Es stand aber in zwei Tagen das Passahfest und die (Tage der) ungesäuerten Brote bevor. Da überlegten die Hohenpriester und die Schriftgelehrten, auf welche Weise sie Jesus mit List festnehmen und töten könnten;

Y DOS días después era la Pascua y los días de los panes sin levadura: y procuraban los príncipes de los sacerdotes y los escribas cómo le prenderían por engaño, y le matarían.

After two days was the feast of the passover, and of unleavened bread: and the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might take him by craft, and put him to death.

It was now two days before the Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread, and the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might seize him by deception and kill him.

denn sie sagten: »Nur nicht während des Festes (selbst), damit keine Unruhen im Volk entstehen!«

Y decían: No en el día de la fiesta, porque no se haga alboroto del pueblo.

But they said, Not on the feast day, lest there be an uproar of the people.

For they said, “Not during the feast, because there might be a riot among the people.”

Als nun Jesus in Bethanien im Hause Simons des (einstmals) Aussätzigen war, kam, während er bei Tische saß, eine Frau, die ein Alabasterfläschchen mit echtem, kostbarem Nardensalböl hatte; sie zerbrach das Gefäß und goß es ihm über das Haupt.

Y estando él en Bethania en casa de Simón el leproso, y sentado á la mesa, vino una mujer teniendo un alabastro de ungüento de nardo espique de mucho precio; y quebrando el alabastro, derramóselo sobre su cabeza.

And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on his head.

While he was at Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at the table, a woman came having an alabaster jar of ointment of pure nard—very costly. She broke the jar and poured it over his head.

Darüber wurden einige (der Anwesenden) unwillig und sagten zueinander: »Wozu hat diese Verschwendung des Salböls stattgefunden?

Y hubo algunos que se enojaron dentro de sí, y dijeron: ¿Para qué se ha hecho este desperdicio de ungüento?

And there were some that had indignation within themselves, and said, Why was this waste of the ointment made?

But there were some who were indignant among themselves, saying, “Why has this ointment been wasted?

Dieses Salböl hätte man ja für mehr als dreihundert Denare verkaufen und (den Erlös) den Armen geben können«; und sie machten der Frau laute Vorwürfe.

Porque podía esto ser vendido por más de trescientos denarios, y darse á los pobres. Y murmuraban contra ella.

For it might have been sold for more than three hundred pence, and have been given to the poor. And they murmured against her.

For this might have been sold for more than three hundred denarii and given to the poor.” So they grumbled against her.

Da sagte Jesus: »Laßt sie in Ruhe! Warum bekümmert ihr sie? Sie hat ein gutes Werk an mir getan!

Mas Jesús dijo: Dejadla; ¿por qué la fatigáis? buena obra me ha hecho;

And Jesus said, Let her alone; why trouble ye her? she hath wrought a good work on me.

But Jesus said, “Leave her alone. Why do you trouble her? She has done a good work for me.

Denn die Armen habt ihr allezeit bei euch und könnt ihnen Gutes tun, sooft ihr wollt; mich aber habt ihr nicht allezeit.

Que siempre tendréis los pobres con vosotros, y cuando quisiereis les podréis hacer bien; mas á mí no siempre me tendréis.

For ye have the poor with you always, and whensoever ye will ye may do them good: but me ye have not always.

For you always have the poor with you, and whenever you want to, you can do them good; but you will not always have me.

Sie hat getan, was in ihren Kräften stand: sie hat meinen Leib im voraus zur Bestattung gesalbt.

Esta ha hecho lo que podía; porque se ha anticipado á ungir mi cuerpo para la sepultura.

She hath done what she could: she is come aforehand to anoint my body to the burying.

She has done what she could. She has anointed my body beforehand for the burying.

Wahrlich ich sage euch: Überall, wo die Heilsbotschaft in der ganzen Welt verkündet werden wird, da wird man auch von dem sprechen, was diese Frau getan hat, zu ihrem Gedächtnis.«

De cierto os digo que donde quiera que fuere predicado este evangelio en todo el mundo, también esto que ha hecho ésta, será dicho para memoria de ella.

Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, this also that she hath done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her.

Most certainly I tell you, wherever this Good News may be preached throughout the whole world, that which this woman has done will also be spoken of for a memorial of her.”

Da ging Judas Iskariot, der eine von den Zwölfen, zu den Hohenpriestern, um ihnen Jesus in die Hände zu liefern.

Entonces Judas Iscariote, uno de los doce, vino á los príncipes de los sacerdotes, para entregársele.

And Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, went unto the chief priests, to betray him unto them.

Als sie das hörten, freuten sie sich und versprachen, ihm Geld zu geben. Darauf suchte er nach einer guten Gelegenheit, um ihn zu überantworten.

And when they heard it, they were glad, and promised to give him money. And he sought how he might conveniently betray him.

Am ersten Tag der ungesäuerten Brote aber, an dem man das Passahlamm zu schlachten pflegte, fragten ihn seine Jünger: »Wohin sollen wir gehen, um alles vorzubereiten, damit du das Passahlamm essen kannst?«

Da sandte er zwei von seinen Jüngern ab und trug ihnen auf: »Geht in die Stadt: da wird euch ein Mann begegnen, der einen Krug mit Wasser trägt; folgt ihm nach,

And he sendeth forth two of his disciples, and saith unto them, Go ye into the city, and there shall meet you a man bearing a pitcher of water: follow him.

und wo er hineingeht, da sagt zu dem Hausherrn: ›Der Meister läßt fragen: Wo ist das Eßzimmer für mich, in dem ich das Passahlamm mit meinen Jüngern essen kann?‹

Y donde entrare, decid al señor de la casa: El Maestro dice: ¿Dónde está el aposento donde he de comer la pascua con mis discípulos?

And wheresoever he shall go in, say ye to the goodman of the house, The Master saith, Where is the guestchamber, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples?

and wherever he enters in, tell the master of the house, ‘The Teacher says, “Where is the guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?”’

Dann wird er euch ein geräumiges Obergemach zeigen, das mit Tischpolstern ausgestattet ist und schon bereit steht; dort richtet (alles) für uns zu!«

Y él os mostrará un gran cenáculo ya preparado: aderezad para nosotros allí.

And he will shew you a large upper room furnished and prepared: there make ready for us.

Da machten sich die Jünger auf den Weg, und als sie in die Stadt gekommen waren, fanden sie es dort so, wie er ihnen gesagt hatte, und richteten das Passahmahl zu.

And his disciples went forth, and came into the city, and found as he had said unto them: and they made ready the passover.

Als es dann Abend geworden war, fand er sich dort mit den Zwölfen ein;

und während sie bei Tische saßen und das Mahl einnahmen, sagte Jesus: »Wahrlich ich sage euch: Einer von euch wird mich überantworten, einer, der hier mit mir ißt.«

Y como se sentaron á la mesa y comiesen, dice Jesús: De cierto os digo que uno de vosotros, que come conmigo, me ha de entregar.

And as they sat and did eat, Jesus said, Verily I say unto you, One of you which eateth with me shall betray me.

As they sat and were eating, Jesus said, “Most certainly I tell you, one of you will betray me—he who eats with me.”

Da wurden sie betrübt und fragten ihn, einer nach dem andern: »Ich bin es doch nicht?«

Entonces ellos comenzaron á entristecerse, y á decirle cada uno por sí: ¿Seré yo? Y el otro: ¿Seré yo?

And they began to be sorrowful, and to say unto him one by one, Is it I? and another said, Is it I?

They began to be sorrowful, and to ask him one by one, “Surely not I?” And another said, “Surely not I?”

Er antwortete ihnen: »Einer von euch Zwölfen, der mit mir in die Schüssel eintaucht.

Y él respondiendo les dijo: Es uno de los doce que moja conmigo en el plato.

And he answered and said unto them, It is one of the twelve, that dippeth with me in the dish.

He answered them, “It is one of the twelve, he who dips with me in the dish.

Denn der Menschensohn geht zwar dahin, wie über ihn in der Schrift steht; doch wehe dem Menschen, durch den der Menschensohn verraten wird! Für diesen Menschen wäre es besser, er wäre nicht geboren!«

A la verdad el Hijo del hombre va, como está de él escrito; mas ¡ay de aquel hombre por quien el Hijo del hombre es entregado! bueno le fuera á aquel hombre si nunca hubiera nacido.

The Son of man indeed goeth, as it is written of him: but woe to that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! good were it for that man if he had never been born.

For the Son of Man goes as it is written about him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would be better for that man if he had not been born.”

Und während des Essens nahm Jesus ein Brot, sprach den Lobpreis (Gottes), brach (das Brot) und gab es ihnen mit den Worten: »Nehmet! Dies ist mein Leib.«

Y estando ellos comiendo, tomó Jesús pan, y bendiciendo, partió y les dió, y dijo: Tomad, esto es mi cuerpo.

And as they did eat, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and brake it, and gave to them, and said, Take, eat: this is my body.

As they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had blessed it, he broke it and gave to them, and said, “Take, eat. This is my body.”

Dann nahm er einen Becher, sprach das Dankgebet und gab ihnen den, und sie tranken alle daraus;

And he took the cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them: and they all drank of it.

Wahrlich ich sage euch: Ich werde vom Erzeugnis des Weinstocks hinfort nicht mehr trinken bis zu jenem Tage, an dem ich es neu trinke im Reiche Gottes.«

De cierto os digo que no beberé más del fruto de la vid, hasta aquel día cuando lo beberé nuevo en el reino de Dios.

Verily I say unto you, I will drink no more of the fruit of the vine, until that day that I drink it new in the kingdom of God.

Most certainly I tell you, I will no more drink of the fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it anew in God’s Kingdom.”

Nachdem sie dann den Lobpreis (Ps 115-118) gesungen hatten, gingen sie (aus der Stadt) hinaus an den Ölberg.

Dabei sagte Jesus zu ihnen: »Ihr werdet alle Anstoß nehmen; denn es steht geschrieben: ›Ich werde den Hirten niederschlagen, dann werden die Schafe sich zerstreuen.‹

And Jesus saith unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered.

Jesus said to them, “All of you will be made to stumble because of me tonight, for it is written, ‘I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered.’

Aber nach meiner Auferweckung werde ich euch nach Galiläa vorausgehen.«

Mas después que haya resucitado, iré delante de vosotros á Galilea.

But after that I am risen, I will go before you into Galilee.

However, after I am raised up, I will go before you into Galilee.”

Da antwortete Petrus: »Mögen auch alle Anstoß nehmen, so doch ich sicherlich nicht!«

Entonces Pedro le dijo: Aunque todos sean escandalizados, mas no yo.

But Peter said unto him, Although all shall be offended, yet will not I.

Jesus erwiderte ihm: »Wahrlich ich sage dir: Du wirst mich noch heute in dieser Nacht, ehe der Hahn zweimal kräht, dreimal verleugnen!«

Y le dice Jesús: De cierto te digo que tú, hoy, en esta noche, antes que el gallo haya cantado dos veces, me negarás tres veces.

And Jesus saith unto him, Verily I say unto thee, That this day, even in this night, before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice.

Jesus said to him, “Most certainly I tell you that you today, even this night, before the rooster crows twice, you will deny me three times.”

Er beteuerte aber nur um so eifriger: »Wenn ich auch mit dir sterben müßte, werde ich dich doch nicht verleugnen!« Das gleiche versicherten auch (die anderen) alle.

Mas él con mayor porfía decía: Si me fuere menester morir contigo, no te negaré. También todos decían lo mismo.

But he spake the more vehemently, If I should die with thee, I will not deny thee in any wise. Likewise also said they all.

But he spoke all the more, “If I must die with you, I will not deny you.” They all said the same thing.

Sie kamen dann an einen Ort mit Namen Gethsemane; dort sagte er zu seinen Jüngern: »Laßt euch hier nieder, bis ich gebetet habe!«

Y vienen al lugar que se llama Gethsemaní, y dice á sus discípulos: Sentaos aquí, entre tanto que yo oro.

And they came to a place which was named Gethsemane: and he saith to his disciples, Sit ye here, while I shall pray.

Dann nahm er Petrus, Jakobus und Johannes mit sich und fing an zu zittern und zu zagen

Y toma consigo á Pedro y á Jacobo y á Juan, y comenzó á atemorizarse, y á angustiarse.

And he taketh with him Peter and James and John, and began to be sore amazed, and to be very heavy;

He took with him Peter, James, and John, and began to be greatly troubled and distressed.

und sagte zu ihnen: »Tiefbetrübt ist meine Seele bis zum Tode; bleibt hier und haltet euch wach!«

Y les dice: Está muy triste mi alma, hasta la muerte: esperad aquí y velad.

And saith unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful unto death: tarry ye here, and watch.

He said to them, “My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch.”

Dann ging er noch ein wenig weiter, warf sich auf die Erde nieder und betete, daß, wenn es möglich sei, die Stunde an ihm vorübergehen möchte;

And he went forward a little, and fell on the ground, and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from him.

And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.

He said, “Abba, Father, all things are possible to you. Please remove this cup from me. However, not what I desire, but what you desire.”

Dann ging er zurück und fand sie schlafen und sagte zu Petrus: »Simon, du schläfst? Hattest du nicht die Kraft, eine einzige Stunde wach zu bleiben?

Y vino y los halló durmiendo; y dice á Pedro: ¿Simón, duermes? ¿No has podido velar una hora?

And he cometh, and findeth them sleeping, and saith unto Peter, Simon, sleepest thou? couldest not thou watch one hour?

He came and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, “Simon, are you sleeping? Couldn’t you watch one hour?

Wachet, und betet, damit ihr nicht in Versuchung geratet! Der Geist ist willig, das Fleisch aber ist schwach.«

Velad y orad, para que no entréis en tentación: el espíritu á la verdad es presto, mas la carne enferma.

Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.

Watch and pray, that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

Darauf ging er wieder weg und betete mit denselben Worten;

And again he went away, and prayed, and spake the same words.

und als er zurückkam, fand er sie wiederum schlafen; denn die Augen fielen ihnen vor Müdigkeit zu, und sie wußten ihm nichts zu antworten.

Y vuelto, los halló otra vez durmiendo, porque los ojos de ellos estaban cargados; y no sabían qué responderle.

And when he returned, he found them asleep again, (for their eyes were heavy,) neither wist they what to answer him.

Again he returned and found them sleeping, for their eyes were very heavy; and they didn’t know what to answer him.

Und er kam zum drittenmal und sagte zu ihnen: »Schlaft ein andermal und ruht euch aus! Es ist genug so: die Stunde ist gekommen! Sehet, der Menschensohn wird den Sündern in die Hände geliefert!

Y vino la tercera vez, y les dice: Dormid ya y descansad: basta, la hora es venida; he aquí, el Hijo del hombre es entregado en manos de los pecadores.

And he cometh the third time, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: it is enough, the hour is come; behold, the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.

He came the third time and said to them, “Sleep on now, and take your rest. It is enough. The hour has come. Behold, the Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.

Steht auf, laßt uns gehen! Seht, der mich überantwortet ist nahe gekommen!«

Levantaos, vamos: he aquí, el que me entrega está cerca.

Rise up, let us go; lo, he that betrayeth me is at hand.

Arise! Let’s get going. Behold, he who betrays me is at hand.”

Und sogleich darauf, während er noch redete, erschien Judas, einer von den Zwölfen, und mit ihm eine Schar mit Schwertern und Knütteln, von den Hohenpriestern, den Schriftgelehrten und Ältesten (abgesandt).

Y luego, aun hablando él, vino Judas, que era uno de los doce, y con él una compañía con espadas y palos, de parte de los príncipes de los sacerdotes, y de los escribas y de los ancianos.

And immediately, while he yet spake, cometh Judas, one of the twelve, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and the scribes and the elders.

Sein Verräter hatte aber ein Zeichen mit ihnen verabredet, nämlich: »Der, den ich küssen werde, der ist’s; den nehmt fest und führt ihn sicher ab!«

Y el que le entregaba les había dado señal común, diciendo: Al que yo besare, aquél es: prendedle, y llevadle con seguridad.

And he that betrayed him had given them a token, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he; take him, and lead him away safely.

Now he who betrayed him had given them a sign, saying, “Whomever I will kiss, that is he. Seize him, and lead him away safely.”

Als er nun ankam, trat er sogleich auf Jesus zu und sagte: »Rabbi!« und küßte ihn;

Y como vino, se acercó luego á él, y le dice: Maestro, Maestro. Y le besó.

And as soon as he was come, he goeth straightway to him, and saith, Master, master; and kissed him.

When he had come, immediately he came to him and said, “Rabbi! Rabbi!” and kissed him.

da legten sie Hand an Jesus und nahmen ihn fest.

Entonces ellos echaron en él sus manos, y le prendieron.

And they laid their hands on him, and took him.

Einer jedoch von den Dabeistehenden zog das Schwert, schlug auf den Knecht des Hohenpriesters ein und hieb ihm das Ohr ab.

Y uno de los que estaban allí, sacando la espada, hirió al siervo del sumo sacerdote, y le cortó la oreja.

And one of them that stood by drew a sword, and smote a servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear.

But a certain one of those who stood by drew his sword and struck the servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear.

Jesus aber sagte zu ihnen: »Wie gegen einen Räuber seid ihr mit Schwertern und Knütteln ausgezogen, um mich gefangen zu nehmen.

Y respondiendo Jesús, les dijo: ¿Como á ladrón habéis salido con espadas y con palos á tomarme?

And Jesus answered and said unto them, Are ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and with staves to take me?

Jesus answered them, “Have you come out, as against a robber, with swords and clubs to seize me?

Täglich bin ich bei euch im Tempel gewesen und habe dort gelehrt, und ihr habt mich nicht festgenommen; doch die Aussprüche der Schrift müssen erfüllt werden.«

Cada día estaba con vosotros enseñando en el templo, y no me tomasteis; pero es así, para que se cumplan las Escrituras.

I was daily with you in the temple teaching, and ye took me not: but the scriptures must be fulfilled.

I was daily with you in the temple teaching, and you didn’t arrest me. But this is so that the Scriptures might be fulfilled.”

Da verließen ihn alle und ergriffen die Flucht.

Aber ein junger Mann folgte ihm nach, der nur einen linnenen Überwurf auf dem bloßen Leibe anhatte; den ergriffen sie;

And there followed him a certain young man, having a linen cloth cast about his naked body; and the young men laid hold on him:

A certain young man followed him, having a linen cloth thrown around himself over his naked body. The young men grabbed him,

er aber ließ seinen Überwurf fahren und entfloh unbekleidet.

Mas él, dejando la sábana, se huyó de ellos desnudo.

And he left the linen cloth, and fled from them naked.

Sie führten nun Jesus zu dem Hohenpriester ab, und alle Hohenpriester sowie die Ältesten und Schriftgelehrten kamen (dort) zusammen.

Y trajeron á Jesús al sumo sacerdote; y se juntaron á él todos los príncipes de los sacerdotes y los ancianos y los escribas.

And they led Jesus away to the high priest: and with him were assembled all the chief priests and the elders and the scribes.

Petrus aber war ihm von ferne bis hinein in den Palast des Hohenpriesters gefolgt; dort hatte er sich unter die Diener gesetzt und wärmte sich am Feuer.

Empero Pedro le siguió de lejos hasta dentro del patio del sumo sacerdote; y estaba sentado con los servidores, y calentándose al fuego.

And Peter followed him afar off, even into the palace of the high priest: and he sat with the servants, and warmed himself at the fire.

Peter had followed him from a distance, until he came into the court of the high priest. He was sitting with the officers, and warming himself in the light of the fire.

Die Hohenpriester aber und der gesamte Hohe Rat suchten nach einer Zeugenaussage gegen Jesus, um ihn zum Tode verurteilen zu können, fanden jedoch keine;

Y los príncipes de los sacerdotes y todo el concilio buscaban testimonio contra Jesús, para entregarle á la muerte; mas no lo hallaban.

And the chief priests and all the council sought for witness against Jesus to put him to death; and found none.

Now the chief priests and the whole council sought witnesses against Jesus to put him to death, and found none.

denn viele legten wohl falsches Zeugnis gegen ihn ab, doch ihre Aussagen stimmten nicht überein.

Porque muchos decían falso testimonio contra él; mas sus testimonios no concertaban.

For many bare false witness against him, but their witness agreed not together.

For many gave false testimony against him, and their testimony didn’t agree with each other.

Einige traten auch auf und brachten ein falsches Zeugnis gegen ihn vor, indem sie aussagten:

Entonces levantándose unos, dieron falso testimonio contra él, diciendo:

And there arose certain, and bare false witness against him, saying,

Some stood up and gave false testimony against him, saying,

»Wir haben ihn sagen hören: ›Ich werde diesen Tempel, der von Menschenhänden errichtet ist, abbrechen und in drei Tagen einen anderen bauen, der nicht von Menschenhänden errichtet ist‹«;

Nosotros le hemos oído decir: Yo derribaré este templo que es hecho de mano, y en tres días edificaré otro echo sin mano.

We heard him say, I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands.

“We heard him say, ‘I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and in three days I will build another made without hands.’”

doch auch darin war ihr Zeugnis nicht übereinstimmend.

Mas ni aun así se concertaba el testimonio de ellos.

But neither so did their witness agree together.

Even so, their testimony didn’t agree.

Da stand der Hohepriester auf, trat in die Mitte und fragte Jesus mit den Worten: »Entgegnest du nichts auf die Aussage dieser Zeugen?«

Entonces el sumo sacerdote, levantándose en medio, preguntó á Jesús, diciendo: ¿No respondes algo? ¿Qué atestiguan éstos contra ti?

And the high priest stood up in the midst, and asked Jesus, saying, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee?

The high priest stood up in the middle, and asked Jesus, “Have you no answer? What is it which these testify against you?”

Er aber schwieg und gab keine Antwort. Nochmals befragte ihn der Hohepriester mit den Worten: »Bist du Christus, der Sohn des Hochgelobten?«

Mas él callaba, y nada respondía. El sumo sacerdote le volvió á preguntar, y le dice: ¿Eres tú el Cristo, el Hijo del Bendito?

But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?

But he stayed quiet, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, “Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?”

Jesus antwortete: »Ja, ich bin es, und ihr werdet den Menschensohn sitzen sehen zur Rechten der Macht und kommen mit den Wolken des Himmels!«

Y Jesús le dijo: Yo soy; y veréis al Hijo del hombre sentado á la diestra de la potencia de Dios, y viniendo en las nubes del cielo.

And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.

Jesus said, “I am. You will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of Power, and coming with the clouds of the sky.”

Da zerriß der Hohepriester seine Kleider und sagte: »Wozu brauchen wir noch weiter Zeugen?

Entonces el sumo sacerdote, rasgando sus vestidos, dijo: ¿Qué más tenemos necesidad de testigos?

Then the high priest rent his clothes, and saith, What need we any further witnesses?

The high priest tore his clothes and said, “What further need have we of witnesses?

Ihr habt die Gotteslästerung gehört: was urteilt ihr?« Da gaben sie alle das Urteil über ihn ab, er sei des Todes schuldig.

Oído habéis la blasfemia: ¿qué os parece? Y ellos todos le condenaron ser culpado de muerte.

Ye have heard the blasphemy: what think ye? And they all condemned him to be guilty of death.

You have heard the blasphemy! What do you think?” They all condemned him to be worthy of death.

Nun fingen einige an, ihn anzuspeien, ihm das Gesicht zu verhüllen, ihn dann mit der Faust zu schlagen und zu ihm zu sagen: »Weissage uns!« Auch die Gerichtsdiener versetzten ihm bei der Übernahme Schläge ins Gesicht.

Y algunos comenzaron á escupir en él, y cubrir su rostro, y á darle bofetadas, y decirle: Profetiza. Y los servidores le herían de bofetadas.

And some began to spit on him, and to cover his face, and to buffet him, and to say unto him, Prophesy: and the servants did strike him with the palms of their hands.

Some began to spit on him, and to cover his face, and to beat him with fists, and to tell him, “Prophesy!” The officers struck him with the palms of their hands.

Während nun Petrus unten im Hofe (des Palastes) war, kam eine von den Mägden des Hohenpriesters,

Y estando Pedro abajo en el atrio, vino una de las criadas del sumo sacerdote;

And as Peter was beneath in the palace, there cometh one of the maids of the high priest:

As Peter was in the courtyard below, one of the maids of the high priest came,

und als sie Petrus (am Feuer) sich wärmen sah, blickte sie ihn scharf an und sagte: »Du bist auch mit dem Nazarener, mit Jesus, zusammengewesen!«

Y como vió á Pedro que se calentaba, mirándole, dice: Y tú con Jesús el Nazareno estabas.

And when she saw Peter warming himself, she looked upon him, and said, And thou also wast with Jesus of Nazareth.

and seeing Peter warming himself, she looked at him and said, “You were also with the Nazarene, Jesus!”

Er aber leugnete und sagte: »Ich weiß nicht und verstehe nicht, was du da sagst!« Er ging dann in die Vorhalle des Hofes hinaus,

Mas él negó, diciendo: No conozco, ni sé lo que dices. Y se salió fuera á la entrada; y cantó el gallo.

But he denied, saying, I know not, neither understand I what thou sayest. And he went out into the porch; and the cock crew.

But he denied it, saying, “I neither know nor understand what you are saying.” He went out on the porch, and the rooster crowed.

und als die Magd ihn dort sah, fing sie wieder an und sagte zu den Dabeistehenden: »Dieser ist auch einer von ihnen!«

Y la criada viéndole otra vez, comenzó á decir á los que estaban allí: Este es de ellos.

And a maid saw him again, and began to say to them that stood by, This is one of them.

The maid saw him and began again to tell those who stood by, “This is one of them.”

Er aber leugnete wiederum. Nach einer kleinen Weile sagten die Dabeistehenden wieder zu Petrus: »Wahrhaftig, du gehörst zu ihnen! Du bist ja auch ein Galiläer.«

Mas él negó otra vez. Y poco después, los que estaban allí dijeron otra vez á Pedro: Verdaderamente tú eres de ellos; porque eres Galileo, y tu habla es semejante.

And he denied it again. And a little after, they that stood by said again to Peter, Surely thou art one of them: for thou art a Galilaean, and thy speech agreeth thereto.

But he again denied it. After a little while again those who stood by said to Peter, “You truly are one of them, for you are a Galilean, and your speech shows it.”

Er aber fing an, sich zu verfluchen und eidlich zu beteuern: »Ich kenne diesen Menschen nicht, von dem ihr da redet!«

Y él comenzó á maldecir y á jurar: No conozco á este hombre de quien habláis.

But he began to curse and to swear, saying, I know not this man of whom ye speak.

But he began to curse and to swear, “I don’t know this man of whom you speak!”

Und alsbald krähte der Hahn zum zweitenmal. Da dachte Petrus an das Wort Jesu, wie er zu ihm gesagt hatte: »Ehe der Hahn zweimal kräht, wirst du mich dreimal verleugnen.« Als er daran dachte, brach er in Tränen aus.

Y el gallo cantó la segunda vez: y Pedro se acordó de las palabras que Jesús le había dicho: Antes que el gallo cante dos veces, me negarás tres veces. Y pensando en esto, lloraba.

And the second time the cock crew. And Peter called to mind the word that Jesus said unto him, Before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice. And when he thought thereon, he wept.

The rooster crowed the second time. Peter remembered the words that Jesus said to him, “Before the rooster crows twice, you will deny me three times.” When he thought about that, he wept.
