Als er dann vom Berge herabgestiegen war, folgten ihm große Volksscharen nach.

And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.

Behold, a leper came to him and worshiped him, saying, “Lord, if you want to, you can make me clean.”

Jesus streckte seine Hand aus, faßte ihn an und sagte: »Ich will’s, werde rein!« Da wurde er sogleich von seinem Aussatz rein.

Y extendiendo Jesús su mano, le tocó, diciendo: Quiero; sé limpio. Y luego su lepra fué limpiada.

And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

Jesus stretched out his hand and touched him, saying, “I want to. Be made clean.” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

Darauf sagte Jesus zu ihm: »Hüte dich, jemandem etwas davon zu sagen! Gehe vielmehr hin, zeige dich dem Priester und bringe die Opfergabe dar, die Mose geboten hat, zum Zeugnis für sie!«

Entonces Jesús le dijo: Mira, no lo digas á nadie; mas ve, muéstrate al sacerdote, y ofrece el presente que mandó Moisés, para testimonio á ellos.

And Jesus saith unto him, See thou tell no man; but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.

Jesus said to him, “See that you tell nobody; but go, show yourself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.”

Als er hierauf nach Kapernaum hineinkam, trat ein Hauptmann zu ihm und bat ihn

Y entrando Jesús en Capernaum, vino á él un centurión, rogándole,

And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him,

When he came into Capernaum, a centurion came to him, asking him for help,

mit den Worten: »Herr, mein Diener liegt gelähmt bei mir zu Hause darnieder und leidet schreckliche Schmerzen.«

Y diciendo: Señor, mi mozo yace en casa paralítico, gravemente atormentado.

And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented.

saying, “Lord, my servant lies in the house paralyzed, grievously tormented.”

Jesus antwortete ihm: »Ich will kommen und ihn heilen.«

Y Jesús le dijo: Yo iré y le sanaré.

And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him.

Jesus said to him, “I will come and heal him.”

Der Hauptmann aber entgegnete: »Herr, ich bin nicht wert, daß du unter mein Dach trittst; nein, gebiete nur mit einem Wort, dann wird mein Diener gesund werden.

Y respondió el centurión, y dijo: Señor, no soy digno de que entres debajo de mi techado; mas solamente di la palabra, y mi mozo sanará.

The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.

The centurion answered, “Lord, I’m not worthy for you to come under my roof. Just say the word, and my servant will be healed.

Ich bin ja auch ein Mann, der unter höherem Befehl steht, und habe Mannschaften unter mir, und wenn ich zu dem einen sage: ›Gehe!‹, so geht er, und zu dem andern: ›Komm!‹, so kommt er, und zu meinem Diener: ›Tu das!‹, so tut er’s.«

Porque también yo soy hombre bajo de potestad, y tengo bajo de mí soldados: y digo á éste: Ve, y va; y al otro: Ven, y viene; y á mi siervo: Haz esto, y lo hace.

For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.

For I am also a man under authority, having under myself soldiers. I tell this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and tell another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and tell my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”

Als Jesus das hörte, verwunderte er sich und sagte zu seinen Begleitern: »Wahrlich ich sage euch: In Israel habe ich bei niemand solchen Glauben gefunden.

Y oyendo Jesús, se maravilló, y dijo á los que le seguían: De cierto os digo, que ni aun en Israel he hallado fe tanta.

When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.

Ich sage euch aber: Viele werden von Osten und Westen kommen und sich mit Abraham, Isaak und Jakob im Himmelreich zum Mahl niederlassen;

Y os digo que vendrán muchos del oriente y del occidente, y se sentarán con Abraham, é Isaac, y Jacob, en el reino de los cielos:

And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.

I tell you that many will come from the east and the west, and will sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the Kingdom of Heaven,

aber die Söhne des Reiches werden in die Finsternis draußen hinausgestoßen werden; dort wird lautes Weinen und Zähneknirschen sein.«

Mas los hijos del reino serán echados á las tinieblas de afuera: allí será el lloro y el crujir de dientes.

But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Zu dem Hauptmann aber sagte Jesus: »Geh hin! Wie du geglaubt hast, so geschehe dir!« Und sein Diener wurde zur selben Stunde gesund.

Entonces Jesús dijo al centurión: Ve, y como creiste te sea hecho. Y su mozo fué sano en el mismo momento.

And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.

Jesus said to the centurion, “Go your way. Let it be done for you as you have believed.” His servant was healed in that hour.

Als Jesus dann in das Haus des Petrus gekommen war, sah er dessen Schwiegermutter fieberkrank zu Bett liegen.

Y vino Jesús á casa de Pedro, y vió á su suegra echada en cama, y con fiebre.

And when Jesus was come into Peter’s house, he saw his wife’s mother laid, and sick of a fever.

When Jesus came into Peter’s house, he saw his wife’s mother lying sick with a fever.

Er faßte sie bei der Hand, da wich das Fieber von ihr: sie stand auf und bediente ihn (bei der Mahlzeit).

Y tocó su mano, y la fiebre la dejó: y ella se levantó, y les servía.

And he touched her hand, and the fever left her: and she arose, and ministered unto them.

He touched her hand, and the fever left her. So she got up and served him.

Als es dann Abend geworden war, brachte man viele Besessene zu ihm, und er trieb die bösen Geister durchs Wort aus und heilte alle, die ein Leiden hatten.

Y como fué ya tarde, trajeron á él muchos endemoniados; y echó los demonios con la palabra, y sanó á todos los enfermos;

When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick:

When evening came, they brought to him many possessed with demons. He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick,

So sollte sich das Wort des Propheten Jesaja erfüllen, der da sagt: »Er hat unsere Gebrechen hinweggenommen und unsere Krankheiten getragen.«

Para que se cumpliese lo que fué dicho por el profeta Isaías, que dijo: El mismo tomó nuestras enfermedades, y llevó nuestras dolencias.

That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.

Als Jesus sich dann wieder von großen Volksscharen umgeben sah, befahl er, an das jenseitige Ufer des Sees hinüberzufahren.

Y viendo Jesús muchas gentes alrededor de sí, mandó pasar á la otra parte del lago.

Now when Jesus saw great multitudes about him, he gave commandment to depart unto the other side.

Da trat ein Schriftgelehrter an ihn heran mit den Worten: »Meister, ich will dir folgen, wohin du auch gehst!«

Y llegándose un escriba, le dijo: Maestro, te seguiré á donde quiera que fueres.

And a certain scribe came, and said unto him, Master, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest.

A scribe came and said to him, “Teacher, I will follow you wherever you go.”

Jesus antwortete ihm: »Die Füchse haben Gruben und die Vögel des Himmels Nester; der Menschensohn aber hat keine Stätte, wo er sein Haupt hinlegen kann.« –

Y Jesús le dijo: Las zorras tienen cavernas, y las aves del cielo nidos; mas el Hijo del hombre no tiene donde recueste su cabeza.

And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.

Jesus said to him, “The foxes have holes and the birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head.”

Ein anderer von seinen Jüngern sagte zu ihm: »Herr, erlaube mir, zuerst noch hinzugehen und meinen Vater zu begraben!«

Y otro de sus discípulos le dijo: Señor, dame licencia para que vaya primero, y entierre á mi padre.

And another of his disciples said unto him, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.

Another of his disciples said to him, “Lord, allow me first to go and bury my father.”

Jesus aber antwortete ihm: »Folge du mir nach, und überlaß es den Toten, ihre Toten zu begraben!«

Y Jesús le dijo: Sígueme; deja que los muertos entierren á sus muertos.

But Jesus said unto him, Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead.

But Jesus said to him, “Follow me, and leave the dead to bury their own dead.”

Jesus stieg dann ins Boot, und seine Jünger folgten ihm.

Y entrando él en el barco, sus discípulos le siguieron.

And when he was entered into a ship, his disciples followed him.

When he got into a boat, his disciples followed him.

Da erhob sich (plötzlich) ein heftiger Sturm auf dem See, so daß das Boot von den Wellen bedeckt wurde; er selbst aber schlief.

Y he aquí, fué hecho en la mar un gran movimiento, que el barco se cubría de las ondas; mas él dormía.

And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep.

Behold, a violent storm came up on the sea, so much that the boat was covered with the waves; but he was asleep.

Da traten sie an ihn heran und weckten ihn mit den Worten: »Herr, hilf uns: wir gehen unter!«

Y llegándose sus discípulos, le despertaron, diciendo: Señor, sálvanos, que perecemos.

And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish.

The disciples came to him and woke him up, saying, “Save us, Lord! We are dying!”

Er aber antwortete ihnen: »Was seid ihr so furchtsam, ihr Kleingläubigen!« Dann stand er auf und bedrohte die Winde und den See; da trat völlige Windstille ein.

Y él les dice: ¿Por qué teméis, hombres de poca fe? Entonces, levantándose, reprendió á los vientos y á la mar; y fué grande bonanza.

And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.

He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then he got up, rebuked the wind and the sea, and there was a great calm.

Die Leute aber verwunderten sich und sagten: »Was ist das für ein Mann, daß sogar die Winde und der See ihm gehorsam sind!«

Y los hombres se maravillaron, diciendo: ¿Qué hombre es éste, que aun los vientos y la mar le obedecen?

But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!

The men marveled, saying, “What kind of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?”

Als er hierauf an das jenseitige Ufer in das Gebiet der Gadarener gekommen war, traten ihm zwei von bösen Geistern besessene Männer entgegen, die aus den Gräbern hervorkamen und so gemeingefährliche Menschen waren, daß niemand auf der Straße dort an ihnen vorbeigehen konnte.

Y como él hubo llegado en la otra ribera al país de los Gergesenos, le vinieron al encuentro dos endemoniados que salían de los sepulcros, fieros en gran manera, que nadie podía pasar por aquel camino.

And when he was come to the other side into the country of the Gergesenes, there met him two possessed with devils, coming out of the tombs, exceeding fierce, so that no man might pass by that way.

When he came to the other side, into the country of the Gergesenes, two people possessed by demons met him there, coming out of the tombs, exceedingly fierce, so that nobody could pass that way.

Kaum hatten sie ihn erblickt, da schrien sie laut: »Was hast du mit uns vor, du Sohn Gottes? Bist du hergekommen, um uns vor der Zeit zu quälen?«

Y he aquí clamaron, diciendo: ¿Qué tenemos contigo, Jesús, Hijo de Dios? ¿has venido acá á molestarnos antes de tiempo?

And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?

Behold, they cried out, saying, “What do we have to do with you, Jesus, Son of God? Have you come here to torment us before the time?”

Es befand sich aber in weiter Entfernung von ihnen eine große Herde Schweine auf der Weide.

Y estaba lejos de ellos un hato de muchos puercos paciendo.

And there was a good way off from them an herd of many swine feeding.

Now there was a herd of many pigs feeding far away from them.

Da baten ihn die bösen Geister: »Wenn du uns austreiben willst, so laß uns doch in die Schweineherde fahren!«

Y los demonios le rogaron, diciendo: Si nos echas, permítenos ir á aquel hato de puercos.

So the devils besought him, saying, If thou cast us out, suffer us to go away into the herd of swine.

The demons begged him, saying, “If you cast us out, permit us to go away into the herd of pigs.”

Er antwortete ihnen: »Hinweg mit euch!« Da fuhren sie aus und fuhren in die Schweine hinein, und die ganze Herde stürmte infolgedessen den Abhang hinab in den See und ertrank in den Fluten.

Y les dijo: Id. Y ellos salieron, y se fueron á aquel hato de puercos: y he aquí, todo el hato de los puercos se precipitó de un despeñadero en la mar, y murieron en las aguas.

And he said unto them, Go. And when they were come out, they went into the herd of swine: and, behold, the whole herd of swine ran violently down a steep place into the sea, and perished in the waters.

He said to them, “Go!” They came out and went into the herd of pigs; and behold, the whole herd of pigs rushed down the cliff into the sea and died in the water.

Die Hirten aber ergriffen die Flucht und berichteten nach ihrer Ankunft in der Stadt den ganzen Vorfall, auch das, was mit den beiden Besessenen vorgegangen war.

Y los porqueros huyeron, y viniendo á la ciudad, contaron todas las cosas, y lo que había pasado con los endemoniados.

And they that kept them fled, and went their ways into the city, and told every thing, and what was befallen to the possessed of the devils.

Those who fed them fled and went away into the city and told everything, including what happened to those who were possessed with demons.

Da zog die Einwohnerschaft der ganzen Stadt hinaus, Jesus entgegen, und als sie bei ihm eingetroffen waren, baten sie ihn, er möchte ihr Gebiet verlassen.

Y he aquí, toda la ciudad salió á encontrar á Jesús: y cuando le vieron, le rogaban que saliese de sus términos.

And, behold, the whole city came out to meet Jesus: and when they saw him, they besought him that he would depart out of their coasts.

Behold, all the city came out to meet Jesus. When they saw him, they begged that he would depart from their borders.
