Und sogleich frühmorgens fertigten die Hohenpriester mit den Ältesten und Schriftgelehrten und (somit) der gesamte Hohe Rat den (endgültigen) Beschluß aus, ließen Jesus fesseln und abführen und übergaben ihn dem Pilatus.

Y LUEGO por la mañana, habiendo tenido consejo los príncipes de los sacerdotes con los ancianos, y con los escribas, y con todo el concilio, llevaron á Jesús atado, y le entregaron á Pilato.

And straightway in the morning the chief priests held a consultation with the elders and scribes and the whole council, and bound Jesus, and carried him away, and delivered him to Pilate.

Dieser befragte ihn: »Bist du der König der Juden?« Er antwortete ihm mit den Worten: »Ja, ich bin es.«

Y Pilato le preguntó: ¿Eres tú el Rey de los Judíos? Y respondiendo él, le dijo: Tú lo dices.

And Pilate asked him, Art thou the King of the Jews? And he answering said unto him, Thou sayest it.

Die Hohenpriester brachten dann viele Anklagen gegen ihn vor;

da fragte Pilatus ihn nochmals: »Entgegnest du nichts? Höre nur, was sie alles gegen dich vorbringen!«

Y le preguntó otra vez Pilato, diciendo: ¿No respondes algo? Mira de cuántas cosas te acusan.

And Pilate asked him again, saying, Answerest thou nothing? behold how many things they witness against thee.

Pilate again asked him, “Have you no answer? See how many things they testify against you!”

Jesus aber gab keine Antwort mehr, so daß Pilatus sich verwunderte.

An jedem Fest aber pflegte er ihnen einen Gefangenen freizugeben, den sie sich erbaten.

Nun saß damals ein unter dem Namen Barabbas bekannter Mensch im Gefängnis mit den (anderen) Aufrührern, die beim Aufruhr einen Mord begangen hatten.

Y había uno, que se llamaba Barrabás, preso con sus compañeros de motín que habían hecho muerte en una revuelta.

And there was one named Barabbas, which lay bound with them that had made insurrection with him, who had committed murder in the insurrection.

There was one called Barabbas, bound with his fellow insurgents, men who in the insurrection had committed murder.

So zog denn die Volksmenge hinauf und begann um das zu bitten, was er ihnen gewöhnlich gewährte.

Y viniendo la multitud, comenzó á pedir hiciese como siempre les había hecho.

And the multitude crying aloud began to desire him to do as he had ever done unto them.

Pilatus antwortete ihnen mit der Frage: »Wollt ihr, daß ich euch den König der Juden freigebe?«

Y Pilato les respondió, diciendo: ¿Queréis que os suelte al Rey de los Judíos?

But Pilate answered them, saying, Will ye that I release unto you the King of the Jews?

Pilate answered them, saying, “Do you want me to release to you the King of the Jews?”

Er war sich nämlich klar darüber geworden, daß die Hohenpriester ihn aus Neid überantwortet hatten.

Porque conocía que por envidia le habían entregado los príncipes de los sacerdotes.

For he knew that the chief priests had delivered him for envy.

For he perceived that for envy the chief priests had delivered him up.

Die Hohenpriester aber hetzten die Volksmenge zu der Forderung auf, er möchte ihnen lieber den Barabbas freigeben.

Mas los príncipes de los sacerdotes incitaron á la multitud, que les soltase antes á Barrabás.

But the chief priests moved the people, that he should rather release Barabbas unto them.

But the chief priests stirred up the multitude, that he should release Barabbas to them instead.

Nun richtete Pilatus nochmals die Frage an sie: »Was soll ich denn mit dem (Manne) machen, den ihr den König der Juden nennt?«

Y respondiendo Pilato, les dice otra vez: ¿Qué pues queréis que haga del que llamáis Rey de los Judíos?

And Pilate answered and said again unto them, What will ye then that I shall do unto him whom ye call the King of the Jews?

Pilate again asked them, “What then should I do to him whom you call the King of the Jews?”

Sie schrien zurück: »Laß ihn kreuzigen!«

Y ellos volvieron á dar voces: Crucifícale.

And they cried out again, Crucify him.

They cried out again, “Crucify him!”

Pilatus entgegnete ihnen: »Was hat er denn Böses getan?« Da schrien sie noch lauter: »Laß ihn kreuzigen!«

Mas Pilato les decía: ¿Pues qué mal ha hecho? Y ellos daban más voces: Crucifícale.

Then Pilate said unto them, Why, what evil hath he done? And they cried out the more exceedingly, Crucify him.

Pilate said to them, “Why, what evil has he done?” But they cried out exceedingly, “Crucify him!”

Um nun dem Volke den Willen zu tun, gab Pilatus ihnen den Barabbas frei, Jesus aber ließ er geißeln und übergab ihn dann (den Soldaten) zur Kreuzigung.

Y Pilato, queriendo satisfacer al pueblo, les soltó á Barrabás, y entregó á Jesús, después de azotarle, para que fuese crucificado.

And so Pilate, willing to content the people, released Barabbas unto them, and delivered Jesus, when he had scourged him, to be crucified.

Pilate, wishing to please the multitude, released Barabbas to them, and handed over Jesus, when he had flogged him, to be crucified.

Nun führten ihn die Soldaten ab in das Innere des Palastes – das ist nämlich die Statthalterei – und riefen die ganze Abteilung zusammen,

And the soldiers led him away into the hall, called Prætorium; and they call together the whole band.

dann legten sie ihm einen Purpur um, setzten ihm eine Dornenkrone auf, die sie geflochten hatten,

Dabei schlugen sie ihn mit einem Rohr aufs Haupt, spien ihn an, warfen sich vor ihm auf die Knie nieder und brachten ihm Huldigungen dar.

Y le herían en la cabeza con una caña, y escupían en él, y le adoraban hincadas las rodillas.

And they smote him on the head with a reed, and did spit upon him, and bowing their knees worshipped him.

a Nachdem sie ihn so verspottet hatten, nahmen sie ihm den Purpurmantel wieder ab und legten ihm seine eigenen Kleider an. b Dann führten sie ihn zur Kreuzigung (aus der Stadt) hinaus

Y cuando le hubieron escarnecido, le desnudaron la púrpura, y le vistieron sus propios vestidos, y le sacaron para crucificarle.

And when they had mocked him, they took off the purple from him, and put his own clothes on him, and led him out to crucify him.

und zwangen einen Vorübergehenden, Simon aus Cyrene, der vom Felde kam, den Vater Alexanders und des Rufus, ihm das Kreuz zu tragen.

Y cargaron á uno que pasaba, Simón Cireneo, padre de Alejandro y de Rufo, que venía del campo, para que llevase su cruz.

And they compel one Simon a Cyrenian, who passed by, coming out of the country, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to bear his cross.

They compelled one passing by, coming from the country, Simon of Cyrene, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to go with them that he might bear his cross.

So brachten sie ihn nach dem Platz Golgatha, das bedeutet übersetzt ›Schädel(stätte)‹,

Y le llevan al lugar de Gólgotha, que declarado quiere decir: Lugar de la Calavera.

And they bring him unto the place Golgotha, which is, being interpreted, The place of a skull.

und reichten ihm mit Myrrhe gewürzten Wein, den er aber nicht nahm.

Y le dieron á beber vino mezclado con mirra; mas él no lo tomó.

And they gave him to drink wine mingled with myrrh: but he received it not.

They offered him wine mixed with myrrh to drink, but he didn’t take it.

Dann kreuzigten sie ihn und verteilten seine Kleider unter sich, indem sie das Los um sie warfen, welches Stück jeder erhalten sollte.

Y cuando le hubieron crucificado, repartieron sus vestidos, echando suertes sobre ellos, qué llevaría cada uno.

And when they had crucified him, they parted his garments, casting lots upon them, what every man should take.

Es war aber die dritte Tagesstunde, als sie ihn kreuzigten;

Mit ihm kreuzigten sie auch zwei Räuber, den einen zu seiner Rechten, den anderen zu seiner Linken.

Y crucificaron con él dos ladrones, uno á su derecha, y el otro á su izquierda.

And with him they crucify two thieves; the one on his right hand, and the other on his left.

†So wurde das Schriftwort erfüllt, das da lautet: »Er ist unter die Gesetzlosen gerechnet worden.«

Und die Vorübergehenden schmähten ihn, schüttelten die Köpfe und riefen aus: »Ha du, der du den Tempel abbrichst und ihn in drei Tagen wieder aufbaust:

Y los que pasaban le denostaban, meneando sus cabezas, y diciendo: ¡Ah! tú que derribas el templo de Dios, y en tres días lo edificas,

And they that passed by railed on him, wagging their heads, and saying, Ah, thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days,

Those who passed by blasphemed him, wagging their heads and saying, “Ha! You who destroy the temple and build it in three days,

hilf dir selbst und steige vom Kreuz herab!«

Sálvate á ti mismo, y desciende de la cruz.

Save thyself, and come down from the cross.

Ebenso verhöhnten ihn auch die Hohenpriester untereinander samt den Schriftgelehrten mit den Worten: »Anderen hat er geholfen, sich selbst kann er nicht helfen!

Y de esta manera también los príncipes de los sacerdotes escarneciendo, decían unos á otros, con los escribas: A otros salvó, á sí mismo no se puede salvar.

Likewise also the chief priests mocking said among themselves with the scribes, He saved others; himself he cannot save.

Der Gottgesalbte, der König von Israel, steige jetzt vom Kreuz herab, damit wir es sehen und gläubig werden!« Auch die (beiden) mit ihm Gekreuzigten schmähten ihn.

El Cristo, Rey de Israel, descienda ahora de la cruz, para que veamos y creamos. También los que estaban crucificados con él le denostaban.

Let Christ the King of Israel descend now from the cross, that we may see and believe. And they that were crucified with him reviled him.

Als dann aber die sechste Stunde gekommen war, trat eine Finsternis über das ganze Land ein bis zur neunten Stunde;

And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

Als dies einige von den Dabeistehenden hörten, sagten sie: »Hört, er ruft den Elia!«

And some of them that stood by, when they heard it, said, Behold, he calleth Elias.

Da lief einer hin, tränkte einen Schwamm mit Essig, steckte ihn an ein Rohr und wollte ihm zu trinken geben, wobei er sagte: »Laßt mich! Wir wollen doch sehen, ob Elia kommt, um ihn herabzunehmen!«

Y corrió uno, y empapando una esponja en vinagre, y poniéndola en una caña, le dió á beber, diciendo: Dejad, veamos si vendrá Elías á quitarle.

And one ran and filled a spunge full of vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink, saying, Let alone; let us see whether Elias will come to take him down.

One ran, and filling a sponge full of vinegar, put it on a reed and gave it to him to drink, saying, “Let him be. Let’s see whether Elijah comes to take him down.”

Jesus aber stieß noch einen lauten Schrei aus und verschied dann.

Y el centurión que estaba delante de él, viendo que había espirado así clamando, dijo: Verdaderamente este hombre era el Hijo de Dios.

And when the centurion, which stood over against him, saw that he so cried out, and gave up the ghost, he said, Truly this man was the Son of God.

Es waren aber auch Frauen da, die von weitem zuschauten, unter ihnen Maria von Magdala und Maria, die Mutter Jakobus des Kleinen und des Joses, und Salome,

Y también estaban algunas mujeres mirando de lejos; entre las cuales estaba María Magdalena, y María la madre de Jacobo el menor y de José, y Salomé;

There were also women looking on afar off: among whom was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the less and of Joses, and Salome;

Als es nun bereits Spätnachmittag geworden war – es war nämlich Rüsttag, das ist der Tag vor dem Sabbat –,

kam Joseph von Arimathäa, ein angesehener Ratsherr, der auch auf das Reich Gottes wartete, begab sich mit kühnem Entschluß zu Pilatus hinein und bat ihn um den Leichnam Jesu.

José de Arimatea, senador noble, que también esperaba el reino de Dios, vino, y osadamente entró á Pilato, y pidió el cuerpo de Jesús.

Joseph of Arimathaea, an honourable counsellor, which also waited for the kingdom of God, came, and went in boldly unto Pilate, and craved the body of Jesus.

Joseph of Arimathaea, a prominent council member who also himself was looking for God’s Kingdom, came. He boldly went in to Pilate, and asked for Jesus’ body.

Pilatus wunderte sich, daß er schon gestorben sein sollte; er ließ (deshalb) den Hauptmann zu sich rufen und fragte ihn, ob er schon lange tot sei;

Y Pilato se maravilló que ya fuese muerto; y haciendo venir al centurión, preguntóle si era ya muerto.

And Pilate marvelled if he were already dead: and calling unto him the centurion, he asked him whether he had been any while dead.

Pilate was surprised to hear that he was already dead; and summoning the centurion, he asked him whether he had been dead long.

und als er von dem Hauptmann das Nähere erfahren hatte, schenkte er den Leichnam dem Joseph.

Y enterado del centurión, dió el cuerpo á José:

And when he knew it of the centurion, he gave the body to Joseph.

When he found out from the centurion, he granted the body to Joseph.

Der kaufte nun Leinwand, nahm ihn (vom Kreuz) herab, wickelte ihn in die Leinwand und setzte ihn in einem Grabe bei, das in einen Felsen gehauen war; dann wälzte er einen Stein vor den Eingang des Grabes.

El cual compró una sábana, y quitándole, le envolvió en la sábana: y le puso en un sepulcro que estaba cavado en una peña; y revolvió una piedra á la puerta del sepulcro.

And he bought fine linen, and took him down, and wrapped him in the linen, and laid him in a sepulchre which was hewn out of a rock, and rolled a stone unto the door of the sepulchre.

He bought a linen cloth, and taking him down, wound him in the linen cloth and laid him in a tomb which had been cut out of a rock. He rolled a stone against the door of the tomb.

Maria von Magdala aber und Maria, die Mutter des Joses, sahen sich genau den Ort an, wohin er gelegt worden war.

Y María Magdalena, y María madre de José, miraban donde era puesto.

And Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joses beheld where he was laid.
