Nehemías 1

Die Worte Nehemias, des Sohnes Hachaljas. Es begab sich im Monat Kislew im zwanzigsten Regierungsjahre des Königs Arthasastha, als ich mich in der Königsstadt Susa befand,

PALABRAS de Nehemías, hijo de Hachâlías. Y acaeció en el mes de Chisleu, en el año veinte, estando yo en Susán, capital del reino,

The words of Nehemiah the son of Hachaliah. And it came to pass in the month Chisleu, in the twentieth year, as I was in Shushan the palace,

The words of Nehemiah the son of Hacaliah. Now in the month Chislev, in the twentieth year, as I was in Susa the palace,

daß Hanani, einer von meinen Brüdern, mit einigen Männern aus Juda (zu mir) kam. Als ich mich nun bei ihnen nach den Juden, die in der Heimat zurückgeblieben und der Wegführung entgangen waren, und nach (den Verhältnissen in) Jerusalem erkundigte,

Que vino Hanani, uno de mis hermanos, él y ciertos varones de Judá, y preguntéles por los Judíos que habían escapado, que habían quedado de la cautividad, y por Jerusalem.

That Hanani, one of my brethren, came, he and certain men of Judah; and I asked them concerning the Jews that had escaped, which were left of the captivity, and concerning Jerusalem.

teilten sie mir mit: »Die Übriggebliebenen, die dort in der Provinz der (Wegführung in die) Gefangenschaft entgangen sind, befinden sich in großem Elend und in schmachvoller Lage; die Mauern Jerusalems sind niedergerissen und die Tore der Stadt mit Feuer verbrannt.«

Y dijéronme: El residuo, los que quedaron de la cautividad allí en la provincia, están en gran mal y afrenta, y el muro de Jerusalem derribado, y sus puertas quemadas á fuego.

And they said unto me, The remnant that are left of the captivity there in the province are in great affliction and reproach: the wall of Jerusalem also is broken down, and the gates thereof are burned with fire.

They said to me, “The remnant who are left of the captivity there in the province are in great affliction and reproach. The wall of Jerusalem is also broken down, and its gates are burned with fire.”

Als ich diese Mitteilungen vernahm, setzte ich mich (auf den Boden) hin und fing an zu weinen und trug tagelang Trauer unter beständigem Fasten und Flehen und richtete an den Gott des Himmels folgendes Gebet:

Y fué que, como yo oí estas palabras, sentéme y lloré, y enlutéme por algunos días, y ayuné y oré delante del Dios de los cielos.

And it came to pass, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned certain days, and fasted, and prayed before the God of heaven,

»Ach HERR, du Gott des Himmels, du großer und furchtbarer Gott, der du denen, die dich lieben und deine Gebote halten, Bundestreue und Gnade bewahrst:

Y dije: Ruégote, oh Jehová, Dios de los cielos, fuerte, grande, y terrible, que guarda el pacto y la misericordia á los que le aman y guardan sus mandamientos;

And said, I beseech thee, O LORD God of heaven, the great and terrible God, that keepeth covenant and mercy for them that love him and observe his commandments:

and said, “I beg you, LORD, the God of heaven, the great and awesome God who keeps covenant and loving kindness with those who love him and keep his commandments,

laß doch deine Ohren aufmerken und deine Augen geöffnet sein, daß du das Gebet deines Knechtes vernimmst, welches ich jetzt Tag und Nacht für die Kinder Israel, deine Knechte, vor dir bete und in welchem ich die Sünden bekenne, die wir Israeliten gegen dich begangen haben! Denn auch ich und meines Vaters Haus haben gesündigt.

Esté ahora atento tu oído, y tus ojos abiertos, para oir la oración de tu siervo, que yo hago ahora delante de ti día y noche, por los hijos de Israel tus siervos; y confieso los pecados de los hijos de Israel que hemos contra ti cometido; sí, yo y la casa de mi padre hemos pecado.

Let thine ear now be attentive, and thine eyes open, that thou mayest hear the prayer of thy servant, which I pray before thee now, day and night, for the children of Israel thy servants, and confess the sins of the children of Israel, which we have sinned against thee: both I and my father’s house have sinned.

let your ear now be attentive and your eyes open, that you may listen to the prayer of your servant which I pray before you at this time, day and night, for the children of Israel your servants, while I confess the sins of the children of Israel which we have sinned against you. Yes, I and my father’s house have sinned.

Gar verwerflich haben wir gegen dich gehandelt, daß wir die Gebote, Satzungen und Anordnungen, die du deinem Knechte Mose geboten hast, nicht befolgt haben.

En extremo nos hemos corrompido contra ti, y no hemos guardado los mandamientos, y estatutos y juicios, que mandaste á Moisés tu siervo.

We have dealt very corruptly against thee, and have not kept the commandments, nor the statutes, nor the judgments, which thou commandedst thy servant Moses.

We have dealt very corruptly against you, and have not kept the commandments, nor the statutes, nor the ordinances, which you commanded your servant Moses.

Ach, gedenke doch der Verheißung, die du deinem Knechte Mose gegeben hast mit den Worten:: ›Wenn ihr treulos handelt, so werde ich euch unter die Völker zerstreuen;

Acuérdate ahora de la palabra que ordenaste á Moisés tu siervo, diciendo: Vosotros prevaricaréis, y yo os esparciré por los pueblos:

Remember, I beseech thee, the word that thou commandedst thy servant Moses, saying, If ye transgress, I will scatter you abroad among the nations:

“Remember, I beg you, the word that you commanded your servant Moses, saying, ‘If you trespass, I will scatter you among the peoples;

wenn ihr aber zu mir umkehrt und meine Gebote beobachtet und danach tut, so will ich, wenn sich auch Versprengte von euch am Ende des Himmels befinden sollten, sie doch von dort sammeln und sie an die Stätte zurückbringen, die ich erwählt habe, um meinen Namen dort wohnen zu lassen!‹

Mas os volveréis á mí, y guardaréis mis mandamientos, y los pondréis por obra. Si fuere vuestro lanzamiento hasta el cabo de los cielos, de allí os juntaré; y traerlos he al lugar que escogí para hacer habitar allí mi nombre.

But if ye turn unto me, and keep my commandments, and do them; though there were of you cast out unto the uttermost part of the heaven, yet will I gather them from thence, and will bring them unto the place that I have chosen to set my name there.

but if you return to me, and keep my commandments and do them, though your outcasts were in the uttermost part of the heavens, yet I will gather them from there, and will bring them to the place that I have chosen, to cause my name to dwell there.’

Sie sind ja doch deine Knechte und dein Volk, das du durch deine große Kraft und deinen starken Arm erlöst hast!

Ellos pues son tus siervos y tu pueblo, los cuales redimiste con tu gran fortaleza, y con tu mano fuerte.

Now these are thy servants and thy people, whom thou hast redeemed by thy great power, and by thy strong hand.

“Now these are your servants and your people, whom you have redeemed by your great power and by your strong hand.

Ach, HERR, laß doch dein Ohr aufmerken auf das Gebet deines Knechtes und auf das Gebet deiner Knechte, die gewillt sind (ihre Freude daran haben), deinen Namen zu fürchten! Laß es doch heute deinem Knecht gelingen und laß ihn Erbarmen finden bei dem Manne hier!« Ich war nämlich Mundschenk beim König.

Ruégote, oh Jehová, esté ahora atento tu oído á la oración de tu siervo, y á la oración de tus siervos, quienes desean temer tu nombre: y ahora concede hoy próspero suceso á tu siervo, y dale gracia delante de aquel varón. Porque yo servía de copero al rey.

O Lord, I beseech thee, let now thine ear be attentive to the prayer of thy servant, and to the prayer of thy servants, who desire to fear thy name: and prosper, I pray thee, thy servant this day, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man. For I was the king’s cupbearer.

Lord, I beg you, let your ear be attentive now to the prayer of your servant, and to the prayer of your servants who delight to fear your name; and please prosper your servant today, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man.” Now I was cup bearer to the king.
