Étant parti de là, Jésus vint dans sa patrie, et ses disciples le suivirent.

Y SALIÓ de allí, y vino á su tierra, y le siguieron sus discípulos.

Quand le sabbat fut venu, il se mit à enseigner dans la synagogue ; et beaucoup de ceux qui l'entendaient, frappés d'étonnement, disaient : " D'où celui-ci tient-il ces choses ? Quelle est cette sagesse qui lui a été donnée, et comment de tels miracles s'opèrent-ils par ses mains ?

Y llegado el sábado, comenzó á enseñar en la sinagoga; y muchos oyéndole, estaban atónitos, diciendo: ¿De dónde tiene éste estas cosas? ¿Y qué sabiduría es ésta que le es dada, y tales maravillas que por sus manos son hechas?

And when the sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From whence hath this man these things? and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands?

When the Sabbath had come, he began to teach in the synagogue, and many hearing him were astonished, saying, “Where did this man get these things?” and, “What is the wisdom that is given to this man, that such mighty works come about by his hands?

N'est-ce pas le charpentier, le fils de Marie, le frère de Jacques, de Joseph, de Jude et de Simon ? Ses sœurs ne sont-elles pas ici parmi nous ? " Et il se scandalisaient de lui.

¿No es éste el carpintero, hijo de María, hermano de Jacobo, y de José, y de Judas, y de Simón? ¿No están también aquí con nosotros, sus hermanas? Y se escandalizaban en él.

Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him.

Jésus leur dit : " Un prophète n'est sans honneur que dans sa patrie, dans sa maison et dans sa famille. "

Mas Jesús les decía: No hay profeta deshonrado sino en su tierra, y entre sus parientes, y en su casa.

But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house.

Et il ne put faire là aucun miracle, si ce n'est qu'il guérit quelques malades en leur imposant les mains.

Y no pudo hacer allí alguna maravilla; solamente sanó unos pocos enfermos, poniendo sobre ellos las manos.

And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them.

Et il était surpris de leur incrédulité. Ensuite Jésus parcourut les villages d'alentour en enseignant.

Alors il appela près de lui les Douze, et commença à les envoyer deux à deux, en leur donnant pouvoir sur les esprits impurs.

And he called unto him the twelve, and began to send them forth by two and two; and gave them power over unclean spirits;

Il leur recommanda de ne rien prendre pour la route, qu'un bâton seulement, ni sac, ni pain, ni argent dans la ceinture ;

Y les mandó que no llevasen nada para el camino, sino solamente báculo; no alforja, ni pan, ni dinero en la bolsa;

And commanded them that they should take nothing for their journey, save a staff only; no scrip, no bread, no money in their purse:

mais d'être chaussés de sandales, et de ne pas mettre deux tuniques.

Et il leur dit : " Partout où vous serez entrés dans une maison, demeurez-y jusqu'à ce que vous partiez de ce lieu.

Y les decía: Donde quiera que entréis en una casa, posad en ella hasta que salgáis de allí.

And he said unto them, In what place soever ye enter into an house, there abide till ye depart from that place.

He said to them, “Wherever you enter into a house, stay there until you depart from there.

Et si quelque part on refuse de vous recevoir et de vous écouter, sortez de là, et secouez la poussière de dessous vos pieds en témoignage pour eux. "

Y todos aquellos que no os recibieren ni os oyeren, saliendo de allí, sacudid el polvo que está debajo de vuestros pies, en testimonio á ellos. De cierto os digo que más tolerable será el castigo de los de Sodoma y Gomorra el día del juicio, que el de aquella ciudad.

And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.

Whoever will not receive you nor hear you, as you depart from there, shake off the dust that is under your feet for a testimony against them. Assuredly, I tell you, it will be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city!”

Etant donc partis, ils prêchèrent la pénitence ;

Y saliendo, predicaban que los hombres se arrepintiesen.

And they went out, and preached that men should repent.

ils chassaient beaucoup de démons, oignaient d'huile beaucoup de malades et les guérissaient.

Y echaban fuera muchos demonios, y ungían con aceite á muchos enfermos, y sanaban.

Or le roi Hérode entendit parler de Jésus, dont le nom était devenu célèbre, et il disait : " Jean-Baptiste est ressuscité : c'est pourquoi la puissance miraculeuse opère en lui. "

Y oyó el rey Herodes la fama de Jesús, porque su nombre se había hecho notorio; y dijo: Juan el que bautizaba, ha resucitado de los muertos, y por tanto, virtudes obran en él.

And king Herod heard of him; (for his name was spread abroad:) and he said, That John the Baptist was risen from the dead, and therefore mighty works do shew forth themselves in him.

King Herod heard this, for his name had become known, and he said, “John the Baptizer has risen from the dead, and therefore these powers are at work in him.”

Mais d'autres disaient : " C'est Elie " ; et d'autres : " C'est un prophète, semblable à l'un des anciens prophètes. "

Others said, That it is Elias. And others said, That it is a prophet, or as one of the prophets.

Ce qu'Hérode ayant entendu, il dit : " C'est Jean, que j'ai fait décapiter, qui est ressuscité. "

Y oyéndolo Herodes, dijo: Este es Juan el que yo degollé: él ha resucitado de los muertos.

But when Herod heard thereof, he said, It is John, whom I beheaded: he is risen from the dead.

But Herod, when he heard this, said, “This is John, whom I beheaded. He has risen from the dead.”

Car c'était lui, Hérode, qui avait envoyé prendre Jean, et l'avait fait mettre en prison chargé de fers, à cause d'Hérodiade, femme de Philippe, son frère, qu'il avait épousée ;

Porque el mismo Herodes había enviado, y prendido á Juan, y le había aprisionado en la cárcel á causa de Herodías, mujer de Felipe su hermano; pues la había tomado por mujer.

For Herod himself had sent forth and laid hold upon John, and bound him in prison for Herodias’ sake, his brother Philip’s wife: for he had married her.

For Herod himself had sent out and arrested John and bound him in prison for the sake of Herodias, his brother Philip’s wife, for he had married her.

car Jean disait à Hérode : " Il ne t'est pas permis d'avoir la femme de ton frère. "

Porque Juan decía á Herodes: No te es lícito tener la mujer de tu hermano.

For John had said unto Herod, It is not lawful for thee to have thy brother’s wife.

For John had said to Herod, “It is not lawful for you to have your brother’s wife.”

Hérodiade lui était donc hostile, et voulait le faire périr ; mais elle ne le pouvait pas.

Mas Herodías le acechaba, y deseaba matarle, y no podía:

Therefore Herodias had a quarrel against him, and would have killed him; but she could not:

Herodias set herself against him and desired to kill him, but she couldn’t,

Car Hérode, sachant que c'était un homme juste et saint, le vénérait et veillait sur sa vie ; il faisait beaucoup de choses d'après ses conseils et l'écoutait volontiers.

Porque Herodes temía á Juan, sabiendo que era varón justo y santo, y le tenía respeto: y oyéndole, hacía muchas cosas; y le oía de buena gana.

For Herod feared John, knowing that he was a just man and an holy, and observed him; and when he heard him, he did many things, and heard him gladly.

for Herod feared John, knowing that he was a righteous and holy man, and kept him safe. When he heard him, he did many things, and he heard him gladly.

Enfin il se présenta une occasion favorable. Le jour anniversaire de sa naissance, Hérode donna un festin aux grands de sa cour, à ses officiers et aux principaux de la Galilée.

Y venido un día oportuno, en que Herodes, en la fiesta de su nacimiento, daba una cena á sus príncipes y tribunos, y á los principales de Galilea;

And when a convenient day was come, that Herod on his birthday made a supper to his lords, high captains, and chief estates of Galilee;

Then a convenient day came when Herod on his birthday made a supper for his nobles, the high officers, and the chief men of Galilee.

La fille d'Hérodiade étant entrée dans la salle, dansa, et plut tellement à Hérode et à ceux qui étaient à table avec lui, que le roi dit à la jeune fille : " Demande-moi ce que tu voudras, et je te le donnerai. "

Y entrando la hija de Herodías, y danzando, y agradando á Herodes y á los que estaban con él á la mesa, el rey dijo á la muchacha: Pídeme lo que quisieres, que yo te lo daré.

And when the daughter of the said Herodias came in, and danced, and pleased Herod and them that sat with him, the king said unto the damsel, Ask of me whatsoever thou wilt, and I will give it thee.

When the daughter of Herodias herself came in and danced, she pleased Herod and those sitting with him. The king said to the young lady, “Ask me whatever you want, and I will give it to you.”

Et il ajouta avec serment : " Quoi que ce soit que tu me demandes, je te le donnerai, jusqu'à la moitié de mon royaume. "

Y le juró: Todo lo que me pidieres te daré, hasta la mitad de mi reino.

And he sware unto her, Whatsoever thou shalt ask of me, I will give it thee, unto the half of my kingdom.

He swore to her, “Whatever you ask of me, I will give you, up to half of my kingdom.”

Elle sortit et dit à sa mère : " Que demanderai-je ? " Sa mère lui répondit : " La tête de Jean-Baptiste. "

Y saliendo ella, dijo á su madre: ¿Qué pediré? Y ella dijo: La cabeza de Juan Bautista.

And she went forth, and said unto her mother, What shall I ask? And she said, The head of John the Baptist.

She went out and said to her mother, “What shall I ask?” She said, “The head of John the Baptizer.”

Revenant aussitôt avec empressement auprès du roi, la jeune fille lui fit cette demande : " Je veux que tu me donnes, à l'instant, sur un plat, la tête de Jean-Baptiste. "

Entonces ella entró prestamente al rey, y pidió, diciendo: Quiero que ahora mismo me des en un plato la cabeza de Juan Bautista.

And she came in straightway with haste unto the king, and asked, saying, I will that thou give me by and by in a charger the head of John the Baptist.

She came in immediately with haste to the king and requested, “I want you to give me right now the head of John the Baptizer on a platter.”

Le roi fut contristé : néanmoins, à cause de son serment et de ses convives, il ne voulut point l'affliger d'un refus.

Y el rey se entristeció mucho; mas á causa del juramento, y de los que estaban con él á la mesa, no quiso desecharla.

And the king was exceeding sorry; yet for his oath’s sake, and for their sakes which sat with him, he would not reject her.

The king was exceedingly sorry, but for the sake of his oaths and of his dinner guests, he didn’t wish to refuse her.

Il envoya aussitôt un de ses gardes avec l'ordre d'apporter la tête de Jean sur un plat.

Y luego el rey, enviando uno de la guardia, mandó que fuese traída su cabeza;

And immediately the king sent an executioner, and commanded his head to be brought: and he went and beheaded him in the prison,

Immediately the king sent out a soldier of his guard and commanded to bring John’s head; and he went and beheaded him in the prison,

Le garde alla décapiter Jean dans la prison, et apporta sa tête sur un plat ; il la donna à la jeune fille, et la jeune fille la donna à sa mère.

El cual fué, y le degolló en la cárcel, y trajo su cabeza en un plato, y la dió á la muchacha, y la muchacha la dió á su madre.

And brought his head in a charger, and gave it to the damsel: and the damsel gave it to her mother.

and brought his head on a platter, and gave it to the young lady; and the young lady gave it to her mother.

Les disciples de Jean l'ayant appris, vinrent prendre son corps et le mirent dans un sépulcre.

Y oyéndolo sus discípulos, vinieron y tomaron su cuerpo, y le pusieron en un sepulcro.

And when his disciples heard of it, they came and took up his corpse, and laid it in a tomb.

De retour près de Jésus, les Apôtres lui rendirent compte de tout ce qu'ils avaient fait et de tout ce qu'ils avaient enseigné.

Il leur dit : " Venez, vous autres, à l'écart, dans un lieu désert, et prenez un peu de repos. " Car il y avait tant de personnes qui allaient et venaient, que les Apôtres n'avaient pas même le temps de manger.

Y él les dijo: Venid vosotros aparte al lugar desierto, y reposad un poco. Porque eran muchos los que iban y venían, que ni aun tenían lugar de comer.

And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.

He said to them, “Come away into a deserted place, and rest awhile.” For there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.

Ils s'embarquèrent donc et se retirèrent à l'écart dans un lieu solitaire.

Y se fueron en un barco al lugar desierto aparte.

And they departed into a desert place by ship privately.

They went away in the boat to a deserted place by themselves.

On les vit partir, et beaucoup de gens ayant deviné où ils allaient, de toutes les villes on accourut par terre en ce lieu, et on y arriva avant eux.

Y los vieron ir muchos, y le conocieron; y concurrieron allá muchos á pie de las ciudades, y llegaron antes que ellos, y se juntaron á él.

And the people saw them departing, and many knew him, and ran afoot thither out of all cities, and outwent them, and came together unto him.

They saw them going, and many recognized him and ran there on foot from all the cities. They arrived before them and came together to him.

Lorsque Jésus débarqua, il vit une grande multitude, et il en eut compassion, parce qu'ils étaient comme des brebis sans pasteur, et il se mit à leur enseigner beaucoup de choses.

Y saliendo Jesús vió grande multitud, y tuvo compasión de ellos, porque eran como ovejas que no tenían pastor; y les comenzó á enseñar muchas cosas.

And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things.

Jesus came out, saw a great multitude, and he had compassion on them because they were like sheep without a shepherd; and he began to teach them many things.

Comme l'heure était déjà avancée, ses disciples vinrent lui dirent : " Ce lieu est désert et déjà l'heure est avancée ;

Y como ya fuese el día muy entrado, sus discípulos llegaron á él, diciendo: El lugar es desierto, y el día ya muy entrado;

And when the day was now far spent, his disciples came unto him, and said, This is a desert place, and now the time is far passed:

When it was late in the day, his disciples came to him and said, “This place is deserted, and it is late in the day.

renvoyez-les, afin qu'ils aillent dans les fermes et les villages des environs, pour s'acheter de quoi manger. "

Envíalos para que vayan á los cortijos y aldeas de alrededor, y compren para sí pan; porque no tienen qué comer.

Send them away, that they may go into the country round about, and into the villages, and buy themselves bread: for they have nothing to eat.

Il leur répondit : " Donnez-leur vous-mêmes à manger. " Et ils lui dirent : " Irons-nous donc acheter pour deux cents deniers de pain, afin de leur donner à manger ? "

Y respondiendo él, les dijo: Dadles de comer vosotros. Y le dijeron: ¿Que vayamos y compremos pan por doscientos denarios, y les demos de comer?

He answered and said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And they say unto him, Shall we go and buy two hundred pennyworth of bread, and give them to eat?

But he answered them, “You give them something to eat.” They asked him, “Shall we go and buy two hundred denarii worth of bread and give them something to eat?”

Il leur demanda : " Combien avez-vous de pains ? Allez et voyez. " S'en étant instruits, ils lui dirent : " Cinq pains et deux poissons. "

Y él les dice: ¿Cuántos panes tenéis? Id, y vedlo. Y sabiéndolo, dijeron: Cinco, y dos peces.

He saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? go and see. And when they knew, they say, Five, and two fishes.

He said to them, “How many loaves do you have? Go see.” When they knew, they said, “Five, and two fish.”

Alors il leur commanda de les faire tous asseoir, par compagnies, sur l'herbe verte ;

Y les mandó que hiciesen recostar á todos por partidas sobre la hierba verde.

And he commanded them to make all sit down by companies upon the green grass.

He commanded them that everyone should sit down in groups on the green grass.

et ils s'assirent par groupes de cent et de cinquante.

Y se recostaron por partidas, de ciento en ciento, y de cincuenta en cincuenta.

And they sat down in ranks, by hundreds, and by fifties.

Jésus prit les cinq pains et les deux poissons, et, levant les yeux au ciel, il prononça la bénédiction. Puis il rompit les pains et les donna à ses disciples, pour qu'ils les distribuassent au peuple ; il partagea aussi les deux poissons entre tous.

Y tomados los cinco panes y los dos peces, mirando al cielo, bendijo, y partió los panes, y dió á sus discípulos para que los pusiesen delante: y repartió á todos los dos peces.

And when he had taken the five loaves and the two fishes, he looked up to heaven, and blessed, and brake the loaves, and gave them to his disciples to set before them; and the two fishes divided he among them all.

Tous mangèrent et furent rassasiés,

Y comieron todos, y se hartaron.

et l'on emporta douze corbeilles pleines de morceaux de pain et de ce qui restait des poissons.

And they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments, and of the fishes.

Or ceux qui avaient mangé étaient au nombre de cinq mille hommes.

And they that did eat of the loaves were about five thousand men.

Aussitôt après, Jésus obligea ses disciples de monter dans la barque, et de passer avant lui de l'autre côté du lac, vers Bethsaïde, pendant que lui-même renverrait le peuple.

Y luego dió priesa á sus discípulos á subir en el barco, é ir delante de él á Bethsaida de la otra parte, entre tanto que él despedía la multitud.

And straightway he constrained his disciples to get into the ship, and to go to the other side before unto Bethsaida, while he sent away the people.

Immediately he made his disciples get into the boat and go ahead to the other side, to Bethsaida, while he himself sent the multitude away.

Et après qu'il en eut pris congé, il alla sur la montagne pour prier.

Y después que los hubo despedido, se fué al monte á orar.

And when he had sent them away, he departed into a mountain to pray.

After he had taken leave of them, he went up the mountain to pray.

Le soir étant venu, la barque était au milieu de la mer, et Jésus était seul à terre.

Y como fué la tarde, el barco estaba en medio de la mar, y él solo en tierra.

And when even was come, the ship was in the midst of the sea, and he alone on the land.

When evening had come, the boat was in the middle of the sea, and he was alone on the land.

Voyant qu'ils avaient beaucoup de peine à ramer, (car le vent leur était contraire), vers la quatrième veille de la nuit, il alla vers eux, marchant sur la mer ; et il voulait les dépasser.

Y los vió fatigados bogando, porque el viento les era contrario: y cerca de la cuarta vigilia de la noche, vino á ellos andando sobre la mar, y quería precederlos.

And he saw them toiling in rowing; for the wind was contrary unto them: and about the fourth watch of the night he cometh unto them, walking upon the sea, and would have passed by them.

Seeing them distressed in rowing, for the wind was contrary to them, about the fourth watch of the night he came to them, walking on the sea; and he would have passed by them,

Mais eux, le voyant marcher sur la mer, crurent que c'était un fantôme et poussèrent des cris.

Y viéndole ellos, que andaba sobre la mar, pensaron que era fantasma, y dieron voces;

But when they saw him walking upon the sea, they supposed it had been a spirit, and cried out:

but they, when they saw him walking on the sea, supposed that it was a ghost, and cried out;

Car ils le voyaient tous, et ils étaient bouleversés. Aussitôt il leur parla et leur dit : " Ayez confiance, c'est moi, ne craignez point. "

Porque todos le veían, y se turbaron. Mas luego habló con ellos, y les dijo: Alentaos; yo soy, no temáis.

For they all saw him, and were troubled. And immediately he talked with them, and saith unto them, Be of good cheer: it is I; be not afraid.

for they all saw him and were troubled. But he immediately spoke with them and said to them, “Cheer up! It is I! Don’t be afraid.”

Il monta ensuite auprès d'eux dans la barque, et le vent cessa ; or leur étonnement était au comble et les mettait hors d'eux-mêmes ;

Y subió á ellos en el barco, y calmó el viento: y ellos en gran manera estaban fuera de sí, y se maravillaban:

And he went up unto them into the ship; and the wind ceased: and they were sore amazed in themselves beyond measure, and wondered.

He got into the boat with them; and the wind ceased, and they were very amazed among themselves, and marveled;

car ils n'avaient pas compris le miracle des pains, parce que leur cœur était aveuglé.

Porque aun no habían considerado lo de los panes, por cuanto estaban ofuscados sus corazones.

For they considered not the miracle of the loaves: for their heart was hardened.

for they hadn’t understood about the loaves, but their hearts were hardened.

Après avoir traversé le lac, ils vinrent au territoire de Génésareth et y abordèrent.

Y cuando estuvieron de la otra parte, vinieron á tierra de Genezaret, y tomaron puerto.

And when they had passed over, they came into the land of Gennesaret, and drew to the shore.

When they had crossed over, they came to land at Gennesaret and moored to the shore.

Quand ils furent sortis de la barque, les gens du pays, ayant aussitôt reconnu Jésus,

Y saliendo ellos del barco, luego le conocieron.

And when they were come out of the ship, straightway they knew him,

When they had come out of the boat, immediately the people recognized him,

parcoururent tous les environs, et l'on se mit à lui apporter les malades sur leurs grabats, partout où l'on apprenait qu'il était.

Y recorriendo toda la tierra de alrededor, comenzaron á traer de todas partes enfermos en lechos, á donde oían que estaba.

And ran through that whole region round about, and began to carry about in beds those that were sick, where they heard he was.

and ran around that whole region, and began to bring those who were sick on their mats to where they heard he was.

En quelque lieu qu'il arrivât, dans les villages, dans les villes et dans les campagnes, on mettait les malades sur les places publiques, et on le priait de les laisser seulement toucher la houppe de son manteau ; et tous ceux qui pouvaient le toucher étaient guéris.

Y donde quiera que entraba, en aldeas, ó ciudades, ó heredades, ponían en las calles á los que estaban enfermos, y le rogaban que tocasen siquiera el borde de su vestido; y todos los que le tocaban quedaban sanos.
