Wenn ihr (aber) betet, redet nicht gedankenlos (plappert nicht) wie die Heiden, denn sie denken (meinen) durch ihre vielen Worte werden sie erhört werden (wird auf sie gehört).

Y orando, no seáis prolijos, como los Gentiles; que piensan que por su parlería serán oídos.
