Como era el día de reposo, quienes querían acusar a Jesús lo vigilaban para ver si se atrevería a curar al enfermo.
Y le acechaban si en sábado le sanaría, para acusarle.

Jesús le pidió al hombre que tenía la mano paralizada que se parara frente a todos.
Entonces dijo al hombre que tenía la mano seca: Levántate en medio.
And he saith unto the man which had the withered hand, Stand forth.
He said to the man whose hand was withered, “Stand up.”
Y les preguntó a los otros: ―¿Qué es correcto hacer en el día de reposo: el bien o el mal? ¿Es este un día para salvar una vida o para matar? No le contestaron.
Y les dice: ¿Es lícito hacer bien en sábado, ó hacer mal? ¿salvar la vida, ó quitarla? Mas ellos callaban.
And he saith unto them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? But they held their peace.
He said to them, “Is it lawful on the Sabbath day to do good or to do harm? To save a life or to kill?” But they were silent.
Jesús, mirándolos con una mezcla de enojo y tristeza por la indiferencia que mostraban, le dijo al hombre: ―Extiende la mano. Y al extenderla, se le sanó.
Y mirándolos alrededor con enojo, condoleciéndose de la ceguedad de su corazón, dice al hombre: Extiende tu mano. Y la extendió, y su mano fué restituída sana.
And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith unto the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it out: and his hand was restored whole as the other.
When he had looked around at them with anger, being grieved at the hardening of their hearts, he said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” He stretched it out, and his hand was restored as healthy as the other.
En cuanto salieron, los fariseos se reunieron con los herodianos para urdir un plan con el propósito de matar a Jesús.
Entonces saliendo los Fariseos, tomaron consejo con los Herodianos contra él, para matarle.
And the Pharisees went forth, and straightway took counsel with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him.

Jesús y sus discípulos se retiraron a la orilla del lago, y los siguieron una gran multitud que venía de Galilea,

Judea, Jerusalén, Idumea, de más allá del Jordán y de las regiones de Tiro y Sidón. Las noticias de los milagros de Jesús atraían a toda esta gente.
Y de Jerusalem, y de Idumea, y de la otra parte del Jordán. Y los de alrededor de Tiro y de Sidón, grande multitud, oyendo cuán grandes cosas hacía, vinieron á él.
And from Jerusalem, and from Idumaea, and from beyond Jordan; and they about Tyre and Sidon, a great multitude, when they had heard what great things he did, came unto him.

Jesús le había ordenado a sus discípulos que le tuvieran siempre lista una barca para evitar que el gentío lo oprimiera,
Y dijo á sus discípulos que le estuviese siempre apercibida la barquilla, por causa del gentío, para que no le oprimiesen.
And he spake to his disciples, that a small ship should wait on him because of the multitude, lest they should throng him.
He spoke to his disciples that a little boat should stay near him because of the crowd, so that they wouldn’t press on him.
pues como había realizado muchas curaciones, todos los enfermos lo rodeaban tratando de tocarlo.
Porque había sanado á muchos; de manera que caían sobre él cuantos tenían plagas, por tocarle.
For he had healed many; insomuch that they pressed upon him for to touch him, as many as had plagues.
For he had healed many, so that as many as had diseases pressed on him that they might touch him.
Cada vez que los endemoniados lo veían, caían de rodillas ante él gritando: ―¡Tú eres el Hijo de Dios!
Y los espíritus inmundos, al verle, se postraban delante de él, y daban voces, diciendo: Tú eres el Hijo de Dios.
And unclean spirits, when they saw him, fell down before him, and cried, saying, Thou art the Son of God.
The unclean spirits, whenever they saw him, fell down before him and cried, “You are the Son of God!”
Actuaban así a pesar de que les tenía prohibido revelar quién era.
Mas él les reñía mucho que no le manifestasen.
And he straitly charged them that they should not make him known.

Jesús subió a una montaña y llamó a los que él quiso; y ellos vinieron a él.
Y subió al monte, y llamó á sí á los que él quiso; y vinieron á él.
And he goeth up into a mountain, and calleth unto him whom he would: and they came unto him.

De entre todos seleccionó a doce para que estuvieran siempre con él y salieran a predicar. A estos los llamó apóstoles,

y les dio autoridad para echar fuera demonios.
Y que tuviesen potestad de sanar enfermedades, y de echar fuera demonios:

Aquellos doce fueron: Simón (a quien llamó Pedro),
A Simón, al cual puso por nombre Pedro;

Y á Judas Iscariote, el que le entregó. Y vinieron á casa.

Luego Jesús entró en una casa a la que acudió tanta gente que ni siquiera pudieron comer él y sus discípulos.
Y agolpóse de nuevo la gente, de modo que ellos ni aun podían comer pan.
And the multitude cometh together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread.

Los familiares de Jesús, al enterarse de lo que estaba pasando, salieron a buscarlo porque creían que se había vuelto loco.
Y como lo oyeron los suyos, vinieron para prenderle: porque decían: Está fuera de sí.
And when his friends heard of it, they went out to lay hold on him: for they said, He is beside himself.
When his friends heard it, they went out to seize him; for they said, “He is insane.”
Los maestros de la ley que habían llegado de Jerusalén decían: «Los demonios lo obedecen porque tiene a Beelzebú, el príncipe de los demonios».
Y los escribas que habían venido de Jerusalem, decían que tenía á Beelzebub, y que por el príncipe de los demonios echaba fuera los demonios.
And the scribes which came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils.
The scribes who came down from Jerusalem said, “He has Beelzebul,” and, “By the prince of the demons he casts out the demons.”
Jesús los llamó y les habló en parábolas: «¿Cómo puede Satanás echar fuera a Satanás?
Y habiéndolos llamado, les decía en parábolas: ¿Cómo puede Satanás echar fuera á Satanás?
And he called them unto him, and said unto them in parables, How can Satan cast out Satan?
He summoned them and said to them in parables, “How can Satan cast out Satan?
Si un reino está dividido y los distintos bandos luchan entre sí, pronto desaparecerá.
Y si algún reino contra sí mismo fuere dividido, no puede permanecer el tal reino.
And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.
If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.
Si un hogar está dividido contra sí mismo, se destruirá.
Y si alguna casa fuere dividida contra sí misma, no puede permanecer la tal casa.
And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.
If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand.
Y si Satanás pelea contra sí mismo y se divide, no podrá mantenerse y, entonces, ¿en qué irá a parar?
Y si Satanás se levantare contra sí mismo, y fuere dividido, no puede permanecer; antes tiene fin.
And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
If Satan has risen up against himself, and is divided, he can’t stand, but has an end.
Nadie puede entrar en la casa de alguien fuerte y despojarlo de sus bienes si primero no lo ata. Sólo entonces podrá robar su casa.
Nadie puede saquear las alhajas del valiente entrando en su casa, si antes no atare al valiente y entonces saqueará su casa.
No man can enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house.
But no one can enter into the house of the strong man to plunder unless he first binds the strong man; then he will plunder his house.
Les aseguro que todos los pecados y blasfemias se les perdonarán a todos por igual.
De cierto os digo que todos los pecados serán perdonados á los hijos de los hombres, y las blasfemias cualesquiera con que blasfemaren;
Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme:
“Most certainly I tell you, all sins of the descendants of man will be forgiven, including their blasphemies with which they may blaspheme;
Pero la blasfemia contra el Espíritu Santo nunca tendrá perdón, pues será un pecado de consecuencias eternas».
Mas cualquiera que blasfemare contra el Espíritu Santo, no tiene jamás perdón, mas está expuesto á eterno juicio.
But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:
but whoever may blaspheme against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation.”
Así respondió Jesús a la acusación de que tenía un espíritu inmundo.
Porque decían: Tiene espíritu inmundo.
Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit.
—because they said, “He has an unclean spirit.”
Cuando la madre y los hermanos de Jesús llegaron, se quedaron afuera y le enviaron un recado para llamarlo,
Vienen después sus hermanos y su madre, y estando fuera, enviaron á él llamándole.
There came then his brethren and his mother, and, standing without, sent unto him, calling him.
His mother and his brothers came, and standing outside, they sent to him, calling him.
ya que había mucha gente sentada alrededor de él. ―Tu madre y tus hermanos están afuera y quieren verte —le dijeron.
Y la gente estaba sentada alrededor de él, y le dijeron: He aquí, tu madre y tus hermanos te buscan fuera.
And the multitude sat about him, and they said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren without seek for thee.
A multitude was sitting around him, and they told him, “Behold, your mother, your brothers, and your sisters are outside looking for you.”
―¿Quién es mi madre? ¿Quiénes son mis hermanos? —replicó Jesús.
Y él les respondió, diciendo: ¿Quién es mi madre y mis hermanos?
And he answered them, saying, Who is my mother, or my brethren?
He answered them, “Who are my mother and my brothers?”
Y mirando a los que estaban a su alrededor, añadió: ―Estos son mi madre y mis hermanos.
Y mirando á los que estaban sentados alrededor de él, dijo: He aquí mi madre y hermanos.
And he looked round about on them which sat about him, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!
Looking around at those who sat around him, he said, “Behold, my mother and my brothers!
Cualquiera que hace la voluntad de Dios es mi hermano, mi hermana y mi madre.
Porque cualquiera que hiciere la voluntad de Dios, éste es mi hermano, y mi hermana, y mi madre.
For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.
For whoever does the will of God is my brother, my sister, and mother.”
