Marcos 9

Jesus prosseguiu dizendo: “Alguns de vocês que estão aqui de modo nenhum experimentarão a morte antes de verem o Reino de Deus chegar com grande poder!”

TAMBIÉN les dijo: De cierto os digo que hay algunos de los que están aquí, que no gustarán la muerte hasta que hayan visto el reino de Dios que viene con potencia.

And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power.

He said to them, “Most certainly I tell you, there are some standing here who will in no way taste death until they see God’s Kingdom come with power.”

Seis dias depois Jesus levou Pedro, Tiago e João para o cume de um monte. Ninguém mais estava ali. De repente o seu rosto começou a brilhar com glória.

Y seis días después tomó Jesús á Pedro, y á Jacobo, y á Juan, y los sacó aparte solos á un monte alto; y fué transfigurado delante de ellos.

And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them.

After six days Jesus took with him Peter, James, and John, and brought them up onto a high mountain privately by themselves, and he was changed into another form in front of them.

E sua roupa se tornou branca e resplandecia, muito mais gloriosa do que qualquer processo terreno poderia jamais branqueá-la!

Y sus vestidos se volvieron resplandecientes, muy blancos, como la nieve; tanto que ningún lavador en la tierra los puede hacer tan blancos.

And his raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow; so as no fuller on earth can white them.

His clothing became glistening, exceedingly white, like snow, such as no launderer on earth can whiten them.

Então apareceram Elias e Moisés, e começaram a falar com Jesus!

Y les apareció Elías con Moisés, que hablaban con Jesús.

And there appeared unto them Elias with Moses: and they were talking with Jesus.

Elijah and Moses appeared to them, and they were talking with Jesus.

“Mestre, isto é maravilhoso!”, exclamou Pedro. “Vamos fazer aqui três abrigos, um para o Senhor, um para Moisés e um para Elias”.

Entonces respondiendo Pedro, dice á Jesús: Maestro, bien será que nos quedemos aquí, y hagamos tres pabellones: para ti uno, y para Moisés otro, y para Elías otro;

And Peter answered and said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.

Peter answered Jesus, “Rabbi, it is good for us to be here. Let’s make three tents: one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”

Ele disse isso só para falar, porque não sabia o que dizer, pois estavam todos apavorados.

Porque no sabía lo que hablaba; que estaban espantados.

For he wist not what to say; for they were sore afraid.

For he didn’t know what to say, for they were very afraid.

Mas quando ele ainda falava essas palavras, uma nuvem os cobriu, e uma voz vinda da nuvem disse: “Este é o meu Filho amado. Escutem o que ele diz!”

Y vino una nube que les hizo sombra, y una voz de la nube, que decía: Este es mi Hijo amado: á él oid.

And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.

A cloud came, overshadowing them, and a voice came out of the cloud, “This is my beloved Son. Listen to him.”

Foi quando eles olharam em volta e não viram mais ninguém, a não ser Jesus.

Y luego, como miraron, no vieron más á nadie consigo, sino á Jesús solo.

And suddenly, when they had looked round about, they saw no man any more, save Jesus only with themselves.

Suddenly looking around, they saw no one with them any more, except Jesus only.

Enquanto estavam descendo a encosta do monte, Jesus proibiu de contarem o que haviam visto, até que o Filho do Homem tivesse ressuscitado dos mortos.

Y descendiendo ellos del monte, les mandó que á nadie dijesen lo que habían visto, sino cuando el Hijo del hombre hubiese resucitado de los muertos.

And as they came down from the mountain, he charged them that they should tell no man what things they had seen, till the Son of man were risen from the dead.

As they were coming down from the mountain, he commanded them that they should tell no one what things they had seen, until after the Son of Man had risen from the dead.

Portanto eles guardaram aquilo para si mesmos, mas discutiam entre si a respeito, e perguntaram o que ele queria dizer por “ressuscitar dos mortos”.

Y retuvieron la palabra en sí, altercando qué sería aquéllo: Resucitar de los muertos.

And they kept that saying with themselves, questioning one with another what the rising from the dead should mean.

They kept this saying to themselves, questioning what the “rising from the dead” meant.

Então eles começaram a perguntar a Jesus: “Por que os mestres da lei dizem que Elias deve vir primeiro?”

Y le preguntaron, diciendo: ¿Qué es lo que los escribas dicen, que es necesario que Elías venga antes?

And they asked him, saying, Why say the scribes that Elias must first come?

They asked him, saying, “Why do the scribes say that Elijah must come first?”

Jesus respondeu: “Na verdade, Elias vem primeiro para preparar o caminho. Mas por que está escrito que é necessário que o Filho do Homem sofra muito e seja rejeitado?

Y respondiendo él, les dijo: Elías á la verdad, viniendo antes, restituirá todas las cosas: y como está escrito del Hijo del hombre, que padezca mucho y sea tenido en nada.

And he answered and told them, Elias verily cometh first, and restoreth all things; and how it is written of the Son of man, that he must suffer many things, and be set at nought.

He said to them, “Elijah indeed comes first, and restores all things. How is it written about the Son of Man, that he should suffer many things and be despised?

Mas eu digo a vocês: Elias já veio, e o maltrataram como quiseram, como está escrito a seu respeito”.

Empero os digo que Elías ya vino, y le hicieron todo lo que quisieron, como está escrito de él.

But I say unto you, That Elias is indeed come, and they have done unto him whatsoever they listed, as it is written of him.

But I tell you that Elijah has come, and they have also done to him whatever they wanted to, even as it is written about him.”

Quando chegaram perto dos outros discípulos, encontraram uma grande multidão ao redor dos outros discípulos, enquanto alguns mestres da lei discutiam com eles.

Y como vino á los discípulos, vió grande compañía alrededor de ellos, y escribas que disputaban con ellos.

And when he came to his disciples, he saw a great multitude about them, and the scribes questioning with them.

Coming to the disciples, he saw a great multitude around them, and scribes questioning them.

A multidão olhou admirada para Jesus quando ele veio na direção deles, e então correram para cumprimentá-lo.

Y luego toda la gente, viéndole, se espantó, y corriendo á él, le saludaron.

And straightway all the people, when they beheld him, were greatly amazed, and running to him saluted him.

Immediately all the multitude, when they saw him, were greatly amazed, and running to him, greeted him.

“Sobre o que é toda esta discussão?”, perguntou Jesus.

Y preguntóles: ¿Qué disputáis con ellos?

And he asked the scribes, What question ye with them?

He asked the scribes, “What are you asking them?”

Um dos homens no meio da multidão tomou a palavra e disse: “Mestre, eu trouxe o meu filho para que o Senhor o curasse — ele não pode falar — porque está com um espírito que o impede de falar.

Y respondiendo uno de la compañía, dijo: Maestro, traje á ti mi hijo, que tiene un espíritu mudo,

And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I have brought unto thee my son, which hath a dumb spirit;

One of the multitude answered, “Teacher, I brought to you my son, who has a mute spirit;

E sempre que o espírito toma conta dele, atira-o no chão. Ele espuma pela boca, range os dentes e fica rígido. Então eu pedi aos seus discípulos que expulsassem o demônio, mas eles não conseguiram”.

El cual, donde quiera que le toma, le despedaza; y echa espumarajos, y cruje los dientes, y se va secando: y dije á tus discípulos que le echasen fuera, y no pudieron.

And wheresoever he taketh him, he teareth him: and he foameth, and gnasheth with his teeth, and pineth away: and I spake to thy disciples that they should cast him out; and they could not.

and wherever it seizes him, it throws him down; and he foams at the mouth, grinds his teeth, and becomes rigid. I asked your disciples to cast it out, and they weren’t able.”

Jesus disse: “Oh, que fé pequena vocês têm! Quanto tempo mais devo ficar com vocês até que finalmente creiam? Quanto tempo mais esperarei? Tragam-me o menino”.

Y respondiendo él, les dijo: ¡Oh generación infiel! ¿hasta cuándo estaré con vosotros? ¿hasta cuándo os tengo de sufrir? Traédmele.

He answereth him, and saith, O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him unto me.

He answered him, “Unbelieving generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him to me.”

Então o trouxeram, mas o espírito, quando viu Jesus, imediatamente causou uma convulsão no menino. Ele caiu no chão, contorcendo-se e espumando pela boca.

Y se le trajeron: y como le vió, luego el espíritu le desgarraba; y cayendo en tierra, se revolcaba, echando espumarajos.

And they brought him unto him: and when he saw him, straightway the spirit tare him; and he fell on the ground, and wallowed foaming.

They brought him to him, and when he saw him, immediately the spirit convulsed him and he fell on the ground, wallowing and foaming at the mouth.

“Há quanto tempo ele está assim?”, perguntou Jesus ao pai do menino. Ele respondeu: “Ele está assim desde que era pequeno.

Y Jesús preguntó á su padre: ¿Cuánto tiempo há que le aconteció esto? Y él dijo: Desde niño:

And he asked his father, How long is it ago since this came unto him? And he said, Of a child.

He asked his father, “How long has it been since this has been happening to him?” He said, “From childhood.

Muitas vezes o espírito o faz cair no fogo ou na água para matá-lo. Oh, tenha misericórdia de nós e, se o Senhor pode fazer alguma coisa, por favor, ajude-nos”.

Y muchas veces le echa en el fuego y en aguas, para matarle; mas, si puedes algo, ayúdanos, teniendo misericordia de nosotros.

And ofttimes it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us.

Often it has cast him both into the fire and into the water to destroy him. But if you can do anything, have compassion on us and help us.”

“Se eu posso?”, perguntou Jesus. “Qualquer coisa é possível para aquele que crê”.

Y Jesús le dijo: Si puedes creer, al que cree todo es posible.

Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”

O pai imediatamente respondeu: “Eu creio; ajude-me a ter mais fé!”

Y luego el padre del muchacho dijo clamando: Creo, ayuda mi incredulidad.

And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.

Immediately the father of the child cried out with tears, “I believe. Help my unbelief!”

Quando Jesus viu que a multidão estava se ajuntando, repreendeu o espírito. “Espírito surdo e mudo”, disse ele, “eu ordeno a você que saia desse menino e nunca mais entre nele!”

Y como Jesús vió que la multitud se agolpaba, reprendió al espíritu inmundo, diciéndole: Espíritu mudo y sordo, yo te mando, sal de él, y no entres más en él.

When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.

When Jesus saw that a multitude came running together, he rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to him, “You mute and deaf spirit, I command you, come out of him, and never enter him again!”

Então o espírito deu um grito terrível, agitou o menino violentamente e o deixou; o menino ficou deitado ali, com a aparência de morto. Correu um murmúrio pela multidão — “Ele está morto”.

Entonces el espíritu clamando y desgarrándole mucho, salió; y él quedó como muerto, de modo que muchos decían: Está muerto.

And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said, He is dead.

After crying out and convulsing him greatly, it came out of him. The boy became like one dead, so much that most of them said, “He is dead.”

Mas Jesus o tomou pela mão e o ajudou a ficar em pé; ele levantou-se e estava bem!

Mas Jesús tomándole de la mano, enderezóle; y se levantó.

But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he arose.

But Jesus took him by the hand and raised him up; and he arose.

Depois disso, quando Jesus estava sozinho com os seus discípulos em casa, eles lhe perguntaram: “Por que nós não pudemos expulsar aquele espírito?”

Y como él entró en casa, sus discípulos le preguntaron aparte: ¿Por qué nosotros no pudimos echarle fuera?

And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out?

When he had come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, “Why couldn’t we cast it out?”

Jesus respondeu: “Essa espécie só sai com oração e jejum”.

Y les dijo: Este género con nada puede salir, sino con oración y ayuno.

And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.

He said to them, “This kind can come out by nothing but by prayer and fasting.”

Eles deixaram aquela região e atravessaram a Galileia. Jesus tentava evitar que alguém soubesse onde eles estavam,

Y habiendo salido de allí, caminaron por Galilea; y no quería que nadie lo supiese.

And they departed thence, and passed through Galilee; and he would not that any man should know it.

They went out from there and passed through Galilee. He didn’t want anyone to know it,

a fim de poder passar mais tempo com os seus discípulos, ensinando-lhes. Ele lhes dizia: “O Filho do Homem será entregue nas mãos dos homens e será morto, e três dias depois ele ressuscitará”.

Porque enseñaba á sus discípulos, y les decía: El Hijo del hombre será entregado en manos de hombres, y le matarán; mas muerto él, resucitará al tercer día.

For he taught his disciples, and said unto them, The Son of man is delivered into the hands of men, and they shall kill him; and after that he is killed, he shall rise the third day.

for he was teaching his disciples, and said to them, “The Son of Man is being handed over to the hands of men, and they will kill him; and when he is killed, on the third day he will rise again.”

Porém eles não entendiam e tinham medo de perguntar o que ele queria dizer.

Pero ellos no entendían esta palabra, y tenían miedo de preguntarle.

But they understood not that saying, and were afraid to ask him.

But they didn’t understand the saying, and were afraid to ask him.

Assim chegaram a Cafarnaum. Quando eles estavam acomodados na casa onde iam ficar, ele perguntou-lhes: “Que era o que vocês estavam discutindo no caminho?”

Y llegó á Capernaum; y así que estuvo en casa, les preguntó: ¿Qué disputabais entre vosotros en el camino?

And he came to Capernaum: and being in the house he asked them, What was it that ye disputed among yourselves by the way?

He came to Capernaum, and when he was in the house he asked them, “What were you arguing among yourselves on the way?”

Porém eles ficaram em silêncio, porque discutiram sobre qual deles era o maior!

Mas ellos callaron; porque los unos con los otros habían disputado en el camino quién había de ser el mayor.

But they held their peace: for by the way they had disputed among themselves, who should be the greatest.

But they were silent, for they had disputed with one another on the way about who was the greatest.

Ele se sentou e chamou os Doze para que o rodeassem, e disse: “Todo aquele que quiser ser o primeiro, será o último, e o servo de todos!”

Entonces sentándose, llamó á los doce, y les dice: Si alguno quiere ser el primero, será el postrero de todos, y el servidor de todos.

And he sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them, If any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all.

He sat down and called the twelve; and he said to them, “If any man wants to be first, he shall be last of all, and servant of all.”

E então pôs uma criança no meio deles; tomou a criança nos braços e disse-lhes:

Y tomando un niño, púsolo en medio de ellos; y tomándole en sus brazos, les dice:

And he took a child, and set him in the midst of them: and when he had taken him in his arms, he said unto them,

He took a little child and set him in the middle of them. Taking him in his arms, he said to them,

“Todo aquele que acolher em meu nome uma criança como esta, estará me acolhendo; e todo aquele que me acolher, não está apenas me acolhendo, mas também àquele que me enviou!”

El que recibiere en mi nombre uno de los tales niños, á mí recibe; y el que á mí recibe, no recibe á mí, mas al que me envió.

Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me, receiveth not me, but him that sent me.

“Whoever receives one such little child in my name receives me; and whoever receives me, doesn’t receive me, but him who sent me.”

João disse-lhe certa vez: “Mestre, nós vimos um homem utilizando o seu nome para expulsar demônios; nós o proibimos, porque ele não é do nosso grupo”.

Y respondióle Juan, diciendo: Maestro, hemos visto á uno que en tu nombre echaba fuera los demonios, el cual no nos sigue; y se lo prohibimos, porque no nos sigue.

And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbad him, because he followeth not us.

John said to him, “Teacher, we saw someone who doesn’t follow us casting out demons in your name; and we forbade him, because he doesn’t follow us.”

“Não o proíbam”, disse Jesus, “porque ninguém que faça milagres em meu nome se voltará contra mim em seguida.

Y Jesús dijo: No se lo prohibáis; porque ninguno hay que haga milagro en mi nombre que luego pueda decir mal de mí.

But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me.

But Jesus said, “Don’t forbid him, for there is no one who will do a mighty work in my name and be able quickly to speak evil of me.

Todo aquele que não é contra nós está a favor de nós.

Porque el que no es contra nosotros, por nosotros es.

For he that is not against us is on our part.

For whoever is not against us is on our side.

Eu afirmo a vocês a verdade: Se alguém lhes der um copo de água em meu nome, porque vocês são de Cristo, eu afirmo que de modo nenhum perderá a sua recompensa.

Y cualquiera que os diere un vaso de agua en mi nombre, porque sois de Cristo, de cierto os digo que no perderá su recompensa.

For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.

For whoever will give you a cup of water to drink in my name because you are Christ’s, most certainly I tell you, he will in no way lose his reward.

“Mas, se alguém fizer tropeçar um destes pequeninos que creem em mim, seria melhor para esse homem que amarrasse uma enorme pedra de moinho em volta do seu pescoço e fosse jogado no mar.

Y cualquiera que escandalizare á uno de estos pequeñitos que creen en mí, mejor le fuera si se le atase una piedra de molino al cuello, y fuera echado en la mar.

And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.

“Whoever will cause one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for him if he were thrown into the sea with a millstone hung around his neck.

Se a sua mão o leva a praticar o mal, corte-a! É melhor viver para sempre mutilado do que ter as duas mãos e ser jogado no inferno, onde as chamas nunca se apagam,

Y si tu mano te escandalizare, córtala: mejor te es entrar á la vida manco, que teniendo dos manos ir á la Gehenna, al fuego que no puede ser apagado;

And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:

If your hand causes you to stumble, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life maimed, rather than having your two hands to go into Gehenna, into the unquenchable fire,

onde o seu verme não morre, e o fogo não se apaga.

Donde su gusano no muere, y el fuego nunca se apaga.

Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

‘where their worm doesn’t die, and the fire is not quenched.’

E se o seu pé o leva a praticar o mal, corte-o! É melhor ser coxo e viver para sempre do que ter dois pés e ser lançado no inferno,

Y si tu pie te fuere ocasión de caer, córtalo: mejor te es entrar á la vida cojo, que teniendo dos pies ser echado en la Gehenna, al fuego que no puede ser apagado;

And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:

If your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life lame, rather than having your two feet to be cast into Gehenna, into the fire that will never be quenched—

onde o seu verme não morre, e o fogo não se apaga.

Donde el gusano de ellos no muere, y el fuego nunca se apaga.

Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

‘where their worm doesn’t die, and the fire is not quenched.’

“E se o seu olho o leva a praticar o mal, arranque-o fora. É melhor entrar no Reino de Deus com um olho só do que ter os dois olhos e ser lançado no inferno,

Y si tu ojo te fuere ocasión de caer, sácalo: mejor te es entrar al reino de Dios con un ojo, que teniendo dos ojos ser echado á la Gehenna;

And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire:

If your eye causes you to stumble, throw it out. It is better for you to enter into God’s Kingdom with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into the Gehenna of fire,

onde os vermes nunca morrem e o fogo nunca se apaga.

Donde el gusano de ellos no muere, y el fuego nunca se apaga.

Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

‘where their worm doesn’t die, and the fire is not quenched.’

“Cada um será salgado com fogo.

Porque todos serán salados con fuego, y todo sacrificio será salado con sal.

For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt.

For everyone will be salted with fire, and every sacrifice will be seasoned with salt.

“O sal é bom, mas não vale nada se perder o seu sabor; aí não tem como restaurá-lo. Tenham sal em vocês e vivam em paz uns com os outros”.

Buena es la sal; mas si la sal fuere desabrida, ¿con qué la adobaréis? Tened en vosotros mismos sal; y tened paz los unos con los otros.

Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.

Salt is good, but if the salt has lost its saltiness, with what will you season it? Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace with one another.”
