1Esta es la lista de los sacerdotes y levitas que volvieron con Zorobabel, hijo de Sealtiel, y Jesúa, el sumo sacerdote: Seraías, Jeremías, Esdras,
2Amarías, Maluc, Hatús,
3Secanías, Rehum, Meremot,
4Iddo, Gineto, Abías,
5Miamín, Maadías, Bilga,
6Semaías, Joiarib, Jedaías,
7Salú, Amoc, Hilcías y Jedaías. Estos eran los líderes de los sacerdotes y sus parientes en el tiempo de Jesúa.
8Los levitas eran Jesúa, Binúi, Cadmiel, Serebías, Judá y Matanías, quien con sus compañeros levitas estaba a cargo de los cantos de alabanza.
9Otros dos levitas, Bacbuquías y Uni, estaban frente a ellos en el servicio.
10El sumo sacerdote Jesúa era el padre de Joiacim, que era el padre de Eliasib, que era el padre de Joiada,
11que era el padre de Jonatán, que era el padre de Jadúa.
12En tiempos de Joiacim, estos eran los jefes de familia de los sacerdotes de la familia de Seraías, Meraías; de la de Jeremías, Ananías;
13de la de Esdras, Mesulam; de la de Amarías, Johanán;
14de la de Maluci, Jonatán; de la de Sebanías, José;
15de la de Harim, Adna; de la de Meraiot, Helcai;
16de la de Iddo, Zacarías; de la de Gineto, Mesulam
17de Abías, Zicri; de Miiamín y de Maadías, Piltai;
18de Bilga, Samúa; de Semaías, Jonatán;
19de Joiarib, Matenai; de Jedaías, Uzi;

21de Hicíash, Hasabías; de Jedaías, Natanael.
22Los jefes de familia de los levitas en la época de Eliasib, Joiada, Johanán y Jaddua, además de los de los sacerdotes, fueron registrados durante el reinado de Darío el Persa.
23En cuanto a la genealogía de los hijos de Leví, los jefes de familia hasta la época de Johanán, hijo de Eliasib, fueron inscritos en el Libro de los Registros.
24Los jefes de los levitas eran Hasabías, Serebías y Jesúa, hijo de Cadmiel, junto con sus compañeros levitas, que estaban de pie frente a ellos, cada sección dando alabanzas y agradecimientos y respondiendo unos a otros, según lo dispuesto por David, el hombre de Dios.
25Se les unieron Matanías, Bacbucías y Abdías. Mesulam, Talmón y Acub eran guardianes de los almacenes de las puertas.
26Sirvieron en tiempos de Joiaquim, hijo de Jesúa, hijo de Josadac, y en tiempos del gobernador Nehemías y del sacerdote y escriba Esdras.
27Para dedicar el muro de Jerusalén, se llamó a los levitas de todos los lugares donde vivían para que vinieran a Jerusalén y celebraran con alegría la dedicación con cantos de alabanza y agradecimiento, acompañados de címbalos, arpas y liras.

29así como de Bet-gilgal y de la zona de Geba y Azmavet, pues los cantores se habían construido aldeas alrededor de Jerusalén.
30Una vez que los sacerdotes y los levitas se purificaron, purificaron el pueblo, las puertas y la muralla.
31Hice que los jefes de Judá subieran a la muralla y dispuse dos grandes coros para dar gracias. Un grupo se dirigió a la derecha de la muralla, hasta la Puerta del Desecho.
32Los siguieron Oseas y la mitad de los dirigentes de Judá,
33con Azarías, Esdras, Mesulam,
34Judá, Benjamín, Semaías y Jeremías,
35así como algunos de los sacerdotes con trompetas, y Zacarías, hijo de Jonatán, hijo de Semaías hijo de Matanías, hijo de Micaías, hijo de Zaccur, hijo de Asaf,
36y sus compañeros sacerdotes, Semaías, Azarel, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Netanel, Judá y Hanani, junto con los instrumentos musicales, tal como lo exigió David, el hombre de Dios. El escriba Esdras los dirigía.
37En la Puerta de la Fuente se dirigieron hacia arriba por la escalera de la ciudad de David, donde la muralla sube, por encima de la casa de David, y hacia la Puerta del Agua, al este.
38El otro grupo del coro fue en dirección contraria. Los seguí, junto con la mitad del pueblo, por la muralla, pasando por la Torre de los Hornos, hasta la Muralla Ancha,
39por la Puerta de Efraín, la Puerta de Jesana, la Puerta del Pescado, la Torre de Hananel y la Torre de los Cien, hasta la Puerta de las Ovejas, deteniéndose en la Puerta de la Guardia.
40Los dos coros de acción de gracias ocuparon entonces su lugar en el Templo de Dios. Yo seguí con el grupo de líderes que me acompañaba,
41junto con los sacerdotes que tocaban sus trompetas: Eliaquim, Maasías, Miniamin, Micaías, Elioenai, Zacarías y Ananías.
42Luego vinieron los cantores Maasías, Semaías, Eleazar, Uzzi, Johanán, Malquías, Elam y Ezer, y los coros cantaron, dirigidos por Izrahías.
43Ese día se ofrecieron muchos sacrificios, celebrando que Dios les había traído tanta felicidad, una felicidad tremenda. Las mujeres y los niños también celebraron, y los sonidos de alegría en Jerusalén se podían escuchar a lo lejos.
44Ese mismo día se pusieron hombres a cargo de los almacenes que contenían las ofrendas, la primera parte de las cosechas y los diezmos. Lo que la Ley asignaba a los sacerdotes y a los levitas se llevaba a estos almacenes desde los campos de los alrededores de las ciudades, porque todo el pueblo de Judá se alegraba por el servicio de los sacerdotes y de los levitas.
45Ellos eran responsables del culto a su Dios y del servicio de purificación, junto con los cantores y los porteros, siguiendo las instrucciones de David y de su hijo Salomón.
46Porque hace mucho tiempo, en tiempos de David y de Asaf, se habían designado directores para los cantores y para los cantos de alabanza y de agradecimiento a Dios.
47Así que en el tiempo de Zorobabel y de Nehemías, todos en Israel proveían las dietas para los cantores y los porteros. También se aseguraban de proveer para los otros levitas, y los levitas daban una parte de esto a los descendientes de Aarón.

12Y en los días de Joiacim los sacerdotes cabezas de familias fueron: de Seraías, Meraías; de Jeremías, Hananías;
13De Esdras, Mesullam; de Amarías, Johanán;
14De Melichâ, Jonathán; de Sebanías, Joseph;
15De Harim, Adna; de Meraioth, Helcai;

23Los hijos de Leví, cabezas de familias, fueron escritos en el libro de las crónicas hasta los días de Johanán, hijo de Eliasib.
24Los cabezas de los Levitas: Hasabías, Serebías, y Jesuá hijo de Cadmiel, y sus hermanos delante de ellos, para alabar y para rendir gracias, conforme al estatuto de David varón de Dios, guardando su turno.
25Mathanías, y Bacbucías, Obadías, Mesullam, Talmón, Accub, guardas, eran porteros para la guardia á las entradas de las puertas.
26Estos fueron en los días de Joiacim, hijo de Jesuá, hijo de Josadac, y en los días del gobernador Nehemías, y del sacerdote Esdras, escriba.
27Y á la dedicación del muro de Jerusalem buscaron á los Levitas de todos sus lugares, para traerlos á Jerusalem, para hacer la dedicación y la fiesta con alabanzas y con cánticos, con címbalos, salterios y cítaras.
28Y fueron reunidos los hijos de los cantores, así de la campiña alrededor de Jerusalem como de las aldeas de Netophati;
29Y de la casa de Gilgal, y de los campos de Geba, y de Azmaveth; porque los cantores se habían edificado aldeas alrededor de Jerusalem.
30Y se purificaron los sacerdotes y los Levitas; y purificaron al pueblo, y las puertas, y el muro.
31Hice luego subir á los príncipes de Judá sobre el muro, y puse dos coros grandes que fueron en procesión: el uno á la mano derecha sobre el muro hacia la puerta del Muladar.
32E iba tras de ellos Osaías, y la mitad de los príncipes de Judá,
33Y Azarías, Esdras y Mesullam,
34Judá y Benjamín, y Semaías, y Jeremías;
35Y de los hijos de los sacerdotes iban con trompetas, Zacarías hijo de Jonathán, hijo de Semaías, hijo de Mathanías, hijo de Michâías, hijo de Zachûr, hijo de Asaph;
36Y sus hermanos Semaías, y Azarael, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nathanael, Judá y Hanani, con los instrumentos músicos de David varón de Dios; y Esdras escriba, delante de ellos.
37Y á la puerta de la Fuente, en derecho delante de ellos, subieron por las gradas de la ciudad de David, por la subida del muro, desde la casa de David hasta la puerta de las Aguas al oriente.
38Y el segundo coro iba del lado opuesto, y yo en pos de él, con la mitad del pueblo sobre el muro, desde la torre de los Hornos hasta el muro ancho;
39Y desde la puerta de Ephraim hasta la puerta vieja, y á la puerta del Pescado, y la torre de Hananeel, y la torre de Hamath, hasta la puerta de las Ovejas: y pararon en la puerta de la Cárcel.
40Pararon luego los dos coros en la casa de Dios; y yo, y la mitad de los magistrados conmigo;
41Y los sacerdotes, Eliacim, Maaseías, Miniamin, Michâías, Elioenai, Zacarías, y Hananías, con trompetas;
42Y Maaseías, y Semeías, y Eleazar, y Uzzi, y Johanán, y Malchías, y Elam, y Ezer. Y los cantores cantaban alto, é Israhía era el prefecto.
43Y sacrificaron aquel día grandes víctimas, é hicieron alegrías; porque Dios los había recreado con grande contentamiento: alegráronse también las mujeres y muchachos; y el alborozo de Jerusalem fué oído de lejos.
44Y en aquel día fueron puestos varones sobre las cámaras de los tesoros, de las ofrendas, de las primicias, y de los diezmos, para juntar en ellas, de los campos de las ciudades, las porciones legales para los sacerdotes y Levitas: porque era grande el gozo de Judá con respecto á los sacerdotes y Levitas que asistían.
45Y habían guardado la observancia de su Dios, y la observancia de la expiación, como también los cantores y los porteros, conforme al estatuto de David y de Salomón su hijo.
46Porque desde el tiempo de David y de Asaph, ya de antiguo, había príncipes de cantores, y cántico y alabanza, y acción de gracias á Dios.
47Y todo Israel en días de Zorobabel, y en días de Nehemías, daba raciones á los cantores y á los porteros, cada cosa en su día: consagraban asimismo sus porciones á los Levitas, y los Levitas consagraban parte á los hijos de Aarón.

24And the chief of the Levites: Hashabiah, Sherebiah, and Jeshua the son of Kadmiel, with their brethren over against them, to praise and to give thanks, according to the commandment of David the man of God, ward over against ward.
25Mattaniah, and Bakbukiah, Obadiah, Meshullam, Talmon, Akkub, were porters keeping the ward at the thresholds of the gates.
26These were in the days of Joiakim the son of Jeshua, the son of Jozadak, and in the days of Nehemiah the governor, and of Ezra the priest, the scribe.
27And at the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem they sought the Levites out of all their places, to bring them to Jerusalem, to keep the dedication with gladness, both with thanksgivings, and with singing, with cymbals, psalteries, and with harps.
28And the sons of the singers gathered themselves together, both out of the plain country round about Jerusalem, and from the villages of Netophathi;
29Also from the house of Gilgal, and out of the fields of Geba and Azmaveth: for the singers had builded them villages round about Jerusalem.
30And the priests and the Levites purified themselves, and purified the people, and the gates, and the wall.
31Then I brought up the princes of Judah upon the wall, and appointed two great companies of them that gave thanks, whereof one went on the right hand upon the wall toward the dung gate:
32And after them went Hoshaiah, and half of the princes of Judah,
33And Azariah, Ezra, and Meshullam,
34Judah, and Benjamin, and Shemaiah, and Jeremiah,
35And certain of the priests’ sons with trumpets; namely, Zechariah the son of Jonathan, the son of Shemaiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Michaiah, the son of Zaccur, the son of Asaph:
36And his brethren, Shemaiah, and Azarael, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethaneel, and Judah, Hanani, with the musical instruments of David the man of God, and Ezra the scribe before them.
37And at the fountain gate, which was over against them, they went up by the stairs of the city of David, at the going up of the wall, above the house of David, even unto the water gate eastward.
38And the other company of them that gave thanks went over against them, and I after them, and the half of the people upon the wall, from beyond the tower of the furnaces even unto the broad wall;
39And from above the gate of Ephraim, and above the old gate, and above the fish gate, and the tower of Hananeel, and the tower of Meah, even unto the sheep gate: and they stood still in the prison gate.
40So stood the two companies of them that gave thanks in the house of God, and I, and the half of the rulers with me:
41And the priests; Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Michaiah, Elioenai, Zechariah, and Hananiah, with trumpets;
42And Maaseiah, and Shemaiah, and Eleazar, and Uzzi, and Jehohanan, and Malchijah, and Elam, and Ezer. And the singers sang loud, with Jezrahiah their overseer.
43Also that day they offered great sacrifices, and rejoiced: for God had made them rejoice with great joy: the wives also and the children rejoiced: so that the joy of Jerusalem was heard even afar off.
44And at that time were some appointed over the chambers for the treasures, for the offerings, for the firstfruits, and for the tithes, to gather into them out of the fields of the cities the portions of the law for the priests and Levites: for Judah rejoiced for the priests and for the Levites that waited.
45And both the singers and the porters kept the ward of their God, and the ward of the purification, according to the commandment of David, and of Solomon his son.
46For in the days of David and Asaph of old there were chief of the singers, and songs of praise and thanksgiving unto God.
47And all Israel in the days of Zerubbabel, and in the days of Nehemiah, gave the portions of the singers and the porters, every day his portion: and they sanctified holy things unto the Levites; and the Levites sanctified them unto the children of Aaron.

26These were in the days of Joiakim the son of Jeshua, the son of Jozadak, and in the days of Nehemiah the governor, and of Ezra the priest and scribe.
27At the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem, they sought the Levites out of all their places, to bring them to Jerusalem to keep the dedication with gladness, both with giving thanks and with singing, with cymbals, stringed instruments, and with harps.

39and above the gate of Ephraim, and by the old gate, and by the fish gate, the tower of Hananel, and the tower of Hammeah, even to the sheep gate; and they stood still in the gate of the guard.
40So the two companies of those who gave thanks in God’s house stood, and I and the half of the rulers with me;
41and the priests, Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Micaiah, Elioenai, Zechariah, and Hananiah, with trumpets;
42and Maaseiah, Shemaiah, Eleazar, Uzzi, Jehohanan, Malchijah, Elam, and Ezer. The singers sang loud, with Jezrahiah their overseer.
43They offered great sacrifices that day, and rejoiced, for God had made them rejoice with great joy; and the women and the children also rejoiced, so that the joy of Jerusalem was heard even far away.
44On that day, men were appointed over the rooms for the treasures, for the wave offerings, for the first fruits, and for the tithes, to gather into them according to the fields of the cities the portions appointed by the law for the priests and Levites; for Judah rejoiced for the priests and for the Levites who served.
45They performed the duty of their God and the duty of the purification, and so did the singers and the gatekeepers, according to the commandment of David and of Solomon his son.
46For in the days of David and Asaph of old there was a chief of the singers, and songs of praise and thanksgiving to God.
47All Israel in the days of Zerubbabel and in the days of Nehemiah gave the portions of the singers and the gatekeepers, as every day required; and they set apart that which was for the Levites; and the Levites set apart that which was for the sons of Aaron.
