And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power.

E SEI giorni appresso, Gesù prese seco Pietro, e Giacomo, e Giovanni, e li condusse soli, in disparte, sopra un alto monte; e fu trasfigurato in lor presenza.
Y seis días después tomó Jesús á Pedro, y á Jacobo, y á Juan, y los sacó aparte solos á un monte alto; y fué transfigurado delante de ellos.
And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them.

E i suoi vestimenti divennero risplendenti, e grandemente candidi, come neve; quali niun purgator di panni potrebbe imbiancar sopra la terra.
Y sus vestidos se volvieron resplandecientes, muy blancos, como la nieve; tanto que ningún lavador en la tierra los puede hacer tan blancos.
And his raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow; so as no fuller on earth can white them.
His clothing became glistening, exceedingly white, like snow, such as no launderer on earth can whiten them.
Ed Elia apparve loro, con Mosè; ed essi ragionavano con Gesù.
Y les apareció Elías con Moisés, que hablaban con Jesús.
And there appeared unto them Elias with Moses: and they were talking with Jesus.

E Pietro fece motto a Gesù, e gli disse: Maestro, egli è bene che noi stiamo qui; facciamo adunque tre tabernacoli, uno a te, uno a Mosè, ed uno ad Elia.
Entonces respondiendo Pedro, dice á Jesús: Maestro, bien será que nos quedemos aquí, y hagamos tres pabellones: para ti uno, y para Moisés otro, y para Elías otro;
And Peter answered and said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.
Peter answered Jesus, “Rabbi, it is good for us to be here. Let’s make three tents: one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”
Perciocchè non sapeva ciò ch'egli si dicesse, perchè erano spaventati.
Porque no sabía lo que hablaba; que estaban espantados.
For he wist not what to say; for they were sore afraid.
For he didn’t know what to say, for they were very afraid.
E venne una nuvola, che li adombrò; e dalla nuvola venne una voce, che disse: Quest'è il mio diletto Figliuolo; ascoltatelo.
Y vino una nube que les hizo sombra, y una voz de la nube, que decía: Este es mi Hijo amado: á él oid.
And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.

E in quello stante, guardando essi attorno, non videro più alcuno, se non Gesù tutto solo con loro.
Y luego, como miraron, no vieron más á nadie consigo, sino á Jesús solo.
And suddenly, when they had looked round about, they saw no man any more, save Jesus only with themselves.

Ora, come scendevano dal monte, Gesù divietò loro che non raccontassero ad alcuno le cose che avean vedute, se non quando il Figliuol dell'uomo sarebbe risuscitato da' morti.
Y descendiendo ellos del monte, les mandó que á nadie dijesen lo que habían visto, sino cuando el Hijo del hombre hubiese resucitado de los muertos.
And as they came down from the mountain, he charged them that they should tell no man what things they had seen, till the Son of man were risen from the dead.

Ed essi ritennero quella parola in loro stessi, domandando fra loro che cosa fosse quel risuscitar da' morti.
Y retuvieron la palabra en sí, altercando qué sería aquéllo: Resucitar de los muertos.
And they kept that saying with themselves, questioning one with another what the rising from the dead should mean.

Poi lo domandarono, dicendo: Perchè dicono gli Scribi, che convien che prima venga Elia?
Y le preguntaron, diciendo: ¿Qué es lo que los escribas dicen, que es necesario que Elías venga antes?
And they asked him, saying, Why say the scribes that Elias must first come?

Ed egli, rispondendo, disse loro: Elia veramente deve venir prima, e ristabilire ogni cosa; e siccome egli è scritto del Figliuol dell'uomo, conviene che patisca molte cose, e sia annichilato.
Y respondiendo él, les dijo: Elías á la verdad, viniendo antes, restituirá todas las cosas: y como está escrito del Hijo del hombre, que padezca mucho y sea tenido en nada.
And he answered and told them, Elias verily cometh first, and restoreth all things; and how it is written of the Son of man, that he must suffer many things, and be set at nought.
He said to them, “Elijah indeed comes first, and restores all things. How is it written about the Son of Man, that he should suffer many things and be despised?
Ma io vi dico che Elia è venuto, e gli hanno fatto tutto ciò che hanno voluto; siccome era scritto di lui.

But I say unto you, That Elias is indeed come, and they have done unto him whatsoever they listed, as it is written of him.

POI, venuto a' discepoli, vide una gran moltitudine d'intorno a loro, e degli Scribi, che quistionavan con loro.
Y como vino á los discípulos, vió grande compañía alrededor de ellos, y escribas que disputaban con ellos.
And when he came to his disciples, he saw a great multitude about them, and the scribes questioning with them.

E subito tutta la moltitudine, vedutolo, sbigottì; ed accorrendo, lo salutò.

Ed uno della moltitudine, rispondendo, disse: Maestro, io ti avea menato il mio figliuolo, che ha uno spirito mutolo.

And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I have brought unto thee my son, which hath a dumb spirit;

E dovunque esso lo prende, lo atterra; ed allora egli schiuma, e stride de' denti, e divien secco; or io avea detto a' tuoi discepoli che lo cacciassero, ma non hanno potuto.
El cual, donde quiera que le toma, le despedaza; y echa espumarajos, y cruje los dientes, y se va secando: y dije á tus discípulos que le echasen fuera, y no pudieron.
And wheresoever he taketh him, he teareth him: and he foameth, and gnasheth with his teeth, and pineth away: and I spake to thy disciples that they should cast him out; and they could not.
and wherever it seizes him, it throws him down; and he foams at the mouth, grinds his teeth, and becomes rigid. I asked your disciples to cast it out, and they weren’t able.”
Ed egli, rispondendogli, disse: O generazione incredula, infino a quando omai sarò con voi? infino a quando omai vi comporterò? menatemelo.
Y respondiendo él, les dijo: ¡Oh generación infiel! ¿hasta cuándo estaré con vosotros? ¿hasta cuándo os tengo de sufrir? Traédmele.
He answereth him, and saith, O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him unto me.
He answered him, “Unbelieving generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him to me.”
Ed essi glielo menarono; e quando egli l'ebbe veduto, subito lo spirito lo scosse con violenza; e il figliuolo cadde in terra, e si rotolava schiumando.
Y se le trajeron: y como le vió, luego el espíritu le desgarraba; y cayendo en tierra, se revolcaba, echando espumarajos.
And they brought him unto him: and when he saw him, straightway the spirit tare him; and he fell on the ground, and wallowed foaming.
They brought him to him, and when he saw him, immediately the spirit convulsed him and he fell on the ground, wallowing and foaming at the mouth.
E Gesù domandò il padre di esso: Quanto tempo è che questo gli è avvenuto? Ed egli disse: Dalla sua fanciullezza.
Y Jesús preguntó á su padre: ¿Cuánto tiempo há que le aconteció esto? Y él dijo: Desde niño:
And he asked his father, How long is it ago since this came unto him? And he said, Of a child.
He asked his father, “How long has it been since this has been happening to him?” He said, “From childhood.
E spesse volte l'ha gettato nel fuoco, e nell'acqua, per farlo perire; ma, se tu ci puoi nulla, abbi pietà di noi, ed aiutaci.
Y muchas veces le echa en el fuego y en aguas, para matarle; mas, si puedes algo, ayúdanos, teniendo misericordia de nosotros.
And ofttimes it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us.
Often it has cast him both into the fire and into the water to destroy him. But if you can do anything, have compassion on us and help us.”
E Gesù gli disse: Se tu puoi credere, ogni cosa è possibile a chi crede.
Y Jesús le dijo: Si puedes creer, al que cree todo es posible.
Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.
Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”
E subito il padre del fanciullo, sclamando con lagrime, disse: Io credo, Signore; sovvieni alla mia incredulità.
Y luego el padre del muchacho dijo clamando: Creo, ayuda mi incredulidad.
And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.
Immediately the father of the child cried out with tears, “I believe. Help my unbelief!”
E Gesù, veggendo che la moltitudine concorreva a calca, sgridò lo spirito immondo, dicendogli: Spirito mutolo e sordo, esci fuori di lui (io tel comando), e giammai più non entrare in lui.
Y como Jesús vió que la multitud se agolpaba, reprendió al espíritu inmundo, diciéndole: Espíritu mudo y sordo, yo te mando, sal de él, y no entres más en él.
When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.
When Jesus saw that a multitude came running together, he rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to him, “You mute and deaf spirit, I command you, come out of him, and never enter him again!”
E il demonio, gridando, e straziandolo forte, uscì fuori; e il fanciullo divenne come morto; talchè molti dicevano: Egli è morto.
Entonces el espíritu clamando y desgarrándole mucho, salió; y él quedó como muerto, de modo que muchos decían: Está muerto.
And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said, He is dead.
After crying out and convulsing him greatly, it came out of him. The boy became like one dead, so much that most of them said, “He is dead.”
Ma Gesù, presolo per la mano, lo levò, ed egli si rizzò in piè.
Mas Jesús tomándole de la mano, enderezóle; y se levantó.
But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he arose.

E quando Gesù fu entrato in casa, i suoi discepoli lo domandarono in disparte: Perchè non abbiam noi potuto cacciarlo?
Y como él entró en casa, sus discípulos le preguntaron aparte: ¿Por qué nosotros no pudimos echarle fuera?
And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out?

Ed egli disse loro: Questa generazion di demoni non esce per alcun altro modo, che per orazione, e per digiuno.
Y les dijo: Este género con nada puede salir, sino con oración y ayuno.
And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.
He said to them, “This kind can come out by nothing but by prayer and fasting.”
POI, essendosi partiti di là, passarono per la Galilea; ed egli non voleva che alcun lo sapesse.
Y habiendo salido de allí, caminaron por Galilea; y no quería que nadie lo supiese.
And they departed thence, and passed through Galilee; and he would not that any man should know it.
They went out from there and passed through Galilee. He didn’t want anyone to know it,
Perciocchè egli ammaestrava i suoi discepoli, e diceva loro: Il Figliuol dell'uomo sarà tosto dato nelle mani degli uomini, ed essi l'uccideranno; ma, dopo che sarà stato ucciso, risusciterà nel terzo giorno.
Porque enseñaba á sus discípulos, y les decía: El Hijo del hombre será entregado en manos de hombres, y le matarán; mas muerto él, resucitará al tercer día.
For he taught his disciples, and said unto them, The Son of man is delivered into the hands of men, and they shall kill him; and after that he is killed, he shall rise the third day.
for he was teaching his disciples, and said to them, “The Son of Man is being handed over to the hands of men, and they will kill him; and when he is killed, on the third day he will rise again.”
Ma essi non intendevano questo ragionamento, e temevano di domandarlo.
Pero ellos no entendían esta palabra, y tenían miedo de preguntarle.
But they understood not that saying, and were afraid to ask him.

Poi venne in Capernaum; e quando egli fu in casa, domandò loro: Di che disputavate fra voi per lo cammino?
Y llegó á Capernaum; y así que estuvo en casa, les preguntó: ¿Qué disputabais entre vosotros en el camino?
And he came to Capernaum: and being in the house he asked them, What was it that ye disputed among yourselves by the way?
He came to Capernaum, and when he was in the house he asked them, “What were you arguing among yourselves on the way?”
Ed essi tacquero; perciocchè per lo cammino aveano fra loro disputato chi di loro dovesse essere il maggiore.
Mas ellos callaron; porque los unos con los otros habían disputado en el camino quién había de ser el mayor.
But they held their peace: for by the way they had disputed among themselves, who should be the greatest.
But they were silent, for they had disputed with one another on the way about who was the greatest.
Ed egli, postosi a sedere, chiamò i dodici, e disse loro: Se alcuno vuol essere il primo, sia l'ultimo di tutti, e il servitor di tutti.
Entonces sentándose, llamó á los doce, y les dice: Si alguno quiere ser el primero, será el postrero de todos, y el servidor de todos.
And he sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them, If any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all.

E preso un piccolo fanciullo, lo pose in mezzo di loro; poi recatoselo in braccio, disse loro:
Y tomando un niño, púsolo en medio de ellos; y tomándole en sus brazos, les dice:
And he took a child, and set him in the midst of them: and when he had taken him in his arms, he said unto them,
He took a little child and set him in the middle of them. Taking him in his arms, he said to them,
Chiunque riceve uno di tali piccoli fanciulli nel mio nome, riceve me; e chiunque mi riceve, non riceve me, ma colui che mi ha mandato.
El que recibiere en mi nombre uno de los tales niños, á mí recibe; y el que á mí recibe, no recibe á mí, mas al que me envió.
Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me, receiveth not me, but him that sent me.
“Whoever receives one such little child in my name receives me; and whoever receives me, doesn’t receive me, but him who sent me.”
ALLORA Giovanni gli fece motto, dicendo: Maestro, noi abbiam veduto uno che cacciava i demoni nel nome tuo, il qual non ci seguita; e perciocchè egli non ci seguita, glielo abbiam divietato.
Y respondióle Juan, diciendo: Maestro, hemos visto á uno que en tu nombre echaba fuera los demonios, el cual no nos sigue; y se lo prohibimos, porque no nos sigue.
And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbad him, because he followeth not us.
John said to him, “Teacher, we saw someone who doesn’t follow us casting out demons in your name; and we forbade him, because he doesn’t follow us.”
Ma Gesù disse: Non gliel divietate; imperocchè niuno può far potente operazione nel nome mio, e tosto appresso dir male di me.
Y Jesús dijo: No se lo prohibáis; porque ninguno hay que haga milagro en mi nombre que luego pueda decir mal de mí.
But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me.
But Jesus said, “Don’t forbid him, for there is no one who will do a mighty work in my name and be able quickly to speak evil of me.
Perciocchè chi non è contro a noi è per noi.
Porque el que no es contra nosotros, por nosotros es.
For he that is not against us is on our part.
For whoever is not against us is on our side.
Imperocchè, chiunque vi avrà dato a bere pure un bicchier d'acqua, nel nome mio, perciocchè siete di Cristo, io vi dico in verità, ch'egli non perderà punto il suo premio.
Y cualquiera que os diere un vaso de agua en mi nombre, porque sois de Cristo, de cierto os digo que no perderá su recompensa.
For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.
For whoever will give you a cup of water to drink in my name because you are Christ’s, most certainly I tell you, he will in no way lose his reward.
E CHIUNQUE avrà scandalezzato uno di questi piccoli che credono in me, meglio per lui sarebbe che gli fosse messa intorno al collo una pietra da macina, e ch'egli fosse gettato in mare.
Y cualquiera que escandalizare á uno de estos pequeñitos que creen en mí, mejor le fuera si se le atase una piedra de molino al cuello, y fuera echado en la mar.
And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.
“Whoever will cause one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for him if he were thrown into the sea with a millstone hung around his neck.
Ora, se la tua mano ti fa intoppare, mozzala; meglio è per te entrar monco nella vita, che, avendo due mani, andar nella geenna, nel fuoco inestinguibile,
Y si tu mano te escandalizare, córtala: mejor te es entrar á la vida manco, que teniendo dos manos ir á la Gehenna, al fuego que no puede ser apagado;
And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:
If your hand causes you to stumble, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life maimed, rather than having your two hands to go into Gehenna, into the unquenchable fire,
ove il verme loro non muore, e il fuoco non si spegne.
Donde su gusano no muere, y el fuego nunca se apaga.
Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
‘where their worm doesn’t die, and the fire is not quenched.’
E se il tuo piede ti fa intoppare, mozzalo; meglio è per te entrar zoppo nella vita, che, avendo due piedi, esser gettato nella geenna, nel fuoco inestinguibile,
Y si tu pie te fuere ocasión de caer, córtalo: mejor te es entrar á la vida cojo, que teniendo dos pies ser echado en la Gehenna, al fuego que no puede ser apagado;
And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:
If your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life lame, rather than having your two feet to be cast into Gehenna, into the fire that will never be quenched—
ove il verme loro non muore, e il fuoco non si spegne.
Donde el gusano de ellos no muere, y el fuego nunca se apaga.
Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
‘where their worm doesn’t die, and the fire is not quenched.’
Parimente, se l'occhio tuo ti fa intoppare, cavalo; meglio è per te entrar con un occhio solo nella vita, che, avendone due, esser gettato nella geenna del fuoco,
Y si tu ojo te fuere ocasión de caer, sácalo: mejor te es entrar al reino de Dios con un ojo, que teniendo dos ojos ser echado á la Gehenna;
And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire:
If your eye causes you to stumble, throw it out. It is better for you to enter into God’s Kingdom with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into the Gehenna of fire,

Donde el gusano de ellos no muere, y el fuego nunca se apaga.
Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
‘where their worm doesn’t die, and the fire is not quenched.’
Perciocchè ognuno deve esser salato con fuoco, ed ogni sacrificio deve esser salato con sale.
Porque todos serán salados con fuego, y todo sacrificio será salado con sal.
For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt.
For everyone will be salted with fire, and every sacrifice will be seasoned with salt.
Il sale è buono, ma, se il sale diviene insipido, con che lo condirete?
Buena es la sal; mas si la sal fuere desabrida, ¿con qué la adobaréis? Tened en vosotros mismos sal; y tened paz los unos con los otros.
Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.

Abbiate del sale in voi stessi, e state in pace gli uni con gli altri.
