de un almud, mas sobre el candelero, y alumbra á todos los que están en casa.

Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.

Neither do you light a lamp and put it under a measuring basket, but on a stand; and it shines to all who are in the house.

Ainsi, que votre lumière luise devant les hommes, afin qu’ils voient vos bonnes oeuvres, et qu’ils glorifient votre Père qui est aux cieux.

Así alumbre vuestra luz delante de los hombres, para que vean vuestras obras buenas, y glorifiquen á vuestro Padre que está en los cielos.

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Ne croyez pas que je sois venu anéantir la Loi, ou les Prophètes ; je ne suis pas venu les anéantir, mais les accomplir.

No penséis que he venido para abrogar la ley ó los profetas: no he venido para abrogar, sino á cumplir.

Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

“Don’t think that I came to destroy the law or the prophets. I didn’t come to destroy, but to fulfill.

Car je vous dis en vérité, que jusqu’à ce que le ciel et la terre soient passés, un seul Iota, ou un seul trait de lettre ne passera point, que toutes choses ne soient faites.

Porque de cierto os digo, que hasta que perezca el cielo y la tierra, ni una jota ni un tilde perecerá de la ley, hasta que todas las cosas sean hechas.

For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

For most certainly, I tell you, until heaven and earth pass away, not even one smallest letter or one tiny pen stroke shall in any way pass away from the law, until all things are accomplished.

Celui donc qui aura violé l’un de ces petits commandements, et qui aura enseigné ainsi les hommes, sera tenu le plus petit au Royaume des cieux ; mais celui qui les aura faits et enseignés, sera tenu grand au Royaume des cieux.

De manera que cualquiera que infringiere uno de estos mandamientos muy pequeños, y así enseñare á los hombres, muy pequeño será llamado en el reino de los cielos: mas cualquiera que hiciere y enseñare, éste será llamado grande en el reino de los cielos.

Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Therefore, whoever shall break one of these least commandments and teach others to do so, shall be called least in the Kingdom of Heaven; but whoever shall do and teach them shall be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven.

Car je vous dis que si votre justice ne surpasse celle des Scribes et des Pharisiens, vous n’entrerez point dans le Royaume des cieux.

Porque os digo, que si vuestra justicia no fuere mayor que la de los escribas y de los Fariseos, no entraréis en el reino de los cielos.

For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

For I tell you that unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, there is no way you will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.

Vous avez entendu qu’il a été dit aux Anciens : Tu ne tueras point ; et qui tuera, sera punissable par le jugement.

Oísteis que fué dicho á los antiguos: No matarás; mas cualquiera que matare, será culpado del juicio.

Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:

“You have heard that it was said to the ancient ones, ‘You shall not murder;’ and ‘Whoever murders will be in danger of the judgment.’

Mais moi je vous dis : que quiconque se met en colère sans cause contre son frère, sera punissable par le jugement ; et celui qui dira à son frère, Racha, sera punissable par le conseil ; et celui qui lui dira, fou, sera punissable par la géhenne du feu.

Mas yo os digo, que cualquiera que se enojare locamente con su hermano, será culpado del juicio; y cualquiera que dijere á su hermano, Raca, será culpado del concejo; y cualquiera que dijere, Fatuo, será culpado del infierno del fuego.

But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

But I tell you that everyone who is angry with his brother without a cause will be in danger of the judgment. Whoever says to his brother, ‘Raca!’ will be in danger of the council. Whoever says, ‘You fool!’ will be in danger of the fire of Gehenna.

Si donc tu apportes ton offrande à l’autel, et que là il te souvienne que ton frère a quelque chose contre toi ;

Por tanto, si trajeres tu presente al altar, y allí te acordares de que tu hermano tiene algo contra ti,

Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee;

“If therefore you are offering your gift at the altar, and there remember that your brother has anything against you,

Laisse-là ton offrande devant l’autel, et va te réconcilier premièrement avec ton frère, puis viens, et offre ton offrande.

Deja allí tu presente delante del altar, y vete, vuelve primero en amistad con tu hermano, y entonces ven y ofrece tu presente.

Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.

leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.

Sois bientôt d’accord avec ta partie adverse, tandis que tu es en chemin avec elle ; de peur que ta partie adverse ne te livre au juge, et que le juge ne te livre au sergent, et que tu ne sois mis en prison.

Concíliate con tu adversario presto, entre tanto que estás con él en el camino; porque no acontezca que el adversario te entregue al juez, y el juez te entregue al alguacil, y seas echado en prisión.

Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison.

Agree with your adversary quickly while you are with him on the way; lest perhaps the prosecutor deliver you to the judge, and the judge deliver you to the officer, and you be cast into prison.

En vérité, je te dis, que tu ne sortiras point de là, jusqu’à ce que tu aies payé le dernier quadrin.

De cierto te digo, que no saldrás de allí, hasta que pagues el último cuadrante.

Verily I say unto thee, Thou shalt by no means come out thence, till thou hast paid the uttermost farthing.

Most certainly I tell you, you shall by no means get out of there until you have paid the last penny.

Vous avez entendu qu’il a été dit aux Anciens : Tu ne commettras point adultère.

Oísteis que fué dicho: No adulterarás:

Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:

“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery;’

Mais moi je vous dis, que quiconque regarde une femme pour la convoiter, il a déjà commis dans son coeur un adultère avec elle.

Mas yo os digo, que cualquiera que mira á una mujer para codiciarla, ya adulteró con ella en su corazón.

But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

but I tell you that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart.

Que si ton oeil droit te fait broncher, arrache-le, et le jette loin de toi ; car il vaut mieux qu’un de tes membres périsse, que si tout ton corps était jeté dans la géhenne.

Por tanto, si tu ojo derecho te fuere ocasión de caer, sácalo, y échalo de ti: que mejor te es que se pierda uno de tus miembros, que no que todo tu cuerpo sea echado al infierno.

And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

If your right eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and throw it away from you. For it is more profitable for you that one of your members should perish than for your whole body to be cast into Gehenna.

Et si ta main droite te fait broncher, coupe-la, et la jette loin de toi ; car il vaut mieux qu’un de tes membres périsse, que si tout ton corps était jeté dans la géhenne.

Y si tu mano derecha te fuere ocasión de caer, córtala, y échala de ti: que mejor te es que se pierda uno de tus miembros, que no que todo tu cuerpo sea echado al infierno.

And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

If your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off, and throw it away from you. For it is more profitable for you that one of your members should perish, than for your whole body to be cast into Gehenna.

Il a été dit encore : si quelqu’un répudie sa femme, qu’il lui donne la Lettre de divorce.

También fué dicho: Cualquiera que repudiare á su mujer, déle carta de divorcio:

It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement:

“It was also said, ‘Whoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorce,’

Mais moi je vous dis, que quiconque aura répudié sa femme, si ce n’est pour cause d’adultère, il la fait devenir adultère ; et quiconque se mariera à la femme répudiée, commet un adultère.

Mas yo os digo, que el que repudiare á su mujer, fuera de causa de fornicación, hace que ella adultere; y el que se casare con la repudiada, comete adulterio.

But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

but I tell you that whoever puts away his wife, except for the cause of sexual immorality, makes her an adulteress; and whoever marries her when she is put away commits adultery.

Vous avez aussi appris qu’il a été dit aux Anciens : tu ne te parjureras point, mais tu rendras au Seigneur ce que tu auras promis par jurement.

Además habéis oído que fué dicho á los antiguos: No te perjurarás; mas pagarás al Señor tus juramentos.

Again, ye have heard that it hath been said by them of old time, Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths:

“Again you have heard that it was said to the ancient ones, ‘You shall not make false vows, but shall perform to the Lord your vows,’

Mais moi, je vous dis : ne jurez en aucune manière ; ni par le ciel, car c’est le trône de Dieu ;

Mas yo os digo: No juréis en ninguna manera: ni por el cielo, porque es el trono de Dios;

But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God’s throne:

but I tell you, don’t swear at all: neither by heaven, for it is the throne of God;

Ni par la terre, car c’est le marchepied de ses pieds ; ni par Jérusalem, parce que c’est la ville du grand Roi.

Ni por la tierra, porque es el estrado de sus pies; ni por Jerusalem, porque es la ciudad del gran Rey.

Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King.

nor by the earth, for it is the footstool of his feet; nor by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King.

Tu ne jureras point non plus par ta tête ; car tu ne peux faire un cheveu blanc ou noir.

Ni por tu cabeza jurarás, porque no puedes hacer un cabello blanco ó negro.

Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black.

Neither shall you swear by your head, for you can’t make one hair white or black.

Mais que votre parole soit : oui, oui ; non, non ; car ce qui est de plus, est mauvais.

Mas sea vuestro hablar: Sí, sí; No, no; porque lo que es más de esto, de mal procede.

But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.

But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes’ and your ‘No’ be ‘No.’ Whatever is more than these is of the evil one.

Vous avez appris qu’il a été dit : oeil pour oeil, et dent pour dent.

Oísteis que fué dicho á los antiguos: Ojo por ojo, y diente por diente.

Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:

“You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.’

Mais moi, je vous dis : ne résistez point au mal ; mais si quelqu’un te frappe à ta joue droite, présente-lui aussi l’autre.

Mas yo os digo: No resistáis al mal; antes á cualquiera que te hiriere en tu mejilla diestra, vuélvele también la otra;

But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.

But I tell you, don’t resist him who is evil; but whoever strikes you on your right cheek, turn to him the other also.

Et si quelqu’un veut plaider contre toi, et t’ôter ta robe, laisse-lui encore le manteau.

Y al que quisiere ponerte á pleito y tomarte tu ropa, déjale también la capa;

And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloke also.

If anyone sues you to take away your coat, let him have your cloak also.

Et si quelqu’un te veut contraindre d’aller avec lui une lieue, vas-en deux.

Y á cualquiera que te cargare por una milla, ve con él dos.

And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.

Whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two.

Donne à celui qui te demande, et ne te détourne point de celui qui veut emprunter de toi.

Al que te pidiere, dale; y al que quisiere tomar de ti prestado, no se lo rehuses.

Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.

Give to him who asks you, and don’t turn away him who desires to borrow from you.

Vous avez appris qu’il a été dit : tu aimeras ton prochain, et tu haïras ton ennemi.

Oísteis que fué dicho: Amarás á tu prójimo, y aborrecerás á tu enemigo.

Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.

“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’

Mais moi je vous dis : aimez vos ennemis, et bénissez ceux qui vous maudissent, faites du bien à ceux qui vous haïssent, et priez pour ceux qui vous courent sus, et vous persécutent.

Mas yo os digo: Amad á vuestros enemigos, bendecid á los que os maldicen, haced bien á los que os aborrecen, y orad por los que os ultrajan y os persiguen;

But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you,

Afin que vous soyez les enfants de votre Père qui est aux cieux ; car il fait lever son soleil sur les méchants, et sur les gens de bien, et il envoie sa pluie sur les justes, et sur les injustes.

Para que seáis hijos de vuestro Padre que está en los cielos: que hace que su sol salga sobre malos y buenos, y llueve sobre justos é injustos.

That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

Car si vous aimez seulement ceux qui vous aiment, quelle récompense en aurez-vous ? Les péagers mêmes n’en font-ils pas tout autant ?

Porque si amareis á los que os aman, ¿qué recompensa tendréis? ¿no hacen también lo mismo los publicanos?

For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?

For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Don’t even the tax collectors do the same?

Et si vous faites accueil seulement à vos frères, que faites-vous plus que les autres ? les péagers mêmes ne le font-ils pas aussi ?

Y si abrazareis á vuestros hermanos solamente, ¿qué hacéis de más? ¿no hacen también así los Gentiles?

And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?

If you only greet your friends, what more do you do than others? Don’t even the tax collectors do the same?

Soyez donc parfaits, comme votre Père qui est aux cieux est parfait. Retournez au Début

Sed, pues, vosotros perfectos, como vuestro Padre que está en los cielos es perfecto.

Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.
