Nach zwei Tagen aber war Pascha und das Fest des Ungesäuerten. Und die Hohenpriester und die Schriftgelehrten suchten, wie sie Ihn mit Trug ergriffen und töteten.

Y DOS días después era la Pascua y los días de los panes sin levadura: y procuraban los príncipes de los sacerdotes y los escribas cómo le prenderían por engaño, y le matarían.

After two days was the feast of the passover, and of unleavened bread: and the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might take him by craft, and put him to death.

It was now two days before the Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread, and the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might seize him by deception and kill him.

Sie sagten aber: Nicht am Fest, daß nicht ein Getümmel im Volk werde!

Y decían: No en el día de la fiesta, porque no se haga alboroto del pueblo.

But they said, Not on the feast day, lest there be an uproar of the people.

For they said, “Not during the feast, because there might be a riot among the people.”

Und da Er in Bethanien im Hause Simons des Aussätzigen zu Tische lag, kam ein Weib, die hatte eine Alabasterbüchse mit Salbe von echter köstlicher Narde, und sie zerbrach die Alabasterbüchse und goß sie auf Sein Haupt.

Y estando él en Bethania en casa de Simón el leproso, y sentado á la mesa, vino una mujer teniendo un alabastro de ungüento de nardo espique de mucho precio; y quebrando el alabastro, derramóselo sobre su cabeza.

And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on his head.

While he was at Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at the table, a woman came having an alabaster jar of ointment of pure nard—very costly. She broke the jar and poured it over his head.

Es waren aber etliche da, die wurden unwillig bei sich und sprachen: Wozu ist diese Verschwendung der Salbe geworden?

Y hubo algunos que se enojaron dentro de sí, y dijeron: ¿Para qué se ha hecho este desperdicio de ungüento?

And there were some that had indignation within themselves, and said, Why was this waste of the ointment made?

But there were some who were indignant among themselves, saying, “Why has this ointment been wasted?

Diese Salbe konnte man um mehr den dreihundert Denare verkaufen und es den Armen geben; und sie ergrimmten über sie.

Porque podía esto ser vendido por más de trescientos denarios, y darse á los pobres. Y murmuraban contra ella.

For it might have been sold for more than three hundred pence, and have been given to the poor. And they murmured against her.

For this might have been sold for more than three hundred denarii and given to the poor.” So they grumbled against her.

Jesus aber sprach: Lasset sie! - Was belästigt ihr sie? Sie hat ein schönes Werk an Mir gewirkt.

Mas Jesús dijo: Dejadla; ¿por qué la fatigáis? buena obra me ha hecho;

And Jesus said, Let her alone; why trouble ye her? she hath wrought a good work on me.

But Jesus said, “Leave her alone. Why do you trouble her? She has done a good work for me.

Denn die Armen habt ihr allezeit bei euch, und wenn ihr wollt, könnt ihr ihnen Gutes tun; Mich aber habt ihr nicht allezeit.

Que siempre tendréis los pobres con vosotros, y cuando quisiereis les podréis hacer bien; mas á mí no siempre me tendréis.

For ye have the poor with you always, and whensoever ye will ye may do them good: but me ye have not always.

For you always have the poor with you, and whenever you want to, you can do them good; but you will not always have me.

Sie hat getan, was sie vermochte. Sie ist zuvorgekommen, Meinen Leib zum Begräbnisse zu salben.

Esta ha hecho lo que podía; porque se ha anticipado á ungir mi cuerpo para la sepultura.

She hath done what she could: she is come aforehand to anoint my body to the burying.

Wahrlich, Ich sage euch: Wo in aller Welt dieses Evangelium gepredigt wird, da wird man auch von dem, was sie getan, reden zu ihrem Gedächtnis.

De cierto os digo que donde quiera que fuere predicado este evangelio en todo el mundo, también esto que ha hecho ésta, será dicho para memoria de ella.

Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, this also that she hath done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her.

Most certainly I tell you, wherever this Good News may be preached throughout the whole world, that which this woman has done will also be spoken of for a memorial of her.”

Und Judas Ischariot, einer von den Zwölfen, ging hin zu den Hohenpriestern, daß er Ihn denselben überantworte.

Entonces Judas Iscariote, uno de los doce, vino á los príncipes de los sacerdotes, para entregársele.

And Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, went unto the chief priests, to betray him unto them.

Als sie aber das hörten, freuten sie sich und versprachen, ihm Silber zu geben. Und er trachtete danach, wie er Ihn mit guter Gelegenheit überantworte.

Y ellos oyéndolo se holgaron, y prometieron que le darían dineros. Y buscaba oportunidad cómo le entregaría.

And when they heard it, they were glad, and promised to give him money. And he sought how he might conveniently betray him.

Und am ersten Tage des Ungesäuerten, da sie das Pascha schlachteten, sprachen Seine Jünger zu Ihm: Wo willst Du, daß wir hingehen zu bereiten, daß Du das Pasche essest?

Y el primer día de los panes sin levadura, cuando sacrificaban la pascua, sus discípulos le dicen: ¿Dónde quieres que vayamos á disponer para que comas la pascua?

And the first day of unleavened bread, when they killed the passover, his disciples said unto him, Where wilt thou that we go and prepare that thou mayest eat the passover?

Und Er sendet zwei Seiner Jünger und spricht zu ihnen: Gehet hin in die Stadt, und es wird euch ein Mensch begegnen, der einen Krug mit Wasser trägt; folget ihm nach.

Y envía dos de sus discípulos, y les dice: Id á la ciudad, y os encontrará un hombre que lleva un cántaro de agua; seguidle;

And he sendeth forth two of his disciples, and saith unto them, Go ye into the city, and there shall meet you a man bearing a pitcher of water: follow him.

Und wo er eingeht, da saget dem Hausherrn: Der Lehrer läßt dir sagen: Wo ist die Herberge, darin Ich das Pascha mit Meinen Jüngern esse?

Y donde entrare, decid al señor de la casa: El Maestro dice: ¿Dónde está el aposento donde he de comer la pascua con mis discípulos?

And wheresoever he shall go in, say ye to the goodman of the house, The Master saith, Where is the guestchamber, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples?

and wherever he enters in, tell the master of the house, ‘The Teacher says, “Where is the guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?”’

Und der wird euch einen großen bepolsterten Obersaal zeigen, der bereit ist. Daselbst bereitet es für uns.

Y él os mostrará un gran cenáculo ya preparado: aderezad para nosotros allí.

And he will shew you a large upper room furnished and prepared: there make ready for us.

He will himself show you a large upper room furnished and ready. Get ready for us there.”

Und Seine Jünger gingen aus und kamen in die Stadt und fanden es, wie Er ihnen gesagt hatte, und bereiteten das Pascha.

Y fueron sus discípulos, y vinieron á la ciudad, y hallaron como les había dicho; y aderezaron la pascua.

And his disciples went forth, and came into the city, and found as he had said unto them: and they made ready the passover.

Und als es Abend ward, kam Er mit den Zwölfen.

Und da sie bei Tische lagen und aßen, sprach Jesus: Wahrlich, Ich sage euch: Einer von euch, der mit Mir isset, wird Mich verraten.

Y como se sentaron á la mesa y comiesen, dice Jesús: De cierto os digo que uno de vosotros, que come conmigo, me ha de entregar.

And as they sat and did eat, Jesus said, Verily I say unto you, One of you which eateth with me shall betray me.

As they sat and were eating, Jesus said, “Most certainly I tell you, one of you will betray me—he who eats with me.”

Sie aber fingen an betrübt zu werden und einer nach dem anderen zu Ihm zu sagen: Doch nicht ich? und ein anderer: Doch nicht ich?

Entonces ellos comenzaron á entristecerse, y á decirle cada uno por sí: ¿Seré yo? Y el otro: ¿Seré yo?

And they began to be sorrowful, and to say unto him one by one, Is it I? and another said, Is it I?

They began to be sorrowful, and to ask him one by one, “Surely not I?” And another said, “Surely not I?”

Er aber antwortete und sprach zu ihnen: Einer aus den Zwölfen, der mit Mir in die Schale eintaucht.

And he answered and said unto them, It is one of the twelve, that dippeth with me in the dish.

He answered them, “It is one of the twelve, he who dips with me in the dish.

Des Menschen Sohn geht zwar hin, wie es von Ihm geschrieben steht. Aber wehe demselben Menschen, durch den des Menschen Sohn verraten wird. Es wäre selbigen Menschen besser, er wäre nicht geboren worden!

A la verdad el Hijo del hombre va, como está de él escrito; mas ¡ay de aquel hombre por quien el Hijo del hombre es entregado! bueno le fuera á aquel hombre si nunca hubiera nacido.

The Son of man indeed goeth, as it is written of him: but woe to that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! good were it for that man if he had never been born.

For the Son of Man goes as it is written about him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would be better for that man if he had not been born.”

Und da sie aßen, nahm Jesus Brot, segnete es, brach es, und gab es ihnen und sprach: Nehmet, esset! Das ist Mein Leib;

Y estando ellos comiendo, tomó Jesús pan, y bendiciendo, partió y les dió, y dijo: Tomad, esto es mi cuerpo.

And as they did eat, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and brake it, and gave to them, and said, Take, eat: this is my body.

Und Er nahm den Kelch, dankte und gab ihnen den, und sie tranken alle daraus.

And he took the cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them: and they all drank of it.

Und Er sprach zu ihnen: Dies ist Mein Blut, das des neuen Bundes, das für viele vergossen wird.

Y les dice: Esto es mi sangre del nuevo pacto, que por muchos es derramada.

And he said unto them, This is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many.

He said to them, “This is my blood of the new covenant, which is poured out for many.

Wahrlich, Ich sage euch: Ich werde hinfort nicht mehr von dem Gewächse des Weinstocks trinken, bis auf selbigen Tag, da Ich es neu trinke im Reiche Gottes.

De cierto os digo que no beberé más del fruto de la vid, hasta aquel día cuando lo beberé nuevo en el reino de Dios.

Verily I say unto you, I will drink no more of the fruit of the vine, until that day that I drink it new in the kingdom of God.

Most certainly I tell you, I will no more drink of the fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it anew in God’s Kingdom.”

Und nach dem Lobgesang gingen sie hinaus an den Ölberg.

Y como hubieron cantado el himno, se salieron al monte de las Olivas.

Und Jesus spricht zu ihnen: In dieser Nacht werdet ihr euch alle an Mir ärgern; denn es ist geschrieben: Ich werde den Hirten schlagen, und die Schafe werden sich zerstreuen.

Jesús entonces les dice: Todos seréis escandalizados en mí esta noche; porque escrito está: Heriré al pastor, y serán derramadas las ovejas.

And Jesus saith unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered.

Jesus said to them, “All of you will be made to stumble because of me tonight, for it is written, ‘I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered.’

Aber wenn Ich auferweckt werde, will Ich euch vorangehen nach Galiläa.

Mas después que haya resucitado, iré delante de vosotros á Galilea.

But after that I am risen, I will go before you into Galilee.

Petrus aber sprach zu Ihm: Wenn sich auch alle ärgern werden, so doch ich nicht.

Entonces Pedro le dijo: Aunque todos sean escandalizados, mas no yo.

But Peter said unto him, Although all shall be offended, yet will not I.

But Peter said to him, “Although all will be offended, yet I will not.”

Und Jesus sprach zu ihm: Wahrlich, Ich sage dir: Heute in dieser Nacht, ehe denn der Hahn zweimal kräht, wirst du Mich dreimal verleugnen.

Y le dice Jesús: De cierto te digo que tú, hoy, en esta noche, antes que el gallo haya cantado dos veces, me negarás tres veces.

And Jesus saith unto him, Verily I say unto thee, That this day, even in this night, before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice.

Jesus said to him, “Most certainly I tell you that you today, even this night, before the rooster crows twice, you will deny me three times.”

Er aber sprach noch darüber: Wenn ich auch mit Dir sterben müßte, so werde ich Dich doch nicht verleugnen. Desgleichen aber sprachen auch alle.

Mas él con mayor porfía decía: Si me fuere menester morir contigo, no te negaré. También todos decían lo mismo.

But he spake the more vehemently, If I should die with thee, I will not deny thee in any wise. Likewise also said they all.

But he spoke all the more, “If I must die with you, I will not deny you.” They all said the same thing.

Und sie kommen zu dem Hofe, mit Namen Gethsemane. Und Er sprach zu Seinen Jüngern: Setzet euch allda, bis Ich bete.

Y vienen al lugar que se llama Gethsemaní, y dice á sus discípulos: Sentaos aquí, entre tanto que yo oro.

And they came to a place which was named Gethsemane: and he saith to his disciples, Sit ye here, while I shall pray.

Und Er nimmt Petrus und Jakobus und Johannes mit Sich, und fing an, zu bangen und zu zagen;

Y toma consigo á Pedro y á Jacobo y á Juan, y comenzó á atemorizarse, y á angustiarse.

And he taketh with him Peter and James and John, and began to be sore amazed, and to be very heavy;

He took with him Peter, James, and John, and began to be greatly troubled and distressed.

Und Er sprach zu ihnen: Meine Seele ist tief betrübt bis in den Tod. Bleibet hier und wachet!

Y les dice: Está muy triste mi alma, hasta la muerte: esperad aquí y velad.

And saith unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful unto death: tarry ye here, and watch.

He said to them, “My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch.”

Und Er ging ein wenig vor, fiel auf die Erde und betete, daß, so es möglich wäre, die Stunde von Ihm vorüberginge.

Y yéndose un poco adelante, se postró en tierra, y oró que si fuese posible, pasase de él aquella hora.

And he went forward a little, and fell on the ground, and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from him.

Und Er sprach: Abba, Vater. Alles ist Dir möglich, nimm diesen Kelch hinweg von Mir; doch nicht was Ich will, sondern was Du.

And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.

He said, “Abba, Father, all things are possible to you. Please remove this cup from me. However, not what I desire, but what you desire.”

Und Er kommt und findet sie schlummernd und spricht zu Petrus: Simon, schlummerst du? Vermochtest du nicht eine Stunde zu wachen?

Y vino y los halló durmiendo; y dice á Pedro: ¿Simón, duermes? ¿No has podido velar una hora?

And he cometh, and findeth them sleeping, and saith unto Peter, Simon, sleepest thou? couldest not thou watch one hour?

He came and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, “Simon, are you sleeping? Couldn’t you watch one hour?

Wachet und betet, daß ihr nicht in Versuchung eingehet; der Geist zwar ist willig, aber das Fleisch ist schwach.

Velad y orad, para que no entréis en tentación: el espíritu á la verdad es presto, mas la carne enferma.

Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.

Watch and pray, that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

Und Er ging wieder hin, betete und sprach dieselben Worte.

And again he went away, and prayed, and spake the same words.

Und Er kehrte zurück und fand sie abermals schlummernd; denn ihr Augen waren beschwert, und sie wußten nicht, was sie Ihm antworten sollten.

Y vuelto, los halló otra vez durmiendo, porque los ojos de ellos estaban cargados; y no sabían qué responderle.

And when he returned, he found them asleep again, (for their eyes were heavy,) neither wist they what to answer him.

Again he returned and found them sleeping, for their eyes were very heavy; and they didn’t know what to answer him.

Und Er kommt zum dritten Mal und spricht zu ihnen: Schlummert nun ferner und ruhet euch aus! - Es ist dahin! Die Stunde ist gekommen. Siehe, des Menschen Sohn wird in die Hände der Sünder überantwortet.

Y vino la tercera vez, y les dice: Dormid ya y descansad: basta, la hora es venida; he aquí, el Hijo del hombre es entregado en manos de los pecadores.

And he cometh the third time, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: it is enough, the hour is come; behold, the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.

Macht euch auf, laßt uns gehen! Siehe, der Mich verrät, hat sich genaht!

Levantaos, vamos: he aquí, el que me entrega está cerca.

Rise up, let us go; lo, he that betrayeth me is at hand.

Arise! Let’s get going. Behold, he who betrays me is at hand.”

Und alsbald während Er noch redete, trat herzu Judas, einer von den Zwölfen, und viel Gedränge mit ihm mit Schwertern und Knitteln, von den Hohenpriestern und den Schriftgelehrten und den Ältesten.

Y luego, aun hablando él, vino Judas, que era uno de los doce, y con él una compañía con espadas y palos, de parte de los príncipes de los sacerdotes, y de los escribas y de los ancianos.

And immediately, while he yet spake, cometh Judas, one of the twelve, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and the scribes and the elders.

Der Verräter aber hatte ihnen ein Merkzeichen gegeben und gesagt: Welchen ich küssen werde, Der ist es, ergreifet und führet Ihn sicher weg.

Y el que le entregaba les había dado señal común, diciendo: Al que yo besare, aquél es: prendedle, y llevadle con seguridad.

And he that betrayed him had given them a token, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he; take him, and lead him away safely.

Now he who betrayed him had given them a sign, saying, “Whomever I will kiss, that is he. Seize him, and lead him away safely.”

Und da er kam, kam er alsbald heran, zu Ihm und sprach: Rabbi, Rabbi, und küßte Ihn.

Y como vino, se acercó luego á él, y le dice: Maestro, Maestro. Y le besó.

And as soon as he was come, he goeth straightway to him, and saith, Master, master; and kissed him.

When he had come, immediately he came to him and said, “Rabbi! Rabbi!” and kissed him.

Sie aber legten ihre Hände an Ihn und ergriffen Ihn.

Entonces ellos echaron en él sus manos, y le prendieron.

And they laid their hands on him, and took him.

Einer aber derer, die dabei standen, zog das Schwert, und schlug nach dem Knecht des Hohenpriesters und hieb ihm das Ohr ab.

Y uno de los que estaban allí, sacando la espada, hirió al siervo del sumo sacerdote, y le cortó la oreja.

And one of them that stood by drew a sword, and smote a servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear.

But a certain one of those who stood by drew his sword and struck the servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear.

Und Jesus hob an und sprach zu ihnen: Wie gegen einen Räuber seid ihr ausgezogen mit Schwertern und mit Knitteln, Mich gefangenzunehmen.

Y respondiendo Jesús, les dijo: ¿Como á ladrón habéis salido con espadas y con palos á tomarme?

And Jesus answered and said unto them, Are ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and with staves to take me?

Jesus answered them, “Have you come out, as against a robber, with swords and clubs to seize me?

Täglich war Ich bei euch im Heiligtum und lehrte, und ihr ergriffet Mich nicht; aber - auf daß die Schriften erfüllet werden!

Cada día estaba con vosotros enseñando en el templo, y no me tomasteis; pero es así, para que se cumplan las Escrituras.

I was daily with you in the temple teaching, and ye took me not: but the scriptures must be fulfilled.

I was daily with you in the temple teaching, and you didn’t arrest me. But this is so that the Scriptures might be fulfilled.”

Und sie verließen Ihn alle und flohen.

Und ein gewisser Jüngling folgte Ihm nach, der hatte eine Leinwand auf den bloßen Leibe umgeworfen, und die Jünglinge ergriffen ihn.

Empero un mancebillo le seguía cubierto de una sábana sobre el cuerpo desnudo; y los mancebos le prendieron:

And there followed him a certain young man, having a linen cloth cast about his naked body; and the young men laid hold on him:

A certain young man followed him, having a linen cloth thrown around himself over his naked body. The young men grabbed him,

Der aber ließ die Leinwand zurück und entfloh ihnen nackt.

Und sie führten Jesus weg zu dem Hohenpriester, und alle die Hohenpriester und die Ältesten und die Schriftgelehrten kamen bei ihm zusammen.

And they led Jesus away to the high priest: and with him were assembled all the chief priests and the elders and the scribes.

Und Petrus folgte Ihm nach von weitem, bis hinein in den Hof des Hohenpriesters, und er saß bei den Amtsdienern und wärmte sich bei dem Licht.

Empero Pedro le siguió de lejos hasta dentro del patio del sumo sacerdote; y estaba sentado con los servidores, y calentándose al fuego.

And Peter followed him afar off, even into the palace of the high priest: and he sat with the servants, and warmed himself at the fire.

Peter had followed him from a distance, until he came into the court of the high priest. He was sitting with the officers, and warming himself in the light of the fire.

Die Hohenpriester aber und der ganze Rat suchten Zeugnis wider Jesus, auf daß sie Ihn zum Tode brächten, fanden aber keines.

Y los príncipes de los sacerdotes y todo el concilio buscaban testimonio contra Jesús, para entregarle á la muerte; mas no lo hallaban.

And the chief priests and all the council sought for witness against Jesus to put him to death; and found none.

Denn viele gaben falsches Zeugnis wider Ihn; aber die Zeugnisse waren nicht gleich.

Porque muchos decían falso testimonio contra él; mas sus testimonios no concertaban.

For many bare false witness against him, but their witness agreed not together.

For many gave false testimony against him, and their testimony didn’t agree with each other.

Und einige standen auf und gaben falsch Zeugnis wider Ihn und sprachen:

Entonces levantándose unos, dieron falso testimonio contra él, diciendo:

And there arose certain, and bare false witness against him, saying,

Some stood up and gave false testimony against him, saying,

Wir hörten Ihn sagen: Ich will diesen mit Händen gemachten Tempel niederreißen und binnen drei Tagen einen anderen bauen, nicht mit Händen gemacht.

Nosotros le hemos oído decir: Yo derribaré este templo que es hecho de mano, y en tres días edificaré otro echo sin mano.

We heard him say, I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands.

“We heard him say, ‘I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and in three days I will build another made without hands.’”

Aber auch so war ihr Zeugnis nicht gleich.

Mas ni aun así se concertaba el testimonio de ellos.

But neither so did their witness agree together.

Even so, their testimony didn’t agree.

Und der Hohepriester stand in ihrer Mitte auf, fragte Jesus und sprach: Antwortest Du nichts auf das, was diese wider Dich zeugen?

Entonces el sumo sacerdote, levantándose en medio, preguntó á Jesús, diciendo: ¿No respondes algo? ¿Qué atestiguan éstos contra ti?

And the high priest stood up in the midst, and asked Jesus, saying, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee?

The high priest stood up in the middle, and asked Jesus, “Have you no answer? What is it which these testify against you?”

Er aber schwieg stille und antwortete nicht. Wieder fragte Ihn der Hohepriester und sprach zu Ihm: Bist du Christus, der Sohn des Gesegneten?

Mas él callaba, y nada respondía. El sumo sacerdote le volvió á preguntar, y le dice: ¿Eres tú el Cristo, el Hijo del Bendito?

But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?

But he stayed quiet, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, “Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?”

Jesus aber sprach: Ich bin. Und ihr werdet sehen des Menschen Sohn sitzen zur Rechten der Kraft und kommen mit des Himmels Wolken.

Y Jesús le dijo: Yo soy; y veréis al Hijo del hombre sentado á la diestra de la potencia de Dios, y viniendo en las nubes del cielo.

And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.

Jesus said, “I am. You will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of Power, and coming with the clouds of the sky.”

Der Hohepriester aber zerriß seine Röcke und sprach: Was bedürfen wir noch Zeugen?

Entonces el sumo sacerdote, rasgando sus vestidos, dijo: ¿Qué más tenemos necesidad de testigos?

Then the high priest rent his clothes, and saith, What need we any further witnesses?

The high priest tore his clothes and said, “What further need have we of witnesses?

Ihr habt die Lästerung gehört. Wie scheint es euch? Sie aber verurteilten Ihn alle, daß Er dem Tode verfallen wäre.

Oído habéis la blasfemia: ¿qué os parece? Y ellos todos le condenaron ser culpado de muerte.

Ye have heard the blasphemy: what think ye? And they all condemned him to be guilty of death.

You have heard the blasphemy! What do you think?” They all condemned him to be worthy of death.

Und es fingen einige an, Ihn anzuspeien, und Ihm das Angesicht zu umhüllen, und Ihn mit Fäusten zu schlagen und zu Ihm zu sagen: Weissage. Und die Amtsdiener gaben Ihm Backenstreiche.

Y algunos comenzaron á escupir en él, y cubrir su rostro, y á darle bofetadas, y decirle: Profetiza. Y los servidores le herían de bofetadas.

And some began to spit on him, and to cover his face, and to buffet him, and to say unto him, Prophesy: and the servants did strike him with the palms of their hands.

Some began to spit on him, and to cover his face, and to beat him with fists, and to tell him, “Prophesy!” The officers struck him with the palms of their hands.

Und während Petrus unten in dem Hofe war, kam eine der Mägde des Hohenpriesters.

Y estando Pedro abajo en el atrio, vino una de las criadas del sumo sacerdote;

And as Peter was beneath in the palace, there cometh one of the maids of the high priest:

As Peter was in the courtyard below, one of the maids of the high priest came,

Und da sie den Petrus sich wärmen sah, blickte sie ihn an und sprach: Auch du warst mit Jesus dem Nazarener.

Y como vió á Pedro que se calentaba, mirándole, dice: Y tú con Jesús el Nazareno estabas.

And when she saw Peter warming himself, she looked upon him, and said, And thou also wast with Jesus of Nazareth.

and seeing Peter warming himself, she looked at him and said, “You were also with the Nazarene, Jesus!”

Er aber leugnete und sprach: Ich weiß nicht und verstehe nicht, was du sagst; und ging hinaus in den Vorhof, und ein Hahn krähte.

Mas él negó, diciendo: No conozco, ni sé lo que dices. Y se salió fuera á la entrada; y cantó el gallo.

But he denied, saying, I know not, neither understand I what thou sayest. And he went out into the porch; and the cock crew.

But he denied it, saying, “I neither know nor understand what you are saying.” He went out on the porch, and the rooster crowed.

Und die Magd sah ihn wiederum und fing an und sprach zu den Dabeistehenden: Dieser ist von ihnen.

Y la criada viéndole otra vez, comenzó á decir á los que estaban allí: Este es de ellos.

And a maid saw him again, and began to say to them that stood by, This is one of them.

The maid saw him and began again to tell those who stood by, “This is one of them.”

Er aber leugnete abermals; und nach einer kleinen Weile sprachen abermals die Dabeistehenden zu Petrus: Wahrhaftig, du bist von ihnen; du bist ja ein Galiläer, und deine Sprache lautet so.

Mas él negó otra vez. Y poco después, los que estaban allí dijeron otra vez á Pedro: Verdaderamente tú eres de ellos; porque eres Galileo, y tu habla es semejante.

And he denied it again. And a little after, they that stood by said again to Peter, Surely thou art one of them: for thou art a Galilaean, and thy speech agreeth thereto.

But he again denied it. After a little while again those who stood by said to Peter, “You truly are one of them, for you are a Galilean, and your speech shows it.”

Er aber fing an, sich zu verwünschen und zu schwören: Ich kenne diesen Menschen nicht, von Welchem ihr sprechet.

Y él comenzó á maldecir y á jurar: No conozco á este hombre de quien habláis.

But he began to curse and to swear, saying, I know not this man of whom ye speak.

But he began to curse and to swear, “I don’t know this man of whom you speak!”

Und der Hahn krähte zum zweiten Mal. Und Petrus gedachte der Rede, die Jesus zu ihm sprach: Ehe der Hahn zum zweiten Mal kräht, wirst du Mich drei Mal verleugnen; und er hob an zu weinen.

Y el gallo cantó la segunda vez: y Pedro se acordó de las palabras que Jesús le había dicho: Antes que el gallo cante dos veces, me negarás tres veces. Y pensando en esto, lloraba.

And the second time the cock crew. And Peter called to mind the word that Jesus said unto him, Before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice. And when he thought thereon, he wept.

The rooster crowed the second time. Peter remembered the words that Jesus said to him, “Before the rooster crows twice, you will deny me three times.” When he thought about that, he wept.
