Und sie kamen ans andere Ufer des Meeres (Sees), in das Gebiet (Land) der Gerasener (Gergesener, Gadarener) .

Y VINIERON de la otra parte de la mar á la provincia de los Gadarenos.

And they came over unto the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes.

They came to the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes.

Und als er gerade (gleich, bald) aus dem Boot (Schiff) gestiegen war (stieg), kam von den Grabstätten (Gräbern, Grabhöhlen) her ein Mann mit einem unreinen Geist auf ihn zu (ihm entgegen),

Y salido él del barco, luego le salió al encuentro, de los sepulcros, un hombre con un espíritu inmundo,

And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,

When he had come out of the boat, immediately a man with an unclean spirit met him out of the tombs.

der †seine Behausung (Unterkunft, Lager) in den Grabhöhlen (Grabstätten, Gräbern) hatte, und nicht einmal (auch nicht) †mit einer Kette konnte man ihn noch bändigen (festhalten, fesseln).

Que tenía domicilio en los sepulcros, y ni aun con cadenas le podía alguien atar;

Who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains:

He lived in the tombs. Nobody could bind him any more, not even with chains,

Er war nämlich schon mehrfach †mit Fußfesseln und Ketten (Handfesseln) gefesselt worden und (aber) hatte †jedes Mal die Ketten (Handfesseln) zerrissen und die Fußfesseln zerrieben (zerschmettert), und niemand war stark †genug, ihn unter Kontrolle zu bringen (zu bezwingen, überwältigen, bändigen).

Porque muchas veces había sido atado con grillos y cadenas, mas las cadenas habían sido hechas pedazos por él, y los grillos desmenuzados; y nadie le podía domar.

Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him.

Und die ganze Zeit (ununterbrochen, ständig), nachts wie tags, hielt er sich (war) in den Grabhöhlen (Grabstätten, Gräbern) oder (und) in den Bergen auf, wo (wobei, während) er schrie (schrie er in den Grabhöhlen oder in den Bergen) und sich †mit Steinen schnitt (verletzte; auf sich einschlug) .

And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones.

Und als (weil) er Jesus von Weitem sah, kam er angerannt und warf sich vor ihm nieder .

Y como vió á Jesús de lejos, corrió, y le adoró.

But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him,

{und} Er schrie †mit lauter Stimme und sagte: „Was willst du von mir , Jesus, Sohn Gottes, des Höchsten (des höchsten Gottes)? Ich beschwöre dich bei Gott, mich nicht zu quälen (foltern)!“

Y clamando á gran voz, dijo: ¿Qué tienes conmigo, Jesús, Hijo del Dios Altísimo? Te conjuro por Dios que no me atormentes.

And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not.

and crying out with a loud voice, he said, “What have I to do with you, Jesus, you Son of the Most High God? I adjure you by God, don’t torment me.”

Denn †Jesus hatte zu ihm gesagt (sagte gerade/wiederholt) : „Komm heraus (Fahre aus, verlass) aus dem Mann, unreiner Geist!“,

Porque le decía: Sal de este hombre, espíritu inmundo.

For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit.

For he said to him, “Come out of the man, you unclean spirit!”

und er fragte ihn: „Was †ist dein Name?“, und er antwortete (sagte) {zu ihm}: „Mein Name †ist »Legion« , denn wir sind viele.“

Y le preguntó: ¿Cómo te llamas? Y respondió diciendo: Legión me llamo; porque somos muchos.

And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many.

He asked him, “What is your name?” He said to him, “My name is Legion, for we are many.”

Und er flehte (bat) ihn immer wieder (inständig) an, {dass} sie nicht aus der Gegend (Gebiet, Land) wegzuschicken (zu vertreiben).

Y le rogaba mucho que no le enviase fuera de aquella provincia.

And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country.

He begged him much that he would not send them away out of the country.

Nun (aber, und) weidete (wurde gehütet) in der Nähe (dort) am Berghang gerade eine große Schweineherde .

Y estaba allí cerca del monte una grande manada de puercos paciendo.

Now there was there nigh unto the mountains a great herd of swine feeding.

Now on the mountainside there was a great herd of pigs feeding.

Und sie baten (flehten an) ihn {sagend}: „Schicke (Treibe) uns in die Schweine! Wir wollen (damit wir) in sie fahren!“,

Y le rogaron todos los demonios, diciendo: Envíanos á los puercos para que entremos en ellos.

And all the devils besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them.

All the demons begged him, saying, “Send us into the pigs, that we may enter into them.”

und er erlaubte †es ihnen. Da (Und) fuhren die unreinen Geister aus und fuhren in die Schweine, und die Herde raste (stürzte sich, stürmte) den Abhang hinunter ins Meer (den See), ungefähr zweitausend, und ertranken im Meer (See) .

Y luego Jesús se lo permitió. Y saliendo aquellos espíritus inmundos, entraron en los puercos, y la manada cayó por un despeñadero en la mar; los cuales eran como dos mil; y en la mar se ahogaron.

And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand;) and were choked in the sea.

At once Jesus gave them permission. The unclean spirits came out and entered into the pigs. The herd of about two thousand rushed down the steep bank into the sea, and they were drowned in the sea.

Und ihre Hirten ergriffen die Flucht (liefen davon) und verbreiteten (verkündeten, erzählten) †die Nachricht in der Stadt und auf dem Land (den Höfen, Dörfern) . Und †die Leute machten sich auf (kamen), †um zu sehen, was das Geschehene war .

Y los que apacentaban los puercos huyeron, y dieron aviso en la ciudad y en los campos. Y salieron para ver qué era aquello que había acontecido.

And they that fed the swine fled, and told it in the city, and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that was done.

Those who fed the pigs fled, and told it in the city and in the country. The people came to see what it was that had happened.

Und sie erreichten (kamen zu) Jesus und sahen (als sie erreichten, sahen sie), dass der Besessene saß, bekleidet und bei Verstand – derjenige, der die Legion gehabt hatte! – und fürchteten sich.

Y vienen á Jesús, y ven al que había sido atormentado del demonio, y que había tenido la legión, sentado y vestido, y en su juicio cabal; y tuvieron miedo.

And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.

They came to Jesus, and saw him who had been possessed by demons sitting, clothed, and in his right mind, even him who had the legion; and they were afraid.

Und die, die †alles gesehen hatten, erzählten (schilderten) ihnen, was (wie) mit dem Besessenen passierten war, und von den Schweinen.

Y les contaron los que lo habían visto, cómo había acontecido al que había tenido el demonio, y lo de los puercos.

And they that saw it told them how it befell to him that was possessed with the devil, and also concerning the swine.

Those who saw it declared to them what happened to him who was possessed by demons, and about the pigs.

Da (Und) drängten (baten, forderten auf) sie ihn, ihr Gebiet zu verlassen (fortzugehen aus).

Y comenzaron á rogarle que se fuese de los términos de ellos.

And they began to pray him to depart out of their coasts.

They began to beg him to depart from their region.

{Und} Als er ins Boot stieg, bat (flehte) ihn der, der besessen gewesen war, darum, {dass} bei ihm bleiben †zu dürfen.

Y entrando él en el barco, le rogaba el que había sido fatigado del demonio, para estar con él.

And when he was come into the ship, he that had been possessed with the devil prayed him that he might be with him.

As he was entering into the boat, he who had been possessed by demons begged him that he might be with him.

Aber (und) er erlaubte es ihm (ließ ihn) nicht, sondern sagte zu ihm: „Geh nach Hause (in dein Haus) zu den Deinen und berichte (verkünde, erzähle) ihnen, was der Herr dir getan hat und †wie er Erbarmen mit dir hatte!“

Mas Jesús no le permitió, sino le dijo: Vete á tu casa, á los tuyos, y cuéntales cuán grandes cosas el Señor ha hecho contigo, y cómo ha tenido misericordia de ti.

Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee.

He didn’t allow him, but said to him, “Go to your house, to your friends, and tell them what great things the Lord has done for you and how he had mercy on you.”

Und (Da) er ging fort und begann in der Dekapolis (im Zehnstädtegebiet) zu erzählen (predigen, verkündigen), was Jesus ihm getan hatte, und alle staunten (wunderten sich) .

Y se fué, y comenzó á publicar en Decápolis cuán grandes cosas Jesús había hecho con él: y todos se maravillaban.

And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men did marvel.

He went his way, and began to proclaim in Decapolis how Jesus had done great things for him, and everyone marveled.

Und nachdem Jesus mit dem (im) Boot wieder (zurück) ans andere Ufer gefahren war, versammelte sich eine große Menschenmenge bei ihm. {und} Er war gerade (während, noch) am Meer (See),

Y pasando otra vez Jesús en un barco á la otra parte, se juntó á él gran compañía; y estaba junto á la mar.

And when Jesus was passed over again by ship unto the other side, much people gathered unto him: and he was nigh unto the sea.

When Jesus had crossed back over in the boat to the other side, a great multitude was gathered to him; and he was by the sea.

als (da, und) einer der Synagogenvorsteher namens Jairus kam, und als er ihn sah, warf (fiel) er sich ihm vor die Füße

Y vino uno de los príncipes de la sinagoga, llamado Jairo; y luego que le vió, se postró á sus pies,

And, behold, there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and when he saw him, he fell at his feet,

Behold, one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name, came; and seeing him, he fell at his feet

und bat (flehte an) ihn inständig (mehrfach) {sagend}: „Meine kleine Tochter ist dem Tode nahe (liegt im Sterben, ist todkrank) – komm doch und lege ihr deine Hände auf, damit sie gerettet (geheilt) wird und am Leben bleibt (lebt)!“

Y le rogaba mucho, diciendo: Mi hija está á la muerte: ven y pondrás las manos sobre ella para que sea salva, y vivirá.

And besought him greatly, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death: I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live.

and begged him much, saying, “My little daughter is at the point of death. Please come and lay your hands on her, that she may be made healthy, and live.”

Und er ging mit ihm, und eine große Menge folgte ihm, und sie drängten sich um ihn .

Y fué con él, y le seguía gran compañía, y le apretaban.

And Jesus went with him; and much people followed him, and thronged him.

He went with him, and a great multitude followed him, and they pressed upon him on all sides.

Und eine Frau, die †seit zwölf Jahren an Blutungen (Blutfluss) litt

Y una mujer que estaba con flujo de sangre doce años hacía,

And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years,

A certain woman who had a discharge of blood for twelve years,

und mit (durch) vielen Ärzten viel durchgemacht (erduldet, erlitten) hatte, die ihren gesamten Besitz (Vermögen, Habe) ausgegeben hatte, ohne etwas zu erreichen (einen Nutzen davon zu haben); stattdessen (im Gegenteil) war es ihr immer schlechter gegangen (schlimmer geworden),

Y había sufrido mucho de muchos médicos, y había gastado todo lo que tenía, y nada había aprovechado, antes le iba peor,

And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,

and had suffered many things by many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was no better, but rather grew worse,

als sie (die) von Jesus hörte, näherte sich (kam) †diese Frau in der Menge von hinten und berührte (fasste an) seine Kleidung (Gewand).

Como oyó hablar de Jesús, llegó por detrás entre la compañía, y tocó su vestido.

When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.

having heard the things concerning Jesus, came up behind him in the crowd and touched his clothes.

Sie sagte sich (dachte) nämlich: „Wenn ich auch nur seine Kleider (Kleidung) berühre (anfasse), werde ich geheilt (gerettet) werden!“

Porque decía: Si tocare tan solamente su vestido, seré salva.

For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.

For she said, “If I just touch his clothes, I will be made well.”

Und die Quelle ihre Blutes versiegte (vertrocknete) auf der Stelle (sofort), und sie bemerkte (wusste, spürte) †an (in) ihrem Körper , dass sie von †ihrem Leiden (Qual) geheilt war.

Y luego la fuente de su sangre se secó; y sintió en el cuerpo que estaba sana de aquel azote.

And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.

Immediately the flow of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of her affliction.

Und Jesus, der (als/weil er) innerlich (bei sich) sofort merkte, dass Kraft †von ihm ausgegangen war, drehte sich in der Menschenmenge um und fragte (sagte, wiederholte) : „Wer hat meine Kleider (Kleidung) berührt (angefasst)?“

Y luego Jesús, conociendo en sí mismo la virtud que había salido de él, volviéndose á la compañía, dijo: ¿Quién ha tocado mis vestidos?

And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?

Immediately Jesus, perceiving in himself that the power had gone out from him, turned around in the crowd and asked, “Who touched my clothes?”

Aber (Und, Da) seine Jünger meinten (sagten) {ihm}: „Du siehst die Menschenmenge, die sich um dich drängt, und sagst: »Wer hat mich berührt (angefasst)?«“

Y le dijeron sus discípulos: Ves que la multitud te aprieta, y dices: ¿Quién me ha tocado?

And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?

His disciples said to him, “You see the multitude pressing against you, and you say, ‘Who touched me?’”

Und er schaute sich um, †um die †Person zu sehen, die es gewesen war (getan hatte).

Y él miraba alrededor para ver á la que había hecho esto.

And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing.

He looked around to see her who had done this thing.

Die Frau fürchtete sich und zitterte, weil sie wusste, was mit ihr passiert war. Sie kam und warf sich (fiel) vor ihm nieder und erzählte (sagte) ihm die ganze Wahrheit.

Entonces la mujer, temiendo y temblando, sabiendo lo que en sí había sido hecho, vino y se postró delante de él, y le dijo toda la verdad.

But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.

Doch er sagte zu ihr: „Tochter, dein Glaube (Vertrauen) hat dich gesund gemacht (gerettet). Geh in Frieden, und sei (bleibe) von deinem Leiden (Plage) gesund (geheilt)!“

Y él le dijo: Hija, tu fe te ha hecho salva: ve en paz, y queda sana de tu azote.

And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.

He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be cured of your disease.”

Während er noch redete, kamen †Angehörige (Leute aus dem Haus) des Synagogenvorstehers und richteten aus (sagten) : „Deine Tochter ist gestorben. Was (Warum) bemühst du noch den Lehrer?“

Hablando aún él, vinieron de casa del príncipe de la sinagoga, diciendo: Tu hija es muerta; ¿para qué fatigas más al Maestro?

While he yet spake, there came from the ruler of the synagogue’s house certain which said, Thy daughter is dead: why troublest thou the Master any further?

While he was still speaking, people came from the synagogue ruler’s house, saying, “Your daughter is dead. Why bother the Teacher any more?”

Aber Jesus, der mitbekommen hatte (hörte zu; überhörte, missachtete), wie die Botschaft (Meldung, Wort) ausgerichtet (gesagt) wurde, sagte zu dem Synagogenvorsteher: „Fürchte dich nicht, vertraue (glaube) einfach (nur)!“

Mas luego Jesús, oyendo esta razón que se decía, dijo al príncipe de la sinagoga: No temas, cree solamente.

As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.

But Jesus, when he heard the message spoken, immediately said to the ruler of the synagogue, “Don’t be afraid, only believe.”

Und er ließ (erlaubte) niemanden mitkommen (ihn begleiten) außer Petrus, {und} Jakobus und Jakobus’ Bruder Johannes.

Y no permitió que alguno viniese tras él sino Pedro, y Jacobo, y Juan hermano de Jacobo.

And he suffered no man to follow him, save Peter, and James, and John the brother of James.

He allowed no one to follow him except Peter, James, and John the brother of James.

Als (Und) sie zum (in das) Haus des Synagogenvorstehers kamen, {und} sah er ein lärmendes Durcheinander (Aufregung, Tumult) und †Menschen, die heftig heulten (weinten) und wehklagten (heulten),

Y vino á casa del príncipe de la sinagoga, y vió el alboroto, los que lloraban y gemían mucho.

And he cometh to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and seeth the tumult, and them that wept and wailed greatly.

He came to the synagogue ruler’s house, and he saw an uproar, weeping, and great wailing.

und nach dem (beim) Eintreten sagte er zu ihnen: „Warum seid ihr so erregt (lärmt) und heult (weint)? Das Kind (Kindlein) ist nicht tot, sie schläft nur!“

Y entrando, les dice: ¿Por qué alborotáis y lloráis? La muchacha no es muerta, mas duerme.

And when he was come in, he saith unto them, Why make ye this ado, and weep? the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth.

When he had entered in, he said to them, “Why do you make an uproar and weep? The child is not dead, but is asleep.”

Da (Und) lachten sie ihn aus. Doch †Jesus schickte (trieb, warf) alle hinaus, dann nahm er den Vater und die Mutter des Kindes (Kindleins) und †alle, die bei ihm †waren, mit und ging in †das Zimmer, wo sich das Kind (Kindlein) befand.

Y hacían burla de él: mas él, echados fuera todos, toma al padre y á la madre de la muchacha, y á los que estaban con él, y entra donde la muchacha estaba.

And they laughed him to scorn. But when he had put them all out, he taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and entereth in where the damsel was lying.

They ridiculed him. But he, having put them all out, took the father of the child, her mother, and those who were with him, and went in where the child was lying.

{Und} Er nahm die Hand des Kindes (Kindleins) und sagte zu ihr: „Talita kum!“ , das heißt übersetzt: „Mädchen, ich sage dir, steh (wach) auf!“

Y tomando la mano de la muchacha, le dice: Talitha cumi; que es, si lo interpretares: Muchacha, á ti digo, levántate.

And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise.

Taking the child by the hand, he said to her, “Talitha cumi!” which means, being interpreted, “Girl, I tell you, get up!”

{Und} Das Mädchen erhob sich auf der Stelle (sofort) und begann umherzugehen ; sie war nämlich zwölf Jahre †alt. {Und} Da (sofort) waren †alle vor lauter Fassungslosigkeit (Entgeisterung, Verblüffung, Entsetzen) †ganz fassungslos (außer sich, entgeistert, erstaunt) .

Y luego la muchacha se levantó, y andaba; porque tenía doce años. Y se espantaron de grande espanto.

And straightway the damsel arose, and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great astonishment.

Immediately the girl rose up and walked, for she was twelve years old. They were amazed with great amazement.

Und er machte ihnen unmissverständlich (mehrmals, ausdrücklich) klar (ordnete an, schärfte ein), dass niemand davon erfahren †dürfe, zudem (und) sagte er, †man solle ihr †etwas zu Essen geben.

Mas él les mandó mucho que nadie lo supiese, y dijo que le diesen de comer.

And he charged them straitly that no man should know it; and commanded that something should be given her to eat.

He strictly ordered them that no one should know this, and commanded that something should be given to her to eat.
