Or, deux jours après, c’était la Pâque et les Pains sans levain. Et les principaux sacrificateurs et les scribes cherchaient comment ils pourraient se saisir de lui par ruse, et le faire mourir ;

Y DOS días después era la Pascua y los días de los panes sin levadura: y procuraban los príncipes de los sacerdotes y los escribas cómo le prenderían por engaño, y le matarían.

After two days was the feast of the passover, and of unleavened bread: and the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might take him by craft, and put him to death.

It was now two days before the Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread, and the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might seize him by deception and kill him.

car ils disaient : Non pas pendant la fête, de peur qu’il n’y ait du tumulte parmi le peuple.

Y decían: No en el día de la fiesta, porque no se haga alboroto del pueblo.

But they said, Not on the feast day, lest there be an uproar of the people.

For they said, “Not during the feast, because there might be a riot among the people.”

Et comme il était à Béthanie dans la maison de Simon le lépreux, et qu’il était à table, une femme vint, ayant un vase d’albâtre †plein d’un parfum de nard pur et de grand prix ; et, ayant brisé le vase, elle le répandit sur sa tête.

Y estando él en Bethania en casa de Simón el leproso, y sentado á la mesa, vino una mujer teniendo un alabastro de ungüento de nardo espique de mucho precio; y quebrando el alabastro, derramóselo sobre su cabeza.

And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on his head.

While he was at Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at the table, a woman came having an alabaster jar of ointment of pure nard—very costly. She broke the jar and poured it over his head.

Et quelques-uns étaient †là, qui s’indignaient en eux-mêmes et disaient : À quoi bon la perte de ce parfum ?

Y hubo algunos que se enojaron dentro de sí, y dijeron: ¿Para qué se ha hecho este desperdicio de ungüento?

And there were some that had indignation within themselves, and said, Why was this waste of the ointment made?

But there were some who were indignant among themselves, saying, “Why has this ointment been wasted?

Car ce parfum aurait pu être vendu plus de 300 deniers, et être donné aux pauvres ; et ils la reprenaient vivement.

Porque podía esto ser vendido por más de trescientos denarios, y darse á los pobres. Y murmuraban contra ella.

For it might have been sold for more than three hundred pence, and have been given to the poor. And they murmured against her.

For this might have been sold for more than three hundred denarii and given to the poor.” So they grumbled against her.

Mais Jésus dit : Laissez-la ; pourquoi lui donnez-vous du déplaisir ? Elle a fait une bonne œuvre envers moi ;

Mas Jesús dijo: Dejadla; ¿por qué la fatigáis? buena obra me ha hecho;

And Jesus said, Let her alone; why trouble ye her? she hath wrought a good work on me.

But Jesus said, “Leave her alone. Why do you trouble her? She has done a good work for me.

car vous avez toujours les pauvres avec vous, et quand vous voudrez, vous pourrez leur faire du bien ; mais moi, vous ne m’avez pas toujours.

Que siempre tendréis los pobres con vosotros, y cuando quisiereis les podréis hacer bien; mas á mí no siempre me tendréis.

For ye have the poor with you always, and whensoever ye will ye may do them good: but me ye have not always.

For you always have the poor with you, and whenever you want to, you can do them good; but you will not always have me.

Ce qui était en son pouvoir, elle l’a fait ; elle a anticipé †le moment d’oindre mon corps pour ma sépulture.

Esta ha hecho lo que podía; porque se ha anticipado á ungir mi cuerpo para la sepultura.

She hath done what she could: she is come aforehand to anoint my body to the burying.

She has done what she could. She has anointed my body beforehand for the burying.

Et en vérité, je vous dis : en quelque lieu que cet évangile soit prêché dans le monde entier, on parlera aussi de ce que cette femme a fait, en mémoire d’elle.

De cierto os digo que donde quiera que fuere predicado este evangelio en todo el mundo, también esto que ha hecho ésta, será dicho para memoria de ella.

Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, this also that she hath done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her.

Most certainly I tell you, wherever this Good News may be preached throughout the whole world, that which this woman has done will also be spoken of for a memorial of her.”

Et Judas Iscariote, l’un des douze, s’en alla vers les principaux sacrificateurs pour le leur livrer ;

Entonces Judas Iscariote, uno de los doce, vino á los príncipes de los sacerdotes, para entregársele.

And Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, went unto the chief priests, to betray him unto them.

et ceux-ci, l’ayant entendu, s’en réjouirent et promirent de lui donner de l’argent ; et il cherchait comment il le livrerait commodément.

Y ellos oyéndolo se holgaron, y prometieron que le darían dineros. Y buscaba oportunidad cómo le entregaría.

And when they heard it, they were glad, and promised to give him money. And he sought how he might conveniently betray him.

Et le premier jour des pains sans levain, lorsqu’on sacrifiait la pâque, ses disciples lui disent : Où veux-tu que nous allions préparer †ce qu’il faut, afin que tu manges la pâque ?

Y el primer día de los panes sin levadura, cuando sacrificaban la pascua, sus discípulos le dicen: ¿Dónde quieres que vayamos á disponer para que comas la pascua?

And the first day of unleavened bread, when they killed the passover, his disciples said unto him, Where wilt thou that we go and prepare that thou mayest eat the passover?

Et il envoie deux de ses disciples et leur dit : Allez à la ville ; et un homme portant une cruche d’eau viendra à votre rencontre ; suivez-le.

Y envía dos de sus discípulos, y les dice: Id á la ciudad, y os encontrará un hombre que lleva un cántaro de agua; seguidle;

And he sendeth forth two of his disciples, and saith unto them, Go ye into the city, and there shall meet you a man bearing a pitcher of water: follow him.

He sent two of his disciples and said to them, “Go into the city, and there a man carrying a pitcher of water will meet you. Follow him,

Et où qu’il entre, dites au maître de la maison : Le maître dit : Où est mon logis où je mangerai la pâque avec mes disciples ?

Y donde entrare, decid al señor de la casa: El Maestro dice: ¿Dónde está el aposento donde he de comer la pascua con mis discípulos?

And wheresoever he shall go in, say ye to the goodman of the house, The Master saith, Where is the guestchamber, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples?

and wherever he enters in, tell the master of the house, ‘The Teacher says, “Where is the guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?”’

Et lui vous montrera une grande chambre garnie, toute prête ; apprêtez-nous là †ce qu’il faut.

Y él os mostrará un gran cenáculo ya preparado: aderezad para nosotros allí.

And he will shew you a large upper room furnished and prepared: there make ready for us.

He will himself show you a large upper room furnished and ready. Get ready for us there.”

Et ses disciples s’en allèrent et entrèrent dans la ville, et trouvèrent †tout comme il leur avait dit ; et ils apprêtèrent la pâque.

Y fueron sus discípulos, y vinieron á la ciudad, y hallaron como les había dicho; y aderezaron la pascua.

And his disciples went forth, and came into the city, and found as he had said unto them: and they made ready the passover.

Et le soir étant venu, il vient avec les douze.

Et comme ils étaient à table et qu’ils mangeaient, Jésus dit : En vérité, je vous dis que l’un d’entre vous qui mange avec moi, me livrera.

Y como se sentaron á la mesa y comiesen, dice Jesús: De cierto os digo que uno de vosotros, que come conmigo, me ha de entregar.

And as they sat and did eat, Jesus said, Verily I say unto you, One of you which eateth with me shall betray me.

As they sat and were eating, Jesus said, “Most certainly I tell you, one of you will betray me—he who eats with me.”

Et ils commencèrent à s’attrister et à lui dire l’un après l’autre : Est-ce moi ? Et un autre : Est-ce moi ?

Entonces ellos comenzaron á entristecerse, y á decirle cada uno por sí: ¿Seré yo? Y el otro: ¿Seré yo?

And they began to be sorrowful, and to say unto him one by one, Is it I? and another said, Is it I?

They began to be sorrowful, and to ask him one by one, “Surely not I?” And another said, “Surely not I?”

Mais répondant, il leur dit : C’est l’un d’entre les douze qui trempe avec moi au plat.

Y él respondiendo les dijo: Es uno de los doce que moja conmigo en el plato.

And he answered and said unto them, It is one of the twelve, that dippeth with me in the dish.

He answered them, “It is one of the twelve, he who dips with me in the dish.

Le fils de l’homme s’en va, selon qu’il est écrit de lui ; mais malheur à cet homme par qui le fils de l’homme est livré ! Il aurait été bon pour cet homme-là qu’il ne soit pas né.

A la verdad el Hijo del hombre va, como está de él escrito; mas ¡ay de aquel hombre por quien el Hijo del hombre es entregado! bueno le fuera á aquel hombre si nunca hubiera nacido.

The Son of man indeed goeth, as it is written of him: but woe to that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! good were it for that man if he had never been born.

For the Son of Man goes as it is written about him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would be better for that man if he had not been born.”

Et comme ils mangeaient, Jésus, ayant pris un pain †et ayant béni, le rompit et le leur donna, et dit : Prenez ; ceci est mon corps.

Y estando ellos comiendo, tomó Jesús pan, y bendiciendo, partió y les dió, y dijo: Tomad, esto es mi cuerpo.

And as they did eat, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and brake it, and gave to them, and said, Take, eat: this is my body.

As they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had blessed it, he broke it and gave to them, and said, “Take, eat. This is my body.”

Et ayant pris la coupe †et ayant rendu grâces, il la leur donna ; et ils en burent tous.

And he took the cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them: and they all drank of it.

Et il leur dit : Ceci est mon sang, le †sang de la nouvelle alliance, qui est versé pour plusieurs.

And he said unto them, This is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many.

He said to them, “This is my blood of the new covenant, which is poured out for many.

En vérité, je vous dis que je ne boirai plus du fruit de la vigne, jusqu’à ce jour où je le boirai nouveau dans le royaume de Dieu.

De cierto os digo que no beberé más del fruto de la vid, hasta aquel día cuando lo beberé nuevo en el reino de Dios.

Verily I say unto you, I will drink no more of the fruit of the vine, until that day that I drink it new in the kingdom of God.

Most certainly I tell you, I will no more drink of the fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it anew in God’s Kingdom.”

Et ayant chanté une hymne, ils sortirent †et s’en allèrent à la montagne des Oliviers.

And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.

Et Jésus leur dit : Vous serez tous scandalisés ; car il est écrit : « Je frapperai le berger, et les brebis seront dispersées » ;

Jesús entonces les dice: Todos seréis escandalizados en mí esta noche; porque escrito está: Heriré al pastor, y serán derramadas las ovejas.

And Jesus saith unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered.

Jesus said to them, “All of you will be made to stumble because of me tonight, for it is written, ‘I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered.’

mais après que je serai ressuscité, j’irai devant vous en Galilée.

Mas después que haya resucitado, iré delante de vosotros á Galilea.

But after that I am risen, I will go before you into Galilee.

However, after I am raised up, I will go before you into Galilee.”

Et Pierre lui dit : Si même tous étaient scandalisés, je ne le serai pourtant pas, moi.

Entonces Pedro le dijo: Aunque todos sean escandalizados, mas no yo.

But Peter said unto him, Although all shall be offended, yet will not I.

But Peter said to him, “Although all will be offended, yet I will not.”

Et Jésus lui dit : En vérité, je te dis qu’aujourd’hui, cette nuit-ci, avant que le coq ait chanté deux fois, toi, tu me renieras trois fois.

Y le dice Jesús: De cierto te digo que tú, hoy, en esta noche, antes que el gallo haya cantado dos veces, me negarás tres veces.

And Jesus saith unto him, Verily I say unto thee, That this day, even in this night, before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice.

Jesus said to him, “Most certainly I tell you that you today, even this night, before the rooster crows twice, you will deny me three times.”

Mais †Pierre disait encore plus fortement : Quand il me faudrait mourir avec toi, je ne te renierai point. Et ils dirent tous aussi la même chose.

Mas él con mayor porfía decía: Si me fuere menester morir contigo, no te negaré. También todos decían lo mismo.

But he spake the more vehemently, If I should die with thee, I will not deny thee in any wise. Likewise also said they all.

But he spoke all the more, “If I must die with you, I will not deny you.” They all said the same thing.

Et ils viennent en un lieu dont le nom était Gethsémané. Et il dit à ses disciples : Asseyez-vous ici, jusqu’à ce que j’aie prié.

Y vienen al lugar que se llama Gethsemaní, y dice á sus discípulos: Sentaos aquí, entre tanto que yo oro.

And they came to a place which was named Gethsemane: and he saith to his disciples, Sit ye here, while I shall pray.

Et il prend avec lui Pierre et Jacques et Jean ; et il commença à être saisi d’effroi et fort angoissé.

And he taketh with him Peter and James and John, and began to be sore amazed, and to be very heavy;

He took with him Peter, James, and John, and began to be greatly troubled and distressed.

Et il leur dit : Mon âme est saisie de tristesse jusqu’à la mort ; demeurez ici et veillez.

Y les dice: Está muy triste mi alma, hasta la muerte: esperad aquí y velad.

And saith unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful unto death: tarry ye here, and watch.

He said to them, “My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch.”

Et s’en allant un peu plus avant, il se jeta contre terre, et il priait que, s’il était possible, l’heure passe loin de lui.

Y yéndose un poco adelante, se postró en tierra, y oró que si fuese posible, pasase de él aquella hora.

And he went forward a little, and fell on the ground, and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from him.

And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.

He said, “Abba, Father, all things are possible to you. Please remove this cup from me. However, not what I desire, but what you desire.”

Et il vient, et les trouve dormant ; et il dit à Pierre : Simon, tu dors ? Tu n’as pu veiller une heure ?

Y vino y los halló durmiendo; y dice á Pedro: ¿Simón, duermes? ¿No has podido velar una hora?

And he cometh, and findeth them sleeping, and saith unto Peter, Simon, sleepest thou? couldest not thou watch one hour?

He came and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, “Simon, are you sleeping? Couldn’t you watch one hour?

Veillez et priez, afin que vous n’entriez pas en tentation ; l’esprit est prompt, mais la chair est faible.

Velad y orad, para que no entréis en tentación: el espíritu á la verdad es presto, mas la carne enferma.

Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.

Watch and pray, that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

Et il s’en alla de nouveau, et il pria, disant les mêmes paroles.

Y volviéndose á ir, oró, y dijo las mismas palabras.

And again he went away, and prayed, and spake the same words.

Et s’en étant retourné, il les trouva de nouveau dormant (car leurs yeux étaient appesantis) ; et ils ne savaient que lui répondre.

Y vuelto, los halló otra vez durmiendo, porque los ojos de ellos estaban cargados; y no sabían qué responderle.

And when he returned, he found them asleep again, (for their eyes were heavy,) neither wist they what to answer him.

Again he returned and found them sleeping, for their eyes were very heavy; and they didn’t know what to answer him.

Et il vient pour la troisième fois et leur dit : Dormez dorénavant et reposez-vous ; il suffit, l’heure est venue ; voici, le fils de l’homme est livré entre les mains des pécheurs.

Y vino la tercera vez, y les dice: Dormid ya y descansad: basta, la hora es venida; he aquí, el Hijo del hombre es entregado en manos de los pecadores.

And he cometh the third time, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: it is enough, the hour is come; behold, the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.

Levez-vous, allons ; voici, celui qui me livre s’est approché.

Rise up, let us go; lo, he that betrayeth me is at hand.

Arise! Let’s get going. Behold, he who betrays me is at hand.”

Et aussitôt, comme il parlait encore, Judas, l’un des douze, se trouve là, et avec lui une grande foule avec des épées et des bâtons, de la part des principaux sacrificateurs et des scribes et des anciens.

Y luego, aun hablando él, vino Judas, que era uno de los doce, y con él una compañía con espadas y palos, de parte de los príncipes de los sacerdotes, y de los escribas y de los ancianos.

And immediately, while he yet spake, cometh Judas, one of the twelve, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and the scribes and the elders.

Immediately, while he was still speaking, Judas, one of the twelve, came—and with him a multitude with swords and clubs, from the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders.

Et celui qui le livrait leur avait donné un signe, disant : Celui que j’embrasserai, c’est lui ; saisissez-le, et emmenez-le sûrement.

Y el que le entregaba les había dado señal común, diciendo: Al que yo besare, aquél es: prendedle, y llevadle con seguridad.

And he that betrayed him had given them a token, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he; take him, and lead him away safely.

Now he who betrayed him had given them a sign, saying, “Whomever I will kiss, that is he. Seize him, and lead him away safely.”

Et quand il fut venu, aussitôt s’approchant de lui, il dit : Rabbi, Rabbi ! et il l’embrassa avec empressement.

Y como vino, se acercó luego á él, y le dice: Maestro, Maestro. Y le besó.

And as soon as he was come, he goeth straightway to him, and saith, Master, master; and kissed him.

When he had come, immediately he came to him and said, “Rabbi! Rabbi!” and kissed him.

Et ils mirent les mains sur lui et se saisirent de lui.

Entonces ellos echaron en él sus manos, y le prendieron.

And they laid their hands on him, and took him.

They laid their hands on him and seized him.

Et l’un de ceux qui étaient là présents, ayant tiré l’épée, frappa l’esclave du souverain sacrificateur, et lui emporta l’oreille.

Y uno de los que estaban allí, sacando la espada, hirió al siervo del sumo sacerdote, y le cortó la oreja.

And one of them that stood by drew a sword, and smote a servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear.

But a certain one of those who stood by drew his sword and struck the servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear.

Et Jésus, répondant, leur dit : Êtes-vous sortis comme après un brigand, avec des épées et des bâtons, pour me prendre ?

Y respondiendo Jesús, les dijo: ¿Como á ladrón habéis salido con espadas y con palos á tomarme?

And Jesus answered and said unto them, Are ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and with staves to take me?

Jesus answered them, “Have you come out, as against a robber, with swords and clubs to seize me?

J’étais tous les jours avec vous, enseignant dans le temple, et vous ne vous êtes pas saisis de moi ; mais c’est afin que les écritures soient accomplies.

Cada día estaba con vosotros enseñando en el templo, y no me tomasteis; pero es así, para que se cumplan las Escrituras.

I was daily with you in the temple teaching, and ye took me not: but the scriptures must be fulfilled.

Et tous le laissèrent et s’enfuirent.

Entonces dejándole todos sus discípulos, huyeron.

Et un certain jeune homme le suivit, enveloppé d’une toile de fin lin sur le corps nu ; et ils le saisissent ;

Empero un mancebillo le seguía cubierto de una sábana sobre el cuerpo desnudo; y los mancebos le prendieron:

And there followed him a certain young man, having a linen cloth cast about his naked body; and the young men laid hold on him:

A certain young man followed him, having a linen cloth thrown around himself over his naked body. The young men grabbed him,

et, abandonnant la toile de fin lin, il leur échappa tout nu.

Et ils amenèrent Jésus au souverain sacrificateur ; et tous les principaux sacrificateurs et les anciens et les scribes s’assemblent auprès de lui.

And they led Jesus away to the high priest: and with him were assembled all the chief priests and the elders and the scribes.

They led Jesus away to the high priest. All the chief priests, the elders, and the scribes came together with him.

Et Pierre le suivit de loin, jusque dans l’intérieur du palais du souverain sacrificateur, et il s’assit avec les huissiers, et se chauffait près du feu.

Empero Pedro le siguió de lejos hasta dentro del patio del sumo sacerdote; y estaba sentado con los servidores, y calentándose al fuego.

And Peter followed him afar off, even into the palace of the high priest: and he sat with the servants, and warmed himself at the fire.

Peter had followed him from a distance, until he came into the court of the high priest. He was sitting with the officers, and warming himself in the light of the fire.

Or les principaux sacrificateurs et tout le sanhédrin cherchaient †quelque témoignage contre Jésus, pour le faire mourir ; et ils n’en trouvaient point.

Y los príncipes de los sacerdotes y todo el concilio buscaban testimonio contra Jesús, para entregarle á la muerte; mas no lo hallaban.

And the chief priests and all the council sought for witness against Jesus to put him to death; and found none.

Car plusieurs portaient de faux témoignages contre lui ; et les témoignages ne s’accordaient pas.

Porque muchos decían falso testimonio contra él; mas sus testimonios no concertaban.

For many bare false witness against him, but their witness agreed not together.

For many gave false testimony against him, and their testimony didn’t agree with each other.

Et quelques-uns s’élevèrent et portèrent un faux témoignage contre lui, disant :

Entonces levantándose unos, dieron falso testimonio contra él, diciendo:

And there arose certain, and bare false witness against him, saying,

Some stood up and gave false testimony against him, saying,

Nous l’avons entendu disant : Moi, je détruirai ce temple qui est fait de main, et en trois jours j’en bâtirai un autre qui ne sera pas fait de main.

Nosotros le hemos oído decir: Yo derribaré este templo que es hecho de mano, y en tres días edificaré otro echo sin mano.

We heard him say, I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands.

“We heard him say, ‘I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and in three days I will build another made without hands.’”

Et ainsi non plus leur témoignage ne s’accordait pas.

Mas ni aun así se concertaba el testimonio de ellos.

But neither so did their witness agree together.

Even so, their testimony didn’t agree.

Et le souverain sacrificateur, se levant devant tous, interrogea Jésus, disant : Ne réponds-tu rien ? De quoi ceux-ci témoignent-ils contre toi ?

Entonces el sumo sacerdote, levantándose en medio, preguntó á Jesús, diciendo: ¿No respondes algo? ¿Qué atestiguan éstos contra ti?

And the high priest stood up in the midst, and asked Jesus, saying, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee?

The high priest stood up in the middle, and asked Jesus, “Have you no answer? What is it which these testify against you?”

Et il garda le silence, et ne répondit rien. Le souverain sacrificateur l’interrogea encore, et lui dit : Toi, tu es le Christ, le Fils du Béni ?

Mas él callaba, y nada respondía. El sumo sacerdote le volvió á preguntar, y le dice: ¿Eres tú el Cristo, el Hijo del Bendito?

But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?

But he stayed quiet, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, “Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?”

Et Jésus dit : Je le suis ; et vous verrez le fils de l’homme assis à la droite de la puissance, et venant avec les nuées du ciel.

Y Jesús le dijo: Yo soy; y veréis al Hijo del hombre sentado á la diestra de la potencia de Dios, y viniendo en las nubes del cielo.

And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.

Jesus said, “I am. You will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of Power, and coming with the clouds of the sky.”

Et le souverain sacrificateur, ayant déchiré ses vêtements, dit : Qu’avons-nous encore besoin de témoins ?

Entonces el sumo sacerdote, rasgando sus vestidos, dijo: ¿Qué más tenemos necesidad de testigos?

Then the high priest rent his clothes, and saith, What need we any further witnesses?

The high priest tore his clothes and said, “What further need have we of witnesses?

Vous avez entendu le blasphème : que vous en semble ? Et tous le condamnèrent comme méritant la mort.

Oído habéis la blasfemia: ¿qué os parece? Y ellos todos le condenaron ser culpado de muerte.

Ye have heard the blasphemy: what think ye? And they all condemned him to be guilty of death.

You have heard the blasphemy! What do you think?” They all condemned him to be worthy of death.

Et quelques-uns se mirent à cracher contre lui, et à lui couvrir le visage, et à lui donner des soufflets, et à lui dire : Prophétise. Et les huissiers le frappaient de leurs mains.

Y algunos comenzaron á escupir en él, y cubrir su rostro, y á darle bofetadas, y decirle: Profetiza. Y los servidores le herían de bofetadas.

And some began to spit on him, and to cover his face, and to buffet him, and to say unto him, Prophesy: and the servants did strike him with the palms of their hands.

Some began to spit on him, and to cover his face, and to beat him with fists, and to tell him, “Prophesy!” The officers struck him with the palms of their hands.

Et comme Pierre était en bas, dans la cour, une des servantes du souverain sacrificateur vient,

Y estando Pedro abajo en el atrio, vino una de las criadas del sumo sacerdote;

And as Peter was beneath in the palace, there cometh one of the maids of the high priest:

As Peter was in the courtyard below, one of the maids of the high priest came,

et, apercevant Pierre qui se chauffait, elle le regarda et dit : Et toi, tu étais avec le Nazarénien Jésus.

Y como vió á Pedro que se calentaba, mirándole, dice: Y tú con Jesús el Nazareno estabas.

And when she saw Peter warming himself, she looked upon him, and said, And thou also wast with Jesus of Nazareth.

and seeing Peter warming himself, she looked at him and said, “You were also with the Nazarene, Jesus!”

Et il le nia, disant : Je ne sais ni n’entends ce que tu dis. Et il sortit dehors dans le vestibule ; et le coq chanta.

Mas él negó, diciendo: No conozco, ni sé lo que dices. Y se salió fuera á la entrada; y cantó el gallo.

But he denied, saying, I know not, neither understand I what thou sayest. And he went out into the porch; and the cock crew.

But he denied it, saying, “I neither know nor understand what you are saying.” He went out on the porch, and the rooster crowed.

Et la servante, l’apercevant encore, se mit à dire à ceux qui étaient là : Celui-ci est de ces gens-là.

Y la criada viéndole otra vez, comenzó á decir á los que estaban allí: Este es de ellos.

And a maid saw him again, and began to say to them that stood by, This is one of them.

The maid saw him and began again to tell those who stood by, “This is one of them.”

Et il le nia de nouveau. Et encore un peu après, ceux qui étaient là présents dirent à Pierre : Certainement tu es de ces gens-là ; car aussi tu es Galiléen.

Mas él negó otra vez. Y poco después, los que estaban allí dijeron otra vez á Pedro: Verdaderamente tú eres de ellos; porque eres Galileo, y tu habla es semejante.

And he denied it again. And a little after, they that stood by said again to Peter, Surely thou art one of them: for thou art a Galilaean, and thy speech agreeth thereto.

But he again denied it. After a little while again those who stood by said to Peter, “You truly are one of them, for you are a Galilean, and your speech shows it.”

Et il se mit à faire des imprécations et à jurer : Je ne connais pas cet homme dont vous parlez.

Y él comenzó á maldecir y á jurar: No conozco á este hombre de quien habláis.

But he began to curse and to swear, saying, I know not this man of whom ye speak.

But he began to curse and to swear, “I don’t know this man of whom you speak!”

Et le coq chanta pour la seconde fois. Et Pierre se ressouvint de la parole que Jésus lui avait dite : Avant que le coq chante deux fois, tu me renieras trois fois. Et en y pensant, il pleura.

Y el gallo cantó la segunda vez: y Pedro se acordó de las palabras que Jesús le había dicho: Antes que el gallo cante dos veces, me negarás tres veces. Y pensando en esto, lloraba.

And the second time the cock crew. And Peter called to mind the word that Jesus said unto him, Before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice. And when he thought thereon, he wept.

The rooster crowed the second time. Peter remembered the words that Jesus said to him, “Before the rooster crows twice, you will deny me three times.” When he thought about that, he wept.
