1Und er fing an, zu ihnen durch Gleichnisse zu reden: Ein Mensch pflanzte einen Weinberg und führte einen Zaun darum und grub eine Kelter und baute einen Turm und tat ihn aus den Weingärtnern und zog über Land.
2Und sandte einen Knecht, da die Zeit kam, zu den Weingärtnern, daß er von den Weingärtnern nähme von der Frucht des Weinbergs.
3Sie nahmen ihn aber und stäupten ihn, und ließen ihn leer von sich.
4Abermals sandte er ihnen einen anderen Knecht; dem zerwarfen sie den Kopf mit Steinen und ließen ihn geschmäht von sich.
5Abermals sandte er einen andern: den töteten sie. Und viele andere, etliche stäupten sie, etliche töteten sie.
6Da hatte er noch einen einzigen Sohn, der war ihm lieb; den sandte er zum letzten auch zu ihnen und sprach: Sie werden sich vor meinem Sohn scheuen.
7Aber die Weingärtner sprachen untereinander: Dies ist der Erbe; kommt, laßt uns ihn töten, so wird das Erbe unser sein!
8Und sie nahmen ihn und töteten ihn und warfen ihn hinaus vor den Weinberg.
9Was wird nun der Herr des Weinbergs tun? Er wird kommen und die Weingärtner umbringen und den Weinberg andern geben.
10Habt ihr auch nicht gelesen diese Schrift: “Der Stein, den die Bauleute verworfen haben, der ist zum Eckstein geworden.
11Von dem HERRN ist das geschehen, und es ist wunderbarlich vor unseren Augen”?
12Und sie trachteten darnach, wie sie ihn griffen, und fürchteten sich doch vor dem Volk; denn sie verstanden, daß er auf sie dies Gleichnis geredet hatte. Und sie ließen ihn und gingen davon.
13Und sie sandten zu ihm etliche von den Pharisäern und des Herodes Dienern, daß sie ihn fingen in Worten.
14Und sie kamen und sprachen zu ihm: Meister, wir wissen, daß du wahrhaftig bist und fragst nach niemand; denn du achtest nicht das Ansehen der Menschen, sondern du lehrst den Weg Gottes recht. Ist's recht, daß man dem Kaiser Zins gebe, oder nicht? Sollen wir ihn geben oder nicht geben?
15Er aber merkte ihre Heuchelei und sprach zu ihnen: Was versucht ihr mich? Bringet mir einen Groschen, daß ich ihn sehe.
16Und sie brachten ihm. Da sprach er: Wes ist das Bild und die Überschrift? Sie sprachen zu ihm: Des Kaisers!
17Da antwortete Jesus und sprach zu ihnen: So gebet dem Kaiser, was des Kaisers ist, und Gott, was Gottes ist! Und sie verwunderten sich über ihn.
18Da traten die Sadduzäer zu ihm, die da halten, es sei keine Auferstehung; die fragten ihn und sprachen:
19Meister, Mose hat uns geschrieben: Wenn jemands Bruder stirbt und hinterläßt ein Weib, und hinterläßt keine Kinder, so soll sein Bruder sein Weib nehmen und seinem Bruder Samen erwecken.
20Nun sind sieben Brüder gewesen. Der erste nahm ein Weib; der starb und hinterließ keinen Samen.
21Und der andere nahm sie und starb und hinterließ auch nicht Samen. Der Dritte desgleichen.
22Und es nahmen sie alle sieben und hinterließen nicht Samen. Zuletzt nach allen starb das Weib auch.
23Nun in der Auferstehung, wenn sie auferstehen, wes Weib wird sie sein unter ihnen? Denn sieben haben sie zum Weibe gehabt.
24Da antwortete Jesus und sprach zu ihnen: Ist's nicht also? Ihr irrt darum, daß ihr nichts wisset von der Schrift noch von der Kraft Gottes.
25Wenn sie von den Toten auferstehen werden, so werden sie nicht freien noch sich freien lassen, sondern sie sind wie die Engel im Himmel.
26Aber von den Toten, daß sie auferstehen werden, habt ihr nicht gelesen im Buch Mose's bei dem Busch, wie Gott zu ihm sagte und sprach: “Ich bin der Gott Abrahams und der Gott Isaaks und der Gott Jakobs”?
27Gott aber ist nicht der Toten, sondern der Lebendigen Gott. Darum irrt ihr sehr.
28Und es trat zu ihm der Schriftgelehrten einer, der ihnen zugehört hatte, wie sie sich miteinander befragten, und sah, daß er ihnen fein geantwortet hatte, und fragte ihn: Welches ist das vornehmste Gebot vor allen?
29Jesus aber antwortete ihm: Das vornehmste Gebot vor allen Geboten ist das: “Höre Israel, der HERR, unser Gott, ist ein einiger Gott;
30und du sollst Gott, deinen HERRN, lieben von ganzem Herzen, von ganzer Seele, von ganzem Gemüte und von allen deinen Kräften.” Das ist das vornehmste Gebot.
31Und das andere ist ihm gleich: “Du sollst deinen Nächsten lieben wie dich selbst.” Es ist kein anderes Gebot größer denn diese.
32Und der Schriftgelehrte sprach zu ihm: Meister, du hast wahrlich recht geredet; denn es ist ein Gott und ist kein anderer außer ihm.
33Und ihn lieben von ganzem Herzen, von ganzem Gemüte, von ganzer Seele, und von allen Kräften, und lieben seinen Nächsten wie sich selbst, das ist mehr denn Brandopfer und alle Opfer.
34Da Jesus aber sah, daß er vernünftig antwortete, sprach er zu ihm: “Du bist nicht ferne von dem Reich Gottes.” Und es wagte ihn niemand weiter zu fragen.
35Und Jesus antwortete und sprach, da er lehrte im Tempel: Wie sagen die Schriftgelehrten, Christus sei Davids Sohn?
36Er aber, David, spricht durch den heiligen Geist: “Der HERR hat gesagt zu meinem Herrn: Setze dich zu meiner Rechten, bis daß ich lege deine Feinde zum Schemel deiner Füße.”
37Da heißt ihn ja David seinen Herrn; woher ist er denn sein Sohn? Und viel Volks hörte ihn gern.
38Und er lehrte sie und sprach zu ihnen: Sehet euch vor vor den Schriftgelehrten, die in langen Kleidern gehen und lassen sich gern auf dem Markte grüßen
39und sitzen gern obenan in den Schulen und über Tisch beim Gastmahl;
40sie fressen der Witwen Häuser und wenden langes Gebet vor. Diese werden desto mehr Verdammnis empfangen.
41Und Jesus setzte sich gegen den Gotteskasten und schaute, wie das Volk Geld einlegte in den Gotteskasten; und viele Reiche legten viel ein.
42Und es kam eine arme Witwe und legte zwei Scherflein ein; die machen einen Heller.
43Und er rief seine Jünger zu sich und sprach zu ihnen: Diese arme Witwe hat mehr in den Gotteskasten gelegt denn alle, die eingelegt haben.
44Denn sie haben alle von ihrem Überfluß eingelegt; diese aber hat von ihrer Armut alles, was sie hatte, ihre ganze Nahrung, eingelegt.

1Y COMENZÓ á hablarles por parábolas: Plantó un hombre una viña, y la cercó con seto, y cavó un lagar, y edificó una torre, y la arrendó á labradores, y se partió lejos.
2Y envió un siervo á los labradores, al tiempo, para que tomase de los labradores del fruto de la viña.
3Mas ellos, tomándole, le hirieron, y le enviaron vacío.
4Y volvió á enviarles otro siervo; mas apedreándole, le hirieron en la cabeza, y volvieron á enviarle afrentado.
5Y volvió á enviar otro, y á aquél mataron; y á otros muchos, hiriendo á unos y matando á otros.
6Teniendo pues aún un hijo suyo amado, enviólo también á ellos el postrero, diciendo: Tendrán en reverencia á mi hijo.
7Mas aquellos labradores dijeron entre sí: Este es el heredero; venid, matémosle, y la heredad será nuestra.
8Y prendiéndole, le mataron, y echaron fuera de la viña.
9¿Qué, pues, hará el señor de la viña? Vendrá, y destruirá á estos labradores, y dará su viña á otros.
10¿Ni aun esta Escritura habéis leído: La piedra que desecharon los que edificaban, ésta es puesta por cabeza de esquina;
11Por el Señor es hecho esto, y es cosa maravillosa en nuestros ojos?
12Y procuraban prenderle, porque entendían que decía á ellos aquella parábola; mas temían á la multitud; y dejándole, se fueron.
13Y envían á él algunos de los Fariseos y de los Herodianos, para que le sorprendiesen en alguna palabra.
14Y viniendo ellos, le dicen: Maestro, sabemos que eres hombre de verdad, y que no te cuidas de nadie; porque no miras á la apariencia de hombres, antes con verdad enseñas el camino de Dios: ¿Es lícito dar tributo á César, ó no? ¿Daremos, ó no daremos?
15Entonces él, como entendía la hipocresía de ellos, les dijo: ¿Por qué me tentáis? Traedme la moneda para que la vea.
16Y ellos se la trajeron y les dice: ¿Cúya es esta imagen y esta inscripción? Y ellos le dijeron: De César.
17Y respondiendo Jesús, les dijo: Dad lo que es de César á César; y lo que es de Dios, á Dios. Y se maravillaron de ello.
18Entonces vienen á él los Saduceos, que dicen que no hay resurrección, y le preguntaron, diciendo:
19Maestro, Moisés nos escribió, que si el hermano de alguno muriese, y dejase mujer, y no dejase hijos, que su hermano tome su mujer, y levante linaje á su hermano.
20Fueron siete hermanos: y el primero tomó mujer, y muriendo, no dejó simiente;
21Y la tomó el segundo, y murió, y ni aquél tampoco dejó simiente; y el tercero, de la misma manera.
22Y la tomaron los siete, y tampoco dejaron simiente: á la postre murió también la mujer.
23En la resurrección, pues, cuando resucitaren, ¿de cuál de ellos será mujer? porque los siete la tuvieron por mujer.
24Entonces respondiendo Jesús, les dice: ¿No erráis por eso, porque no sabéis las Escrituras, ni la potencia de Dios?
25Porque cuando resucitarán de los muertos, ni se casarán, ni serán dados en casamiento, mas son como los ángeles que están en los cielos.
26Y de que los muertos hayan de resucitar, ¿no habéis leído en el libro de Moisés cómo le habló Dios en la zarza, diciendo: Yo soy el Dios de Abraham, y el Dios de Isaac, y el Dios de Jacob?
27No es Dios de muertos, mas Dios de vivos; así que vosotros mucho erráis.
28Y llegándose uno de los escribas, que los había oído disputar, y sabía que les había respondido bien, le preguntó: ¿Cuál es el primer mandamiento de todos?
29Y Jesús le respondió: El primer mandamiento de todos es: Oye, Israel, el Señor nuestro Dios, el Señor uno es.
30Amarás pues al Señor tu Dios de todo tu corazón, y de toda tu alma, y de toda tu mente, y de todas tus fuerzas; este es el principal mandamiento.
31Y el segundo es semejante á él: Amarás á tu prójimo como á ti mismo. No hay otro mandamiento mayor que éstos.
32Entonces el escriba le dijo: Bien, Maestro, verdad has dicho, que uno es Dios, y no hay otro fuera de él;
33Y que amarle de todo corazón, y de todo entendimiento, y de toda el alma, y de todas las fuerzas, y amar al prójimo como á sí mismo, más es que todos los holocaustos y sacrificios.
34Jesús entonces, viendo que había respondido sabiamente, le dice: No estás lejos del reino de Dios. Y ya ninguno osaba preguntarle.
35Y respondiendo Jesús decía, enseñando en el templo: ¿Cómo dicen los escribas que el Cristo es hijo de David?
36Porque el mismo David dijo por el Espíritu Santo: Dijo el Señor á mi Señor: Siéntate á mi diestra, hasta que ponga tus enemigos por estrado de tus pies.
37Luego llamándole el mismo David Señor, ¿de dónde, pues, es su hijo? Y los que eran del común del pueblo le oían de buena gana.
38Y les decía en su doctrina: Guardaos de los escribas, que quieren andar con ropas largas, y aman las salutaciones en las plazas,
39Y las primeras sillas en las sinagogas, y los primeros asientos en las cenas;
40Que devoran las casas de las viudas, y por pretexto hacen largas oraciones. Estos recibirán mayor juicio.
41Y estando sentado Jesús delante del arca de la ofrenda, miraba cómo el pueblo echaba dinero en el arca: y muchos ricos echaban mucho.
42Y como vino una viuda pobre, echó dos blancas, que son un maravedí.
43Entonces llamando á sus discípulos, les dice: De cierto os digo que esta viuda pobre echó más que todos los que han echado en el arca:
44Porque todos han echado de lo que les sobra; mas ésta, de su pobreza echó todo lo que tenía, todo su alimento.

1And he began to speak unto them by parables. A certain man planted a vineyard, and set an hedge about it, and digged a place for the winefat, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country.
2And at the season he sent to the husbandmen a servant, that he might receive from the husbandmen of the fruit of the vineyard.
3And they caught him, and beat him, and sent him away empty.
4And again he sent unto them another servant; and at him they cast stones, and wounded him in the head, and sent him away shamefully handled.
5And again he sent another; and him they killed, and many others; beating some, and killing some.
6Having yet therefore one son, his wellbeloved, he sent him also last unto them, saying, They will reverence my son.
7But those husbandmen said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and the inheritance shall be ours.
8And they took him, and killed him, and cast him out of the vineyard.
9What shall therefore the lord of the vineyard do? he will come and destroy the husbandmen, and will give the vineyard unto others.
10And have ye not read this scripture; The stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner:
11This was the Lord’s doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?
12And they sought to lay hold on him, but feared the people: for they knew that he had spoken the parable against them: and they left him, and went their way.
13And they send unto him certain of the Pharisees and of the Herodians, to catch him in his words.
14And when they were come, they say unto him, Master, we know that thou art true, and carest for no man: for thou regardest not the person of men, but teachest the way of God in truth: Is it lawful to give tribute to Cæsar, or not?
15Shall we give, or shall we not give? But he, knowing their hypocrisy, said unto them, Why tempt ye me? bring me a penny, that I may see it.
16And they brought it. And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription? And they said unto him, Cæsar’s.
17And Jesus answering said unto them, Render to Cæsar the things that are Cæsar’s, and to God the things that are God’s. And they marvelled at him.
18Then come unto him the Sadducees, which say there is no resurrection; and they asked him, saying,
19Master, Moses wrote unto us, If a man’s brother die, and leave his wife behind him, and leave no children, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.
20Now there were seven brethren: and the first took a wife, and dying left no seed.
21And the second took her, and died, neither left he any seed: and the third likewise.
22And the seven had her, and left no seed: last of all the woman died also.
23In the resurrection therefore, when they shall rise, whose wife shall she be of them? for the seven had her to wife.
24And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?
25For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven.
26And as touching the dead, that they rise: have ye not read in the book of Moses, how in the bush God spake unto him, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?
27He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living: ye therefore do greatly err.
28And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all?
29And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
30And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
31And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
32And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he:
33And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.
34And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him, Thou art not far from the kingdom of God. And no man after that durst ask him any question.
35And Jesus answered and said, while he taught in the temple, How say the scribes that Christ is the Son of David?
36For David himself said by the Holy Ghost, The LORD said to my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool.
37David therefore himself calleth him Lord; and whence is he then his son? And the common people heard him gladly.
38And he said unto them in his doctrine, Beware of the scribes, which love to go in long clothing, and love salutations in the marketplaces,
39And the chief seats in the synagogues, and the uppermost rooms at feasts:
40Which devour widows’ houses, and for a pretence make long prayers: these shall receive greater damnation.
41And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much.
42And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing.
43And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury:
44For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living.

1He began to speak to them in parables. “A man planted a vineyard, put a hedge around it, dug a pit for the wine press, built a tower, rented it out to a farmer, and went into another country.
2When it was time, he sent a servant to the farmer to get from the farmer his share of the fruit of the vineyard.
3They took him, beat him, and sent him away empty.
4Again, he sent another servant to them; and they threw stones at him, wounded him in the head, and sent him away shamefully treated.
5Again he sent another, and they killed him, and many others, beating some, and killing some.
6Therefore still having one, his beloved son, he sent him last to them, saying, ‘They will respect my son.’
7But those farmers said among themselves, ‘This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.’
8They took him, killed him, and cast him out of the vineyard.
9What therefore will the lord of the vineyard do? He will come and destroy the farmers, and will give the vineyard to others.
10Haven’t you even read this Scripture: ‘The stone which the builders rejected was made the head of the corner.
11This was from the Lord. It is marvelous in our eyes’?”
12They tried to seize him, but they feared the multitude; for they perceived that he spoke the parable against them. They left him and went away.
13They sent some of the Pharisees and the Herodians to him, that they might trap him with words.
14When they had come, they asked him, “Teacher, we know that you are honest, and don’t defer to anyone; for you aren’t partial to anyone, but truly teach the way of God. Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?
15Shall we give, or shall we not give?” But he, knowing their hypocrisy, said to them, “Why do you test me? Bring me a denarius, that I may see it.”
16They brought it. He said to them, “Whose is this image and inscription?” They said to him, “Caesar’s.”
17Jesus answered them, “Give to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.” They marveled greatly at him.
18Some Sadducees, who say that there is no resurrection, came to him. They asked him, saying,
19“Teacher, Moses wrote to us, ‘If a man’s brother dies and leaves a wife behind him, and leaves no children, that his brother should take his wife and raise up offspring for his brother.’
20There were seven brothers. The first took a wife, and dying left no offspring.
21The second took her, and died, leaving no children behind him. The third likewise;
22and the seven took her and left no children. Last of all the woman also died.
23In the resurrection, when they rise, whose wife will she be of them? For the seven had her as a wife.”
24Jesus answered them, “Isn’t this because you are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures nor the power of God?
25For when they will rise from the dead, they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven.
26But about the dead, that they are raised, haven’t you read in the book of Moses about the Bush, how God spoke to him, saying, ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’?
27He is not the God of the dead, but of the living. You are therefore badly mistaken.”
28One of the scribes came and heard them questioning together, and knowing that he had answered them well, asked him, “Which commandment is the greatest of all?”
29Jesus answered, “The greatest is: ‘Hear, Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one.
30You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment.
31The second is like this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”
32The scribe said to him, “Truly, teacher, you have said well that he is one, and there is none other but he;
33and to love him with all the heart, with all the understanding, all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbor as himself, is more important than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.”
34When Jesus saw that he answered wisely, he said to him, “You are not far from God’s Kingdom.” No one dared ask him any question after that.
35Jesus responded, as he taught in the temple, “How is it that the scribes say that the Christ is the son of David?
36For David himself said in the Holy Spirit, ‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies the footstool of your feet.”’
37Therefore David himself calls him Lord, so how can he be his son?” The common people heard him gladly.
38In his teaching he said to them, “Beware of the scribes, who like to walk in long robes, and to get greetings in the marketplaces,
39and to get the best seats in the synagogues and the best places at feasts,
40those who devour widows’ houses, and for a pretense make long prayers. These will receive greater condemnation.”
41Jesus sat down opposite the treasury and saw how the multitude cast money into the treasury. Many who were rich cast in much.
42A poor widow came and she cast in two small brass coins, which equal a quadrans coin.
43He called his disciples to himself and said to them, “Most certainly I tell you, this poor widow gave more than all those who are giving into the treasury,
44for they all gave out of their abundance, but she, out of her poverty, gave all that she had to live on.”
