So dich aber deine Hand argert, so haue sie ab. Es ist dir besser, daß du als ein Kruppel zum Leben eingehest, denn daß du zwo Hande habest und fahrest in die Holle, in das ewige Feuer,

Y si tu mano te escandalizare, córtala: mejor te es entrar á la vida manco, que teniendo dos manos ir á la Gehenna, al fuego que no puede ser apagado;

And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:

If your hand causes you to stumble, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life maimed, rather than having your two hands to go into Gehenna, into the unquenchable fire,
