Geschichte Nehemias, des Sohnes Hakaljas. Und es geschah im Monat Kislew des zwanzigsten Jahres, als ich in der Burg Susan war,

PALABRAS de Nehemías, hijo de Hachâlías. Y acaeció en el mes de Chisleu, en el año veinte, estando yo en Susán, capital del reino,

The words of Nehemiah the son of Hachaliah. And it came to pass in the month Chisleu, in the twentieth year, as I was in Shushan the palace,

The words of Nehemiah the son of Hacaliah. Now in the month Chislev, in the twentieth year, as I was in Susa the palace,

da kam Hanani, einer von meinen Brüdern, er und einige Männer aus Juda. Und ich fragte sie nach den Juden, den Entronnenen, die von der Gefangenschaft übriggeblieben waren, und nach Jerusalem.

Que vino Hanani, uno de mis hermanos, él y ciertos varones de Judá, y preguntéles por los Judíos que habían escapado, que habían quedado de la cautividad, y por Jerusalem.

That Hanani, one of my brethren, came, he and certain men of Judah; and I asked them concerning the Jews that had escaped, which were left of the captivity, and concerning Jerusalem.

Und sie sprachen zu mir: Die Übriggebliebenen, die von der Gefangenschaft dort in der Landschaft übriggeblieben sind, sind in großem Unglück und in Schmach; und die Mauer von Jerusalem ist niedergerissen, und seine Tore sind mit Feuer verbrannt.

Y dijéronme: El residuo, los que quedaron de la cautividad allí en la provincia, están en gran mal y afrenta, y el muro de Jerusalem derribado, y sus puertas quemadas á fuego.

And they said unto me, The remnant that are left of the captivity there in the province are in great affliction and reproach: the wall of Jerusalem also is broken down, and the gates thereof are burned with fire.

They said to me, “The remnant who are left of the captivity there in the province are in great affliction and reproach. The wall of Jerusalem is also broken down, and its gates are burned with fire.”

Und es geschah, als ich diese Worte hörte, setzte ich mich hin und weinte und trug Leid tagelang; und ich fastete und betete vor dem Gott des Himmels und sprach:

Y fué que, como yo oí estas palabras, sentéme y lloré, y enlutéme por algunos días, y ayuné y oré delante del Dios de los cielos.

And it came to pass, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned certain days, and fasted, and prayed before the God of heaven,

Ach, Jehova, Gott des Himmels, du, der große und furchtbare Gott, der den Bund und die Güte denen bewahrt, die ihn lieben und seine Gebote halten:

Y dije: Ruégote, oh Jehová, Dios de los cielos, fuerte, grande, y terrible, que guarda el pacto y la misericordia á los que le aman y guardan sus mandamientos;

And said, I beseech thee, O LORD God of heaven, the great and terrible God, that keepeth covenant and mercy for them that love him and observe his commandments:

and said, “I beg you, LORD, the God of heaven, the great and awesome God who keeps covenant and loving kindness with those who love him and keep his commandments,

laß doch dein Ohr aufmerksam und deine Augen offen sein, daß du hörest auf das Gebet deines Knechtes, welches ich heute, Tag und Nacht, für die Kinder Israel, deine Knechte, vor dir bete, und wie ich die Sünden der Kinder Israel bekenne, die wir gegen dich begangen haben! Auch wir, ich und meines Vaters Haus, haben gesündigt.

Esté ahora atento tu oído, y tus ojos abiertos, para oir la oración de tu siervo, que yo hago ahora delante de ti día y noche, por los hijos de Israel tus siervos; y confieso los pecados de los hijos de Israel que hemos contra ti cometido; sí, yo y la casa de mi padre hemos pecado.

Let thine ear now be attentive, and thine eyes open, that thou mayest hear the prayer of thy servant, which I pray before thee now, day and night, for the children of Israel thy servants, and confess the sins of the children of Israel, which we have sinned against thee: both I and my father’s house have sinned.

let your ear now be attentive and your eyes open, that you may listen to the prayer of your servant which I pray before you at this time, day and night, for the children of Israel your servants, while I confess the sins of the children of Israel which we have sinned against you. Yes, I and my father’s house have sinned.

Wir haben sehr verderbt gegen dich gehandelt und haben nicht beobachtet die Gebote und die Satzungen und die Rechte, welche du deinem Knechte Mose geboten hast.

En extremo nos hemos corrompido contra ti, y no hemos guardado los mandamientos, y estatutos y juicios, que mandaste á Moisés tu siervo.

We have dealt very corruptly against thee, and have not kept the commandments, nor the statutes, nor the judgments, which thou commandedst thy servant Moses.

We have dealt very corruptly against you, and have not kept the commandments, nor the statutes, nor the ordinances, which you commanded your servant Moses.

Gedenke doch des Wortes, das du deinem Knechte Mose geboten hast, indem du sprachst: Werdet ihr treulos handeln, so werde ich euch unter die Völker zerstreuen;

Acuérdate ahora de la palabra que ordenaste á Moisés tu siervo, diciendo: Vosotros prevaricaréis, y yo os esparciré por los pueblos:

Remember, I beseech thee, the word that thou commandedst thy servant Moses, saying, If ye transgress, I will scatter you abroad among the nations:

“Remember, I beg you, the word that you commanded your servant Moses, saying, ‘If you trespass, I will scatter you among the peoples;

wenn ihr aber zu mir umkehret und meine Gebote beobachtet und sie tut: sollten eure Vertriebenen am Ende des Himmels sein, so würde ich sie von dannen sammeln und sie an den Ort bringen, den ich erwählt habe, um meinen Namen daselbst wohnen zu lassen!

Mas os volveréis á mí, y guardaréis mis mandamientos, y los pondréis por obra. Si fuere vuestro lanzamiento hasta el cabo de los cielos, de allí os juntaré; y traerlos he al lugar que escogí para hacer habitar allí mi nombre.

But if ye turn unto me, and keep my commandments, and do them; though there were of you cast out unto the uttermost part of the heaven, yet will I gather them from thence, and will bring them unto the place that I have chosen to set my name there.

but if you return to me, and keep my commandments and do them, though your outcasts were in the uttermost part of the heavens, yet I will gather them from there, and will bring them to the place that I have chosen, to cause my name to dwell there.’

Sie sind ja deine Knechte und dein Volk, das du erlöst hast durch deine große Kraft und deine starke Hand.

Ellos pues son tus siervos y tu pueblo, los cuales redimiste con tu gran fortaleza, y con tu mano fuerte.

Now these are thy servants and thy people, whom thou hast redeemed by thy great power, and by thy strong hand.

“Now these are your servants and your people, whom you have redeemed by your great power and by your strong hand.

Ach, Herr, laß doch dein Ohr aufmerksam sein auf das Gebet deines Knechtes und auf das Gebet deiner Knechte, die Gefallen daran finden, deinen Namen zu fürchten; und laß es doch deinem Knechte heute gelingen und gewähre ihm Barmherzigkeit vor diesem Manne! Ich war nämlich Mundschenk des Königs.

Ruégote, oh Jehová, esté ahora atento tu oído á la oración de tu siervo, y á la oración de tus siervos, quienes desean temer tu nombre: y ahora concede hoy próspero suceso á tu siervo, y dale gracia delante de aquel varón. Porque yo servía de copero al rey.

O Lord, I beseech thee, let now thine ear be attentive to the prayer of thy servant, and to the prayer of thy servants, who desire to fear thy name: and prosper, I pray thee, thy servant this day, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man. For I was the king’s cupbearer.

Lord, I beg you, let your ear be attentive now to the prayer of your servant, and to the prayer of your servants who delight to fear your name; and please prosper your servant today, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man.” Now I was cup bearer to the king.
