Je suis ému de compassion envers cette multitude, car il y a déjà trois jours qu’ils ne bougent d’avec moi, et ils n’ont rien à manger.

I have compassion on the multitude, because they have now been with me three days, and have nothing to eat:

Et si je les renvoie à jeûn en leurs maisons, ils tomberont en défaillance par le chemin, car quelques-uns d’eux sont venus de loin.
Y si los enviare en ayunas á sus casas, desmayarán en el camino; porque algunos de ellos han venido de lejos.
And if I send them away fasting to their own houses, they will faint by the way: for divers of them came from far.
If I send them away fasting to their home, they will faint on the way, for some of them have come a long way.”
Et ses Disciples lui répondirent : d’où les pourra-t-on rassasier de pains, ici, dans un désert ?
Y sus discípulos le respondieron: ¿De dónde podrá alguien hartar á estos de pan aquí en el desierto?
And his disciples answered him, From whence can a man satisfy these men with bread here in the wilderness?

Alors il commanda aux troupes de s’asseoir par terre, et il prit les sept pains, et après avoir béni Dieu il les rompit, et les donna à ses Disciples pour les mettre devant les troupes ; et ils les mirent devant elles.
Entonces mandó á la multitud que se recostase en tierra; y tomando los siete panes, habiendo dado gracias, partió, y dió á sus discípulos que los pusiesen delante: y los pusieron delante á la multitud.
And he commanded the people to sit down on the ground: and he took the seven loaves, and gave thanks, and brake, and gave to his disciples to set before them; and they did set them before the people.

And he sighed deeply in his spirit, and saith, Why doth this generation seek after a sign? verily I say unto you, There shall no sign be given unto this generation.

Et les laissant, il remonta dans la nacelle, et passa à l’autre rivage.

Now the disciples had forgotten to take bread, neither had they in the ship with them more than one loaf.

Et il leur commanda, disant : voyez, donnez-vous de garde du levain des Pharisiens, et du levain d’Hérode.

And he charged them, saying, Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, and of the leaven of Herod.

Et ils discouraient entre eux, disant : c’est parce que nous n’avons point de pains.
Y altercaban los unos con los otros diciendo: Pan no tenemos.

Et Jésus connaissant cela, leur dit : pourquoi discourez-vous touchant ce que vous n’avez point de pains ? ne considérez-vous point encore, et ne comprenez-vous point ? avez-vous encore votre coeur stupide ?
Y como Jesús lo entendió, les dice: ¿Qué altercáis, porque no tenéis pan? ¿no consideráis ni entendéis? ¿aun tenéis endurecido vuestro corazón?
And when Jesus knew it, he saith unto them, Why reason ye, because ye have no bread? perceive ye not yet, neither understand? have ye your heart yet hardened?
Jesus, perceiving it, said to them, “Why do you reason that it’s because you have no bread? Don’t you perceive yet or understand? Is your heart still hardened?
Ayant des yeux, ne voyez-vous point ? ayant des oreilles, n’entendez-vous point ? et n’avez-vous point de mémoire ?
¿Teniendo ojos no veis, y teniendo oídos no oís? ¿y no os acordáis?
Having eyes, see ye not? and having ears, hear ye not? and do ye not remember?

Quand je distribuai les cinq pains aux cinq mille hommes, combien recueillîtes-vous de corbeilles pleines des pièces qu’il y eut de reste ? ils lui dirent : douze.

Y cuando los siete panes entre cuatro mil, ¿cuántas espuertas llenas de los pedazos alzasteis? Y ellos dijeron: Siete.
And when the seven among four thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took ye up? And they said, Seven.
“When the seven loaves fed the four thousand, how many baskets full of broken pieces did you take up?” They told him, “Seven.”
Et il leur dit : comment n’avez-vous point d’intelligence ?
Y les dijo: ¿Cómo aun no entendéis?
And he said unto them, How is it that ye do not understand?
He asked them, “Don’t you understand yet?”
Puis il vint à Bethsaïda, et on lui présenta un aveugle, en le priant qu’il le touchât.
Y vino á Bethsaida; y le traen un ciego, y le ruegan que le tocase.
And he cometh to Bethsaida; and they bring a blind man unto him, and besought him to touch him.

Alors il prit la main de l’aveugle, et le mena hors de la bourgade, et ayant mis de sa salive sur ses yeux, et posé les mains sur lui, il lui demanda s’il voyait quelque chose.
Entonces, tomando la mano del ciego, le sacó fuera de la aldea; y escupiendo en sus ojos, y poniéndole las manos encima, le preguntó si veía algo.
And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw ought.

Et cet homme ayant regardé, dit : Je vois des hommes qui marchent, et qui me paraissent comme des arbres.

And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking.

Jésus lui mit encore les mains sur les yeux, et lui commanda de regarder ; et il fut rétabli, et les voyait tous de loin clairement.
Luego le puso otra vez las manos sobre sus ojos, y le hizo que mirase; y fué restablecido, y vió de lejos y claramente á todos.
After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly.

Puis il le renvoya en sa maison, en lui disant : n’entre point dans la bourgade, et ne le dis à personne de la bourgade.

And he sent him away to his house, saying, Neither go into the town, nor tell it to any in the town.

Entonces él les dice: Y vosotros, ¿quién decís que soy yo? Y respondiendo Pedro, le dice: Tú eres el Cristo.
And he saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Peter answereth and saith unto him, Thou art the Christ.
He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Peter answered, “You are the Christ.”
Et il leur défendit avec menaces, de dire cela de lui à personne.
Y les apercibió que no hablasen de él á ninguno.
And he charged them that they should tell no man of him.
He commanded them that they should tell no one about him.
Et il commença à leur enseigner qu’il fallait que le Fils de l’homme souffrît beaucoup, et qu’il fût rejeté des Anciens, et des principaux Sacrificateurs, et des Scribes ; et qu’il fût mis à mort, et qu’il ressuscitât trois jours après.
Y comenzó á enseñarles, que convenía que el Hijo del hombre padeciese mucho, y ser reprobado de los ancianos, y de los príncipes de los sacerdotes, y de los escribas, y ser muerto, y resucitar después de tres días.
And he began to teach them, that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders, and of the chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.

Y él, volviéndose y mirando á sus discípulos, riñó á Pedro, diciendo: Apártate de mí, Satanás; porque no sabes las cosas que son de Dios, sino las que son de los hombres.
But when he had turned about and looked on his disciples, he rebuked Peter, saying, Get thee behind me, Satan: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but the things that be of men.
But he, turning around and seeing his disciples, rebuked Peter, and said, “Get behind me, Satan! For you have in mind not the things of God, but the things of men.”

Porque el que quisiere salvar su vida, la perderá; y el que perdiere su vida por causa de mí y del evangelio, la salvará.
For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it.
For whoever wants to save his life will lose it; and whoever will lose his life for my sake and the sake of the Good News will save it.
Car que profiterait-il à un homme de gagner tout le monde, s’il fait la perte de son âme ?
Porque ¿qué aprovechará al hombre, si granjeare todo el mundo, y pierde su alma?
For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his life?
Ou que donnera l’homme en échange de son âme ?
¿O qué recompensa dará el hombre por su alma?
Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
For what will a man give in exchange for his life?
Car quiconque aura eu honte de moi et de mes paroles parmi cette nation adultère et pécheresse, le Fils de l’homme aura aussi honte de lui, quand il sera venu environné de la gloire de son Père avec les saints Anges. Retournez au Début
Porque el que se avergonzare de mí y de mis palabras en esta generación adulterina y pecadora, el Hijo del hombre se avergonzará también de él, cuando vendrá en la gloria de su Padre con los santos ángeles.
Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.
For whoever will be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man also will be ashamed of him when he comes in his Father’s glory with the holy angels.”
