37También acordamos llevar a los almacenes del templo de nuestro Dios la primera harina del trigo que moliéramos, los primeros frutos de los árboles, el primer vino y el primer aceite de oliva. Estas ofrendas eran para los sacerdotes que sirven en el templo. Además, acordamos dar a los levitas la décima parte de todo lo producido por nuestra tierra, ya que eran ellos los responsables de recoger los diezmos en todas las poblaciones rurales.

37and that we should bring the first fruits of our dough, our wave offerings, the fruit of all kinds of trees, and the new wine and the oil, to the priests, to the rooms of the house of our God; and the tithes of our ground to the Levites; for they, the Levites, take the tithes in all our farming villages.
