Er stieg nun in ein Boot, fuhr über den See zurück und kam wieder in seine Stadt (Kapernaum).

ENTONCES entrando en el barco, pasó á la otra parte, y vino á su ciudad.

And he entered into a ship, and passed over, and came into his own city.

Dort brachte man ihm einen Gelähmten, der auf einem Tragbett lag. Weil nun Jesus ihren Glauben sah, sagte er zu dem Gelähmten: »Sei getrost, mein Sohn: deine Sünden sind (dir) vergeben!«

Y he aquí le trajeron un paralítico, echado en una cama: y viendo Jesús la fe de ellos, dijo al paralítico: Confía, hijo; tus pecados te son perdonados.

And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee.

Behold, they brought to him a man who was paralyzed, lying on a bed. Jesus, seeing their faith, said to the paralytic, “Son, cheer up! Your sins are forgiven you.”

Da dachten einige von den Schriftgelehrten bei sich: »Dieser lästert Gott!«

Y he aquí, algunos de los escribas decían dentro de sí: Este blasfema.

And, behold, certain of the scribes said within themselves, This man blasphemeth.

Weil nun Jesus ihre Gedanken durchschaute, sagte er: »Warum denkt ihr Böses in euren Herzen?

Y viendo Jesús sus pensamientos, dijo: ¿Por qué pensáis mal en vuestros corazones?

And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts?

Was ist denn leichter, zu sagen: ›Deine Sünden sind (dir) vergeben‹ oder zu sagen: ›Stehe auf und gehe umher!‹?

Porque, ¿qué es más fácil, decir: Los pecados te son perdonados; ó decir: Levántate, y anda?

For whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and walk?

For which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven;’ or to say, ‘Get up, and walk’?

Damit ihr aber wißt, daß der Menschensohn die Vollmacht besitzt, Sünden auf der Erde zu vergeben« – hierauf sagte er zu dem Gelähmten: »Stehe auf, nimm dein Bett und gehe heim in dein Haus!«

Pues para que sepáis que el Hijo del hombre tiene potestad en la tierra de perdonar pecados, (dice entonces al paralítico): Levántate, toma tu cama, y vete á tu casa.

But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house.

Da stand er auf und ging heim in sein Haus.

Als die Volksmenge das sah, gerieten sie in Furcht und priesen Gott, daß er den Menschen solche Macht gegeben habe.

Als Jesus dann von dort weiterging, sah er einen Mann namens Matthäus an der Zollstätte sitzen und sagte zu ihm: »Folge mir nach!« Da stand er auf und folgte ihm.

Y pasando Jesús de allí, vió á un hombre que estaba sentado al banco de los públicos tributos, el cual se llamaba Mateo; y dícele: Sígueme. Y se levantó, y le siguió.

And as Jesus passed forth from thence, he saw a man, named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he saith unto him, Follow me. And he arose, and followed him.

As Jesus passed by from there, he saw a man called Matthew sitting at the tax collection office. He said to him, “Follow me.” He got up and followed him.

Als Jesus dann im Hause (des Matthäus) zu Tische saß, kamen viele Zöllner und Sünder und nahmen mit Jesus und seinen Jüngern am Mahle teil.

Y aconteció que estando él sentado á la mesa en casa, he aquí que muchos publicanos y pecadores, que habían venido, se sentaron juntamente á la mesa con Jesús y sus discípulos.

And it came to pass, as Jesus sat at meat in the house, behold, many publicans and sinners came and sat down with him and his disciples.

As he sat in the house, behold, many tax collectors and sinners came and sat down with Jesus and his disciples.

Als die Pharisäer das sahen, sagten sie zu seinen Jüngern: »Warum ißt euer Meister mit den Zöllnern und Sündern?«

Y viendo esto los Fariseos, dijeron á sus discípulos: ¿Por qué come vuestro Maestro con los publicanos y pecadores?

And when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto his disciples, Why eateth your Master with publicans and sinners?

When the Pharisees saw it, they said to his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?”

Als Jesus es hörte, sagte er: »Die Gesunden haben keinen Arzt nötig, wohl aber die Kranken.

Y oyéndolo Jesús, les dijo: Los que están sanos no tienen necesidad de médico, sino los enfermos.

But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.

Geht aber hin und lernt das Wort verstehen: ›An Barmherzigkeit habe ich Wohlgefallen, nicht an Schlachtopfern‹; denn ich bin nicht gekommen, um Gerechte zu berufen, sondern Sünder.«

Andad pues, y aprended qué cosa es: Misericordia quiero, y no sacrificio: porque no he venido á llamar justos, sino pecadores á arrepentimiento.

But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

But you go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice,’ for I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”

Damals traten die Jünger des Johannes an ihn heran mit der Frage: »Warum fasten wir und die Pharisäer (zum Zeichen der Frömmigkeit), während deine Jünger es nicht tun?«

Entonces los discípulos de Juan vienen á él, diciendo: ¿Por qué nosotros y los Fariseos ayunamos muchas veces, y tus discípulos no ayunan?

Then came to him the disciples of John, saying, Why do we and the Pharisees fast oft, but thy disciples fast not?

Then John’s disciples came to him, saying, “Why do we and the Pharisees fast often, but your disciples don’t fast?”

Jesus antwortete ihnen: »Können etwa die Hochzeitsgäste trauern, solange der Bräutigam noch in ihrer Mitte weilt? Es werden aber Tage kommen, wo der Bräutigam ihnen genommen ist: dann werden sie fasten.

Y Jesús les dijo: ¿Pueden los que son de bodas tener luto entre tanto que el esposo está con ellos? mas vendrán días cuando el esposo será quitado de ellos, y entonces ayunarán.

And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then shall they fast.

Jesus said to them, “Can the friends of the bridegroom mourn as long as the bridegroom is with them? But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast.

Niemand setzt aber ein Stück ungewalkten Tuches auf ein altes Kleid; denn der eingesetzte Fleck reißt doch von dem Kleide wieder ab, und es entsteht ein noch schlimmerer Riß.

Y nadie echa remiendo de paño recio en vestido viejo; porque el tal remiendo tira del vestido, y se hace peor la rotura.

No man putteth a piece of new cloth unto an old garment, for that which is put in to fill it up taketh from the garment, and the rent is made worse.

No one puts a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment; for the patch would tear away from the garment, and a worse hole is made.

Auch füllt man neuen Wein nicht in alte Schläuche; sonst werden die Schläuche gesprengt, und der Wein läuft aus, und auch die Schläuche gehen verloren; nein, man füllt neuen Wein in neue Schläuche: dann bleiben beide erhalten.«

Ni echan vino nuevo en cueros viejos: de otra manera los cueros se rompen, y el vino se derrama, y se pierden los cueros; mas echan el vino nuevo en cueros nuevos, y lo uno y lo otro se conserva juntamente.

Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved.

Neither do people put new wine into old wineskins, or else the skins would burst, and the wine be spilled, and the skins ruined. No, they put new wine into fresh wineskins, and both are preserved.”

Während Jesus noch so zu ihnen redete, trat ein Vorsteher (der Synagoge) herzu, warf sich vor ihm nieder und sagte: »Meine Tochter ist soeben gestorben; aber komm und lege ihr deine Hand auf, dann wird sie wieder zum Leben erwachen.«

Hablando él estas cosas á ellos, he aquí vino un principal, y le adoraba, diciendo: Mi hija es muerta poco ha: mas ven y pon tu mano sobre ella, y vivirá.

While he spake these things unto them, behold, there came a certain ruler, and worshipped him, saying, My daughter is even now dead: but come and lay thy hand upon her, and she shall live.

While he told these things to them, behold, a ruler came and worshiped him, saying, “My daughter has just died, but come and lay your hand on her, and she will live.”

Da stand Jesus auf und folgte ihm samt seinen Jüngern.

Y se levantó Jesús, y le siguió, y sus discípulos.

And Jesus arose, and followed him, and so did his disciples.

Und siehe, eine Frau, die seit zwölf Jahren am Blutfluß litt, trat von hinten an ihn heran und faßte die Quaste seines Rockes an;

And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment:

Behold, a woman who had a discharge of blood for twelve years came behind him, and touched the fringe of his garment;

sie dachte nämlich bei sich: »Wenn ich nur seinen Rock anfasse, so wird mir geholfen sein.«

Porque decía entre sí: Si tocare solamente su vestido, seré salva.

For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole.

for she said within herself, “If I just touch his garment, I will be made well.”

Jesus aber wandte sich um, und als er sie sah, sagte er: »Sei getrost, meine Tochter, dein Glaube hat dir geholfen!« Und die Frau war von dieser Stunde an gesund.

Mas Jesús volviéndose, y mirándola, dijo: Confía, hija, tu fe te ha salvado. Y la mujer fué salva desde aquella hora.

But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.

But Jesus, turning around and seeing her, said, “Daughter, cheer up! Your faith has made you well.” And the woman was made well from that hour.

Als Jesus dann in das Haus des Vorstehers kam und die Flötenbläser und das Getümmel der Volksmenge sah,

Y llegado Jesús á casa del principal, viendo los tañedores de flautas, y la gente que hacía bullicio,

And when Jesus came into the ruler’s house, and saw the minstrels and the people making a noise,

When Jesus came into the ruler’s house and saw the flute players and the crowd in noisy disorder,

sagte er: »Entfernt euch! Das Mädchen ist nicht tot, sondern schläft nur.« Da verlachten sie ihn.

Díceles: Apartaos, que la muchacha no es muerta, mas duerme. Y se burlaban de él.

He said unto them, Give place: for the maid is not dead, but sleepeth. And they laughed him to scorn.

he said to them, “Make room, because the girl isn’t dead, but sleeping.” They were ridiculing him.

Als man aber die Volksmenge aus dem Hause entfernt hatte, ging er (zu der Toten) hinein und faßte sie bei der Hand: da erwachte das Mädchen.

Y como la gente fué echada fuera, entró, y tomóla de la mano, y se levantó la muchacha.

But when the people were put forth, he went in, and took her by the hand, and the maid arose.

But when the crowd was sent out, he entered in, took her by the hand, and the girl arose.

Die Kunde hiervon verbreitete sich in der ganzen dortigen Gegend.

Y salió esta fama por toda aquella tierra.

And the fame hereof went abroad into all that land.

The report of this went out into all that land.

Als Jesus hierauf von dort weiterging, folgten ihm zwei Blinde, die laut riefen: »Sohn Davids, erbarme dich unser!«

Y pasando Jesús de allí, le siguieron dos ciegos, dando voces y diciendo: Ten misericordia de nosotros, Hijo de David.

And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou Son of David, have mercy on us.

As Jesus passed by from there, two blind men followed him, calling out and saying, “Have mercy on us, son of David!”

Als er dann in das Haus gekommen war, traten die Blinden zu ihm heran, und Jesus fragte sie: »Glaubt ihr, daß ich (euch) dies zu tun vermag?« Sie antworteten ihm: »Ja, Herr!«

Y llegado á la casa, vinieron á él los ciegos; y Jesús les dice: ¿Creéis que puedo hacer esto? Ellos dicen: Sí, Señor.

And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord.

When he had come into the house, the blind men came to him. Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” They told him, “Yes, Lord.”

Da rührte er ihre Augen an und sagte: »Nach eurem Glauben geschehe euch!«

Entonces tocó los ojos de ellos, diciendo: Conforme á vuestra fe os sea hecho.

Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.

Then he touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith be it done to you.”

Da taten sich ihre Augen auf; Jesus aber gab ihnen die strenge Weisung: »Hütet euch! Niemand darf etwas davon erfahren!«

Y los ojos de ellos fueron abiertos. Y Jesús les encargó rigurosamente, diciendo: Mirad que nadie lo sepa.

And their eyes were opened; and Jesus straitly charged them, saying, See that no man know it.

Then their eyes were opened. Jesus strictly commanded them, saying, “See that no one knows about this.”

Sobald sie aber hinausgegangen waren, verbreiteten sie die Kunde von ihm in jener ganzen Gegend.

Mas ellos salidos, divulgaron su fama por toda aquella tierra.

But they, when they were departed, spread abroad his fame in all that country.

But they went out and spread abroad his fame in all that land.

Während diese hinausgingen, brachte man schon wieder einen stummen Besessenen zu ihm;

Y saliendo ellos, he aquí, le trajeron un hombre mudo, endemoniado.

As they went out, behold, they brought to him a dumb man possessed with a devil.

As they went out, behold, a mute man who was demon possessed was brought to him.

und als der böse Geist ausgetrieben war, konnte der Stumme reden. Da geriet die Volksmenge in Staunen und sagte: »Noch niemals hat man etwas Derartiges in Israel gesehen!«

Y echado fuera el demonio, el mudo habló; y las gentes se maravillaron, diciendo: Nunca ha sido vista cosa semejante en Israel.

And when the devil was cast out, the dumb spake: and the multitudes marvelled, saying, It was never so seen in Israel.

When the demon was cast out, the mute man spoke. The multitudes marveled, saying, “Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel!”

Die Pharisäer aber erklärten: »Im Bunde mit dem Obersten der bösen Geister treibt er die Geister aus.«

Mas los Fariseos decían: Por el príncipe de los demonios echa fuera los demonios.

But the Pharisees said, He casteth out devils through the prince of the devils.

But the Pharisees said, “By the prince of the demons, he casts out demons.”

So durchwanderte Jesus alle Städte und Dörfer, indem er in ihren Synagogen lehrte, die Heilsbotschaft vom Reiche (Gottes) verkündigte und alle Krankheiten und alle Gebrechen heilte.

Y rodeaba Jesús por todas las ciudades y aldeas, enseñando en las sinagogas de ellos, y predicando el evangelio del reino, y sanando toda enfermedad y todo achaque en el pueblo.

And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.

Beim Anblick der Volksscharen aber erfaßte ihn tiefes Mitleid mit ihnen, denn sie waren abgehetzt und verwahrlost wie Schafe, die keinen Hirten haben.

Y viendo las gentes, tuvo compasión de ellas; porque estaban derramadas y esparcidas como ovejas que no tienen pastor.

But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.

Da sagte er zu seinen Jüngern: »Die Ernte ist groß, aber die Zahl der Arbeiter ist klein;

Entonces dice á sus discípulos: A la verdad la mies es mucha, mas los obreros pocos.

Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;

Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest indeed is plentiful, but the laborers are few.

bittet daher den Herrn der Ernte, daß er Arbeiter auf sein Erntefeld sende!«

Rogad, pues, al Señor de la mies, que envíe obreros á su mies.

Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.
