Dios celoso y vengador es Jehová; vengador es Jehová, y Señor de ira; Jehová, que se venga de sus adversarios, y que guarda enojo para sus enemigos.
God is jealous, and the LORD revengeth; the LORD revengeth, and is furious; the LORD will take vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserveth wrath for his enemies.

What do ye imagine against the LORD? he will make an utter end: affliction shall not rise up the second time.

Porque estos asirios, que se juntan a beber allá en sus comilonas, consumidos serán como haces de espinos bien atados entre sí, y como sequísimo heno.

For while they be folden together as thorns, and while they are drunken as drunkards, they shall be devoured as stubble fully dry.

De ti, ¡oh Nínive!, saldrá aquel que piensa mal o impíamente contra el Señor, y que revuelve en su ánimo pérfidos designios.
De ti salió el que pensó mal contra Jehová, un consultor impío.
There is one come out of thee, that imagineth evil against the LORD, a wicked counsellor.
One has gone out of you who devises evil against the LORD, who counsels wickedness.
Esto dice el Señor: Aunque sean ellos tan fuertes y en tan gran número, con todo eso serán cortados, y pasarán a ser nada. Yo te he afligido, ¡oh pueblo mío!, pero no te afligiré ya más por medio de ellos.
Así ha dicho Jehová: Aunque reposo tengan, y sean tantos, así serán talados, y él pasará. Bien que te he afligido, no más te afligiré.
Thus saith the LORD; Though they be quiet, and likewise many, yet thus shall they be cut down, when he shall pass through. Though I have afflicted thee, I will afflict thee no more.

Y ahora romperé la vara de su tiranía que descarga sobre tus espaldas, y quebraré tus cadenas.

Y el Señor pronunciará contra ti, ¡oh Nínive!, esta sentencia: No quedará más semilla de tu nombre, exterminaré de la casa de tu falso dios, los simulacros y los ídolos de fundición; haré sepulcro tuyo, y tú quedarás deshonrada.
Mas acerca de ti mandará Jehová, que nunca más sea sembrado alguno de tu nombre: de la casa de tu dios talaré escultura y estatua de fundición, haréla tu sepulcro; porque fuiste vil.
And the LORD hath given a commandment concerning thee, that no more of thy name be sown: out of the house of thy gods will I cut off the graven image and the molten image: I will make thy grave; for thou art vile.
The LORD has commanded concerning you: “No more descendants will bear your name. Out of the house of your gods, I will cut off the engraved image and the molten image. I will make your grave, for you are vile.”

Behold upon the mountains the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace! O Judah, keep thy solemn feasts, perform thy vows: for the wicked shall no more pass through thee; he is utterly cut off.
