72O galo cantou a segunda vez. E Pedro se lembrou da palavra que Jesus havia lhe dito: “Antes que o galo cante duas vezes, tu me negarás três vezes.” Então ele retirou-se dali e chorou.

72And the second time the cock crew. And Peter called to mind the word that Jesus said unto him, Before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice. And when he thought thereon, he wept.

72The rooster crowed the second time. Peter remembered the words that Jesus said to him, “Before the rooster crows twice, you will deny me three times.” When he thought about that, he wept.
