1Und nach etlichen Tagen ging er wiederum hinein nach Kapernaum, und es wurde ruchbar, daß er im Hause sei.
2Und alsbald versammelten sich viele, so daß selbst an der Tür nicht mehr Raum war; und er redete zu ihnen das Wort.
3Und sie kommen zu ihm und bringen einen Gelähmten, von vieren getragen.
4Und da sie wegen der Volksmenge nicht nahe zu ihm kommen konnten, deckten sie das Dach ab, wo er war; und als sie es aufgebrochen hatten, ließen sie das Ruhebett hinab, auf welchem der Gelähmte lag.
5Als Jesus aber ihren Glauben sah, spricht er zu dem Gelähmten: Kind, deine Sünden sind vergeben.
6Etliche aber von den Schriftgelehrten saßen daselbst und überlegten in ihren Herzen:
7Was redet dieser also? Er lästert. Wer kann Sünden vergeben, als nur einer, Gott?
8Und alsbald erkannte Jesus in seinem Geiste, daß sie also bei sich überlegten, und sprach zu ihnen: Was überleget ihr dies in euren Herzen?
9Was ist leichter, zu dem Gelähmten zu sagen: Deine Sünden sind vergeben, oder zu sagen: Stehe auf, nimm dein Ruhebett auf und wandle?
10Auf daß ihr aber wisset, daß der Sohn des Menschen Gewalt hat auf der Erde Sünden zu vergeben... spricht er zu dem Gelähmten:
11Ich sage dir, stehe auf, nimm dein Ruhebett auf und geh nach deinem Hause.
12Und alsbald stand er auf, nahm das Ruhebett auf und ging hinaus vor allen, so daß alle außer sich gerieten und Gott verherrlichten und sagten: Niemals haben wir es also gesehen!
13Und er ging wiederum hinaus an den See, und die ganze Volksmenge kam zu ihm, und er lehrte sie.
14Und als er vorüberging, sah er Levi, den Sohn des Alphäus, am Zollhause sitzen, und er spricht zu ihm: Folge mir nach; und er stand auf und folgte ihm nach.
15Und es geschah, als er in seinem Hause zu Tische lag, daß viele Zöllner und Sünder zu Tische lagen mit Jesu und seinen Jüngern; denn es waren ihrer viele, und sie folgten ihm nach.
16Und als die Schriftgelehrten und die Pharisäer ihn mit den Sündern und Zöllnern essen sahen, sprachen sie zu seinen Jüngern: Warum ißt und trinkt er mit den Zöllnern und Sündern?
17Und als Jesus es hörte, spricht er zu ihnen: Die Starken bedürfen nicht eines Arztes, sondern die Kranken. Ich bin nicht gekommen, Gerechte zu rufen, sondern Sünder.
18Und die Jünger Johannes' und die Pharisäer fasteten; und sie kommen und sagen zu ihm: Warum fasten die Jünger Johannes' und die Jünger der Pharisäer, deine Jünger aber fasten nicht?
19Und Jesus sprach zu ihnen: Können etwa die Gefährten des Bräutigams fasten, während der Bräutigam bei ihnen ist? So lange sie den Bräutigam bei sich haben, können sie nicht fasten.
20Es werden aber Tage kommen, da der Bräutigam von ihnen weggenommen sein wird, und dann, an jenem Tage, werden sie fasten.
21Niemand näht einen Flicken von neuem Tuch auf ein altes Kleid; sonst reißt das Eingesetzte von ihm ab, das neue vom alten, und der Riß wird ärger.
22Auch tut niemand neuen Wein in alte Schläuche; sonst zerreißt der Wein die Schläuche, und der Wein wird verschüttet, und die Schläuche verderben; sondern neuen Wein muß man in neue Schläuche tun.
23Und es geschah, daß er am Sabbath durch die Saaten ging; und seine Jünger fingen an, im Gehen die Ähren abzupflücken.
24Und die Pharisäer sprachen zu ihm: Siehe, was tun sie am Sabbath, das nicht erlaubt ist?
25Und er sprach zu ihnen: Habt ihr nie gelesen, was David tat, als er Mangel hatte und als ihn und die bei ihm waren, hungerte?
26Wie er in das Haus Gottes ging unter Abjathar, dem Hohenpriester, und die Schaubrote aß (welche niemand essen darf, als nur die Priester), und auch denen gab, die bei ihm waren?
27Und er sprach zu ihnen: Der Sabbath ward um des Menschen willen, nicht der Mensch um des Sabbaths willen;
28also ist der Sohn des Menschen Herr auch des Sabbaths.

1Y ENTRÓ otra vez en Capernaum después de algunos días, y se oyó que estaba en casa.
2Y luego se juntaron á él muchos, que ya no cabían ni aun á la puerta; y les predicaba la palabra.
3Entonces vinieron á él unos trayendo un paralítico, que era traído por cuatro.
4Y como no podían llegar á él á causa del gentío, descubrieron el techo de donde estaba, y haciendo abertura, bajaron el lecho en que yacía el paralítico.
5Y viendo Jesús la fe de ellos, dice al paralítico: Hijo, tus pecados te son perdonados.
6Y estaban allí sentados algunos de los escribas, los cuales pensando en sus corazones,
7Decían: ¿Por qué habla éste así? Blasfemias dice. ¿Quién puede perdonar pecados, sino solo Dios?
8Y conociendo luego Jesús en su espíritu que pensaban así dentro de sí mismos, les dijo: ¿Por qué pensáis estas cosas en vuestros corazones?
9¿Qué es más fácil, decir al paralítico: Tus pecados te son perdonados, ó decirle: Levántate, y toma tu lecho y anda?
10Pues para que sepáis que el Hijo del hombre tiene potestad en la tierra de perdonar los pecados, (dice al paralítico):
11A ti te digo: Levántate, y toma tu lecho, y vete á tu casa.
12Entonces él se levantó luego, y tomando su lecho, se salió delante de todos, de manera que todos se asombraron, y glorificaron á Dios, diciendo: Nunca tal hemos visto.
13Y volvió á salir á la mar, y toda la gente venía á él, y los enseñaba.
14Y pasando, vió á Leví, hijo de Alfeo, sentado al banco de los públicos tributos, y le dice: Sígueme. Y levantándose le siguió.
15Y aconteció que estando Jesús á la mesa en casa de él, muchos publicanos y pecadores estaban también á la mesa juntamente con Jesús y con sus discípulos: porque había muchos, y le habían seguido.
16Y los escribas y los Fariseos, viéndole comer con los publicanos y con los pecadores, dijeron á sus discípulos: ¿Qué es esto, que él come y bebe con los publicanos y con los pecadores?
17Y oyéndolo Jesús, les dice: Los sanos no tienen necesidad de médico, mas los que tienen mal. No he venido á llamar á los justos, sino á los pecadores.
18Y los discípulos de Juan, y de los Fariseos ayunaban; y vienen, y le dicen: ¿Por qué los discípulos de Juan y los de los Fariseos ayunan, y tus discípulos no ayunan?
19Y Jesús les dice: ¿Pueden ayunar los que están de bodas, cuando el esposo está con ellos? Entre tanto que tienen consigo al esposo no pueden ayunar.
20Mas vendrán días, cuando el esposo les será quitado, y entonces en aquellos días ayunarán.
21Nadie echa remiendo de paño recio en vestido viejo; de otra manera el mismo remiendo nuevo tira del viejo, y la rotura se hace peor.
22Ni nadie echa vino nuevo en odres viejos; de otra manera, el vino nuevo rompe los odres, y se derrama el vino, y los odres se pierden; mas el vino nuevo en odres nuevos se ha de echar.
23Y aconteció que pasando él por los sembrados en sábado, sus discípulos andando comenzaron á arrancar espigas.
24Entonces los Fariseos le dijeron: He aquí, ¿por qué hacen en sábado lo que no es lícito?
25Y él les dijo: ¿Nunca leísteis qué hizo David cuando tuvo necesidad, y tuvo hambre, él y los que con él estaban:
26Cómo entró en la casa de Dios, siendo Abiathar sumo pontífice, y comió los panes de la proposición, de los cuales no es lícito comer sino á los sacerdotes, y aun dió á los que con él estaban?
27También les dijo: El sábado por causa del hombre es hecho; no el hombre por causa del sábado.
28Así que el Hijo del hombre es Señor aun del sábado.

1And again he entered into Capernaum after some days; and it was noised that he was in the house.
2And straightway many were gathered together, insomuch that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door: and he preached the word unto them.
3And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four.
4And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay.
5When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.
6But there were certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts,
7Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only?
8And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts?
9Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk?
10But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,)
11I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house.
12And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion.
13And he went forth again by the sea side; and all the multitude resorted unto him, and he taught them.
14And as he passed by, he saw Levi the son of Alphæus sitting at the receipt of custom, and said unto him, Follow me. And he arose and followed him.
15And it came to pass, that, as Jesus sat at meat in his house, many publicans and sinners sat also together with Jesus and his disciples: for there were many, and they followed him.
16And when the scribes and Pharisees saw him eat with publicans and sinners, they said unto his disciples, How is it that he eateth and drinketh with publicans and sinners?
17When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
18And the disciples of John and of the Pharisees used to fast: and they come and say unto him, Why do the disciples of John and of the Pharisees fast, but thy disciples fast not?
19And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them? as long as they have the bridegroom with them, they cannot fast.
20But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then shall they fast in those days.
21No man also seweth a piece of new cloth on an old garment: else the new piece that filled it up taketh away from the old, and the rent is made worse.
22And no man putteth new wine into old bottles: else the new wine doth burst the bottles, and the wine is spilled, and the bottles will be marred: but new wine must be put into new bottles.
23And it came to pass, that he went through the corn fields on the sabbath day; and his disciples began, as they went, to pluck the ears of corn.
24And the Pharisees said unto him, Behold, why do they on the sabbath day that which is not lawful?
25And he said unto them, Have ye never read what David did, when he had need, and was an hungred, he, and they that were with him?
26How he went into the house of God in the days of Abiathar the high priest, and did eat the shewbread, which is not lawful to eat but for the priests, and gave also to them which were with him?
27And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:
28Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.

1When he entered again into Capernaum after some days, it was heard that he was at home.
2Immediately many were gathered together, so that there was no more room, not even around the door; and he spoke the word to them.
3Four people came, carrying a paralytic to him.
4When they could not come near to him for the crowd, they removed the roof where he was. When they had broken it up, they let down the mat that the paralytic was lying on.
5Jesus, seeing their faith, said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven you.”
6But there were some of the scribes sitting there and reasoning in their hearts,
7“Why does this man speak blasphemies like that? Who can forgive sins but God alone?”
8Immediately Jesus, perceiving in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, said to them, “Why do you reason these things in your hearts?
9Which is easier, to tell the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven;’ or to say, ‘Arise, and take up your bed, and walk’?
10But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”—he said to the paralytic—
11“I tell you, arise, take up your mat, and go to your house.”
12He arose, and immediately took up the mat and went out in front of them all, so that they were all amazed and glorified God, saying, “We never saw anything like this!”
13He went out again by the seaside. All the multitude came to him, and he taught them.
14As he passed by, he saw Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax office. He said to him, “Follow me.” And he arose and followed him.
15He was reclining at the table in his house, and many tax collectors and sinners sat down with Jesus and his disciples, for there were many, and they followed him.
16The scribes and the Pharisees, when they saw that he was eating with the sinners and tax collectors, said to his disciples, “Why is it that he eats and drinks with tax collectors and sinners?”
17When Jesus heard it, he said to them, “Those who are healthy have no need for a physician, but those who are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”
18John’s disciples and the Pharisees were fasting, and they came and asked him, “Why do John’s disciples and the disciples of the Pharisees fast, but your disciples don’t fast?”
19Jesus said to them, “Can the groomsmen fast while the bridegroom is with them? As long as they have the bridegroom with them, they can’t fast.
20But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast in that day.
21No one sews a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment, or else the patch shrinks and the new tears away from the old, and a worse hole is made.
22No one puts new wine into old wineskins; or else the new wine will burst the skins, and the wine pours out, and the skins will be destroyed; but they put new wine into fresh wineskins.”
23He was going on the Sabbath day through the grain fields; and his disciples began, as they went, to pluck the ears of grain.
24The Pharisees said to him, “Behold, why do they do that which is not lawful on the Sabbath day?”
25He said to them, “Did you never read what David did when he had need and was hungry—he, and those who were with him?
26How he entered into God’s house at the time of Abiathar the high priest, and ate the show bread, which is not lawful to eat except for the priests, and gave also to those who were with him?”
27He said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath.
28Therefore the Son of Man is lord even of the Sabbath.”
