Nínive está destruída, deserta, desolada! Os corações se derretem de pavor. Os joelhos estremecem. O povo de Nínive assiste a tudo isso horrorizado, pálido e tremendo de medo.

Vacía, y agotada, y despedazada está, y el corazón derretido: batimiento de rodillas, y dolor en todos riñones, y los rostros de todos tomarán negrura.

She is empty, and void, and waste: and the heart melteth, and the knees smite together, and much pain is in all loins, and the faces of them all gather blackness.
