Entonces un hombre corrió, empapó una esponja en vinagre, la puso en el extremo de una caña y se la ofreció a Jesús para que bebiera. Y dijo: ―Déjenlo, vamos a ver si Elías viene a bajarlo.

Y corrió uno, y empapando una esponja en vinagre, y poniéndola en una caña, le dió á beber, diciendo: Dejad, veamos si vendrá Elías á quitarle.

And one ran and filled a spunge full of vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink, saying, Let alone; let us see whether Elias will come to take him down.
