As it is written in the prophets, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.

A voz de alguém clamando no deserto: 'Preparai o caminho do Senhor, fazei retas as Suas veredas'";

dizendo: "O tempo é cumprido, e o reino de Deus está próximo. Arrependei-vos e credes no evangelho".

And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

Caminhando junto ao mar da Galileia, Ele viu Simão e André, irmão de Simão, lançando a rede ao mar, pois eram pescadores.

E ali, na sinagoga, estava um homem com um espírito imundo que gritou dizendo:

"O que temos nós contigo, Jesus de Nazaré? Vieste para nos destruir? Eu sei quem és. Tu és o Santo de Deus!".
Diciendo: ¡Ah! ¿qué tienes con nosotros, Jesús Nazareno? ¿Has venido á destruirnos? Sé quién eres, el Santo de Dios.
Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God.
saying, “Ha! What do we have to do with you, Jesus, you Nazarene? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are: the Holy One of God!”
Jesus repreendeu o demônio e disse: "Cala-te e sai dele!".
Y Jesús le riñó, diciendo: Enmudece, y sal de él.
And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him.

E o espírito imundo jogou-o no chão e saiu dele gritando em alta voz.
Y el espíritu inmundo, haciéndole pedazos, y clamando á gran voz, salió de él.
And when the unclean spirit had torn him, and cried with a loud voice, he came out of him.

Todas as pessoas estavam maravilhadas e perguntavam umas às outras: "O que é isso? Um novo ensinamento com autoridade? Ele ordena até os espíritos imundos, e eles O obedecem".
Y todos se maravillaron, de tal manera que inquirían entre sí, diciendo: ¿Qué es esto? ¿Qué nueva doctrina es ésta, que con potestad aun á los espíritus inmundos manda, y le obedecen?
And they were all amazed, insomuch that they questioned among themselves, saying, What thing is this? what new doctrine is this? for with authority commandeth he even the unclean spirits, and they do obey him.

Imediatamente a notícia acerca Dele espalhou-se em toda a região da Galileia.

A sogra de Simão estava deitada, enferma e com febre. E logo eles falaram a Jesus sobre ela.

Então Ele veio, segurou-a pela mão e a levantou; a febre a deixou, e ela começou a servi-los.
Entonces llegando él, la tomó de su mano y la levantó; y luego la dejó la calentura, y les servía.
And he came and took her by the hand, and lifted her up; and immediately the fever left her, and she ministered unto them.

Quando era noite, depois que o sol se pôs, eles Lhe trouxeram todos os que estavam doentes ou possuídos por demônios.
Y cuando fué la tarde, luego que el sol se puso, traían á él todos los que tenían mal, y endemoniados;
And at even, when the sun did set, they brought unto him all that were diseased, and them that were possessed with devils.
At evening, when the sun had set, they brought to him all who were sick and those who were possessed by demons.

Ele curou muitos que estavam doentes de várias enfermidades e expulsou muitos demônios. Mas não permitiu que os demônios falassem, porque eles O conheciam.
Y sanó á muchos que estaban enfermos de diversas enfermedades, y echó fuera muchos demonios; y no dejaba decir á los demonios que le conocían.
And he healed many that were sick of divers diseases, and cast out many devils; and suffered not the devils to speak, because they knew him.

Ele levantou-se muito cedo, enquanto ainda estava escuro; saiu, foi para um lugar solitário e ali orou.
Y levantándose muy de mañana, aun muy de noche, salió y se fué á un lugar desierto, y allí oraba.
And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.

Simão e aqueles que estavam com Ele O procuravam.
Y le siguió Simón, y los que estaban con él;
And Simon and they that were with him followed after him.

Eles O encontraram e disseram-Lhe: "Todos estão procurando por Ti".
Y hallándole, le dicen: Todos te buscan.
And when they had found him, they said unto him, All men seek for thee.
They found him and told him, “Everyone is looking for you.”
Ele lhes disse: "Vamos para outros lugares, para as cidades vizinhas, para que Eu pregue lá também. É isso que Eu vim fazer aqui".
Y les dice: Vamos á los lugares vecinos, para que predique también allí; porque para esto he venido.
And he said unto them, Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also: for therefore came I forth.
He said to them, “Let’s go elsewhere into the next towns, that I may preach there also, because I came out for this reason.”
Ele foi por toda Galileia, pregando em suas sinagogas e expulsando os demônios.
Y predicaba en las sinagogas de ellos en toda Galilea, y echaba fuera los demonios.
And he preached in their synagogues throughout all Galilee, and cast out devils.
He went into their synagogues throughout all Galilee, preaching and casting out demons.
Um leproso veio até Ele e Lhe suplicava de joelhos. Ele disse a Jesus: "Se Tu quiseres, podes me tornar limpo".
Y un leproso vino á él, rogándole; é hincada la rodilla, le dice: Si quieres, puedes limpiarme.
And there came a leper to him, beseeching him, and kneeling down to him, and saying unto him, If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.
A leper came to him, begging him, kneeling down to him, and saying to him, “If you want to, you can make me clean.”
Movido de compaixão, Jesus estendeu a sua mão e o tocou, dizendo-lhe: "Eu quero. Sê limpo".
Y Jesús, teniendo misericordia de él, extendió su mano, y le tocó, y le dice: Quiero, sé limpio.
And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean.
Being moved with compassion, he stretched out his hand, and touched him, and said to him, “I want to. Be made clean.”
Imediatamente a lepra o deixou, e ele ficou limpo.
Y así que hubo él hablado, la lepra se fué luego de aquél, y fué limpio.
And as soon as he had spoken, immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was cleansed.
When he had said this, immediately the leprosy departed from him and he was made clean.
Jesus advertiu-o severamente e o mandou embora,
Entonces le apercibió, y despidióle luego,
And he straitly charged him, and forthwith sent him away;
He strictly warned him and immediately sent him out,
dizendo-lhe: "Olha, não digas nada a ninguém, mas vai e apresenta-te ao sacerdote e oferece pela tua purificação o que Moisés ordenou, como testemunho para eles".
Y le dice: Mira, no digas á nadie nada; sino ve, muéstrate al sacerdote, y ofrece por tu limpieza lo que Moisés mandó, para testimonio á ellos.
And saith unto him, See thou say nothing to any man: but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing those things which Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.
and said to him, “See that you say nothing to anybody, but go show yourself to the priest and offer for your cleansing the things which Moses commanded, for a testimony to them.”
Mas ele saiu e começou a proclamar a todos e espalhou a notícia, de tal maneira que Jesus não podia entrar livremente em qualquer cidade. Ele tinha que ficar em lugares desabitados, mas mesmo assim as pessoas vinham a Ele de todos os lugares.
Mas él salido, comenzó á publicarlo mucho, y á divulgar el hecho, de manera que ya Jesús no podía entrar manifiestamente en la ciudad, sino que estaba fuera en los lugares desiertos; y venían á él de todas partes.
But he went out, and began to publish it much, and to blaze abroad the matter, insomuch that Jesus could no more openly enter into the city, but was without in desert places: and they came to him from every quarter.
But he went out, and began to proclaim it much, and to spread about the matter, so that Jesus could no more openly enter into a city, but was outside in desert places. People came to him from everywhere.
