Cuando llegué a las provincias que estaban al occidente del río Éufrates, entregué las cartas del rey a los gobernadores (el rey, debo añadir, había enviado conmigo oficiales y soldados de caballería para que me protegieran).

Y vine luego á los gobernadores de la otra parte del río, y les dí las cartas del rey. Y el rey envió conmigo capitanes del ejército y gente de á caballo.
