Und da der Sabbat vergangen war, kauften Maria Magdalena und Maria des Jakobus und Salome Spezerei, auf daß sie kämen und salbeten ihn.

Y cuando fué la tarde, porque era la preparación, es decir, la víspera del sábado,

And now when the even was come, because it was the preparation, that is, the day before the sabbath,

When evening had now come, because it was the Preparation Day, that is, the day before the Sabbath,
