Puis il partit de là, et vint en son pays ; et ses Disciples le suivirent.

Y SALIÓ de allí, y vino á su tierra, y le siguieron sus discípulos.

And he went out from thence, and came into his own country; and his disciples follow him.

Et le jour du Sabbat étant venu, il se mit à enseigner dans la Synagogue ; et beaucoup de ceux qui l’entendaient, étaient dans l’étonnement, et ils disaient : d’où viennent ces choses à celui-ci ? et quelle est cette sagesse qui lui est donnée ; et que même de tels prodiges se fassent par ses mains ?

Y llegado el sábado, comenzó á enseñar en la sinagoga; y muchos oyéndole, estaban atónitos, diciendo: ¿De dónde tiene éste estas cosas? ¿Y qué sabiduría es ésta que le es dada, y tales maravillas que por sus manos son hechas?

And when the sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From whence hath this man these things? and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands?

When the Sabbath had come, he began to teach in the synagogue, and many hearing him were astonished, saying, “Where did this man get these things?” and, “What is the wisdom that is given to this man, that such mighty works come about by his hands?

Celui-ci n’est-il pas charpentier ? fils de Marie, frère de Jacques, et de Joses, et de Jude, et de Simon ? et ses soeurs ne sont-elles pas ici parmi nous ? et ils étaient scandalisés à cause de lui.

¿No es éste el carpintero, hijo de María, hermano de Jacobo, y de José, y de Judas, y de Simón? ¿No están también aquí con nosotros, sus hermanas? Y se escandalizaban en él.

Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him.

Isn’t this the carpenter, the son of Mary and brother of James, Joses, Judah, and Simon? Aren’t his sisters here with us?” So they were offended at him.

Mais Jésus leur dit : un Prophète n’est sans honneur que dans son pays, et parmi ses parents et ceux de sa famille.

Mas Jesús les decía: No hay profeta deshonrado sino en su tierra, y entre sus parientes, y en su casa.

But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house.

Et il ne put faire là aucun miracle, sinon qu’il guérit quelque peu de malades, en leur imposant les mains.

Y no pudo hacer allí alguna maravilla; solamente sanó unos pocos enfermos, poniendo sobre ellos las manos.

And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them.

Et il s’étonnait de leur incrédulité, et parcourait les villages d’alentour, en enseignant.

Y estaba maravillado de la incredulidad de ellos. Y rodeaba las aldeas de alrededor, enseñando.

And he marvelled because of their unbelief. And he went round about the villages, teaching.

Alors il appela les douze, et commença à les envoyer deux à deux, et leur donna puissance sur les esprits immondes.

And he called unto him the twelve, and began to send them forth by two and two; and gave them power over unclean spirits;

Et il leur commanda de ne rien prendre pour le chemin, qu’un seul bâton, et de ne porter ni sac, ni pain, ni monnaie dans leur ceinture ;

Y les mandó que no llevasen nada para el camino, sino solamente báculo; no alforja, ni pan, ni dinero en la bolsa;

And commanded them that they should take nothing for their journey, save a staff only; no scrip, no bread, no money in their purse:

Mais d’être chaussés de souliers, et de ne porter point deux robes.

Mas que calzasen sandalias, y no vistiesen dos túnicas.

But be shod with sandals; and not put on two coats.

Il leur disait aussi : partout où vous entrerez dans une maison, demeurez- y jusqu’à ce que vous partiez de là.

Y les decía: Donde quiera que entréis en una casa, posad en ella hasta que salgáis de allí.

And he said unto them, In what place soever ye enter into an house, there abide till ye depart from that place.

He said to them, “Wherever you enter into a house, stay there until you depart from there.

Et tous ceux qui ne vous recevront point, et ne vous écouteront point, en partant de là, secouez la poussière de vos pieds, pour être un témoignage contre eux. En vérité je vous dis, que ceux de Sodome et de Gomorrhe seront traités moins rigoureusement au jour du jugement que cette ville-là.

Y todos aquellos que no os recibieren ni os oyeren, saliendo de allí, sacudid el polvo que está debajo de vuestros pies, en testimonio á ellos. De cierto os digo que más tolerable será el castigo de los de Sodoma y Gomorra el día del juicio, que el de aquella ciudad.

And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.

Whoever will not receive you nor hear you, as you depart from there, shake off the dust that is under your feet for a testimony against them. Assuredly, I tell you, it will be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city!”

Etant donc partis, ils prêchèrent qu’on s’amendât.

Y saliendo, predicaban que los hombres se arrepintiesen.

And they went out, and preached that men should repent.

Et ils chassèrent plusieurs démons hors des possédés, et oignirent d’huile plusieurs malades, et les guérirent.

Y echaban fuera muchos demonios, y ungían con aceite á muchos enfermos, y sanaban.

And they cast out many devils, and anointed with oil many that were sick, and healed them.

Or le Roi Hérode en ouït parler, car le nom de Jésus était devenu fort célèbre, et il dit : Ce Jean qui baptisait, est ressuscité des morts ; c’est pourquoi la vertu de faire des miracles agit puissamment en lui.

Y oyó el rey Herodes la fama de Jesús, porque su nombre se había hecho notorio; y dijo: Juan el que bautizaba, ha resucitado de los muertos, y por tanto, virtudes obran en él.

And king Herod heard of him; (for his name was spread abroad:) and he said, That John the Baptist was risen from the dead, and therefore mighty works do shew forth themselves in him.

King Herod heard this, for his name had become known, and he said, “John the Baptizer has risen from the dead, and therefore these powers are at work in him.”

Les autres disaient : c’est Elie ; et les autres disaient : c’est un Prophète, ou comme un des Prophètes.

Otros decían: Elías es. Y otros decían: Profeta es, ó alguno de los profetas.

Others said, That it is Elias. And others said, That it is a prophet, or as one of the prophets.

But others said, “He is Elijah.” Others said, “He is a prophet, or like one of the prophets.”

Quand donc Hérode eut appris cela, il dit : c’est Jean que j’ai fait décapiter, il est ressuscité des morts.

Y oyéndolo Herodes, dijo: Este es Juan el que yo degollé: él ha resucitado de los muertos.

But when Herod heard thereof, he said, It is John, whom I beheaded: he is risen from the dead.

But Herod, when he heard this, said, “This is John, whom I beheaded. He has risen from the dead.”

Car Hérode avait envoyé prendre Jean, et l’avait fait lier dans une prison, à cause d’Hérodias femme de Philippe son frère, parce qu’il l’avait prise en mariage.

Porque el mismo Herodes había enviado, y prendido á Juan, y le había aprisionado en la cárcel á causa de Herodías, mujer de Felipe su hermano; pues la había tomado por mujer.

For Herod himself had sent forth and laid hold upon John, and bound him in prison for Herodias’ sake, his brother Philip’s wife: for he had married her.

For Herod himself had sent out and arrested John and bound him in prison for the sake of Herodias, his brother Philip’s wife, for he had married her.

Car Jean disait à Hérode : il ne t’est pas permis d’avoir la femme de ton frère.

Porque Juan decía á Herodes: No te es lícito tener la mujer de tu hermano.

For John had said unto Herod, It is not lawful for thee to have thy brother’s wife.

For John had said to Herod, “It is not lawful for you to have your brother’s wife.”

C’est pourquoi Hérodias lui en voulait, et désirait de le faire mourir, mais elle ne pouvait.

Mas Herodías le acechaba, y deseaba matarle, y no podía:

Therefore Herodias had a quarrel against him, and would have killed him; but she could not:

Herodias set herself against him and desired to kill him, but she couldn’t,

Car Hérode craignait Jean, sachant que c’était un homme juste et saint, et il avait du respect pour lui, et lorsqu’il l’avait entendu, il faisait beaucoup de choses que Jean avait dit de faire, car il l’écoutait volontiers.

Porque Herodes temía á Juan, sabiendo que era varón justo y santo, y le tenía respeto: y oyéndole, hacía muchas cosas; y le oía de buena gana.

For Herod feared John, knowing that he was a just man and an holy, and observed him; and when he heard him, he did many things, and heard him gladly.

for Herod feared John, knowing that he was a righteous and holy man, and kept him safe. When he heard him, he did many things, and he heard him gladly.

Mais un jour étant venu à propos, qu’Hérode faisait le festin du jour de sa naissance aux grands Seigneurs, et aux Capitaines, et aux Principaux de la Galilée,

Y venido un día oportuno, en que Herodes, en la fiesta de su nacimiento, daba una cena á sus príncipes y tribunos, y á los principales de Galilea;

And when a convenient day was come, that Herod on his birthday made a supper to his lords, high captains, and chief estates of Galilee;

Then a convenient day came when Herod on his birthday made a supper for his nobles, the high officers, and the chief men of Galilee.

La fille d’Hérodias y entra, et dansa, et ayant plu à Hérode, et à ceux qui étaient à table avec lui, le Roi dit à la jeune fille : demande-moi ce que tu voudras, et je te le donnerai.

Y entrando la hija de Herodías, y danzando, y agradando á Herodes y á los que estaban con él á la mesa, el rey dijo á la muchacha: Pídeme lo que quisieres, que yo te lo daré.

And when the daughter of the said Herodias came in, and danced, and pleased Herod and them that sat with him, the king said unto the damsel, Ask of me whatsoever thou wilt, and I will give it thee.

When the daughter of Herodias herself came in and danced, she pleased Herod and those sitting with him. The king said to the young lady, “Ask me whatever you want, and I will give it to you.”

Et il lui jura, disant : tout ce que tu me demanderas, je te le donnerai, jusqu’à la moitié de mon Royaume.

Y le juró: Todo lo que me pidieres te daré, hasta la mitad de mi reino.

And he sware unto her, Whatsoever thou shalt ask of me, I will give it thee, unto the half of my kingdom.

He swore to her, “Whatever you ask of me, I will give you, up to half of my kingdom.”

Et elle étant sortie, dit à sa mère : qu’est-ce que je demanderai ? Et sa mère lui dit : la tête de Jean Baptiste.

Y saliendo ella, dijo á su madre: ¿Qué pediré? Y ella dijo: La cabeza de Juan Bautista.

And she went forth, and said unto her mother, What shall I ask? And she said, The head of John the Baptist.

She went out and said to her mother, “What shall I ask?” She said, “The head of John the Baptizer.”

Puis étant aussitôt rentrée avec empressement vers le Roi, elle lui fit sa demande, en disant : je voudrais qu’incessamment tu me donnasses dans un plat la tête de Jean Baptiste.

Entonces ella entró prestamente al rey, y pidió, diciendo: Quiero que ahora mismo me des en un plato la cabeza de Juan Bautista.

And she came in straightway with haste unto the king, and asked, saying, I will that thou give me by and by in a charger the head of John the Baptist.

She came in immediately with haste to the king and requested, “I want you to give me right now the head of John the Baptizer on a platter.”

Et le Roi en fut très marri, mais il ne voulut pas la refuser à cause du serment, et de ceux qui étaient à table avec lui :

Y el rey se entristeció mucho; mas á causa del juramento, y de los que estaban con él á la mesa, no quiso desecharla.

And the king was exceeding sorry; yet for his oath’s sake, and for their sakes which sat with him, he would not reject her.

The king was exceedingly sorry, but for the sake of his oaths and of his dinner guests, he didn’t wish to refuse her.

Et il envoya incontinent un de ses gardes, et lui commanda d’apporter la tête de Jean : le garde y alla, et décapita Jean dans la prison ;

Y luego el rey, enviando uno de la guardia, mandó que fuese traída su cabeza;

And immediately the king sent an executioner, and commanded his head to be brought: and he went and beheaded him in the prison,

Immediately the king sent out a soldier of his guard and commanded to bring John’s head; and he went and beheaded him in the prison,

Et apporta sa tête dans un plat, et la donna à la jeune fille, et la jeune fille la donna à sa mère.

El cual fué, y le degolló en la cárcel, y trajo su cabeza en un plato, y la dió á la muchacha, y la muchacha la dió á su madre.

And brought his head in a charger, and gave it to the damsel: and the damsel gave it to her mother.

and brought his head on a platter, and gave it to the young lady; and the young lady gave it to her mother.

Ce que les disciples de Jean ayant appris, ils vinrent et emportèrent son corps, et le mirent dans un sépulcre.

Y oyéndolo sus discípulos, vinieron y tomaron su cuerpo, y le pusieron en un sepulcro.

And when his disciples heard of it, they came and took up his corpse, and laid it in a tomb.

Or les Apôtres se rassemblèrent vers Jésus, et lui racontèrent tout ce qu’ils avaient fait, et enseigné.

Y los apóstoles se juntaron con Jesús, y le contaron todo lo que habían hecho, y lo que habían enseñado.

And the apostles gathered themselves together unto Jesus, and told him all things, both what they had done, and what they had taught.

Et il leur dit : venez-vous-en à l’écart dans un lieu retiré, et vous reposez un peu ; car il y avait beaucoup de gens qui allaient et qui venaient, de sorte qu’ils n’avaient pas même le loisir de manger.

Y él les dijo: Venid vosotros aparte al lugar desierto, y reposad un poco. Porque eran muchos los que iban y venían, que ni aun tenían lugar de comer.

And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.

He said to them, “Come away into a deserted place, and rest awhile.” For there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.

Ils s’en allèrent donc dans une nacelle en un lieu retiré, pour y être en particulier.

Y se fueron en un barco al lugar desierto aparte.

And they departed into a desert place by ship privately.

They went away in the boat to a deserted place by themselves.

Mais le peuple vit qu’ils s’en allaient, et plusieurs l’ayant reconnu, y accoururent à pied de toutes les villes, et y arrivèrent avant eux, et s’assemblèrent auprès de lui.

Y los vieron ir muchos, y le conocieron; y concurrieron allá muchos á pie de las ciudades, y llegaron antes que ellos, y se juntaron á él.

And the people saw them departing, and many knew him, and ran afoot thither out of all cities, and outwent them, and came together unto him.

They saw them going, and many recognized him and ran there on foot from all the cities. They arrived before them and came together to him.

Et Jésus étant sorti, vit là de grandes troupes, et il fut ému de compassion envers elles, de ce qu’elles étaient comme des brebis qui n’ont point de pasteur ; et il se mit à leur enseigner plusieurs choses.

Y saliendo Jesús vió grande multitud, y tuvo compasión de ellos, porque eran como ovejas que no tenían pastor; y les comenzó á enseñar muchas cosas.

And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things.

Jesus came out, saw a great multitude, and he had compassion on them because they were like sheep without a shepherd; and he began to teach them many things.

Et comme il était déjà tard, ses Disciples s’approchèrent de lui, en disant : ce lieu est désert, et il est déjà tard.

Y como ya fuese el día muy entrado, sus discípulos llegaron á él, diciendo: El lugar es desierto, y el día ya muy entrado;

And when the day was now far spent, his disciples came unto him, and said, This is a desert place, and now the time is far passed:

When it was late in the day, his disciples came to him and said, “This place is deserted, and it is late in the day.

Donne-leur congé, afin qu’ils s’en aillent aux villages et aux bourgades d’alentour, et qu’ils achètent des pains pour eux ; car ils n’ont rien à manger.

Envíalos para que vayan á los cortijos y aldeas de alrededor, y compren para sí pan; porque no tienen qué comer.

Send them away, that they may go into the country round about, and into the villages, and buy themselves bread: for they have nothing to eat.

Send them away, that they may go into the surrounding country and villages and buy themselves bread, for they have nothing to eat.”

Et il leur répondit, et dit : donnez-leur vous-mêmes à manger. Et ils lui dirent : irions-nous acheter pour deux cents deniers de pain, afin de leur donner à manger ?

Y respondiendo él, les dijo: Dadles de comer vosotros. Y le dijeron: ¿Que vayamos y compremos pan por doscientos denarios, y les demos de comer?

He answered and said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And they say unto him, Shall we go and buy two hundred pennyworth of bread, and give them to eat?

But he answered them, “You give them something to eat.” They asked him, “Shall we go and buy two hundred denarii worth of bread and give them something to eat?”

Et il leur dit : combien avez-vous de pains ? allez et regardez. Et après l’avoir su, ils dirent : cinq, et deux poissons.

Y él les dice: ¿Cuántos panes tenéis? Id, y vedlo. Y sabiéndolo, dijeron: Cinco, y dos peces.

He saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? go and see. And when they knew, they say, Five, and two fishes.

He said to them, “How many loaves do you have? Go see.” When they knew, they said, “Five, and two fish.”

Alors il leur commanda de les faire tous asseoir par troupes sur l’herbe verte.

Y les mandó que hiciesen recostar á todos por partidas sobre la hierba verde.

And he commanded them to make all sit down by companies upon the green grass.

He commanded them that everyone should sit down in groups on the green grass.

Et ils s’assirent par troupes, les unes de cent, et les autres de cinquante personnes.

Y se recostaron por partidas, de ciento en ciento, y de cincuenta en cincuenta.

And they sat down in ranks, by hundreds, and by fifties.

Et quand il eut pris les cinq pains et les deux poissons, regardant vers le ciel, il bénit Dieu, et rompit les pains, puis il les donna à ses Disciples, afin qu’ils les missent devant eux, et il partagea à tous les deux poissons.

Y tomados los cinco panes y los dos peces, mirando al cielo, bendijo, y partió los panes, y dió á sus discípulos para que los pusiesen delante: y repartió á todos los dos peces.

And when he had taken the five loaves and the two fishes, he looked up to heaven, and blessed, and brake the loaves, and gave them to his disciples to set before them; and the two fishes divided he among them all.

He took the five loaves and the two fish; and looking up to heaven, he blessed and broke the loaves, and he gave to his disciples to set before them, and he divided the two fish among them all.

Et ils en mangèrent tous, et furent rassasiés.

Y comieron todos, y se hartaron.

And they did all eat, and were filled.

Et on emporta des pièces de pain douze corbeilles pleines, et quelques restes des poissons.

Y alzaron de los pedazos doce cofines llenos, y de los peces.

And they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments, and of the fishes.

They took up twelve baskets full of broken pieces and also of the fish.

Or ceux qui avaient mangé des pains étaient environ cinq mille hommes.

Y los que comieron eran cinco mil hombres.

And they that did eat of the loaves were about five thousand men.

Those who ate the loaves were five thousand men.

Et aussitôt après il obligea ses Disciples de monter sur la nacelle, et d’aller devant lui au delà de la mer vers Bethsaïda, pendant qu’il donnerait congé aux troupes.

Y luego dió priesa á sus discípulos á subir en el barco, é ir delante de él á Bethsaida de la otra parte, entre tanto que él despedía la multitud.

And straightway he constrained his disciples to get into the ship, and to go to the other side before unto Bethsaida, while he sent away the people.

Immediately he made his disciples get into the boat and go ahead to the other side, to Bethsaida, while he himself sent the multitude away.

Et quand il leur eut donné congé, il s’en alla sur la montagne pour prier .

Y después que los hubo despedido, se fué al monte á orar.

And when he had sent them away, he departed into a mountain to pray.

After he had taken leave of them, he went up the mountain to pray.

Et le soir étant venu, la nacelle était au milieu de la mer, et lui seul était à terre.

Y como fué la tarde, el barco estaba en medio de la mar, y él solo en tierra.

And when even was come, the ship was in the midst of the sea, and he alone on the land.

When evening had come, the boat was in the middle of the sea, and he was alone on the land.

Et il vit qu’ils avaient grande peine à ramer, parce que le vent leur était contraire ; et environ la quatrième veille de la nuit, il alla vers eux marchant sur la mer, et il les voulait devancer.

Y los vió fatigados bogando, porque el viento les era contrario: y cerca de la cuarta vigilia de la noche, vino á ellos andando sobre la mar, y quería precederlos.

And he saw them toiling in rowing; for the wind was contrary unto them: and about the fourth watch of the night he cometh unto them, walking upon the sea, and would have passed by them.

Seeing them distressed in rowing, for the wind was contrary to them, about the fourth watch of the night he came to them, walking on the sea; and he would have passed by them,

Mais quand ils le virent marchant sur la mer, ils crurent que ce fût un fantôme, et ils s’écrièrent.

Y viéndole ellos, que andaba sobre la mar, pensaron que era fantasma, y dieron voces;

But when they saw him walking upon the sea, they supposed it had been a spirit, and cried out:

but they, when they saw him walking on the sea, supposed that it was a ghost, and cried out;

Car ils le virent tous, et ils furent troublés ; mais il leur parla aussitôt, et leur dit : rassurez-vous, c’est moi ; n’ayez point de peur.

Porque todos le veían, y se turbaron. Mas luego habló con ellos, y les dijo: Alentaos; yo soy, no temáis.

For they all saw him, and were troubled. And immediately he talked with them, and saith unto them, Be of good cheer: it is I; be not afraid.

for they all saw him and were troubled. But he immediately spoke with them and said to them, “Cheer up! It is I! Don’t be afraid.”

Et il monta vers eux dans la nacelle, et le vent cessa ; ce qui augmenta beaucoup leur étonnement et leur admiration.

Y subió á ellos en el barco, y calmó el viento: y ellos en gran manera estaban fuera de sí, y se maravillaban:

And he went up unto them into the ship; and the wind ceased: and they were sore amazed in themselves beyond measure, and wondered.

He got into the boat with them; and the wind ceased, and they were very amazed among themselves, and marveled;

Car ils n’avaient pas bien fait réflexion au miracle des pains ; à cause que leur coeur était stupide.

Porque aun no habían considerado lo de los panes, por cuanto estaban ofuscados sus corazones.

For they considered not the miracle of the loaves: for their heart was hardened.

for they hadn’t understood about the loaves, but their hearts were hardened.

Et quand ils furent passés au delà de la mer, ils arrivèrent en la contrée de Génézareth, où ils abordèrent.

Y cuando estuvieron de la otra parte, vinieron á tierra de Genezaret, y tomaron puerto.

And when they had passed over, they came into the land of Gennesaret, and drew to the shore.

When they had crossed over, they came to land at Gennesaret and moored to the shore.

Et après qu’ils furent sortis de la nacelle, ceux du lieu le reconnurent d’abord.

Y saliendo ellos del barco, luego le conocieron.

And when they were come out of the ship, straightway they knew him,

When they had come out of the boat, immediately the people recognized him,

Et ils coururent çà et là par toute la contrée d’alentour, et se mirent à lui apporter de tous côtés les malades dans de petits lits, là où ils entendaient dire qu’il était.

Y recorriendo toda la tierra de alrededor, comenzaron á traer de todas partes enfermos en lechos, á donde oían que estaba.

And ran through that whole region round about, and began to carry about in beds those that were sick, where they heard he was.

and ran around that whole region, and began to bring those who were sick on their mats to where they heard he was.
