¡Ay de vosotros que no pensáis sino en cosas vanas, y maquináis allá en vuestros lechos perversos designios! Los ejecutan al llegar la luz de la mañana; porque ellos se han declarado contra Dios.

Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, against this family do I devise an evil, from which ye shall not remove your necks; neither shall ye go haughtily: for this time is evil.

En aquel día se compondrá sobre vosotros una parábola o lamentación, y se os cantará con tono lastimero esta canción: Nosotros hemos sido enteramente asolados; ha cambiado de dueño la herencia de mi pueblo; ¿cómo se retirará de mí el castigo, puesto que vuelve al asirio, el cual se ha de repartir nuestros campos?
En aquel tiempo se levantará sobre vosotros refrán, y se endechará endecha de lamentación, diciendo: Del todo fuimos destruídos; ha cambiado la parte de mi pueblo. ¡Cómo nos quitó nuestros campos! dió, repartiólos á otros.
In that day shall one take up a parable against you, and lament with a doleful lamentation, and say, We be utterly spoiled: he hath changed the portion of my people: how hath he removed it from me! turning away he hath divided our fields.

Por esto ya no tendrás tú, ¡oh Israel!, quien reparta con la medida de cuerda las porciones de tierra en la congregación del Señor.
Por tanto, no tendrás quien eche cordel para suerte en la congregación de Jehová.
Therefore thou shalt have none that shall cast a cord by lot in the congregation of the LORD.

No gastéis, ¡oh profetas!, tantas palabras con este pueblo; porque no las recibirán éstos; ni les causarán confusión alguna.
No profeticéis, dicen á los que profetizan; no les profeticen que los ha de comprender vergüenza.

Pues la casa de Jacob va diciendo: Qué, ¿por ventura se ha disminuido el espíritu misericordioso del Señor, o pueden ser tales sus designios? Pero ¿acaso no hablo yo, responde Dios, con benignidad a aquellos que andan por el recto camino?
La que te dices casa de Jacob, ¿hase acortado el espíritu de Jehová? ¿son éstas sus obras? ¿Mis palabras no hacen bien al que camina derechamente?
O thou that art named the house of Jacob, is the spirit of the LORD straitened? are these his doings? do not my words do good to him that walketh uprightly?
Shall it be said, O house of Jacob, “Is the LORD’s Spirit angry? Are these his doings? Don’t my words do good to him who walks blamelessly?”
Mas el pueblo mío, por el contrario, ha alzado bandera contra mí; vosotros, ¡oh israelitas!, después de la túnica habéis robado la capa, y a aquellos que pasaban o vivían quietamente les habéis hecho la guerra.
El que ayer era mi pueblo, se ha levantado como enemigo: tras las vestiduras quitasteis las capas atrevidamente á los que pasaban, como los que vuelven de la guerra.
Even of late my people is risen up as an enemy: ye pull off the robe with the garment from them that pass by securely as men averse from war.
But lately my people have risen up as an enemy. You strip the robe and clothing from those who pass by without a care, returning from battle.
Arrojasteis de sus casas las mujeres de mi pueblo, que vivían en ellas con sosiego; y a sus niños les cerrasteis la boca para que jamás me alabasen.
A las mujeres de mi pueblo echasteis fuera de las casas de sus delicias: á sus niños quitasteis mi perpetua alabanza.
The women of my people have ye cast out from their pleasant houses; from their children have ye taken away my glory for ever.

Levantaos, y marchad, porque no habéis ya de tener aquí descanso; pues esta tierra de promisión se ha hecho inmunda, y por eso está contaminada de una corrupción horrorosa.
Levantaos, y andad, que no es ésta la holganza; porque está contaminada, corrompióse, y de grande corrupción.
Arise ye, and depart; for this is not your rest: because it is polluted, it shall destroy you, even with a sore destruction.

¡Ojalá fuera yo un hombre que no tuviese el espíritu profético, sino que fuera falso lo que digo! Yo derramaré sobre ti, dice el Señor, el vino y la embriaguez del cáliz de mi indignación; y este vino sobre este pueblo se derramará.
Si hubiere alguno que ande con el viento, y finja mentiras diciendo: Yo te profetizaré de vino y de sidra; este tal será profeta á este pueblo.
If a man walking in the spirit and falsehood do lie, saying, I will prophesy unto thee of wine and of strong drink; he shall even be the prophet of this people.
If a man walking in a spirit of falsehood lies, saying, “I will prophesy to you of wine and of strong drink,” he would be the prophet of this people.
Pero al fin, yo te reuniré todo junto, ¡oh Jacob !, yo recogeré en uno los restos de Israel, los pondré todos juntos como rebaño en un aprisco, como las ovejas en la majada; grande será el ruido que hagan sus gentes.
De cierto te reuniré todo, oh Jacob: recogeré ciertamente el resto de Israel: pondrélo junto como ovejas de Bosra, como rebaño en mitad de su majada: harán estruendo por la multitud de los hombres.
I will surely assemble, O Jacob, all of thee; I will surely gather the remnant of Israel; I will put them together as the sheep of Bozrah, as the flock in the midst of their fold: they shall make great noise by reason of the multitude of men.

E irá delante de ellas aquel buen Pastor que les abrirá el camino; forzarán la puerta, pasarán por ella, y entrarán dentro; y su rey irá delante de ellas; y estará a su frente el Señor.
Subirá rompedor delante de ellos; romperán y pasarán la puerta, y saldrán por ella: y su rey pasará delante de ellos, y á la cabeza de ellos Jehová.
The breaker is come up before them: they have broken up, and have passed through the gate, and are gone out by it: and their king shall pass before them, and the LORD on the head of them.
He who breaks open the way goes up before them. They break through the gate, and go out. Their king passes on before them, with the LORD at their head.
