Um dia os discípulos de João Batista vieram a Jesus e lhe perguntaram: “Por que os seus discípulos não jejuam, como nós fazemos, e como fazem os fariseus?”

Entonces los discípulos de Juan vienen á él, diciendo: ¿Por qué nosotros y los Fariseos ayunamos muchas veces, y tus discípulos no ayunan?

Then came to him the disciples of John, saying, Why do we and the Pharisees fast oft, but thy disciples fast not?

Then John’s disciples came to him, saying, “Why do we and the Pharisees fast often, but your disciples don’t fast?”
