Aqui começa a boa notícia de Jesus Cristo, o Filho de Deus.

PRINCIPIO del evangelio de Jesucristo, Hijo de Dios.

The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God;

The beginning of the Good News of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

Como está escrito no profeta Isaías: “Vou enviar o meu mensageiro, que irá antes de mim para preparar o caminho”.

Como está escrito en Isaías el profeta: He aquí yo envío á mi mensajero delante de tu faz, que apareje tu camino delante de ti.

As it is written in the prophets, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.

As it is written in the prophets, “Behold, I send my messenger before your face, who will prepare your way before you:

“Estou ouvindo uma voz que clama no deserto: ‘Preparem um caminho para o Senhor; preparem um caminho reto e plano para o nosso Deus’ ”.

Voz del que clama en el desierto: Aparejad el camino del Señor; enderezad sus veredas.

The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.

the voice of one crying in the wilderness, ‘Make ready the way of the Lord! Make his paths straight!’”

Esse mensageiro foi João Batista. Ele batizava no deserto e ensinava que todos deviam ser batizados, como demonstração pública da sua decisão de voltar as costas para o pecado, para que Deus os perdoasse.

Bautizaba Juan en el desierto, y predicaba el bautismo del arrepentimiento para remisión de pecados.

John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.

John came baptizing in the wilderness and preaching the baptism of repentance for forgiveness of sins.

Gente de Jerusalém e de toda a Judeia ia para os lugares desertos da Judeia, para ver e ouvir João; e quando confessavam seus pecados, ele os batizava no rio Jordão.

Y salía á él toda la provincia de Judea, y los de Jerusalem; y eran todos bautizados por él en el río de Jordán, confesando sus pecados.

And there went out unto him all the land of Judæa, and they of Jerusalem, and were all baptized of him in the river of Jordan, confessing their sins.

All the country of Judea and all those of Jerusalem went out to him. They were baptized by him in the Jordan river, confessing their sins.

A roupa de João era tecida de pelo de camelo, e ele usava um cinto de couro; gafanhotos e mel do campo eram a sua comida.

Y Juan andaba vestido de pelos de camello, y con un cinto de cuero alrededor de sus lomos; y comía langostas y miel silvestre.

And John was clothed with camel’s hair, and with a girdle of a skin about his loins; and he did eat locusts and wild honey;

John was clothed with camel’s hair and a leather belt around his waist. He ate locusts and wild honey.

Esta era a sua mensagem: “Em breve chegará alguém que é muito mais importante do que eu, tanto que não sou digno de abaixar-me e desamarrar as correias das suas sandálias.

Y predicaba, diciendo: Viene tras mí el que es más poderoso que yo, al cual no soy digno de desatar encorvado la correa de sus zapatos.

And preached, saying, There cometh one mightier than I after me, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to stoop down and unloose.

He preached, saying, “After me comes he who is mightier than I, the strap of whose sandals I am not worthy to stoop down and loosen.

Eu batizo vocês com água, porém ele os batizará com o Espírito Santo!”

Yo á la verdad os he bautizado con agua; mas él os bautizará con Espíritu Santo.

I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost.

I baptized you in water, but he will baptize you in the Holy Spirit.”

Então, num daqueles dias Jesus veio de Nazaré da Galileia, e foi batizado por João no rio Jordão.

Y aconteció en aquellos días, que Jesús vino de Nazaret de Galilea, y fué bautizado por Juan en el Jordán.

And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of John in Jordan.

No momento em que Jesus saiu da água, viu os céus abertos e o Espírito Santo na forma de uma pomba descendo sobre ele.

Y luego, subiendo del agua, vió abrirse los cielos, y al Espíritu como paloma, que descendía sobre él.

And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him:

Immediately coming up from the water, he saw the heavens parting and the Spirit descending on him like a dove.

Uma voz dos céus disse: “Você é meu Filho amado. Você é minha alegria”.

Y hubo una voz de los cielos que decía: Tú eres mi Hijo amado; en ti tomo contentamiento.

And there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

A voice came out of the sky, “You are my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”

Logo depois o Espírito levou Jesus para o deserto,

Y luego el Espíritu le impele al desierto.

And immediately the Spirit driveth him into the wilderness.

Immediately the Spirit drove him out into the wilderness.

onde ficou por quarenta dias, sozinho, em meio aos animais selvagens. Ali, ele foi submetido às tentações de Satanás. E os anjos vieram e cuidaram dele.

Y estuvo allí en el desierto cuarenta días, y era tentado de Satanás; y estaba con las fieras; y los ángeles le servían.

And he was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted of Satan; and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered unto him.

He was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted by Satan. He was with the wild animals; and the angels were serving him.

Mais tarde, depois que João foi preso, Jesus foi para a Galileia, a fim de pregar as boas-novas de Deus.

Mas después que Juan fué encarcelado, Jesús vino á Galilea predicando el evangelio del reino de Dios,

Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,

Now after John was taken into custody, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the Good News of God’s Kingdom,

“Finalmente chegou o tempo!” anunciava ele. “O Reino de Deus está próximo! Arrependam-se dos seus pecados e creiam nesta gloriosa mensagem!”

Y diciendo: El tiempo es cumplido, y el reino de Dios está cerca: arrepentíos, y creed al evangelio.

And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and God’s Kingdom is at hand! Repent, and believe in the Good News.”

Um dia, quando Jesus estava andando ao longo da praia do mar da Galileia, viu Simão e seu irmão André, lançando as suas redes, pois eram pescadores por profissão.

Y pasando junto á la mar de Galilea, vió á Simón, y á Andrés su hermano, que echaban la red en la mar; porque eran pescadores.

Now as he walked by the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew his brother casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.

Passing along by the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew, the brother of Simon, casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen.

Jesus os chamou: “Venham, sigam-me! E farei de vocês pescadores de homens!”

Y les dijo Jesús: Venid en pos de mí, y haré que seáis pescadores de hombres.

And Jesus said unto them, Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men.

Jesus said to them, “Come after me, and I will make you into fishers for men.”

No mesmo momento eles deixaram as redes e o seguiram.

Y luego, dejadas sus redes, le siguieron.

And straightway they forsook their nets, and followed him.

Immediately they left their nets, and followed him.

Um pouco mais adiante, na praia, ele viu os filhos de Zebedeu, Tiago e João, em um barco remendando as redes.

Y pasando de allí un poco más adelante, vió á Jacobo, hijo de Zebedeo, y á Juan su hermano, también ellos en el navío, que aderezaban las redes.

And when he had gone a little further thence, he saw James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, who also were in the ship mending their nets.

Going on a little further from there, he saw James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, who were also in the boat mending the nets.

Jesus chamou os dois, e imediatamente eles deixaram o pai Zebedeu no barco com os empregados e seguiram a Jesus.

Y luego los llamó: y dejando á su padre Zebedeo en el barco con los jornaleros, fueron en pos de él.

And straightway he called them: and they left their father Zebedee in the ship with the hired servants, and went after him.

Immediately he called them, and they left their father, Zebedee, in the boat with the hired servants, and went after him.

Jesus e seus companheiros chegaram à cidade de Cafarnaum, e no sábado de manhã foram à sinagoga e ali começou a ensinar.

Y entraron en Capernaum; y luego los sábados, entrando en la sinagoga, enseñaba.

And they went into Capernaum; and straightway on the sabbath day he entered into the synagogue, and taught.

They went into Capernaum, and immediately on the Sabbath day he entered into the synagogue and taught.

Todos ficaram admirados com o seu ensino, porque ele falava com autoridade, e não como os mestres da lei!

Y se admiraban de su doctrina; porque les enseñaba como quien tiene potestad, y no como los escribas.

And they were astonished at his doctrine: for he taught them as one that had authority, and not as the scribes.

They were astonished at his teaching, for he taught them as having authority, and not as the scribes.

Achava-se presente ali um homem possesso de um espírito imundo, que começou a gritar:

Y había en la sinagoga de ellos un hombre con espíritu inmundo, el cual dió voces,

And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out,

Immediately there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit, and he cried out,

“Por que o Senhor está nos incomodando, Jesus de Nazaré? Veio para nos destruir? Sei quem é o Senhor: o santo de Deus!”

Diciendo: ¡Ah! ¿qué tienes con nosotros, Jesús Nazareno? ¿Has venido á destruirnos? Sé quién eres, el Santo de Dios.

Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God.

saying, “Ha! What do we have to do with you, Jesus, you Nazarene? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are: the Holy One of God!”

Jesus repreendeu o espírito imundo: “Cale-se e saia desse homem”.

Y Jesús le riñó, diciendo: Enmudece, y sal de él.

And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him.

Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be quiet, and come out of him!”

O espírito imundo deu um grito forte, agitou violentamente o homem e saiu dele.

Y el espíritu inmundo, haciéndole pedazos, y clamando á gran voz, salió de él.

And when the unclean spirit had torn him, and cried with a loud voice, he came out of him.

The unclean spirit, convulsing him and crying with a loud voice, came out of him.

O espanto tomou conta de todos, e eles começaram a discutir o que tinha acontecido: “O que é isto? É um ensinamento novo com autoridade! Imaginem, até os espíritos imundos obedecem às ordens dele!”

Y todos se maravillaron, de tal manera que inquirían entre sí, diciendo: ¿Qué es esto? ¿Qué nueva doctrina es ésta, que con potestad aun á los espíritus inmundos manda, y le obedecen?

And they were all amazed, insomuch that they questioned among themselves, saying, What thing is this? what new doctrine is this? for with authority commandeth he even the unclean spirits, and they do obey him.

They were all amazed, so that they questioned among themselves, saying, “What is this? What can this new doctrine be? For with authority he commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey him!”

A notícia a respeito dele espalhou-se rapidamente por toda a região da Galileia.

Y vino luego su fama por toda la provincia alrededor de Galilea.

And immediately his fame spread abroad throughout all the region round about Galilee.

The report of him went out immediately into all the region of Galilee and its surrounding area.

Depois, quando saíram da sinagoga, ele e os seus discípulos foram para a casa de Simão e André,

Y luego saliendo de la sinagoga, vinieron á casa de Simón y de Andrés, con Jacobo y Juan.

And forthwith, when they were come out of the synagogue, they entered into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John.

Immediately, when they had come out of the synagogue, they came into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John.

onde encontraram a sogra de Simão doente, de cama, com febre. Imediatamente falaram a Jesus a respeito dela.

Y la suegra de Simón estaba acostada con calentura; y le hablaron luego de ella.

But Simon’s wife’s mother lay sick of a fever, and anon they tell him of her.

Now Simon’s wife’s mother lay sick with a fever, and immediately they told him about her.

Ele foi para o lado da cama dela, tomou a sua mão e a ajudou a levantar-se. A febre a deixou, e ela começou a servir a todos.

Entonces llegando él, la tomó de su mano y la levantó; y luego la dejó la calentura, y les servía.

And he came and took her by the hand, and lifted her up; and immediately the fever left her, and she ministered unto them.

He came and took her by the hand and raised her up. The fever left her immediately, and she served them.

Quando o sol se pôs, o povo levou os doentes e os endemoninhados a Jesus para serem curados;

Y cuando fué la tarde, luego que el sol se puso, traían á él todos los que tenían mal, y endemoniados;

And at even, when the sun did set, they brought unto him all that were diseased, and them that were possessed with devils.

At evening, when the sun had set, they brought to him all who were sick and those who were possessed by demons.

uma enorme multidão da cidade de Cafarnaum juntou-se do lado de fora da porta.

Y toda la ciudad se juntó á la puerta.

And all the city was gathered together at the door.

All the city was gathered together at the door.

Então, naquela noite Jesus curou um grande número de pessoas doentes e expulsou muitos demônios. Ele não deixava que os demônios falassem, porque sabiam quem ele era.

Y sanó á muchos que estaban enfermos de diversas enfermedades, y echó fuera muchos demonios; y no dejaba decir á los demonios que le conocían.

And he healed many that were sick of divers diseases, and cast out many devils; and suffered not the devils to speak, because they knew him.

He healed many who were sick with various diseases and cast out many demons. He didn’t allow the demons to speak, because they knew him.

No outro dia de manhã Jesus se levantou antes do amanhecer, e foi sozinho a um lugar deserto para orar.

Y levantándose muy de mañana, aun muy de noche, salió y se fué á un lugar desierto, y allí oraba.

And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.

Early in the morning, while it was still dark, he rose up and went out, and departed into a deserted place, and prayed there.

Mais tarde, Simão e os outros saíram para procurá-lo

Y le siguió Simón, y los que estaban con él;

And Simon and they that were with him followed after him.

Simon and those who were with him searched for him.

e ao encontrá-lo disseram: “Todos estão perguntando pelo Senhor”.

Y hallándole, le dicen: Todos te buscan.

And when they had found him, they said unto him, All men seek for thee.

They found him and told him, “Everyone is looking for you.”

Porém, ele respondeu: “Devemos prosseguir para outros lugares aqui por perto, e apresentar-lhes também a minha mensagem, porque foi para isso que eu vim”.

Y les dice: Vamos á los lugares vecinos, para que predique también allí; porque para esto he venido.

And he said unto them, Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also: for therefore came I forth.

He said to them, “Let’s go elsewhere into the next towns, that I may preach there also, because I came out for this reason.”

Então ele viajava por toda a província da Galileia, pregando nas sinagogas e libertando muitos do poder dos demônios.

Y predicaba en las sinagogas de ellos en toda Galilea, y echaba fuera los demonios.

And he preached in their synagogues throughout all Galilee, and cast out devils.

He went into their synagogues throughout all Galilee, preaching and casting out demons.

Um leproso veio, ajoelhou-se diante dele e suplicou: “Se o Senhor quiser, pode curar-me”.

Y un leproso vino á él, rogándole; é hincada la rodilla, le dice: Si quieres, puedes limpiarme.

And there came a leper to him, beseeching him, and kneeling down to him, and saying unto him, If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.

A leper came to him, begging him, kneeling down to him, and saying to him, “If you want to, you can make me clean.”

E Jesus, levado pela compaixão, estendeu a mão, tocou nele e disse: “Sim, eu quero! Seja curado!”

Y Jesús, teniendo misericordia de él, extendió su mano, y le tocó, y le dice: Quiero, sé limpio.

And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean.

Being moved with compassion, he stretched out his hand, and touched him, and said to him, “I want to. Be made clean.”

Imediatamente a lepra desapareceu e o homem ficou curado!

Y así que hubo él hablado, la lepra se fué luego de aquél, y fué limpio.

And as soon as he had spoken, immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was cleansed.

When he had said this, immediately the leprosy departed from him and he was made clean.

Jesus então lhe disse energicamente:

Entonces le apercibió, y despidióle luego,

And he straitly charged him, and forthwith sent him away;

He strictly warned him and immediately sent him out,

“Vá pedir para o sacerdote que examine você. Não pare pelo caminho para falar com ninguém. Leve com você a oferta que Moisés mandou que um leproso apresentasse, para que sirva de testemunho”.

Y le dice: Mira, no digas á nadie nada; sino ve, muéstrate al sacerdote, y ofrece por tu limpieza lo que Moisés mandó, para testimonio á ellos.

And saith unto him, See thou say nothing to any man: but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing those things which Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.

and said to him, “See that you say nothing to anybody, but go show yourself to the priest and offer for your cleansing the things which Moses commanded, for a testimony to them.”

Mas enquanto o homem seguia pelo caminho, começou a espalhar a boa-nova de que estava curado. Por isso, grandes multidões logo cercaram Jesus; ele não podia entrar publicamente em qualquer cidade, tendo de ficar fora, nos lugares desertos. E de toda parte vinha gente encontrar-se com ele ali.

Mas él salido, comenzó á publicarlo mucho, y á divulgar el hecho, de manera que ya Jesús no podía entrar manifiestamente en la ciudad, sino que estaba fuera en los lugares desiertos; y venían á él de todas partes.

But he went out, and began to publish it much, and to blaze abroad the matter, insomuch that Jesus could no more openly enter into the city, but was without in desert places: and they came to him from every quarter.

But he went out, and began to proclaim it much, and to spread about the matter, so that Jesus could no more openly enter into a city, but was outside in desert places. People came to him from everywhere.
