Tende cuidado que não façais obras de justiça diante das pessoas para serdes vistos por elas, pois não tereis recompensa do vosso Pai que está no céu.
MIRAD que no hagáis vuestra justicia delante de los hombres, para ser vistos de ellos: de otra manera no tendréis merced de vuestro Padre que está en los cielos.
Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.

Então, quando derdes esmolas, não toqueis a trombeta diante de vós mesmos como fazem os hipócritas nas sinagogas e nas estradas, a fim de terem o louvor das pessoas. Verdadeiramente eu vos digo: eles já receberam a sua recompensa.
Cuando pues haces limosna, no hagas tocar trompeta delante de ti, como hacen los hipócritas en las sinagogas y en las plazas, para ser estimados de los hombres: de cierto os digo, que ya tienen su recompensa.
Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

Todavia, quando derdes esmolas, não deixeis a vossa mão esquerda saber o que a vossa mão direita está fazendo,
Mas cuando tú haces limosna, no sepa tu izquierda lo que hace tu derecha;
But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:
But when you do merciful deeds, don’t let your left hand know what your right hand does,
para que as vossas esmolas sejam dadas em segredo; então o vosso Pai, que vê em segredo, vos recompensará.
Para que sea tu limosna en secreto: y tu Padre que ve en secreto, él te recompensará en público.
That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.
so that your merciful deeds may be in secret, then your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.
E, quando orardes, não sejais como os hipócritas, pois eles amam orar em pé nas sinagogas e nas esquinas das ruas, para serem vistos pelas pessoas. Verdadeiramente eu vos digo que eles já receberam a sua recompensa.
Y cuando oras, no seas como los hipócritas; porque ellos aman el orar en las sinagogas, y en los cantones de las calles en pie, para ser vistos de los hombres: de cierto os digo, que ya tienen su pago.
And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

Mas, quando orardes, entrai nos vossos quartos, fechai a porta, e orai a vosso Pai, que está em segredo; então vosso Pai, que vê em segredo, vos recompensará.
Mas tú, cuando oras, éntrate en tu cámara, y cerrada tu puerta, ora á tu Padre que está en secreto; y tu Padre que ve en secreto, te recompensará en público.
But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

E, quando orardes, não façais repetições inúteis, como fazem os gentios; pois eles pensam que serão ouvidos por causa de suas muitas palavras.
Y orando, no seáis prolijos, como los Gentiles; que piensan que por su parlería serán oídos.
But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

Portanto não sejais como eles, pois o vosso Pai sabe do que precisais antes de pedirdes a Ele.
No os hagáis, pues, semejantes á ellos; porque vuestro Padre sabe de qué cosas tenéis necesidad, antes que vosotros le pidáis.
Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
Therefore don’t be like them, for your Father knows what things you need before you ask him.
Portanto orai assim: 'Nosso Pai celestial, santificado seja o Teu nome.
Vosotros pues, oraréis así: Padre nuestro que estás en los cielos, santificado sea tu nombre.
After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Pray like this: “‘Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy.
Que o Teu reino venha. Que a Tua vontade seja feita na terra assim como é feita no céu.
Venga tu reino. Sea hecha tu voluntad, como en el cielo, así también en la tierra.
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Let your Kingdom come. Let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Porque se perdoardes as ofensas das pessoas, vosso Pai celestial também vos perdoará.
Porque si perdonareis á los hombres sus ofensas, os perdonará también á vosotros vuestro Padre celestial.
For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:

Mas se não perdoardes as ofensas das pessoas, vosso Pai não perdoará as vossas ofensas.
Mas si no perdonareis á los hombres sus ofensas, tampoco vuestro Padre os perdonará vuestras ofensas.
But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Além disso, quando jejuardes, não apresenteis tristeza no rosto, como fazem os hipócritas, pois eles desfiguram os seus rostos para demonstrar aparência de pessoas que jejuam. Verdadeiramente Eu vos digo que já receberam a recompensa deles.
Y cuando ayunáis, no seáis como los hipócritas, austeros; porque ellos demudan sus rostros para parecer á los hombres que ayunan: de cierto os digo, que ya tienen su pago.
Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
“Moreover when you fast, don’t be like the hypocrites, with sad faces. For they disfigure their faces that they may be seen by men to be fasting. Most certainly I tell you, they have received their reward.
Entretanto vós, quando jejuardes, ungi as vossas cabeças e lavai os vossos rostos,

But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face;

para que não demonstreis às pessoas que estais jejuando, mas apenas ao vosso Pai, que está em segredo. E vosso Pai, que vos vê em segredo, vos recompensará.
Para no parecer á los hombres que ayunas, sino á tu Padre que está en secreto: y tu Padre que ve en secreto, te recompensará en público.
That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.
so that you are not seen by men to be fasting, but by your Father who is in secret; and your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you.
Não acumuleis para vós tesouros na terra, onde traça e ferrugem os consomem, e onde ladrões invadem e roubam.
No os hagáis tesoros en la tierra, donde la polilla y el orín corrompe, y donde ladrones minan y hurtan;
Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
“Don’t lay up treasures for yourselves on the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal;
Em vez disso, acumulai tesouros no céu, onde nem traça nem ferrugem destroem, e onde ladrões não invadem nem roubam.
Mas haceos tesoros en el cielo, donde ni polilla ni orín corrompe, y donde ladrones no minan ni hurtan:
But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

Pois onde estiver o vosso tesouro, ali estará também o vosso coração.
Porque donde estuviere vuestro tesoro, allí estará vuestro corazón.
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Os olhos são a lâmpada do corpo. Portanto, se os vossos olhos são bons, todo o vosso corpo se encherá com luz.
La lámpara del cuerpo es el ojo: así que, si tu ojo fuere sincero, todo tu cuerpo será luminoso:
The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.
“The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is sound, your whole body will be full of light.
Mas, se os vossos olhos são maus, todo o vosso corpo se encherá de trevas. Assim, se a luz que está em vós são na verdade trevas, quão grandes são essas trevas!
Mas si tu ojo fuere malo, todo tu cuerpo será tenebroso. Así que, si la lumbre que en ti hay son tinieblas, ¿cuántas serán las mismas tinieblas?
But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!
But if your eye is evil, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!
Ninguém pode servir a dois senhores, pois irá odiar a um e amar o outro, ou será devoto de um e desprezará o outro. Não podeis servir a Deus e às riquezas.
Ninguno puede servir á dos señores; porque ó aborrecerá al uno y amará al otro, ó se llegará al uno y menospreciará al otro: no podéis servir á Dios y á Mammón.
No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Portanto Eu vos digo: não vos preocupeis com a vossa vida, o que comereis ou o que bebereis, ou acerca do vosso corpo, o que vestireis. Pois a vida não é mais do que a comida, nem o corpo mais do que as roupas?
Por tanto os digo: No os congojéis por vuestra vida, qué habéis de comer, ó qué habéis de beber; ni por vuestro cuerpo, qué habéis de vestir: ¿no es la vida más que el alimento, y el cuerpo que el vestido?
Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing?
Vede as aves do céu: elas não semeiam, nem colhem, nem se ajuntam em celeiros, contudo vosso Pai celestial as alimenta. Não sois muito mais valiosos do que elas?
Mirad las aves del cielo, que no siembran, ni siegan, ni allegan en alfolíes; y vuestro Padre celestial las alimenta. ¿No sois vosotros mucho mejores que ellas?
Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
See the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they?
E qual dentre vós que, sendo ansioso, pode adicionar um côvado a seu tempo de vida?
Mas ¿quién de vosotros podrá, congojándose, añadir á su estatura un codo?
Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
“Which of you by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan?
E por que estais ansiosos com o vestuário? Considerai os lírios dos campos, como eles crescem: eles não trabalham e não tecem roupa.
Y por el vestido ¿por qué os congojáis? Reparad los lirios del campo, cómo crecen; no trabajan ni hilan;
And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don’t toil, neither do they spin,
Ainda assim eu vos digo: até mesmo Salomão em toda a sua glória não se vestiu como um deles.

And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

Se Deus veste a grama dos campos, que existe hoje e amanhã é lançada ao forno, quanto mais Ele vos vestirá, homens de pequena fé?
Y si la hierba del campo que hoy es, y mañana es echada en el horno, Dios la viste así, ¿no hará mucho más á vosotros, hombres de poca fe?
Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won’t he much more clothe you, you of little faith?
Portanto não estejais ansiosos, dizendo: 'O que comeremos?' ou, 'O que beberemos?' ou, 'Com o que nos vestiremos?'
No os congojéis pues, diciendo: ¿Qué comeremos, ó qué beberemos, ó con qué nos cubriremos?
Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
“Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’
Pois os gentios buscam todas essas coisas, e o vosso Pai celestial sabe que precisais de todas elas.
Porque los Gentiles buscan todas estas cosas: que vuestro Padre celestial sabe que de todas estas cosas habéis menester.
(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.
Mas buscai primeiro o Seu reino e a Sua justiça e então todas essas coisas vos serão providenciadas.
Mas buscad primeramente el reino de Dios y su justicia, y todas estas cosas os serán añadidas.
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well.
Portanto não estejais ansiosos pelo amanhã, pois o amanhã trará suas próprias ansiedades. É suficiente ao dia de hoje o seu próprio mal.
Así que, no os congojéis por el día de mañana; que el día de mañana traerá su fatiga: basta al día su afán.
Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient.
