Alguns dias depois ele voltou a Cafarnaum, e a notícia da sua chegada espalhou-se depressa pela cidade.

Y ENTRÓ otra vez en Capernaum después de algunos días, y se oyó que estaba en casa.

And again he entered into Capernaum after some days; and it was noised that he was in the house.

When he entered again into Capernaum after some days, it was heard that he was at home.

Logo a casa onde ele se achava ficou tão cheia que não havia lugar nem junto à porta. E Jesus pregava a palavra a eles.

Y luego se juntaron á él muchos, que ya no cabían ni aun á la puerta; y les predicaba la palabra.

And straightway many were gathered together, insomuch that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door: and he preached the word unto them.

Immediately many were gathered together, so that there was no more room, not even around the door; and he spoke the word to them.

Chegaram quatro homens carregando um paralítico numa esteira.

Entonces vinieron á él unos trayendo un paralítico, que era traído por cuatro.

And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four.

Four people came, carrying a paralytic to him.

Eles não podiam chegar até Jesus por causa da multidão, e por isso fizeram um buraco no teto por cima de onde estava Jesus, e fizeram descer o homem paralítico na esteira bem na frente dele.

Y como no podían llegar á él á causa del gentío, descubrieron el techo de donde estaba, y haciendo abertura, bajaron el lecho en que yacía el paralítico.

And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay.

When they could not come near to him for the crowd, they removed the roof where he was. When they had broken it up, they let down the mat that the paralytic was lying on.

Quando Jesus viu a fé tão intensa deles, disse ao paralítico: “Filho, os seus pecados estão perdoados!”

Y viendo Jesús la fe de ellos, dice al paralítico: Hijo, tus pecados te son perdonados.

When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.

Jesus, seeing their faith, said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven you.”

Mas alguns dos mestres da lei que estavam sentados ali pensavam no seu íntimo:

Y estaban allí sentados algunos de los escribas, los cuales pensando en sus corazones,

But there were certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts,

But there were some of the scribes sitting there and reasoning in their hearts,

“Isto é uma blasfêmia! Será que ele acha que é Deus? Quem pode perdoar pecados a não ser Deus?”

Decían: ¿Por qué habla éste así? Blasfemias dice. ¿Quién puede perdonar pecados, sino solo Dios?

Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only?

“Why does this man speak blasphemies like that? Who can forgive sins but God alone?”

Jesus logo percebeu em seu íntimo o que eles estavam pensando e lhes disse: “Por que isso está perturbando vocês?

Y conociendo luego Jesús en su espíritu que pensaban así dentro de sí mismos, les dijo: ¿Por qué pensáis estas cosas en vuestros corazones?

And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts?

Immediately Jesus, perceiving in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, said to them, “Why do you reason these things in your hearts?

O que é mais fácil dizer ao paralítico: ‘Os seus pecados estão perdoados’ ou ‘Levante-se, pegue a sua cama e ande’?

¿Qué es más fácil, decir al paralítico: Tus pecados te son perdonados, ó decirle: Levántate, y toma tu lecho y anda?

Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk?

Which is easier, to tell the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven;’ or to say, ‘Arise, and take up your bed, and walk’?

Mas, para que vocês saibam que o Filho do Homem tem autoridade na terra para perdoar pecados, disse ao paralítico:

Pues para que sepáis que el Hijo del hombre tiene potestad en la tierra de perdonar los pecados, (dice al paralítico):

But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,)

But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”—he said to the paralytic—

Eu digo a você: ‘Pegue a sua esteira e vá para casa!’ ”

A ti te digo: Levántate, y toma tu lecho, y vete á tu casa.

I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house.

“I tell you, arise, take up your mat, and go to your house.”

No mesmo instante o homem se levantou, pegou a sua esteira, e saiu diante de todos os presentes, que ficaram admirados e louvaram a Deus, dizendo: “Nunca vimos nada igual!”

Entonces él se levantó luego, y tomando su lecho, se salió delante de todos, de manera que todos se asombraron, y glorificaron á Dios, diciendo: Nunca tal hemos visto.

And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion.

He arose, and immediately took up the mat and went out in front of them all, so that they were all amazed and glorified God, saying, “We never saw anything like this!”

Logo depois Jesus saiu outra vez para a beira da praia, e ensinava a uma grande multidão que se reuniu em volta dele.

Y volvió á salir á la mar, y toda la gente venía á él, y los enseñaba.

And he went forth again by the sea side; and all the multitude resorted unto him, and he taught them.

He went out again by the seaside. All the multitude came to him, and he taught them.

Enquanto ele andava pela praia, viu Levi, filho de Alfeu, sentado no seu guichê de cobrança de impostos. “Siga-me”, disse-lhe Jesus. Levi levantou-se depressa e o seguiu.

Y pasando, vió á Leví, hijo de Alfeo, sentado al banco de los públicos tributos, y le dice: Sígueme. Y levantándose le siguió.

And as he passed by, he saw Levi the son of Alphæus sitting at the receipt of custom, and said unto him, Follow me. And he arose and followed him.

As he passed by, he saw Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax office. He said to him, “Follow me.” And he arose and followed him.

Naquela noite Levi convidou os colegas cobradores de impostos e muitos outros pecadores para um jantar, junto com Jesus e os seus discípulos, pois havia muitos que seguiam Jesus.

Y aconteció que estando Jesús á la mesa en casa de él, muchos publicanos y pecadores estaban también á la mesa juntamente con Jesús y con sus discípulos: porque había muchos, y le habían seguido.

And it came to pass, that, as Jesus sat at meat in his house, many publicans and sinners sat also together with Jesus and his disciples: for there were many, and they followed him.

He was reclining at the table in his house, and many tax collectors and sinners sat down with Jesus and his disciples, for there were many, and they followed him.

Mas quando os mestres da lei viram Jesus comendo com homens de má reputação e cobradores de impostos, perguntaram aos seus discípulos: “Como ele come com cobradores de impostos e pecadores?”

Y los escribas y los Fariseos, viéndole comer con los publicanos y con los pecadores, dijeron á sus discípulos: ¿Qué es esto, que él come y bebe con los publicanos y con los pecadores?

And when the scribes and Pharisees saw him eat with publicans and sinners, they said unto his disciples, How is it that he eateth and drinketh with publicans and sinners?

The scribes and the Pharisees, when they saw that he was eating with the sinners and tax collectors, said to his disciples, “Why is it that he eats and drinks with tax collectors and sinners?”

Quando Jesus soube o que eles estavam falando, disse-lhes: “Os doentes é que precisam de médico, e não os que gozam de saúde! Eu não vim chamar os justos, mas os pecadores”.

Y oyéndolo Jesús, les dice: Los sanos no tienen necesidad de médico, mas los que tienen mal. No he venido á llamar á los justos, sino á los pecadores.

When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

When Jesus heard it, he said to them, “Those who are healthy have no need for a physician, but those who are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”

Os discípulos de João e os fariseus estavam jejuando. Algumas pessoas vieram a Jesus e perguntaram: “Por que os discípulos de João e os discípulos dos fariseus jejuam, mas os seus não?”

Y los discípulos de Juan, y de los Fariseos ayunaban; y vienen, y le dicen: ¿Por qué los discípulos de Juan y los de los Fariseos ayunan, y tus discípulos no ayunan?

And the disciples of John and of the Pharisees used to fast: and they come and say unto him, Why do the disciples of John and of the Pharisees fast, but thy disciples fast not?

John’s disciples and the Pharisees were fasting, and they came and asked him, “Why do John’s disciples and the disciples of the Pharisees fast, but your disciples don’t fast?”

Jesus respondeu: “Como podem os amigos do noivo jejuar enquanto ele está com eles? Enquanto ele estiver com eles, certamente não jejuarão.

Y Jesús les dice: ¿Pueden ayunar los que están de bodas, cuando el esposo está con ellos? Entre tanto que tienen consigo al esposo no pueden ayunar.

And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them? as long as they have the bridegroom with them, they cannot fast.

Jesus said to them, “Can the groomsmen fast while the bridegroom is with them? As long as they have the bridegroom with them, they can’t fast.

Mas virá o dia em que o noivo será tirado deles, então jejuarão.

Mas vendrán días, cuando el esposo les será quitado, y entonces en aquellos días ayunarán.

But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then shall they fast in those days.

But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast in that day.

“Ninguém remenda uma roupa velha com um pedaço de pano novo! Porque o remendo repuxa e rasga a roupa velha, deixando um buraco.

Nadie echa remiendo de paño recio en vestido viejo; de otra manera el mismo remiendo nuevo tira del viejo, y la rotura se hace peor.

No man also seweth a piece of new cloth on an old garment: else the new piece that filled it up taketh away from the old, and the rent is made worse.

No one sews a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment, or else the patch shrinks and the new tears away from the old, and a worse hole is made.

É como se alguém pusesse vinho novo em odres velhos. Os odres velhos arrebentariam. O vinho se derramaria e os odres se estragariam. Vinho novo precisa de odres novos”.

Ni nadie echa vino nuevo en odres viejos; de otra manera, el vino nuevo rompe los odres, y se derrama el vino, y los odres se pierden; mas el vino nuevo en odres nuevos se ha de echar.

And no man putteth new wine into old bottles: else the new wine doth burst the bottles, and the wine is spilled, and the bottles will be marred: but new wine must be put into new bottles.

No one puts new wine into old wineskins; or else the new wine will burst the skins, and the wine pours out, and the skins will be destroyed; but they put new wine into fresh wineskins.”

Certo sábado, enquanto Jesus atravessava os campos de cereal, seus discípulos arrancavam espigas de trigo e comiam o grão.

Y aconteció que pasando él por los sembrados en sábado, sus discípulos andando comenzaron á arrancar espigas.

And it came to pass, that he went through the corn fields on the sabbath day; and his disciples began, as they went, to pluck the ears of corn.

He was going on the Sabbath day through the grain fields; and his disciples began, as they went, to pluck the ears of grain.

Alguns fariseus perguntaram a Jesus: “Por que os seus discípulos estão colhendo grãos, o que é proibido fazer no sábado?”

Entonces los Fariseos le dijeron: He aquí, ¿por qué hacen en sábado lo que no es lícito?

And the Pharisees said unto him, Behold, why do they on the sabbath day that which is not lawful?

The Pharisees said to him, “Behold, why do they do that which is not lawful on the Sabbath day?”

Mas Jesus respondeu: “Vocês nunca leram o que o rei Davi e os companheiros dele fizeram quando estavam com fome?

Y él les dijo: ¿Nunca leísteis qué hizo David cuando tuvo necesidad, y tuvo hambre, él y los que con él estaban:

And he said unto them, Have ye never read what David did, when he had need, and was an hungred, he, and they that were with him?

He said to them, “Did you never read what David did when he had need and was hungry—he, and those who were with him?

Nos tempos do sumo sacerdote Abiatar, Davi entrou na casa de Deus e comeu o pão especial, que só os sacerdotes tinham permissão de comer, e os deu também aos seus companheiros”.

Cómo entró en la casa de Dios, siendo Abiathar sumo pontífice, y comió los panes de la proposición, de los cuales no es lícito comer sino á los sacerdotes, y aun dió á los que con él estaban?

How he went into the house of God in the days of Abiathar the high priest, and did eat the shewbread, which is not lawful to eat but for the priests, and gave also to them which were with him?

How he entered into God’s house at the time of Abiathar the high priest, and ate the show bread, which is not lawful to eat except for the priests, and gave also to those who were with him?”

E Jesus concluiu: “O sábado foi feito por causa do homem, e não o homem por causa do sábado.

También les dijo: El sábado por causa del hombre es hecho; no el hombre por causa del sábado.

And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:

He said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath.

Assim, pois, o Filho do Homem tem autoridade até mesmo sobre o dia de sábado!”

Así que el Hijo del hombre es Señor aun del sábado.

Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.

Therefore the Son of Man is lord even of the Sabbath.”
