Et ils arrivèrent à l'autre bord de la mer, dans la contrée des Gadaréniens.

Y VINIERON de la otra parte de la mar á la provincia de los Gadarenos.

And they came over unto the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes.

Et quand il fut sorti de la barque, aussitôt un homme possédé d'un esprit impur, sortant des sépulcres, vint au-devant de lui.

Y salido él del barco, luego le salió al encuentro, de los sepulcros, un hombre con un espíritu inmundo,

And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,

When he had come out of the boat, immediately a man with an unclean spirit met him out of the tombs.

Il avait sa demeure dans les sépulcres, et personne ne pouvait plus le lier, pas même avec une chaîne ;

Que tenía domicilio en los sepulcros, y ni aun con cadenas le podía alguien atar;

Who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains:

He lived in the tombs. Nobody could bind him any more, not even with chains,

car souvent, il avait été lié de ceps aux pieds et de chaînes, et il avait rompu les chaînes et brisé les ceps ; et personne ne pouvait le dompter ;

Porque muchas veces había sido atado con grillos y cadenas, mas las cadenas habían sido hechas pedazos por él, y los grillos desmenuzados; y nadie le podía domar.

Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him.

because he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been torn apart by him, and the fetters broken in pieces. Nobody had the strength to tame him.

et il était continuellement, nuit et jour, dans les sépulcres et sur les montagnes, criant, et se meurtrissant avec des pierres.

Y siempre, de día y de noche, andaba dando voces en los montes y en los sepulcros, é hiriéndose con las piedras.

And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones.

Always, night and day, in the tombs and in the mountains, he was crying out, and cutting himself with stones.

Et ayant vu Jésus de loin, il accourut et se prosterna devant lui ;

Y como vió á Jesús de lejos, corrió, y le adoró.

But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him,

When he saw Jesus from afar, he ran and bowed down to him,

et criant à haute voix, il dit : Qu'y a-t-il entre moi et toi, Jésus, Fils du Dieu très-haut ? Je t'adjure par Dieu, de ne me point tourmenter.

Y clamando á gran voz, dijo: ¿Qué tienes conmigo, Jesús, Hijo del Dios Altísimo? Te conjuro por Dios que no me atormentes.

And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not.

and crying out with a loud voice, he said, “What have I to do with you, Jesus, you Son of the Most High God? I adjure you by God, don’t torment me.”

Car il lui disait : Esprit impur, sors de cet homme.

Porque le decía: Sal de este hombre, espíritu inmundo.

For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit.

For he said to him, “Come out of the man, you unclean spirit!”

Et il lui demandait : Quel est ton nom ? Et il dit : Mon nom est Légion ; car nous sommes plusieurs.

Y le preguntó: ¿Cómo te llamas? Y respondió diciendo: Legión me llamo; porque somos muchos.

And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many.

He asked him, “What is your name?” He said to him, “My name is Legion, for we are many.”

Et il le priait fort de ne pas les envoyer hors de la contrée.

Y le rogaba mucho que no le enviase fuera de aquella provincia.

And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country.

He begged him much that he would not send them away out of the country.

Or, il y avait là, vers la montagne, un grand troupeau de pourceaux qui paissait ;

Y estaba allí cerca del monte una grande manada de puercos paciendo.

Now there was there nigh unto the mountains a great herd of swine feeding.

Now on the mountainside there was a great herd of pigs feeding.

et les démons le prièrent, disant : Envoie-nous dans les pourceaux, afin que nous entrions en eux. Et il le leur permit.

Y le rogaron todos los demonios, diciendo: Envíanos á los puercos para que entremos en ellos.

And all the devils besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them.

All the demons begged him, saying, “Send us into the pigs, that we may enter into them.”

Et les esprits impurs étant sortis, entrèrent dans les pourceaux, et le troupeau s'élança avec impétuosité en bas la pente, dans la mer, au nombre d'environ deux mille, et ils furent noyés dans la mer.

Y luego Jesús se lo permitió. Y saliendo aquellos espíritus inmundos, entraron en los puercos, y la manada cayó por un despeñadero en la mar; los cuales eran como dos mil; y en la mar se ahogaron.

And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand;) and were choked in the sea.

At once Jesus gave them permission. The unclean spirits came out and entered into the pigs. The herd of about two thousand rushed down the steep bank into the sea, and they were drowned in the sea.

Et ceux qui les paissaient s'enfuirent et répandirent la nouvelle dans la ville et dans les campagnes.

Y los que apacentaban los puercos huyeron, y dieron aviso en la ciudad y en los campos. Y salieron para ver qué era aquello que había acontecido.

And they that fed the swine fled, and told it in the city, and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that was done.

Those who fed the pigs fled, and told it in the city and in the country. The people came to see what it was that had happened.

Et les gens sortirent pour voir ce qui était arrivé. Et ils viennent vers Jésus et ils considèrent le démoniaque, assis, vêtu, et dans son bon sens, lui qui avait eu la légion ; et ils furent remplis de crainte.

Y vienen á Jesús, y ven al que había sido atormentado del demonio, y que había tenido la legión, sentado y vestido, y en su juicio cabal; y tuvieron miedo.

And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.

They came to Jesus, and saw him who had been possessed by demons sitting, clothed, and in his right mind, even him who had the legion; and they were afraid.

Et ceux qui l'avaient vu leur racontèrent ce qui était arrivé au démoniaque et à l'égard des pourceaux.

Y les contaron los que lo habían visto, cómo había acontecido al que había tenido el demonio, y lo de los puercos.

And they that saw it told them how it befell to him that was possessed with the devil, and also concerning the swine.

Those who saw it declared to them what happened to him who was possessed by demons, and about the pigs.

Et ils se mirent à le prier de se retirer de leur territoire.

Y comenzaron á rogarle que se fuese de los términos de ellos.

And they began to pray him to depart out of their coasts.

They began to beg him to depart from their region.

Et comme il montait dans la barque, celui qui avait été démoniaque le priait de lui permettre d'être avec lui.

Y entrando él en el barco, le rogaba el que había sido fatigado del demonio, para estar con él.

And when he was come into the ship, he that had been possessed with the devil prayed him that he might be with him.

As he was entering into the boat, he who had been possessed by demons begged him that he might be with him.

Et il ne le lui permit pas, mais il lui dit : Va-t'en dans ta maison, vers les tiens, et raconte-leur quelles grandes choses le Seigneur t'a faites et comment il a eu pitié de toi.

Mas Jesús no le permitió, sino le dijo: Vete á tu casa, á los tuyos, y cuéntales cuán grandes cosas el Señor ha hecho contigo, y cómo ha tenido misericordia de ti.

Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee.

He didn’t allow him, but said to him, “Go to your house, to your friends, and tell them what great things the Lord has done for you and how he had mercy on you.”

Et il s'en alla et se mit à publier dans la Décapole quelles grandes choses Jésus lui avait faites ; et tous étaient dans l'admiration.

Y se fué, y comenzó á publicar en Decápolis cuán grandes cosas Jesús había hecho con él: y todos se maravillaban.

And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men did marvel.

He went his way, and began to proclaim in Decapolis how Jesus had done great things for him, and everyone marveled.

Et Jésus ayant de nouveau passé à l'autre bord, dans la barque, une grande foule s'assembla auprès de lui ; et il était au bord de la mer.

Y pasando otra vez Jesús en un barco á la otra parte, se juntó á él gran compañía; y estaba junto á la mar.

And when Jesus was passed over again by ship unto the other side, much people gathered unto him: and he was nigh unto the sea.

When Jesus had crossed back over in the boat to the other side, a great multitude was gathered to him; and he was by the sea.

Et l'un des chefs de la synagogue, nommé Jaïrus, vient, et le voyant, il se jette à ses pieds ;

Y vino uno de los príncipes de la sinagoga, llamado Jairo; y luego que le vió, se postró á sus pies,

And, behold, there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and when he saw him, he fell at his feet,

Behold, one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name, came; and seeing him, he fell at his feet

et il le prie instamment, disant : Ma petite fille est à l'extrémité ; je te prie de venir lui imposer les mains, afin qu'elle soit sauvée, et qu'elle vive.

Y le rogaba mucho, diciendo: Mi hija está á la muerte: ven y pondrás las manos sobre ella para que sea salva, y vivirá.

And besought him greatly, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death: I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live.

and begged him much, saying, “My little daughter is at the point of death. Please come and lay your hands on her, that she may be made healthy, and live.”

Et il s'en alla avec lui. Et une grande foule le suivait, et elle le pressait.

Y fué con él, y le seguía gran compañía, y le apretaban.

And Jesus went with him; and much people followed him, and thronged him.

He went with him, and a great multitude followed him, and they pressed upon him on all sides.

Et une femme qui avait une perte de sang depuis douze ans,

Y una mujer que estaba con flujo de sangre doce años hacía,

And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years,

A certain woman who had a discharge of blood for twelve years,

et qui avait beaucoup souffert de nombreux médecins, et qui avait dépensé tout son bien sans en retirer aucun profit, mais était allée plutôt en empirant,

Y había sufrido mucho de muchos médicos, y había gastado todo lo que tenía, y nada había aprovechado, antes le iba peor,

And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,

and had suffered many things by many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was no better, but rather grew worse,

comme elle avait ouï parler de Jésus, étant venue dans la foule, elle toucha, par derrière, son vêtement ;

Como oyó hablar de Jesús, llegó por detrás entre la compañía, y tocó su vestido.

When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.

having heard the things concerning Jesus, came up behind him in the crowd and touched his clothes.

car elle disait : Si seulement je touche ses vêtements, je serai sauvée.

Porque decía: Si tocare tan solamente su vestido, seré salva.

For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.

For she said, “If I just touch his clothes, I will be made well.”

Et aussitôt l'écoulement de son sang s'arrêta ; et elle connut en son corps qu'elle était guérie de ce mal.

Y luego la fuente de su sangre se secó; y sintió en el cuerpo que estaba sana de aquel azote.

And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.

Immediately the flow of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of her affliction.

Et aussitôt Jésus, ayant connu en lui-même qu'une puissance était sortie de lui, s'étant retourné dans la foule, disait : Qui a touché mes vêtements ?

Y luego Jesús, conociendo en sí mismo la virtud que había salido de él, volviéndose á la compañía, dijo: ¿Quién ha tocado mis vestidos?

And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?

Immediately Jesus, perceiving in himself that the power had gone out from him, turned around in the crowd and asked, “Who touched my clothes?”

Et ses disciples lui disaient : Tu vois que la foule te presse, et tu dis : Qui est-ce qui m'a touché ?

Y le dijeron sus discípulos: Ves que la multitud te aprieta, y dices: ¿Quién me ha tocado?

And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?

His disciples said to him, “You see the multitude pressing against you, and you say, ‘Who touched me?’”

Et il regardait tout autour pour voir celle qui avait fait cela.

Y él miraba alrededor para ver á la que había hecho esto.

And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing.

He looked around to see her who had done this thing.

Or la femme, effrayée et tremblante, sachant ce qui lui était arrivé, vint et se jeta à ses pieds et lui dit toute la vérité.

Entonces la mujer, temiendo y temblando, sabiendo lo que en sí había sido hecho, vino y se postró delante de él, y le dijo toda la verdad.

But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.

Mais il lui dit : Ma fille, ta foi t'a sauvée ; va en paix, et sois guérie de ton mal.

Y él le dijo: Hija, tu fe te ha hecho salva: ve en paz, y queda sana de tu azote.

And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.

He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be cured of your disease.”

Comme il parlait encore, on vient de chez le chef de la synagogue en disant : Ta fille est morte : pourquoi fatigues-tu encore le Maître ?

Hablando aún él, vinieron de casa del príncipe de la sinagoga, diciendo: Tu hija es muerta; ¿para qué fatigas más al Maestro?

While he yet spake, there came from the ruler of the synagogue’s house certain which said, Thy daughter is dead: why troublest thou the Master any further?

While he was still speaking, people came from the synagogue ruler’s house, saying, “Your daughter is dead. Why bother the Teacher any more?”

Mais Jésus, sans faire attention à la parole qu'on disait, dit au chef de la synagogue : Ne crains point, crois seulement.

Mas luego Jesús, oyendo esta razón que se decía, dijo al príncipe de la sinagoga: No temas, cree solamente.

As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.

But Jesus, when he heard the message spoken, immediately said to the ruler of the synagogue, “Don’t be afraid, only believe.”

Et il ne permit à personne de l'accompagner, si ce n'est à Pierre et à Jacques et à Jean, le frère de Jacques.

Y no permitió que alguno viniese tras él sino Pedro, y Jacobo, y Juan hermano de Jacobo.

And he suffered no man to follow him, save Peter, and James, and John the brother of James.

He allowed no one to follow him except Peter, James, and John the brother of James.

Et ils arrivent à la maison du chef de la synagogue, et il voit du tumulte et des gens qui pleuraient et se lamentaient beaucoup.

Y vino á casa del príncipe de la sinagoga, y vió el alboroto, los que lloraban y gemían mucho.

And he cometh to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and seeth the tumult, and them that wept and wailed greatly.

He came to the synagogue ruler’s house, and he saw an uproar, weeping, and great wailing.

Et étant entré, il leur dit : Pourquoi faites-vous du bruit et pleurez-vous ? L'enfant n'est pas morte, mais elle dort.

Y entrando, les dice: ¿Por qué alborotáis y lloráis? La muchacha no es muerta, mas duerme.

And when he was come in, he saith unto them, Why make ye this ado, and weep? the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth.

When he had entered in, he said to them, “Why do you make an uproar and weep? The child is not dead, but is asleep.”

Et ils se moquaient de lui. Mais lui, les ayant tous mis dehors, prend le père de l'enfant et la mère et ceux qui étaient avec lui, et il entre là où était l'enfant.

Y hacían burla de él: mas él, echados fuera todos, toma al padre y á la madre de la muchacha, y á los que estaban con él, y entra donde la muchacha estaba.

And they laughed him to scorn. But when he had put them all out, he taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and entereth in where the damsel was lying.

They ridiculed him. But he, having put them all out, took the father of the child, her mother, and those who were with him, and went in where the child was lying.

Et ayant pris la main de l'enfant, il lui dit : Talitha koumi, ce qui signifie : Jeune fille, je te le dis, lève-toi !

Y tomando la mano de la muchacha, le dice: Talitha cumi; que es, si lo interpretares: Muchacha, á ti digo, levántate.

And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise.

Taking the child by the hand, he said to her, “Talitha cumi!” which means, being interpreted, “Girl, I tell you, get up!”

Et aussitôt la jeune fille se leva et se mit à marcher, car elle était âgée de douze ans. Et ils furent saisis d'une grande stupéfaction.

Y luego la muchacha se levantó, y andaba; porque tenía doce años. Y se espantaron de grande espanto.

And straightway the damsel arose, and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great astonishment.

Immediately the girl rose up and walked, for she was twelve years old. They were amazed with great amazement.

Et il leur commanda fortement que personne ne le sût ; et il dit qu'on lui donnât à manger.

Mas él les mandó mucho que nadie lo supiese, y dijo que le diesen de comer.

And he charged them straitly that no man should know it; and commanded that something should be given her to eat.

He strictly ordered them that no one should know this, and commanded that something should be given to her to eat.
