Und Er ging hinaus von dannen und kam in Seine Vaterstadt, und Seine Jünger folgen Ihm nach.

Y SALIÓ de allí, y vino á su tierra, y le siguieron sus discípulos.

And he went out from thence, and came into his own country; and his disciples follow him.

Und da es Sabbath ward, fing Er an zu lehren in der Synagoge, und viele, die Ihn hörten, staunten und sagten: Woher hat Dieser solches und was ist das für eine Weisheit, die Ihm gegeben ist, und daß solche Wunderkräfte durch Seine Hände geschehen?

Y llegado el sábado, comenzó á enseñar en la sinagoga; y muchos oyéndole, estaban atónitos, diciendo: ¿De dónde tiene éste estas cosas? ¿Y qué sabiduría es ésta que le es dada, y tales maravillas que por sus manos son hechas?

And when the sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From whence hath this man these things? and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands?

When the Sabbath had come, he began to teach in the synagogue, and many hearing him were astonished, saying, “Where did this man get these things?” and, “What is the wisdom that is given to this man, that such mighty works come about by his hands?

Ist Der nicht der Zimmermann, Marias Sohn, der Bruder des Jakobus und des Joses und des Judas und des Simon? Und sind nicht Seine Schwestern hier bei uns? Und sie ärgerten sich an Ihm.

¿No es éste el carpintero, hijo de María, hermano de Jacobo, y de José, y de Judas, y de Simón? ¿No están también aquí con nosotros, sus hermanas? Y se escandalizaban en él.

Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him.

Isn’t this the carpenter, the son of Mary and brother of James, Joses, Judah, and Simon? Aren’t his sisters here with us?” So they were offended at him.

Jesus aber sprach zu ihnen: Ein Prophet ist nirgends ohne Ehre, als in seiner Vaterstadt und bei den Verwandten und in seinem Hause.

Mas Jesús les decía: No hay profeta deshonrado sino en su tierra, y entre sus parientes, y en su casa.

But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house.

Und Er konnte dort keine einzige Wundertat tun, außer daß Er einigen Siechen die Hände auflegte und sie heilte.

And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them.

Und Er verwunderte Sich über ihren Unglauben. Und Er zog umher in den Flecken im Umkreis und lehrte.

And he marvelled because of their unbelief. And he went round about the villages, teaching.

Und Er rief die Zwölfe zu Sich, und fing an sie je zwei und zwei auszusenden und gab ihnen Gewalt über die unreinen Geister;

And he called unto him the twelve, and began to send them forth by two and two; and gave them power over unclean spirits;

Und entbot ihnen, sie sollten nichts mit sich auf den Weg nehmen, denn allein einen Stab; keine Tasche, kein Brot, kein Kupfer in den Gürtel;

And commanded them that they should take nothing for their journey, save a staff only; no scrip, no bread, no money in their purse:

Sondern sie sollten sich Sohlen unterbinden, und nicht zwei Röcke anziehen.

Mas que calzasen sandalias, y no vistiesen dos túnicas.

Und Er sagte ihnen: Wenn ihr in ein Haus eingehet, so bleibet allda, bis ihr von dannen ausziehet.

Y les decía: Donde quiera que entréis en una casa, posad en ella hasta que salgáis de allí.

And he said unto them, In what place soever ye enter into an house, there abide till ye depart from that place.

He said to them, “Wherever you enter into a house, stay there until you depart from there.

Und welche euch nicht aufnehmen, noch euch hören, da ziehet aus von dannen und schüttelt den Staub unter euren Füßen ab zum Zeugnis über sie. Wahrlich, Ich sage euch, es wird Sodom und Gomorrah am Tage des Gerichts erträglicher sein denn selbiger Stadt.

Y todos aquellos que no os recibieren ni os oyeren, saliendo de allí, sacudid el polvo que está debajo de vuestros pies, en testimonio á ellos. De cierto os digo que más tolerable será el castigo de los de Sodoma y Gomorra el día del juicio, que el de aquella ciudad.

And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.

Whoever will not receive you nor hear you, as you depart from there, shake off the dust that is under your feet for a testimony against them. Assuredly, I tell you, it will be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city!”

Und sie zogen aus und predigten, man solle Buße tun,

Y saliendo, predicaban que los hombres se arrepintiesen.

And they went out, and preached that men should repent.

Und trieben viele Dämonen aus und salbten viele Sieche mit Öl und heilten sie.

Y echaban fuera muchos demonios, y ungían con aceite á muchos enfermos, y sanaban.

And they cast out many devils, and anointed with oil many that were sick, and healed them.

Und König Herodes hörte davon,

Y oyó el rey Herodes la fama de Jesús, porque su nombre se había hecho notorio; y dijo: Juan el que bautizaba, ha resucitado de los muertos, y por tanto, virtudes obran en él.

And king Herod heard of him; (for his name was spread abroad:) and he said, That John the Baptist was risen from the dead, and therefore mighty works do shew forth themselves in him.

King Herod heard this, for his name had become known, and he said, “John the Baptizer has risen from the dead, and therefore these powers are at work in him.”

Andere sagten: Es ist Elias; andere aber sagten: Er ist ein Prophet, oder wie der Propheten einer.

Otros decían: Elías es. Y otros decían: Profeta es, ó alguno de los profetas.

Others said, That it is Elias. And others said, That it is a prophet, or as one of the prophets.

But others said, “He is Elijah.” Others said, “He is a prophet, or like one of the prophets.”

Als es aber Herodes hörte, sprach er: Dies ist Johannes, den ich enthauptet habe; der ist von den Toten auferweckt;

Y oyéndolo Herodes, dijo: Este es Juan el que yo degollé: él ha resucitado de los muertos.

But when Herod heard thereof, he said, It is John, whom I beheaded: he is risen from the dead.

But Herod, when he heard this, said, “This is John, whom I beheaded. He has risen from the dead.”

Denn er, Herodes, hatte ausgesandt und den Johannes ergriffen und im Gefängnis gebunden, wegen der Herodias, dem Weibe des Philippus, seines Bruders; denn er hatte sie gefreit.

Porque el mismo Herodes había enviado, y prendido á Juan, y le había aprisionado en la cárcel á causa de Herodías, mujer de Felipe su hermano; pues la había tomado por mujer.

For Herod himself had sent forth and laid hold upon John, and bound him in prison for Herodias’ sake, his brother Philip’s wife: for he had married her.

For Herod himself had sent out and arrested John and bound him in prison for the sake of Herodias, his brother Philip’s wife, for he had married her.

Denn Johannes sagte zu Herodes: Es ist dir nicht erlaubt, deines Bruders Weib zu haben.

Porque Juan decía á Herodes: No te es lícito tener la mujer de tu hermano.

For John had said unto Herod, It is not lawful for thee to have thy brother’s wife.

For John had said to Herod, “It is not lawful for you to have your brother’s wife.”

Herodias aber stellte ihm nach und wollte ihn töten und konnte nicht.

Mas Herodías le acechaba, y deseaba matarle, y no podía:

Therefore Herodias had a quarrel against him, and would have killed him; but she could not:

Herodias set herself against him and desired to kill him, but she couldn’t,

Denn Herodes fürchtete den Johannes, weil er wußte, daß er ein gerechter und heiliger Mann war; und erhielt ihn, und hörte auf ihn in vielem, das er tat, und hörte ihn gerne.

Porque Herodes temía á Juan, sabiendo que era varón justo y santo, y le tenía respeto: y oyéndole, hacía muchas cosas; y le oía de buena gana.

For Herod feared John, knowing that he was a just man and an holy, and observed him; and when he heard him, he did many things, and heard him gladly.

for Herod feared John, knowing that he was a righteous and holy man, and kept him safe. When he heard him, he did many things, and he heard him gladly.

Und es kam ein gelegener Tag, als Herodes an seinem Geburtsfest seinen Großen und Obersten und den Ersten in Galiläa ein Gastmahl machte;

Y venido un día oportuno, en que Herodes, en la fiesta de su nacimiento, daba una cena á sus príncipes y tribunos, y á los principales de Galilea;

And when a convenient day was come, that Herod on his birthday made a supper to his lords, high captains, and chief estates of Galilee;

Then a convenient day came when Herod on his birthday made a supper for his nobles, the high officers, and the chief men of Galilee.

Und der Herodias Tochter kam herein und tanzte, und gefiel dem Herodes und denen, die mit zu Tische lagen. Da sprach der König zu dem Mägdlein: Bitte von mir, was du willst, und ich will es dir geben.

Y entrando la hija de Herodías, y danzando, y agradando á Herodes y á los que estaban con él á la mesa, el rey dijo á la muchacha: Pídeme lo que quisieres, que yo te lo daré.

And when the daughter of the said Herodias came in, and danced, and pleased Herod and them that sat with him, the king said unto the damsel, Ask of me whatsoever thou wilt, and I will give it thee.

When the daughter of Herodias herself came in and danced, she pleased Herod and those sitting with him. The king said to the young lady, “Ask me whatever you want, and I will give it to you.”

Und er schwur ihr: Was du von mir bittest, will ich dir geben, bis auf die Hälfte meines Reiches.

Y le juró: Todo lo que me pidieres te daré, hasta la mitad de mi reino.

And he sware unto her, Whatsoever thou shalt ask of me, I will give it thee, unto the half of my kingdom.

He swore to her, “Whatever you ask of me, I will give you, up to half of my kingdom.”

Sie aber ging hinaus und sprach zu ihrer Mutter: Was soll ich bitten? Die aber sprach: Das Haupt Johannes des Täufers.

Y saliendo ella, dijo á su madre: ¿Qué pediré? Y ella dijo: La cabeza de Juan Bautista.

And she went forth, and said unto her mother, What shall I ask? And she said, The head of John the Baptist.

She went out and said to her mother, “What shall I ask?” She said, “The head of John the Baptizer.”

Und sie kam alsbald eilig herein zum Könige, bat und sprach: Ich will, daß du mir unverzüglich das Haupt Johannes des Täufers auf einer Platte gebest.

Entonces ella entró prestamente al rey, y pidió, diciendo: Quiero que ahora mismo me des en un plato la cabeza de Juan Bautista.

And she came in straightway with haste unto the king, and asked, saying, I will that thou give me by and by in a charger the head of John the Baptist.

She came in immediately with haste to the king and requested, “I want you to give me right now the head of John the Baptizer on a platter.”

Und der König ward sehr betrübt, aber um des Eidschwurs willen und derer, die mit zu Tische lagen, wollte er sie nicht beiseite setzen.

Y el rey se entristeció mucho; mas á causa del juramento, y de los que estaban con él á la mesa, no quiso desecharla.

And the king was exceeding sorry; yet for his oath’s sake, and for their sakes which sat with him, he would not reject her.

The king was exceedingly sorry, but for the sake of his oaths and of his dinner guests, he didn’t wish to refuse her.

Und der König sandte alsbald einen von der Leibwache aus und verordnete sein Haupt herzubringen.

Y luego el rey, enviando uno de la guardia, mandó que fuese traída su cabeza;

And immediately the king sent an executioner, and commanded his head to be brought: and he went and beheaded him in the prison,

Immediately the king sent out a soldier of his guard and commanded to bring John’s head; and he went and beheaded him in the prison,

Er aber ging hin, enthauptete ihn im Gefängnis und brachte sein Haupt auf einer Platte und gab es dem Mägdlein, und das Mägdlein gab es ihrer Mutter.

El cual fué, y le degolló en la cárcel, y trajo su cabeza en un plato, y la dió á la muchacha, y la muchacha la dió á su madre.

And brought his head in a charger, and gave it to the damsel: and the damsel gave it to her mother.

and brought his head on a platter, and gave it to the young lady; and the young lady gave it to her mother.

Und als seine Jünger es hörten, kamen sie, und nahmen seine Leiche und legten sie in eine Gruft.

Y oyéndolo sus discípulos, vinieron y tomaron su cuerpo, y le pusieron en un sepulcro.

And when his disciples heard of it, they came and took up his corpse, and laid it in a tomb.

Und die Apostel versammelten sich zu Jesus und sagten an alles, was sie getan und was sie gelehrt hatten.

Y los apóstoles se juntaron con Jesús, y le contaron todo lo que habían hecho, y lo que habían enseñado.

And the apostles gathered themselves together unto Jesus, and told him all things, both what they had done, and what they had taught.

Und Er sprach zu ihnen: Kommet ihr selber besonders an einen wüsten Ort und ruhet ein wenig aus. Denn es waren derer, die da kamen und gingen, so viele, daß sie nicht gelegene Zeit zum Essen hatten.

Y él les dijo: Venid vosotros aparte al lugar desierto, y reposad un poco. Porque eran muchos los que iban y venían, que ni aun tenían lugar de comer.

And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.

He said to them, “Come away into a deserted place, and rest awhile.” For there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.

Und sie gingen hin im Schifflein besonders an einen wüsten Ort.

Y se fueron en un barco al lugar desierto aparte.

And they departed into a desert place by ship privately.

They went away in the boat to a deserted place by themselves.

Und das Gedränge sah sie hingehen, und viele erkannten Ihn und liefen zu Fuß dahin aus allen Städten und kamen vor ihnen an und kamen zu Ihm zusammen.

Y los vieron ir muchos, y le conocieron; y concurrieron allá muchos á pie de las ciudades, y llegaron antes que ellos, y se juntaron á él.

And the people saw them departing, and many knew him, and ran afoot thither out of all cities, and outwent them, and came together unto him.

They saw them going, and many recognized him and ran there on foot from all the cities. They arrived before them and came together to him.

Und Jesus kam heraus und sah das viele Gedränge, und es jammerte Ihn derselben, daß sie wie Schafe waren, die keinen Hirten haben, und Er fing an, sie vieles zu lehren.

Y saliendo Jesús vió grande multitud, y tuvo compasión de ellos, porque eran como ovejas que no tenían pastor; y les comenzó á enseñar muchas cosas.

And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things.

Jesus came out, saw a great multitude, and he had compassion on them because they were like sheep without a shepherd; and he began to teach them many things.

Da es aber schon spät an der Stunde war, kamen Seine Jünger zu Ihm und sagten: Der Ort ist wüste, und es ist schon spät an der Stunde.

Y como ya fuese el día muy entrado, sus discípulos llegaron á él, diciendo: El lugar es desierto, y el día ya muy entrado;

And when the day was now far spent, his disciples came unto him, and said, This is a desert place, and now the time is far passed:

When it was late in the day, his disciples came to him and said, “This place is deserted, and it is late in the day.

Entlasse sie, daß sie rings umher in die Felder und in die Dörfer gehen und sich Brot kaufen, denn sie haben nichts zu essen.

Envíalos para que vayan á los cortijos y aldeas de alrededor, y compren para sí pan; porque no tienen qué comer.

Send them away, that they may go into the country round about, and into the villages, and buy themselves bread: for they have nothing to eat.

Send them away, that they may go into the surrounding country and villages and buy themselves bread, for they have nothing to eat.”

Er aber antwortete und sprach zu ihnen: Gebet ihr ihnen zu essen! Und sie sagten zu Ihm: Sollen wir hingehen und um zweihundert Denare Brot kaufen, und ihnen zu essen geben?

Y respondiendo él, les dijo: Dadles de comer vosotros. Y le dijeron: ¿Que vayamos y compremos pan por doscientos denarios, y les demos de comer?

He answered and said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And they say unto him, Shall we go and buy two hundred pennyworth of bread, and give them to eat?

But he answered them, “You give them something to eat.” They asked him, “Shall we go and buy two hundred denarii worth of bread and give them something to eat?”

Er aber sprach zu ihnen: Wie viele Brote habt ihr? Gehet hin und sehet. Und da sie es erfahren, sagten sie : Fünf, und zwei Fische.

Y él les dice: ¿Cuántos panes tenéis? Id, y vedlo. Y sabiéndolo, dijeron: Cinco, y dos peces.

He saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? go and see. And when they knew, they say, Five, and two fishes.

He said to them, “How many loaves do you have? Go see.” When they knew, they said, “Five, and two fish.”

Und Er verordnete ihnen allen, sich zu lagern nach Tischgesellschaften und Tischgesellschaften auf dem grünen Grase.

Y les mandó que hiciesen recostar á todos por partidas sobre la hierba verde.

And he commanded them to make all sit down by companies upon the green grass.

He commanded them that everyone should sit down in groups on the green grass.

Und sie ließen sich nieder in Abteilungen von je hundert und je fünfzig.

Y se recostaron por partidas, de ciento en ciento, y de cincuenta en cincuenta.

And they sat down in ranks, by hundreds, and by fifties.

And when he had taken the five loaves and the two fishes, he looked up to heaven, and blessed, and brake the loaves, and gave them to his disciples to set before them; and the two fishes divided he among them all.

Und sie aßen alle und wurden satt;

And they did all eat, and were filled.

Und sie hoben auf zwölf Körbe voll Brocken, und von den Fischen.

And they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments, and of the fishes.

Und es waren derer, welche die Brote gegessen hatten, fünftausend Mann.

Y los que comieron eran cinco mil hombres.

And they that did eat of the loaves were about five thousand men.

Und alsbald nötigte Er Seine Jünger, in das Schifflein einzusteigen und voraus zu fahren hinüber nach Bethsaida, bis Er Selbst das Gedränge entlassen hätte.

Y luego dió priesa á sus discípulos á subir en el barco, é ir delante de él á Bethsaida de la otra parte, entre tanto que él despedía la multitud.

And straightway he constrained his disciples to get into the ship, and to go to the other side before unto Bethsaida, while he sent away the people.

Immediately he made his disciples get into the boat and go ahead to the other side, to Bethsaida, while he himself sent the multitude away.

Nachdem Er sie verabschiedet hatte, ging Er hin auf den Berg, zu beten.

Y después que los hubo despedido, se fué al monte á orar.

And when he had sent them away, he departed into a mountain to pray.

After he had taken leave of them, he went up the mountain to pray.

Und es ward Abend, und das Schifflein war mitten auf dem Meere, und Er allein auf dem Land.

Y como fué la tarde, el barco estaba en medio de la mar, y él solo en tierra.

And when even was come, the ship was in the midst of the sea, and he alone on the land.

When evening had come, the boat was in the middle of the sea, and he was alone on the land.

Und Er sah, daß sie Not hatten im Rudern, weil der Wind ihnen entgegen war. Und Er kam um die vierte Wache der Nacht zu ihnen, und wandelte auf dem Meere, und wollte an ihnen vorübergehen.

Y los vió fatigados bogando, porque el viento les era contrario: y cerca de la cuarta vigilia de la noche, vino á ellos andando sobre la mar, y quería precederlos.

And he saw them toiling in rowing; for the wind was contrary unto them: and about the fourth watch of the night he cometh unto them, walking upon the sea, and would have passed by them.

Seeing them distressed in rowing, for the wind was contrary to them, about the fourth watch of the night he came to them, walking on the sea; and he would have passed by them,

Da sie Ihn aber auf dem Meer wandeln sahen, meinten sie, es wäre ein Gespenst, und schrien auf:

Y viéndole ellos, que andaba sobre la mar, pensaron que era fantasma, y dieron voces;

But when they saw him walking upon the sea, they supposed it had been a spirit, and cried out:

but they, when they saw him walking on the sea, supposed that it was a ghost, and cried out;

Denn alle sahen Ihn und erbebten. Und Er redete alsbald mit ihnen und sprach zu ihnen: Seid getrost; Ich bin es, fürchtet euch nicht.

Porque todos le veían, y se turbaron. Mas luego habló con ellos, y les dijo: Alentaos; yo soy, no temáis.

For they all saw him, and were troubled. And immediately he talked with them, and saith unto them, Be of good cheer: it is I; be not afraid.

for they all saw him and were troubled. But he immediately spoke with them and said to them, “Cheer up! It is I! Don’t be afraid.”

Und Er stieg zu ihnen ein in das Schifflein, und der Wind legte sich. Und sie waren außer sich und verwunderten sich ungemein, über die Maßen.

Y subió á ellos en el barco, y calmó el viento: y ellos en gran manera estaban fuera de sí, y se maravillaban:

And he went up unto them into the ship; and the wind ceased: and they were sore amazed in themselves beyond measure, and wondered.

He got into the boat with them; and the wind ceased, and they were very amazed among themselves, and marveled;

Denn sie verstanden nicht trotz der Brote; denn ihr Herz war verstockt.

Porque aun no habían considerado lo de los panes, por cuanto estaban ofuscados sus corazones.

For they considered not the miracle of the loaves: for their heart was hardened.

for they hadn’t understood about the loaves, but their hearts were hardened.

Und sie fuhren hinüber und kamen an das Land Genesareth und landeten.

Y cuando estuvieron de la otra parte, vinieron á tierra de Genezaret, y tomaron puerto.

And when they had passed over, they came into the land of Gennesaret, and drew to the shore.

When they had crossed over, they came to land at Gennesaret and moored to the shore.

Und da sie aus dem Schifflein kamen, erkannten sie Ihn alsbald,

Y saliendo ellos del barco, luego le conocieron.

And when they were come out of the ship, straightway they knew him,

When they had come out of the boat, immediately the people recognized him,

Und liefen in der ganzen dortigen Gegend umher und fingen an, die Leidenden auf Tragbetten umherzutragen, wo sie hörten, daß Er war.

Y recorriendo toda la tierra de alrededor, comenzaron á traer de todas partes enfermos en lechos, á donde oían que estaba.

And ran through that whole region round about, and began to carry about in beds those that were sick, where they heard he was.

and ran around that whole region, and began to bring those who were sick on their mats to where they heard he was.

Und wo Er in Flecken oder Städte oder Felder einging, legten sie die Siechen auf die Marktplätze hin, und baten Ihn, daß sie auch nur Seines Kleides Saum berühren dürften; und so viele als Ihn berührten, wurden gerettet.
