O thou that art named the house of Jacob, is the spirit of the LORD straitened? are these his doings? do not my words do good to him that walketh uprightly?
Shall it be said, O house of Jacob, “Is the LORD’s Spirit angry? Are these his doings? Don’t my words do good to him who walks blamelessly?”
Ich will aber dich, Jakob, versammeln ganz und die übrigen in Israel zuhauf bringen; ich will sie wie eine Herde miteinander in einen festen Stall tun und wie eine Herde in seine Hürden, daß es von Menschen tönen soll.
El que ayer era mi pueblo, se ha levantado como enemigo: tras las vestiduras quitasteis las capas atrevidamente á los que pasaban, como los que vuelven de la guerra.
Even of late my people is risen up as an enemy: ye pull off the robe with the garment from them that pass by securely as men averse from war.

Und ich sprach: Höret doch, ihr Häupter im Hause Jakob und ihr Fürsten im Hause Israel! Ihr solltet es billig sein, die das Recht wüßten.

If a man walking in the spirit and falsehood do lie, saying, I will prophesy unto thee of wine and of strong drink; he shall even be the prophet of this people.
If a man walking in a spirit of falsehood lies, saying, “I will prophesy to you of wine and of strong drink,” he would be the prophet of this people.
und fresset das Fleisch meines Volks; und wenn ihr ihnen die Haut abgezogen habt, zerbrecht ihr ihnen auch die Beine und zerleget es wie in einen Topf und wie Fleisch in einen Kessel.
De cierto te reuniré todo, oh Jacob: recogeré ciertamente el resto de Israel: pondrélo junto como ovejas de Bosra, como rebaño en mitad de su majada: harán estruendo por la multitud de los hombres.
I will surely assemble, O Jacob, all of thee; I will surely gather the remnant of Israel; I will put them together as the sheep of Bozrah, as the flock in the midst of their fold: they shall make great noise by reason of the multitude of men.

Darum wenn ihr nun zum HERRN schreien werdet, wird er euch nicht erhören, sondern wird sein Angesicht vor euch verbergen zur selbigen Zeit, wie ihr mit eurem bösen Wesen verdienet habt.

The breaker is come up before them: they have broken up, and have passed through the gate, and are gone out by it: and their king shall pass before them, and the LORD on the head of them.
