Er aber sprach über die Maßen †mehr: Wenn ich mit dir sterben müsste, werde ich dich nicht verleugnen. Desgleichen aber sprachen auch alle.

Mas él con mayor porfía decía: Si me fuere menester morir contigo, no te negaré. También todos decían lo mismo.

But he spake the more vehemently, If I should die with thee, I will not deny thee in any wise. Likewise also said they all.

But he spoke all the more, “If I must die with you, I will not deny you.” They all said the same thing.
