Or, c'est de toi Bethléem-Efrata, si peu importante parmi les groupes de Juda, c'est de toi que je veux que sorte celui qui est destiné à dominer sur Israël et dont l'origine remonte aux temps lointains, aux jours antiques.

REÚNETE ahora en bandas, oh hija de bandas: nos han sitiado: con vara herirán sobre la quijada al juez de Israel.

Now gather thyself in troops, O daughter of troops: he hath laid siege against us: they shall smite the judge of Israel with a rod upon the cheek.

Now you shall gather yourself in troops, daughter of troops. He has laid siege against us. They will strike the judge of Israel with a rod on the cheek.

C'est pourquoi il les abandonnera †à eux-mêmes jusqu'au jour où enfantera celle qui doit enfanter, et où le reste de ses frères viendra retrouver les enfants d’Israël.

Mas tú, Beth-lehem Ephrata, pequeña para ser en los millares de Judá, de ti me saldrá el que será Señor en Israel; y sus salidas son desde el principio, desde los días del siglo.

But thou, Beth-lehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.

But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, being small among the clans of Judah, out of you one will come out to me who is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings out are from of old, from ancient times.

Lui se lèvera et conduira †son troupeau, grâce à la puissance du Seigneur et du nom glorieux de l'Eternel, son Dieu; ils demeureront en paix, car dès lors sa grandeur éclatera jusqu'aux confins de la terre.

Empero los dejará hasta el tiempo que para la que ha de parir; y el resto de sus hermanos se tornará con los hijos de Israel.

Therefore will he give them up, until the time that she which travaileth hath brought forth: then the remnant of his brethren shall return unto the children of Israel.

Therefore he will abandon them until the time that she who is in labor gives birth. Then the rest of his brothers will return to the children of Israel.

Alors régnera la paix! Que si Achour envahit notre pays et foule nos palais, nous lui opposerons sept pasteurs et huit conducteurs d’hommes.

Y estará, y apacentará con fortaleza de Jehová, con grandeza del nombre de Jehová su Dios: y asentarán; porque ahora será engrandecido hasta los fines de la tierra.

And he shall stand and feed in the strength of the LORD, in the majesty of the name of the LORD his God; and they shall abide: for now shall he be great unto the ends of the earth.

He shall stand, and shall shepherd in the strength of the LORD, in the majesty of the name of the LORD his God. They will live, for then he will be great to the ends of the earth.

Ceux-ci feront leur pâture du pays d'Achour par l'épée, de la terre de Nemrod dans sa propre enceinte. Ainsi on nous protégera contre Achour s'il envahit notre pays, et s'il met le pied sur notre territoire.

Y éste será nuestra paz. Cuando Assur viniere á nuestra tierra, y cuando pisare nuestros palacios, entonces levantaremos contra él siete pastores, y ocho hombres principales;

And this man shall be the peace, when the Assyrian shall come into our land: and when he shall tread in our palaces, then shall we raise against him seven shepherds, and eight principal men.

He will be our peace when Assyria invades our land and when he marches through our fortresses, then we will raise against him seven shepherds, and eight leaders of men.

Les survivants de Jacob seront au milieu de la foule des peuples comme la rosée que Dieu envoie, comme l'ondée sur l'herbe qui ne comptent pas sur l'homme et n'attendent rien des fils d'Adam.

Y comerán la tierra de Assur á cuchillo, y la tierra de Nimrod con sus espadas: y nos librará del Asirio, cuando viniere contra nuestra tierra y hollare nuestros términos.

And they shall waste the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in the entrances thereof: thus shall he deliver us from the Assyrian, when he cometh into our land, and when he treadeth within our borders.

They will rule the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in its gates. He will deliver us from the Assyrian, when he invades our land, and when he marches within our border.

Les survivants de Jacob seront parmi les peuples, au milieu de la foule des nations, comme le lion parmi les animaux de la forêt, le lionceau parmi les troupeaux de brebis; quand il passe, il foule aux pieds, il déchire, sans que personne porte secours.

Y será el residuo de Jacob en medio de muchos pueblos, como el rocío de Jehová, como las lluvias sobre la hierba, las cuales no esperan varón, ni aguardan á hijos de hombres.

And the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many people as a dew from the LORD, as the showers upon the grass, that tarrieth not for man, nor waiteth for the sons of men.

The remnant of Jacob will be among many peoples like dew from the LORD, like showers on the grass, that don’t wait for man nor wait for the sons of men.

Ainsi ta main dominera tes adversaires, et tous tes ennemis seront exterminés.

Asimismo será el resto de Jacob entre las gentes, en medio de muchos pueblos, como el león entre las bestias de la montaña, como el cachorro del león entre las manadas de las ovejas, el cual si pasare, y hollare, y arrebatare, no hay quien escape.

And the remnant of Jacob shall be among the Gentiles in the midst of many people as a lion among the beasts of the forest, as a young lion among the flocks of sheep: who, if he go through, both treadeth down, and teareth in pieces, and none can deliver.

The remnant of Jacob will be among the nations, among many peoples, like a lion among the animals of the forest, like a young lion among the flocks of sheep; who, if he goes through, treads down and tears in pieces, and there is no one to deliver.

En ces jours, dit l'Eternel, je ferai disparaître de ton pays ta cavalerie, et je détruirai tes chars †de guerre.

Tu mano se alzará sobre tus enemigos, y todos tus adversarios serán talados.

Thine hand shall be lifted up upon thine adversaries, and all thine enemies shall be cut off.

Let your hand be lifted up above your adversaries, and let all of your enemies be cut off.

Je supprimerai de ton pays les villes †fortifiées, et je raserai toutes tes citadelles.

Y acontecerá en aquel día, dice Jehová, que haré matar tus caballos de en medio de ti, y haré destruir tus carros.

And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD, that I will cut off thy horses out of the midst of thee, and I will destroy thy chariots:

“It will happen in that day”, says the LORD, “that I will cut off your horses from among you and will destroy your chariots.

J'enlèverai toutes les pratiques de sorcellerie de tes mains, il n'y aura plus de devins chez toi.

Haré también destruir las ciudades de tu tierra, y arruinaré todas tus fortalezas.

And I will cut off the cities of thy land, and throw down all thy strong holds:

I will cut off the cities of your land and will tear down all your strongholds.

J'extirperai de ton sein tes images sculptées et tes statues, et tu ne te prosterneras plus devant l'œuvre de tes mains.

Asimismo destruiré de tu mano las hechicerías, y no se hallarán en ti agoreros.

And I will cut off witchcrafts out of thine hand; and thou shalt have no more soothsayers:

I will destroy witchcraft from your hand. You shall have no soothsayers.

J'arracherai de ton sol les idoles d'Astarté, et je détruirai tes ennemis.

Y haré destruir tus esculturas y tus imágenes de en medio de ti, y nunca más te inclinarás á la obra de tus manos;

Thy graven images also will I cut off, and thy standing images out of the midst of thee; and thou shalt no more worship the work of thine hands.

I will cut off your engraved images and your pillars from among you; and you shall no more worship the work of your hands.

Avec colère et emportement, j'exercerai des représailles sur les peuples qui n'auront pas obéi.

Y arrancaré tus bosques de en medio de ti, y destruiré tus ciudades.

And I will pluck up thy groves out of the midst of thee: so will I destroy thy cities.

I will uproot your Asherah poles from among you; and I will destroy your cities.

Y con ira y con furor haré venganza en las gentes que no escucharon.

And I will execute vengeance in anger and fury upon the heathen, such as they have not heard.

I will execute vengeance in anger and wrath on the nations that didn’t listen.”
