Que tenía domicilio en los sepulcros, y ni aun con cadenas le podía alguien atar;
Who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains:

Y como vió á Jesús de lejos, corrió, y le adoró.
But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him,

Und alsbald erlaubete ihnen Jesus. Da fuhren die unsaubern Geister aus und fuhren in die Säue und die Herde stürzte sich mit einem Sturm ins Meer (ihrer war aber bei zweitausend) und ersoffen im Meer.
Y clamando á gran voz, dijo: ¿Qué tienes conmigo, Jesús, Hijo del Dios Altísimo? Te conjuro por Dios que no me atormentes.
And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not.
and crying out with a loud voice, he said, “What have I to do with you, Jesus, you Son of the Most High God? I adjure you by God, don’t torment me.”
Und die Sauhirten flohen und verkündigten das in der Stadt und auf dem Lande. Und sie gingen hinaus, zu sehen, was da geschehen war.

For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit.

Und kamen zu Jesu und sahen den, so von den Teufeln besessen war, daß er saß und war bekleidet und vernünftig, und fürchteten sich.

And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many.

Und die es gesehen hatten, sagten ihnen, was dem Besessenen widerfahren war, und von den Säuen.
Y le rogaba mucho que no le enviase fuera de aquella provincia.
And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country.

Y le rogaron todos los demonios, diciendo: Envíanos á los puercos para que entremos en ellos.
And all the devils besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them.
All the demons begged him, saying, “Send us into the pigs, that we may enter into them.”
Aber Jesus ließ es ihm nicht zu, sondern sprach zu ihm: Gehe hin in dein Haus und zu den Deinen und verkündige ihnen, wie große Wohltat dir der HERR getan und sich deiner erbarmet hat.
Y luego Jesús se lo permitió. Y saliendo aquellos espíritus inmundos, entraron en los puercos, y la manada cayó por un despeñadero en la mar; los cuales eran como dos mil; y en la mar se ahogaron.
And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand;) and were choked in the sea.
At once Jesus gave them permission. The unclean spirits came out and entered into the pigs. The herd of about two thousand rushed down the steep bank into the sea, and they were drowned in the sea.
Und er ging hin und fing an auszurufen in den zehn Städten, wie große Wohltat ihm Jesus getan hatte. Und jedermann verwunderte sich.
Y los que apacentaban los puercos huyeron, y dieron aviso en la ciudad y en los campos. Y salieron para ver qué era aquello que había acontecido.
And they that fed the swine fled, and told it in the city, and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that was done.
Those who fed the pigs fled, and told it in the city and in the country. The people came to see what it was that had happened.
Und da Jesus wieder herüberfuhr im Schiff, versammelte sich viel Volks zu ihm und war an dem Meer.
Y vienen á Jesús, y ven al que había sido atormentado del demonio, y que había tenido la legión, sentado y vestido, y en su juicio cabal; y tuvieron miedo.
And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.
They came to Jesus, and saw him who had been possessed by demons sitting, clothed, and in his right mind, even him who had the legion; and they were afraid.
Und siehe, da kam der Obersten einer von der Schule mit Namen Jairus. Und da er ihn sah, fiel er ihm zu Füßen
Y les contaron los que lo habían visto, cómo había acontecido al que había tenido el demonio, y lo de los puercos.
And they that saw it told them how it befell to him that was possessed with the devil, and also concerning the swine.
Those who saw it declared to them what happened to him who was possessed by demons, and about the pigs.
und bat ihn sehr und sprach: Meine Tochter ist in den letzten Zügen; du wollest kommen und deine Hand auf sie legen, daß sie gesund werde und lebe.

And they began to pray him to depart out of their coasts.

And when he was come into the ship, he that had been possessed with the devil prayed him that he might be with him.
As he was entering into the boat, he who had been possessed by demons begged him that he might be with him.

Mas Jesús no le permitió, sino le dijo: Vete á tu casa, á los tuyos, y cuéntales cuán grandes cosas el Señor ha hecho contigo, y cómo ha tenido misericordia de ti.
Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee.
He didn’t allow him, but said to him, “Go to your house, to your friends, and tell them what great things the Lord has done for you and how he had mercy on you.”
und viel erlitten von vielen Ärzten und hatte all ihr Gut darob verzehrt; und half ihr nichts, sondern vielmehr ward es ärger mit ihr.
Y se fué, y comenzó á publicar en Decápolis cuán grandes cosas Jesús había hecho con él: y todos se maravillaban.
And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men did marvel.
He went his way, and began to proclaim in Decapolis how Jesus had done great things for him, and everyone marveled.
Da die von Jesu hörete, kam sie im Volk von hinten zu und rührete sein Kleid an.
Y pasando otra vez Jesús en un barco á la otra parte, se juntó á él gran compañía; y estaba junto á la mar.
And when Jesus was passed over again by ship unto the other side, much people gathered unto him: and he was nigh unto the sea.
When Jesus had crossed back over in the boat to the other side, a great multitude was gathered to him; and he was by the sea.

And besought him greatly, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death: I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live.
and begged him much, saying, “My little daughter is at the point of death. Please come and lay your hands on her, that she may be made healthy, and live.”
Und Jesus fühlete alsbald an ihm selbst die Kraft, die von ihm ausgegangen war, und wandte sich um zum Volk und sprach: Wer hat meine Kleider angerühret?
Y fué con él, y le seguía gran compañía, y le apretaban.
And Jesus went with him; and much people followed him, and thronged him.

Das Weib aber fürchtete sich und zitterte (denn sie wußte, was an ihr geschehen war), kam und fiel vor ihm nieder und sagte ihm die ganze Wahrheit.
Como oyó hablar de Jesús, llegó por detrás entre la compañía, y tocó su vestido.
When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.
having heard the things concerning Jesus, came up behind him in the crowd and touched his clothes.
Er sprach aber zu ihr: Meine Tochter, dein Glaube hat dich gesund gemacht. Gehe hin mit Frieden und sei gesund von deiner Plage!
Porque decía: Si tocare tan solamente su vestido, seré salva.
For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.
For she said, “If I just touch his clothes, I will be made well.”
Da er noch also redete, kamen etliche vom Gesinde des Obersten der Schule und sprachen: Deine Tochter ist gestorben, was mühest du weiter den Meister?
Y luego la fuente de su sangre se secó; y sintió en el cuerpo que estaba sana de aquel azote.
And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.

Jesus aber hörete bald die Rede, die da gesagt ward, und sprach zu dem Obersten der Schule: Fürchte dich nicht; glaube nur!
Y luego Jesús, conociendo en sí mismo la virtud que había salido de él, volviéndose á la compañía, dijo: ¿Quién ha tocado mis vestidos?
And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?

Und ließ niemand ihm nachfolgen denn Petrus und Jakobus und Johannes, den Bruder des Jakobus.

And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?

And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.

Und ergriff das Kind bei der Hand und sprach zu ihr: Talitha, kumi! das ist verdolmetschet: Mägdlein, ich sage dir, stehe auf!
Hablando aún él, vinieron de casa del príncipe de la sinagoga, diciendo: Tu hija es muerta; ¿para qué fatigas más al Maestro?
While he yet spake, there came from the ruler of the synagogue’s house certain which said, Thy daughter is dead: why troublest thou the Master any further?
While he was still speaking, people came from the synagogue ruler’s house, saying, “Your daughter is dead. Why bother the Teacher any more?”
Und alsbald stund das Mägdlein auf und wandelte; es war aber zwölf Jahre alt. Und sie entsetzten sich über die Maßen.
Mas luego Jesús, oyendo esta razón que se decía, dijo al príncipe de la sinagoga: No temas, cree solamente.
As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.
But Jesus, when he heard the message spoken, immediately said to the ruler of the synagogue, “Don’t be afraid, only believe.”
Und er verbot ihnen hart, daß es niemand wissen sollte, und sagte, sie sollten ihr zu essen geben.

And he suffered no man to follow him, save Peter, and James, and John the brother of James.

He came to the synagogue ruler’s house, and he saw an uproar, weeping, and great wailing.
Und da der Sabbat kam, hub er an zu lehren in ihrer Schule: Und viele, die es höreten, verwunderten sich seiner Lehre und sprachen: Woher kommt dem solches? und: Was für Weisheit ist's, die ihm gegeben ist, und solche Taten, die durch seine Hände geschehen?

And they laughed him to scorn. But when he had put them all out, he taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and entereth in where the damsel was lying.
They ridiculed him. But he, having put them all out, took the father of the child, her mother, and those who were with him, and went in where the child was lying.
Jesus aber sprach zu ihnen: Ein Prophet gilt nirgend weniger denn im Vaterland und daheim bei den Seinen.
Y tomando la mano de la muchacha, le dice: Talitha cumi; que es, si lo interpretares: Muchacha, á ti digo, levántate.
And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise.
Taking the child by the hand, he said to her, “Talitha cumi!” which means, being interpreted, “Girl, I tell you, get up!”
Und er konnte allda nicht eine einzige Tat tun; ohne wenig Siechen legte er die Hände auf und heilete sie.
Y luego la muchacha se levantó, y andaba; porque tenía doce años. Y se espantaron de grande espanto.
And straightway the damsel arose, and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great astonishment.
Immediately the girl rose up and walked, for she was twelve years old. They were amazed with great amazement.
Und er verwunderte sich ihres Unglaubens. Und er ging umher in die Flecken im Kreis und lehrete.
Mas él les mandó mucho que nadie lo supiese, y dijo que le diesen de comer.
And he charged them straitly that no man should know it; and commanded that something should be given her to eat.
He strictly ordered them that no one should know this, and commanded that something should be given to her to eat.
