Et le roi Hérode en entendit parler, car le nom de Jésus était devenu célèbre. Et il disait : Jean, celui qui baptisait, est ressuscité d'entre les morts ; et c'est pour cela que les puissances miraculeuses agissent en lui.
Y oyó el rey Herodes la fama de Jesús, porque su nombre se había hecho notorio; y dijo: Juan el que bautizaba, ha resucitado de los muertos, y por tanto, virtudes obran en él.
And king Herod heard of him; (for his name was spread abroad:) and he said, That John the Baptist was risen from the dead, and therefore mighty works do shew forth themselves in him.
King Herod heard this, for his name had become known, and he said, “John the Baptizer has risen from the dead, and therefore these powers are at work in him.”
