In jenen Tagen, als wiederum eine große Volksmenge da war und nichts zu essen hatte, rief er seine Jünger herzu und spricht zu ihnen:

EN aquellos días, como hubo gran gentío, y no tenían qué comer, Jesús llamó á sus discípulos, y les dijo:

In those days the multitude being very great, and having nothing to eat, Jesus called his disciples unto him, and saith unto them,

In those days, when there was a very great multitude, and they had nothing to eat, Jesus called his disciples to himself and said to them,

Ich bin innerlich bewegt über die Volksmenge, denn schon drei Tage halten sie sich bei mir auf und haben nichts zu essen;

Tengo compasión de la multitud, porque ya hace tres días que están conmigo, y no tienen qué comer:

I have compassion on the multitude, because they have now been with me three days, and have nothing to eat:

“I have compassion on the multitude, because they have stayed with me now three days and have nothing to eat.

und wenn ich sie nach Hause entlasse, ohne dass sie gegessen haben, so werden sie auf dem Weg verschmachten; denn einige von ihnen sind von ferne gekommen.

Y si los enviare en ayunas á sus casas, desmayarán en el camino; porque algunos de ellos han venido de lejos.

And if I send them away fasting to their own houses, they will faint by the way: for divers of them came from far.

If I send them away fasting to their home, they will faint on the way, for some of them have come a long way.”

Und seine Jünger antworteten ihm: Woher wird jemand diese hier in der Einöde mit Brot sättigen können?

Y sus discípulos le respondieron: ¿De dónde podrá alguien hartar á estos de pan aquí en el desierto?

And his disciples answered him, From whence can a man satisfy these men with bread here in the wilderness?

His disciples answered him, “From where could one satisfy these people with bread here in a deserted place?”

Und er fragte sie: Wie viele Brote habt ihr? Sie aber sagten: Sieben.

Y les preguntó: ¿Cuántos panes tenéis? Y ellos dijeron: Siete.

And he asked them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven.

He asked them, “How many loaves do you have?” They said, “Seven.”

Und er gebot der Volksmenge, sich auf der Erde zu lagern. Und er nahm die sieben Brote, dankte und brach sie und gab sie den Jüngern, damit sie vorlegten; und sie legten der Volksmenge vor.

Entonces mandó á la multitud que se recostase en tierra; y tomando los siete panes, habiendo dado gracias, partió, y dió á sus discípulos que los pusiesen delante: y los pusieron delante á la multitud.

And he commanded the people to sit down on the ground: and he took the seven loaves, and gave thanks, and brake, and gave to his disciples to set before them; and they did set them before the people.

He commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground, and he took the seven loaves. Having given thanks, he broke them and gave them to his disciples to serve, and they served the multitude.

Und sie hatten einige kleine Fische; und als er sie gesegnet hatte, sagte er, sie sollten auch diese vorlegen.

Tenían también unos pocos pececillos: y los bendijo, y mandó que también los pusiesen delante.

And they had a few small fishes: and he blessed, and commanded to set them also before them.

They also had a few small fish. Having blessed them, he said to serve these also.

Sie aßen aber und wurden gesättigt; und sie hoben auf, was an Brocken übrigblieb, sieben Körbe voll.

Y comieron, y se hartaron: y levantaron de los pedazos que habían sobrado, siete espuertas.

So they did eat, and were filled: and they took up of the broken meat that was left seven baskets.

They ate and were filled. They took up seven baskets of broken pieces that were left over.

Es waren aber †derer, die gegessen hatten etwa 4.000; und er entließ sie.

Y eran los que comieron, como cuatro mil: y los despidió.

And they that had eaten were about four thousand: and he sent them away.

Those who had eaten were about four thousand. Then he sent them away.

Und sogleich stieg er mit seinen Jüngern in das Schiff und kam in die Gegenden von Dalmanuta.

Y luego entrando en el barco con sus discípulos, vino á las partes de Dalmanutha.

And straightway he entered into a ship with his disciples, and came into the parts of Dalmanutha.

Immediately he entered into the boat with his disciples and came into the region of Dalmanutha.

Und die Pharisäer kamen heraus und fingen an, mit ihm zu streiten, indem sie, um ihn zu versuchen, ein Zeichen vom Himmel von ihm begehrten.

Y vinieron los Fariseos, y comenzaron á altercar con él, pidiéndole señal del cielo, tentándole.

And the Pharisees came forth, and began to question with him, seeking of him a sign from heaven, tempting him.

Und in seinem Geist tief seufzend, spricht er: Was begehrt dieses Geschlecht ein Zeichen? Wahrlich, ich sage euch: Wenn diesem Geschlecht ein Zeichen gegeben werden wird!

Y gimiendo en su espíritu, dice: ¿Por qué pide señal esta generación? De cierto os digo que no se dará señal á esta generación.

And he sighed deeply in his spirit, and saith, Why doth this generation seek after a sign? verily I say unto you, There shall no sign be given unto this generation.

He sighed deeply in his spirit and said, “Why does this generation seek a sign? Most certainly I tell you, no sign will be given to this generation.”

Und er ließ sie, stieg wieder in das Schiff und fuhr an das jenseitige Ufer.

Y dejándolos, volvió á entrar en el barco, y se fué de la otra parte.

And he left them, and entering into the ship again departed to the other side.

He left them, and again entering into the boat, departed to the other side.

Und sie vergaßen, Brote mitzunehmen, und hatten nichts bei sich auf dem Schiff als nur ein Brot.

Y se habían olvidado de tomar pan, y no tenían sino un pan consigo en el barco.

Now the disciples had forgotten to take bread, neither had they in the ship with them more than one loaf.

They forgot to take bread; and they didn’t have more than one loaf in the boat with them.

Und er gebot ihnen und sprach: Seht zu, hütet euch vor dem Sauerteig der Pharisäer und dem Sauerteig des Herodes.

Y les mandó, diciendo: Mirad, guardaos de la levadura de los Fariseos, y de la levadura de Herodes.

And he charged them, saying, Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, and of the leaven of Herod.

He warned them, saying, “Take heed: beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and the yeast of Herod.”

Und sie überlegten miteinander †und sprachen: Weil wir keine Brote haben.

Y altercaban los unos con los otros diciendo: Pan no tenemos.

And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have no bread.

They reasoned with one another, saying, “It’s because we have no bread.”

Und als Jesus es erkannte, spricht er zu ihnen: Was überlegt ihr, weil ihr keine Brote habt? Begreift ihr noch nicht und versteht auch nicht? Habt ihr euer Herz †noch verhärtet?

Y como Jesús lo entendió, les dice: ¿Qué altercáis, porque no tenéis pan? ¿no consideráis ni entendéis? ¿aun tenéis endurecido vuestro corazón?

And when Jesus knew it, he saith unto them, Why reason ye, because ye have no bread? perceive ye not yet, neither understand? have ye your heart yet hardened?

Jesus, perceiving it, said to them, “Why do you reason that it’s because you have no bread? Don’t you perceive yet or understand? Is your heart still hardened?

Augen habt ihr und seht nicht, und Ohren habt ihr und hört nicht? Und erinnert ihr euch nicht?

¿Teniendo ojos no veis, y teniendo oídos no oís? ¿y no os acordáis?

Having eyes, see ye not? and having ears, hear ye not? and do ye not remember?

Having eyes, don’t you see? Having ears, don’t you hear? Don’t you remember?

Als ich die fünf Brote unter die 5.000 brach, wie viele Handkörbe voll Brocken hobt ihr auf? Sie sagen zu ihm: Zwölf.

Cuando partí los cinco panes entre cinco mil, ¿cuántas espuertas llenas de los pedazos alzasteis? Y ellos dijeron: Doce.

When I brake the five loaves among five thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took ye up? They say unto him, Twelve.

When I broke the five loaves among the five thousand, how many baskets full of broken pieces did you take up?” They told him, “Twelve.”

Als aber die sieben unter die 4.000, wie viele Körbe, mit Brocken gefüllt, hobt ihr auf? Sie aber sagten: Sieben.

Y cuando los siete panes entre cuatro mil, ¿cuántas espuertas llenas de los pedazos alzasteis? Y ellos dijeron: Siete.

And when the seven among four thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took ye up? And they said, Seven.

“When the seven loaves fed the four thousand, how many baskets full of broken pieces did you take up?” They told him, “Seven.”

Und er sprach zu ihnen: Wie, versteht ihr †noch nicht?

Y les dijo: ¿Cómo aun no entendéis?

And he said unto them, How is it that ye do not understand?

He asked them, “Don’t you understand yet?”

Und er kommt nach Bethsaida; und sie bringen ihm einen Blinden und bitten ihn, dass er ihn anrühre.

Y vino á Bethsaida; y le traen un ciego, y le ruegan que le tocase.

And he cometh to Bethsaida; and they bring a blind man unto him, and besought him to touch him.

He came to Bethsaida. They brought a blind man to him and begged him to touch him.

Und er fasste den Blinden bei der Hand und führte ihn aus dem Dorf hinaus; und als er auf seine Augen gespuckt hatte, legte er ihm die Hände auf und fragte ihn, ob er etwas sehe.

Entonces, tomando la mano del ciego, le sacó fuera de la aldea; y escupiendo en sus ojos, y poniéndole las manos encima, le preguntó si veía algo.

And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw ought.

He took hold of the blind man by the hand, and brought him out of the village. When he had spat on his eyes, and laid his hands on him, he asked him if he saw anything.

Und aufblickend sprach er: Ich sehe die Menschen, denn ich gewahre solche, die wie Bäume umherwandeln.

Y él mirando, dijo: Veo los hombres, pues veo que andan como árboles.

And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking.

He looked up, and said, “I see men, but I see them like walking trees.”

Dann legte er wiederum die Hände auf seine Augen, und er sah deutlich, und er war wiederhergestellt und sah alles klar.

Luego le puso otra vez las manos sobre sus ojos, y le hizo que mirase; y fué restablecido, y vió de lejos y claramente á todos.

After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly.

Then again he laid his hands on his eyes. He looked intently, and was restored, and saw everyone clearly.

Und er schickte ihn nach seinem Haus und sprach: Geh nicht in das Dorf, †sage es auch niemand im Dorf.

Y envióle á su casa, diciendo: No entres en la aldea, ni lo digas á nadie en la aldea.

And he sent him away to his house, saying, Neither go into the town, nor tell it to any in the town.

He sent him away to his house, saying, “Don’t enter into the village, nor tell anyone in the village.”

Und Jesus ging hinaus und seine Jünger in die Dörfer von Cäsarea Philippi. Und auf dem Weg fragte er seine Jünger und sprach zu ihnen: Wer sagen die Menschen, dass ich sei?

Y salió Jesús y sus discípulos por las aldeas de Cesarea de Filipo. Y en el camino preguntó á sus discípulos, diciéndoles: ¿Quién dicen los hombres que soy yo?

And Jesus went out, and his disciples, into the towns of Cæsarea Philippi: and by the way he asked his disciples, saying unto them, Whom do men say that I am?

Jesus went out, with his disciples, into the villages of Caesarea Philippi. On the way he asked his disciples, “Who do men say that I am?”

Sie aber antworteten ihm und sagten: Johannes der Täufer; und andere: Elia; andere aber: Einer der Propheten.

Y ellos respondieron: Juan Bautista; y otros, Elías; y otros, Alguno de los profetas.

And they answered, John the Baptist: but some say, Elias; and others, One of the prophets.

They told him, “John the Baptizer, and others say Elijah, but others, one of the prophets.”

Und er fragte sie: Ihr aber, wer sagt ihr, dass ich sei? Petrus aber antwortet und spricht zu ihm: Du bist der Christus.

Entonces él les dice: Y vosotros, ¿quién decís que soy yo? Y respondiendo Pedro, le dice: Tú eres el Cristo.

And he saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Peter answereth and saith unto him, Thou art the Christ.

He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Peter answered, “You are the Christ.”

Und er bedrohte sie, dass sie niemand von ihm sagen sollten.

Y les apercibió que no hablasen de él á ninguno.

And he charged them that they should tell no man of him.

He commanded them that they should tell no one about him.

Und er fing an sie zu lehren, dass der Sohn des Menschen vieles leiden und verworfen werden müsse von den Ältesten und Hohenpriestern und Schriftgelehrten, und dass er getötet werden und nach drei Tagen auferstehen müsse.

Y comenzó á enseñarles, que convenía que el Hijo del hombre padeciese mucho, y ser reprobado de los ancianos, y de los príncipes de los sacerdotes, y de los escribas, y ser muerto, y resucitar después de tres días.

And he began to teach them, that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders, and of the chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.

Und er redete das Wort öffentlich. Und Petrus nahm ihn zu sich und fing an, ihn zu strafen.

Y claramente decía esta palabra. Entonces Pedro le tomó, y le comenzó á reprender.

And he spake that saying openly. And Peter took him, and began to rebuke him.

He spoke to them openly. Peter took him and began to rebuke him.

Er aber wandte sich um, und als er seine Jünger sah, strafte er den Petrus und sagte: Geh hinter mich, Satan! Denn du sinnst nicht auf das was Gottes, sondern auf das was der Menschen ist.

Y él, volviéndose y mirando á sus discípulos, riñó á Pedro, diciendo: Apártate de mí, Satanás; porque no sabes las cosas que son de Dios, sino las que son de los hombres.

But when he had turned about and looked on his disciples, he rebuked Peter, saying, Get thee behind me, Satan: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but the things that be of men.

But he, turning around and seeing his disciples, rebuked Peter, and said, “Get behind me, Satan! For you have in mind not the things of God, but the things of men.”

Und als er die Volksmenge samt seinen Jüngern herzugerufen hatte, sprach er zu ihnen: Wenn jemand mir nachkommen will, verleugne sich selbst und nehme sein Kreuz auf und folge mir nach.

Y llamando á la gente con sus discípulos, les dijo: Cualquiera que quisiere venir en pos de mí, niéguese á sí mismo, y tome su cruz, y sígame.

And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

He called the multitude to himself with his disciples and said to them, “Whoever wants to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

Denn wer sein Leben erretten will, wird es verlieren; wer aber sein Leben verliert um meinet- und des Evangeliums willen, wird es erretten.

Porque el que quisiere salvar su vida, la perderá; y el que perdiere su vida por causa de mí y del evangelio, la salvará.

For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it.

For whoever wants to save his life will lose it; and whoever will lose his life for my sake and the sake of the Good News will save it.

Denn was wird es einem Menschen nützen, wenn er die ganze Welt gewönne und seine Seeleeinbüßte?

Porque ¿qué aprovechará al hombre, si granjeare todo el mundo, y pierde su alma?

For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?

For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his life?

Denn was wird ein Mensch als Lösegeld geben für seine Seele?

¿O qué recompensa dará el hombre por su alma?

Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

For what will a man give in exchange for his life?

Denn wer sich meiner und meiner Worte schämt unter diesem ehebrecherischen und sündigen Geschlecht, dessen wird sich auch der Sohn des Menschen schämen, wenn er kommen wird in der Herrlichkeit seines Vaters mit den heiligen Engeln.

Porque el que se avergonzare de mí y de mis palabras en esta generación adulterina y pecadora, el Hijo del hombre se avergonzará también de él, cuando vendrá en la gloria de su Padre con los santos ángeles.

Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.

For whoever will be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man also will be ashamed of him when he comes in his Father’s glory with the holy angels.”
