Marcos 10

Und von dort brach (stand) er auf und zog (kam) in das Gebiet von Judäa und (und zwar) das †Land jenseits des Jordans, und wieder einmal (erneut) liefen Menschenmengen bei ihm zusammen, und wie es seine Gewohnheit war, lehrte er sie auch diesmal (wieder).

Y PARTIÉNDOSE de allí, vino á los términos de Judea y tras el Jordán: y volvió el pueblo á juntarse á él; y de nuevo les enseñaba como solía.

And he arose from thence, and cometh into the coasts of Judæa by the farther side of Jordan: and the people resort unto him again; and, as he was wont, he taught them again.

He arose from there and came into the borders of Judea and beyond the Jordan. Multitudes came together to him again. As he usually did, he was again teaching them.

Daraufhin (Und) kamen einige Pharisäer herbei und wollten von ihm wissen (erkundigten sich), ob es einem Mann erlaubt sei, sich von †seiner Frau zu scheiden (wegzuschicken), um (wobei sie) ihm eine Falle zu stellen (ihn auf die Probe zu stellen; zu testen).

Y llegándose los Fariseos, le preguntaron, para tentarle, si era lícito al marido repudiar á su mujer.

And the Pharisees came to him, and asked him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife? tempting him.

Pharisees came to him testing him, and asked him, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?”

Er jedoch erwiderte {und sagte zu ihnen}: „Was hat euch Mose vorgeschrieben (geboten)?“

Mas él respondiendo, les dijo: ¿Qué os mandó Moisés?

And he answered and said unto them, What did Moses command you?

He answered, “What did Moses command you?”

Und sie sagten: „Mose hat es zugelassen, †der Frau einen Scheidungsbrief zu schreiben und †sich dann von ihr zu scheiden (wegzuschicken).“

Y ellos dijeron: Moisés permitió escribir carta de divorcio, y repudiar.

And they said, Moses suffered to write a bill of divorcement, and to put her away.

They said, “Moses allowed a certificate of divorce to be written, and to divorce her.”

Aber Jesus sagte zu ihnen: „Angesichts (wegen, mit Rücksicht auf) eurer Sturheit (Herzenshärte) hat er euch dieses Gebot (Vorschrift) aufgeschrieben (gegeben).

Y respondiendo Jesús, les dijo: Por la dureza de vuestro corazón os escribió este mandamiento;

And Jesus answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept.

But Jesus said to them, “For your hardness of heart, he wrote you this commandment.

Aber seit †dem Beginn der Schöpfung »hat er sie männlich und weiblich gemacht.«

Pero al principio de la creación, varón y hembra los hizo Dios.

But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.

»Aus diesem Grund wird ein Mann seinen Vater und seine Mutter verlassen, und er wird sich mit seiner Frau vereinen (zusammenschließen)

Por esto dejará el hombre á su padre y á su madre, y se juntará á su mujer.

For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife;

For this cause a man will leave his father and mother, and will join to his wife,

und die beiden (zwei) werden zu einem Fleisch (Körper) sein (werden)«, daher sind sie nicht länger zwei, sondern ein Fleisch (Körper).

Y los que eran dos, serán hechos una carne: así que no son más dos, sino una carne.

And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.

and the two will become one flesh, so that they are no longer two, but one flesh.

Was Gott verbunden (vereinigt, zusammengefügt) hat, das soll (darf) darum ein (†der) Mensch nicht trennen.“

Pues lo que Dios juntó, no lo aparte el hombre.

What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate.”

Als (Und) sich die Jünger im Haus (zu Hause) bei ihm noch einmal (wieder) danach erkundigten (fragten),

Y en casa volvieron los discípulos á preguntarle de lo mismo.

And in the house his disciples asked him again of the same matter.

In the house, his disciples asked him again about the same matter.

da (und) sagte er zu ihnen: „Jeder, der (Wer immer) sich von seiner Frau scheidet und eine andere heiratet, bricht an ihr die Ehe,

Y les dice: Cualquiera que repudiare á su mujer, y se casare con otra, comete adulterio contra ella:

And he saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her.

He said to them, “Whoever divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery against her.

und wenn sie sich von ihrem Mann geschieden hat und einen anderen heiratet, bricht sie die Ehe.“

Y si la mujer repudiare á su marido y se casare con otro, comete adulterio.

And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.

If a woman herself divorces her husband and marries another, she commits adultery.”

Und †die Leute versuchten, Kinder zu ihm zu bringen (brachten), um {er} sie zu berühren, aber die Jünger wiesen sie unfreundlich ab (schimpften sie).

Y le presentaban niños para que los tocase; y los discípulos reñían á los que los presentaban.

And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them.

They were bringing to him little children, that he should touch them, but the disciples rebuked those who were bringing them.

Doch als Jesus †das sah, wurde er ärgerlich (ungehalten) und sagte zu ihnen: „Lasst die Kinder zu mir kommen! Haltet sie nicht auf, denn solchen †wie ihnen gehört Gottes Reich (Herrschaft).

Y viéndolo Jesús, se enojó, y les dijo: Dejad los niños venir, y no se lo estorbéis; porque de los tales es el reino de Dios.

But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.

But when Jesus saw it, he was moved with indignation and said to them, “Allow the little children to come to me! Don’t forbid them, for God’s Kingdom belongs to such as these.

Ja (Amen, Wahrlich), ich sage euch: Jeder, der (Wer immer) Gottes Reich (Herrschaft) nicht wie ein Kind annimmt, kommt bestimmt nicht hinein.“

De cierto os digo, que el que no recibiere el reino de Dios como un niño, no entrará en él.

Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.

Most certainly I tell you, whoever will not receive God’s Kingdom like a little child, he will in no way enter into it.”

Und er nahm sie in die Arme und segnete sie, indem er ihnen die Hände auflegte.

Y tomándolos en los brazos, poniendo las manos sobre ellos, los bendecía.

And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.

He took them in his arms and blessed them, laying his hands on them.

Und als er nach draußen auf die Straße kam (sich auf den Weg machte), kam einer angerannt und kniete sich vor ihm hin. Er fragte ihn: „Guter Lehrer, was muss (soll) ich tun, um {ich} ewiges Leben zu bekommen (Anteil am … zu erhalten; erben)?“

Y saliendo él para ir su camino, vino uno corriendo, é hincando la rodilla delante de él, le preguntó: Maestro bueno, ¿qué haré para poseer la vida eterna?

And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?

As he was going out into the way, one ran to him, knelt before him, and asked him, “Good Teacher, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?”

Jesus aber sagte zu ihm: „Warum nennst du ''mich'' gut? Niemand ist gut außer einem: Gott.

Y Jesús le dijo: ¿Por qué me dices bueno? Ninguno hay bueno, sino sólo uno, Dios.

And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.

Jesus said to him, “Why do you call me good? No one is good except one—God.

Du kennst die Gebote: »Töte (morde) nicht, brich die Ehe nicht, stiehl nicht, mache keine Falschaussage; unterschlage (betrüge, enthalte vor, raube) nicht; ehre deinen Vater und deine Mutter.«

Los mandamientos sabes: No adulteres: No mates: No hurtes: No digas falso testimonio: No defraudes: Honra á tu padre y á tu madre.

Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother.

You know the commandments: ‘Do not murder,’ ‘Do not commit adultery,’ ‘Do not steal,’ ‘Do not give false testimony,’ ‘Do not defraud,’ ‘Honor your father and mother.’”

Der †Mann {aber} entgegnete (sagte) {ihm}: »Lehrer, das alles habe ich seit meiner Jugend befolgt (beachtet) .«

El entonces respondiendo, le dijo: Maestro, todo esto he guardado desde mi mocedad.

And he answered and said unto him, Master, all these have I observed from my youth.

He said to him, “Teacher, I have observed all these things from my youth.”

Jesus {aber} sah ihn an und gewann ihn lieb , und er sagte zu ihm: »Eins fehlt dir †noch: Geh, verkaufe alles, was du hast, und gib †den Erlös den Armen, dann (und) wirst du einen Schatz im Himmel haben. Und †dann komm, folge mir nach!«

Entonces Jesús mirándole, amóle, y díjole: Una cosa te falta: ve, vende todo lo que tienes, y da á los pobres, y tendrás tesoro en el cielo; y ven, sígueme, tomando tu cruz.

Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.

Jesus looking at him loved him, and said to him, “One thing you lack. Go, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me, taking up the cross.”

Doch der †Mann war erschüttert (getroffen; enttäuscht) über diese Forderung (das Gesagte; Wort) und ging traurig davon, denn er besaß viele Güter.

Mas él, entristecido por esta palabra, se fué triste, porque tenía muchas posesiones.

And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions.

But his face fell at that saying, and he went away sorrowful, for he was one who had great possessions.

Und Jesus schaute sich um und sagte zu seinen Jüngern (Schülern): »Wie schwer werden †es die Wohlhabenden †haben, in Gottes Reich (Königsherrschaft) zu kommen!«

Entonces Jesús, mirando alrededor, dice á sus discípulos: ¡Cuán difícilmente entrarán en el reino de Dios los que tienen riquezas!

And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!

Jesus looked around and said to his disciples, “How difficult it is for those who have riches to enter into God’s Kingdom!”

Die Jünger {aber} waren von seinen Worten überrascht (bestürzt, entgeistert). Doch Jesus sagte noch einmal zu ihnen : »Kinder , wie schwer ist es, in Gottes Reich (Königsherrschaft) zu kommen!

Y los discípulos se espantaron de sus palabras; mas Jesús respondiendo, les volvió á decir: ¡Hijos, cuán difícil es entrar en el reino de Dios, los que confían en las riquezas!

And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!

The disciples were amazed at his words. But Jesus answered again, “Children, how hard it is for those who trust in riches to enter into God’s Kingdom!

Es ist leichter †für ein Kamel , durch das Nadelöhr zu kommen, als †für einen Reichen, in Gottes Reich (Königsherrschaft) zu kommen.«

Más fácil es pasar un camello por el ojo de una aguja, que el rico entrar en el reino de Dios.

It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

It is easier for a camel to go through a needle’s eye than for a rich man to enter into God’s Kingdom.”

Da waren sie völlig entgeistert (außer sich, erstaunt, überwältigt) und sagten zu einander: »Wer kann dann gerettet werden?!?«

Y ellos se espantaban más, diciendo dentro de sí: ¿Y quién podrá salvarse?

And they were astonished out of measure, saying among themselves, Who then can be saved?

They were exceedingly astonished, saying to him, “Then who can be saved?”

Jesus sah sie an und sagte: »Bei Menschen †ist es unmöglich, aber nicht bei Gott: Denn bei Gott †ist alles möglich.«

Entonces Jesús mirándolos, dice: Para los hombres es imposible; mas para Dios, no; porque todas las cosas son posibles para Dios.

And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.

Jesus, looking at them, said, “With men it is impossible, but not with God, for all things are possible with God.”

Petrus sagte zu ihm: »Du weißt (Siehe), wir haben alles verlassen und sind dir nachgefolgt (haben uns dir angeschlossen)!«

Entonces Pedro comenzó á decirle: He aquí, nosotros hemos dejado todas las cosas, y te hemos seguido.

Then Peter began to say unto him, Lo, we have left all, and have followed thee.

Peter began to tell him, “Behold, we have left all and have followed you.”

Jesus sagte: »Ja (Amen, Wahrlich), ich sage euch: Es gibt niemanden, der Haus (Haushalt), {oder} Brüder oder Schwestern, {oder} Mutter, {oder} Vater oder Kinder oder Felder wegen mir und wegen des Evangeliums (der Heilsbotschaft) zurückgelassen (verlassen) hat,

Y respondiendo Jesús, dijo: De cierto os digo, que no hay ninguno que haya dejado casa, ó hermanos, ó hermanas, ó padre, ó madre, ó mujer, ó hijos, ó heredades, por causa de mí y del evangelio,

And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s,

Jesus said, “Most certainly I tell you, there is no one who has left house, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or land, for my sake, and for the sake of the Good News,

der nicht †das Hundertfache †dafür bekommen wird (bekommt): jetzt, in dieser Zeit, Häuser und Brüder, {und} Schwestern, {und} Mütter, {und} Kinder und Felder, †wenn auch unter Verfolgungen, und im kommenden Zeitalter (Welt) ewiges Leben.

Que no reciba cien tantos ahora en este tiempo, casas, y hermanos, y hermanas, y madres, é hijos, y heredades, con persecuciones; y en el siglo venidero la vida eterna.

But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.

but he will receive one hundred times more now in this time: houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and land, with persecutions; and in the age to come eternal life.

Und (Aber) viele Erste werden Letzte sein und die Letzten Erste.«

Empero muchos primeros serán postreros, y postreros primeros.

But many that are first shall be last; and the last first.

But many who are first will be last, and the last first.”

Sie {aber} waren auf dem Weg nach Jerusalem, und Jesus ging ihnen voran, und (da) †die Jünger (Leute) wunderten sich darüber (wurden von Beklommenheit erfasst; erschraken), und (aber) die, die hinter ihm gingen (die ihm Folgenden, seine Nachfolger), bekamen Angst. Da (und) nahm er die Zwölf noch einmal beiseite und teilte ihnen mit , was mit ihm geschehen würde:

Y estaban en el camino subiendo á Jerusalem; y Jesús iba delante de ellos, y se espantaban, y le seguían con miedo: entonces volviendo á tomar á los doce aparte, les comenzó á decir las cosas que le habían de acontecer:

And they were in the way going up to Jerusalem; and Jesus went before them: and they were amazed; and as they followed, they were afraid. And he took again the twelve, and began to tell them what things should happen unto him,

They were on the way, going up to Jerusalem; and Jesus was going in front of them, and they were amazed; and those who followed were afraid. He again took the twelve, and began to tell them the things that were going to happen to him.

»Wir gehen jetzt {hinauf} nach Jerusalem, dann wird der Menschensohn (Sohn des Menschen; Mensch) an die obersten (führenden, Hohen) Priester und die Schriftgelehrten (Schreibern) ausgeliefert werden, und sie werden ihn †zum Tod verurteilen und ihn an die Heiden (Nichtjuden) ausliefern,

He aquí subimos á Jerusalem, y el Hijo del hombre será entregado á los príncipes de los sacerdotes, y á los escribas, y le condenarán á muerte, y le entregarán á los Gentiles:

Saying, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be delivered unto the chief priests, and unto the scribes; and they shall condemn him to death, and shall deliver him to the Gentiles:

“Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem. The Son of Man will be delivered to the chief priests and the scribes. They will condemn him to death, and will deliver him to the Gentiles.

und sie werden ihn verspotten, und sie werden ihn anspucken, und sie werden ihn auspeitschen und töten, und nach drei Tagen wird er auferstehen.«

Y le escarnecerán, y le azotarán, y escupirán en él, y le matarán; mas al tercer día resucitará.

And they shall mock him, and shall scourge him, and shall spit upon him, and shall kill him: and the third day he shall rise again.

They will mock him, spit on him, scourge him, and kill him. On the third day he will rise again.”

Und Jakobus und Johannes, die Söhne von Zebedäus, kamen auf ihn zu und sagten zu ihm: »Lehrer, wir wollen, dass du †für uns tust, worum wir dich auch bitten werden.«

Entonces Jacobo y Juan, hijos de Zebedeo, se llegaron á él, diciendo: Maestro, querríamos que nos hagas lo que pidiéremos.

And James and John, the sons of Zebedee, come unto him, saying, Master, we would that thou shouldest do for us whatsoever we shall desire.

James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came near to him, saying, “Teacher, we want you to do for us whatever we will ask.”

Da sagte er zu ihnen: »Was wollt ihr, dass ich †für euch tun soll?«

Y él les dijo: ¿Qué queréis que os haga?

And he said unto them, What would ye that I should do for you?

He said to them, “What do you want me to do for you?”

Sie sagten zu ihm: »Gewähre uns , {dass wir} in deiner Herrlichkeit (Herrschaft, Ehre) einer an deiner rechten und einer an deiner linken †Seite zu sitzen!«

Y ellos le dijeron: Danos que en tu gloria nos sentemos el uno á tu diestra, y el otro á tu siniestra.

They said unto him, Grant unto us that we may sit, one on thy right hand, and the other on thy left hand, in thy glory.

They said to him, “Grant to us that we may sit, one at your right hand and one at your left hand, in your glory.”

Da sagte Jesus zu ihnen: »Ihr wisst nicht, um was ihr †da bittet! Könnt ihr den Becher (Kelch) trinken, den ''ich'' trinke, oder †mit der Taufe getauft werden , mit der ''ich'' getauft werde?«

Entonces Jesús les dijo: No sabéis lo que pedís. ¿Podéis beber del vaso que yo bebo, ó ser bautizados del bautismo de que yo soy bautizado?

But Jesus said unto them, Ye know not what ye ask: can ye drink of the cup that I drink of? and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?

But Jesus said to them, “You don’t know what you are asking. Are you able to drink the cup that I drink, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?”

Sie aber sagten zu ihm: »†Das können wir!« Jesus aber sprach zu ihnen: »Den Becher (Kelch), den ich trinke, werdet ihr trinken, und †mit der Taufe, mit der ich getauft werde, werdet ihr getauft werden ,

Y ellos dijeron: Podemos. Y Jesús les dijo: A la verdad, del vaso que yo bebo, beberéis; y del bautismo de que yo soy bautizado, seréis bautizados.

And they said unto him, We can. And Jesus said unto them, Ye shall indeed drink of the cup that I drink of; and with the baptism that I am baptized withal shall ye be baptized:

They said to him, “We are able.” Jesus said to them, “You shall indeed drink the cup that I drink, and you shall be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with;

aber es ist nicht meine Sache (steht mir nicht zu), †euch das Sitzen an meiner rechten oder linken †Seite zu gewähren, , sondern †das Sitzen steht denjenigen zu, †für die es vorgesehen (bestimmt, bereitet) ist.«

Mas que os sentéis á mi diestra y á mi siniestra, no es mío darlo, sino á quienes está aparejado.

But to sit on my right hand and on my left hand is not mine to give; but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared.

but to sit at my right hand and at my left hand is not mine to give, but for whom it has been prepared.”

Und als die zehn †anderen Jünger das hörten, waren sie wütend (ärgerten sie sich) auf Jakobus und Johannes.

Y como lo oyeron los diez, comenzaron á enojarse de Jacobo y de Juan.

And when the ten heard it, they began to be much displeased with James and John.

When the ten heard it, they began to be indignant toward James and John.

Und (da) Jesus rief sie zu sich und sagte zu ihnen: »Ihr wisst, dass diejenigen, die als Regierende der Völker (nichtjüdischen Völker, Nichtjuden) angesehen sind (gelten), die Menschen beherrschen (unterdrücken), und †dass ihre Großen (Mächtigen) die Menschen ihre Macht spüren lassen (ihre Macht über sie missbrauchen).

Mas Jesús, llamándolos, les dice: Sabéis que los que se ven ser príncipes entre las gentes, se enseñorean de ellas, y los que entre ellas son grandes, tienen sobre ellas potestad.

But Jesus called them to him, and saith unto them, Ye know that they which are accounted to rule over the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and their great ones exercise authority upon them.

Jesus summoned them and said to them, “You know that they who are recognized as rulers over the nations lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them.

Aber so ist es bei euch nicht! Wer (Jeder, der) bei (unter) euch groß sein (werden) möchte, soll vielmehr euer Diener sein,

Mas no será así entre vosotros: antes cualquiera que quisiere hacerse grande entre vosotros, será vuestro servidor;

But so shall it not be among you: but whosoever will be great among you, shall be your minister:

But it shall not be so among you, but whoever wants to become great among you shall be your servant.

und wer (jeder, der) bei (unter) euch bedeutend (Erster) sein (werden) möchte, soll Sklave aller †anderen sein.

Y cualquiera de vosotros que quisiere hacerse el primero, será siervo de todos.

And whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all.

Whoever of you wants to become first among you shall be bondservant of all.

Denn auch der Menschensohn (Sohn des Menschen; Mensch) ist nicht gekommen, um sich dienen zu lassen, sondern um zu dienen und sein Leben als Lösegeld anstelle (für) vieler zu geben.«

Porque el Hijo del hombre tampoco vino para ser servido, mas para servir, y dar su vida en rescate por muchos.

For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

For the Son of Man also came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

Und sie kamen nach Jericho. Und als er von Jericho aufbrach, †er und seine Jünger und eine beachtliche (ansehnliche) Menschenmenge, saß der Sohn von Timäus, Bartimäus, ein blinder Bettler, am Straßenrand ,

Entonces vienen á Jericó: y saliendo él de Jericó y sus discípulos y una gran compañía, Bartimeo el ciego, hijo de Timeo, estaba sentado junto al camino mendigando.

And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimæus, the son of Timæus, sat by the highway side begging.

They came to Jericho. As he went out from Jericho with his disciples and a great multitude, the son of Timaeus, Bartimaeus, a blind beggar, was sitting by the road.

Und als er hörte, dass es Jesus der Nazarener war, fing er an zu schreien {und zu sagen}: »Sohn Davids, Jesus, hab Erbarmen mit mir!«

Y oyendo que era Jesús el Nazareno, comenzó á dar voces y decir: Jesús, Hijo de David, ten misericordia de mí.

And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me.

When he heard that it was Jesus the Nazarene, he began to cry out and say, “Jesus, you son of David, have mercy on me!”

Und viele herrschten ihn an, {damit} still zu sein. Aber er schrie umso lauter (mehr): »Sohn Davids, hab Erbarmen mit mir!«

Y muchos le reñían, que callase: mas él daba mayores voces: Hijo de David, ten misericordia de mí.

And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.

Many rebuked him, that he should be quiet, but he cried out much more, “You son of David, have mercy on me!”

Und Jesus fragte ihn : »Was willst du, dass ich für dich tue?« Da sagte der Blinde zu ihm: »Rabbuni , dass ich sehen kann!«

Y respondiendo Jesús, le dice: ¿Qué quieres que te haga? Y el ciego le dice: Maestro, que cobre la vista.

And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight.

Jesus asked him, “What do you want me to do for you?” The blind man said to him, “Rabboni, that I may see again.”

And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.
