O re di Assur, i tuoi pastori sono addormentati; i tuoi bravi guerrieri si son ritratti in casa loro; il tuo popolo è disperso su per li monti, e non vi è alcuno che lo raccolga.

Durmieron tus pastores, oh rey de Asiria, reposaron tus valientes: tu pueblo se derramó por los montes, y no hay quien lo junte.

Thy shepherds slumber, O king of Assyria: thy nobles shall dwell in the dust: thy people is scattered upon the mountains, and no man gathereth them.

Your shepherds slumber, king of Assyria. Your nobles lie down. Your people are scattered on the mountains, and there is no one to gather them.
