Guárdense de hacer su justicia delante de los hombres para que los vean. De otra manera, no tienen galardón de su Padre celestial.
MIRAD que no hagáis vuestra justicia delante de los hombres, para ser vistos de ellos: de otra manera no tendréis merced de vuestro Padre que está en los cielos.
Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.
“Be careful that you don’t do your charitable giving before men, to be seen by them, or else you have no reward from your Father who is in heaven.
Cuando des limosna, no toques trompeta delante de ti, como hacen los hipócritas en las congregaciones y en las calles para ser alabados por los hombres. En verdad les digo que ya reciben su recompensa.
Cuando pues haces limosna, no hagas tocar trompeta delante de ti, como hacen los hipócritas en las sinagogas y en las plazas, para ser estimados de los hombres: de cierto os digo, que ya tienen su recompensa.
Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
Therefore, when you do merciful deeds, don’t sound a trumpet before yourself, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may get glory from men. Most certainly I tell you, they have received their reward.
Pero tú, cuando des limosna, no sepa tu izquierda lo que hace tu derecha,
Mas cuando tú haces limosna, no sepa tu izquierda lo que hace tu derecha;
But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:
But when you do merciful deeds, don’t let your left hand know what your right hand does,
para que así tu limosna sea en secreto, y tu Padre, que ve en lo secreto, te recompensará.
Para que sea tu limosna en secreto: y tu Padre que ve en secreto, él te recompensará en público.
That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.
so that your merciful deeds may be in secret, then your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.
Cuando ustedes hablen con Dios, no sean como los hipócritas, que aman hablar con Dios de pie en las congregaciones y en las esquinas de las plazas para exhibirse ante los hombres. En verdad les digo que ya reciben su recompensa.
Y cuando oras, no seas como los hipócritas; porque ellos aman el orar en las sinagogas, y en los cantones de las calles en pie, para ser vistos de los hombres: de cierto os digo, que ya tienen su pago.
And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

Pero tú, cuando hables con Dios, entra en tu habitación privada, cierra con llave tu puerta y habla con tu Padre que está en secreto. Tu Padre, que ve en lo secreto, te recompensará.
Mas tú, cuando oras, éntrate en tu cámara, y cerrada tu puerta, ora á tu Padre que está en secreto; y tu Padre que ve en secreto, te recompensará en público.
But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

Cuando hablen con Dios, no parloteen como los gentiles que piensan que por su palabrería serán oídos.
Y orando, no seáis prolijos, como los Gentiles; que piensan que por su parlería serán oídos.
But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
In praying, don’t use vain repetitions as the Gentiles do; for they think that they will be heard for their much speaking.
No sean semejantes a ellos, porque su Padre sabe cuáles cosas necesitan antes que ustedes le pidan.
No os hagáis, pues, semejantes á ellos; porque vuestro Padre sabe de qué cosas tenéis necesidad, antes que vosotros le pidáis.
Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
Therefore don’t be like them, for your Father knows what things you need before you ask him.
Por tanto hablen con Dios así: Padre nuestro celestial, santificado sea tu Nombre.
Vosotros pues, oraréis así: Padre nuestro que estás en los cielos, santificado sea tu nombre.
After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Pray like this: “‘Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy.
Venga tu reino. Que se haga tu voluntad en la tierra, como en el cielo.
Venga tu reino. Sea hecha tu voluntad, como en el cielo, así también en la tierra.
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Let your Kingdom come. Let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
El pan nuestro de cada día, dánoslo hoy.
Danos hoy nuestro pan cotidiano.
Give us this day our daily bread.

Perdónanos nuestras deudas, como también nosotros ya perdonamos a nuestros deudores.

Porque si perdonan a los hombres sus ofensas, también su Padre celestial los perdonará.

Pero si no perdonan a los hombres, tampoco su Padre perdonará sus ofensas.

Cuando ayunen, no sean como los hipócritas, quienes desfiguran sus rostros para demostrar a los hombres que ayunan. En verdad les digo, ya reciben toda su recompensa.
Y cuando ayunáis, no seáis como los hipócritas, austeros; porque ellos demudan sus rostros para parecer á los hombres que ayunan: de cierto os digo, que ya tienen su pago.
Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
“Moreover when you fast, don’t be like the hypocrites, with sad faces. For they disfigure their faces that they may be seen by men to be fasting. Most certainly I tell you, they have received their reward.
Pero cuando tú ayunes, perfúmate la cabeza y lávate la cara,
Mas tú, cuando ayunas, unge tu cabeza y lava tu rostro;
But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face;

para que no les parezca a los hombres que ayunas, sino a tu Padre que está en secreto. Y tu Padre, que ve en lo secreto, te recompensará.
Para no parecer á los hombres que ayunas, sino á tu Padre que está en secreto: y tu Padre que ve en secreto, te recompensará en público.
That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.
so that you are not seen by men to be fasting, but by your Father who is in secret; and your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you.
No acumulen tesoros en la tierra, donde la polilla y el óxido corroen, y donde los ladrones penetran y roban.
No os hagáis tesoros en la tierra, donde la polilla y el orín corrompe, y donde ladrones minan y hurtan;
Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
“Don’t lay up treasures for yourselves on the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal;
Pero acumulen tesoros en el cielo, donde ni la polilla ni el óxido corroen y donde los ladrones no penetran ni roban.
Mas haceos tesoros en el cielo, donde ni polilla ni orín corrompe, y donde ladrones no minan ni hurtan:
But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consume, and where thieves don’t break through and steal;
Porque donde está tu tesoro, allí estará también tu corazón.
Porque donde estuviere vuestro tesoro, allí estará vuestro corazón.
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

La lámpara del cuerpo es el ojo. Así que, si tu ojo está sano, todo tu cuerpo estará lleno de luz.

The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.
“The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is sound, your whole body will be full of light.
Pero si tu ojo está enfermo, todo tu cuerpo estará sumido en oscuridad. Si la luz que hay en ti es oscuridad, ¿cuánto más será la misma oscuridad?
Mas si tu ojo fuere malo, todo tu cuerpo será tenebroso. Así que, si la lumbre que en ti hay son tinieblas, ¿cuántas serán las mismas tinieblas?
But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!
But if your eye is evil, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!
Ninguno puede servir a dos señores, porque aborrecerá al uno y amará al otro, o se apegará al uno y despreciará al otro. No pueden ustedes servir a Dios y a la riqueza.
Ninguno puede servir á dos señores; porque ó aborrecerá al uno y amará al otro, ó se llegará al uno y menospreciará al otro: no podéis servir á Dios y á Mammón.
No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
“No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You can’t serve both God and Mammon.
Por tanto les digo: No se afanen por su vida: qué comerán, ni por su cuerpo: con qué se cubrirán. ¿No es la vida más que la comida, y el cuerpo más que la ropa?
Por tanto os digo: No os congojéis por vuestra vida, qué habéis de comer, ó qué habéis de beber; ni por vuestro cuerpo, qué habéis de vestir: ¿no es la vida más que el alimento, y el cuerpo que el vestido?
Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing?
Miren las aves del cielo, las cuales no siembran, ni cosechan, ni recogen en graneros, pero el Padre celestial de ustedes las alimenta. ¿No valen ustedes mucho más que ellas?
Mirad las aves del cielo, que no siembran, ni siegan, ni allegan en alfolíes; y vuestro Padre celestial las alimenta. ¿No sois vosotros mucho mejores que ellas?
Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
See the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they?
¿Quién de ustedes puede, aunque se afane, añadir a su estatura unos centímetros?
Mas ¿quién de vosotros podrá, congojándose, añadir á su estatura un codo?
Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
“Which of you by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan?
También en cuanto a la ropa, ¿por qué se afanan? Consideren atentamente cómo crecen los lirios del campo: No trabajan con fatiga, ni hilan.
Y por el vestido ¿por qué os congojáis? Reparad los lirios del campo, cómo crecen; no trabajan ni hilan;
And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don’t toil, neither do they spin,
Pero les digo que ni Salomón en todo su esplendor se vistió como uno solo de éstos.
Mas os digo, que ni aun Salomón con toda su gloria fué vestido así como uno de ellos.
And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

Si la hierba del campo, que hoy existe y mañana se echa al horno, Dios la viste así, ¿no hará mucho más a ustedes, hombres de poca fe?
Y si la hierba del campo que hoy es, y mañana es echada en el horno, Dios la viste así, ¿no hará mucho más á vosotros, hombres de poca fe?
Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won’t he much more clothe you, you of little faith?
Por tanto no se afanen ni digan: ¿Qué comeremos, qué beberemos o con qué nos vestiremos?
No os congojéis pues, diciendo: ¿Qué comeremos, ó qué beberemos, ó con qué nos cubriremos?
Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
“Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’
Porque los gentiles buscan con afán todas esas cosas, pero su Padre celestial sabe que las necesitan todas.
Porque los Gentiles buscan todas estas cosas: que vuestro Padre celestial sabe que de todas estas cosas habéis menester.
(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.
Por tanto busquen primeramente el reino de Dios y la justicia de Él, y todas estas cosas se les añadirán.
Mas buscad primeramente el reino de Dios y su justicia, y todas estas cosas os serán añadidas.
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well.
No se afanen por el mañana, porque el mañana se preocupa de sí mismo. Basta a cada día su propio mal.
Así que, no os congojéis por el día de mañana; que el día de mañana traerá su fatiga: basta al día su afán.
Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient.
