Nehemías 6

Or, lorsque Sanaballat, Tobias, l'Arabe Gésam et le reste de nos ennemis, ouïrent que j'avais relevé le mur, ils en perdirent le souffle ; cependant, alors, je n'avais pas encore mis les battants des portes.

Y FUÉ que habiendo oído Sanballat, y Tobías, y Gesem el Arabe, y los demás nuestros enemigos, que había yo edificado el muro, y que no quedaba en él portillo, (aunque hasta aquel tiempo no había puesto en las puertas las hojas,)

Now it came to pass, when Sanballat, and Tobiah, and Geshem the Arabian, and the rest of our enemies, heard that I had builded the wall, and that there was no breach left therein; (though at that time I had not set up the doors upon the gates;)

Now when it was reported to Sanballat, Tobiah, Geshem the Arabian, and to the rest of our enemies that I had built the wall, and that there was no breach left in it (though even to that time I had not set up the doors in the gates),

Et Sanaballat et Gésam m'envoyèrent des messagers, disant : Viens, et rencontrons-nous tous ensemble dans l'un des bourgs de la plaine d'Ono. Mais, ils pensaient à me faire du mal.

Sanballat y Gesem enviaron á decirme: Ven, y compongámonos juntos en alguna de las aldeas en el campo de Ono. Mas ellos habían pensado hacerme mal.

That Sanballat and Geshem sent unto me, saying, Come, let us meet together in some one of the villages in the plain of Ono. But they thought to do me mischief.

Sanballat and Geshem sent to me, saying, “Come! Let’s meet together in the villages in the plain of Ono.” But they intended to harm me.

Je leur envoyai des messagers, disant : Je suis à faire une grande œuvre, et je ne pourrai descendre vers vous, de peur qu'elle ne soit suspendue ; je descendrai dès qu'elle sera finie.

Y enviéles mensajeros, diciendo: Yo hago una grande obra, y no puedo ir; porque cesaría la obra, dejándola yo para ir á vosotros.

And I sent messengers unto them, saying, I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down: why should the work cease, whilst I leave it, and come down to you?

I sent messengers to them, saying, “I am doing a great work, so that I can’t come down. Why should the work cease while I leave it and come down to you?”

Ils me firent dire derechef ces paroles, et je leur répondis comme la première fois.

Y enviaron á mí con el mismo asunto por cuatro veces, y yo les respondí de la misma manera.

Yet they sent unto me four times after this sort; and I answered them after the same manner.

They sent to me four times like this; and I answered them the same way.

Et Sanaballat m'envoya son serviteur, avec une lettre ouverte qu'il tenait à la main.

Envió entonces Sanballat á mí su criado, á decir lo mismo por quinta vez, con una carta abierta en su mano,

Then sent Sanballat his servant unto me in like manner the fifth time with an open letter in his hand;

Then Sanballat sent his servant to me the same way the fifth time with an open letter in his hand,

Et il y était écrit : On a oui dire, parmi les nations, que toi et les Juifs pensez à vous révolter ; et que, pour cela, tu édifies le rempart, et que tu seras leur roi.

En la cual estaba escrito: Hase oído entre las gentes, y Gasmu lo dice, que tú y los Judíos pensáis rebelaros; y que por eso edificas tú el muro, con la mira, según estas palabras, de ser tú su rey;

Wherein was written, It is reported among the heathen, and Gashmu saith it, that thou and the Jews think to rebel: for which cause thou buildest the wall, that thou mayest be their king, according to these words.

in which was written, “It is reported among the nations, and Gashmu says it, that you and the Jews intend to rebel. Because of that, you are building the wall. You would be their king, according to these words.

Et, outre cela, tu as aposté pour toi des prophètes, afin que tu sièges à Jérusalem, comme roi de Juda. Or, maintenant, ces choses vont être rapportées au roi ; viens donc, et tenons conseil ensemble.

Y que has puesto profetas que prediquen de ti en Jerusalem, diciendo: ¡Rey en Judá! Y ahora serán oídas del rey las tales palabras: ven por tanto, y consultemos juntos.

And thou hast also appointed prophets to preach of thee at Jerusalem, saying, There is a king in Judah: and now shall it be reported to the king according to these words. Come now therefore, and let us take counsel together.

You have also appointed prophets to proclaim of you at Jerusalem, saying, ‘There is a king in Judah!’ Now it will be reported to the king according to these words. Come now therefore, and let’s take counsel together.”

Et je lui envoyai encore des messagers, disant : Cela n'est pas arrivé selon les paroles que tu dis, car tu les as feintes en ton cœur.

Entonces envié yo á decirle: No hay tal cosa como dices, sino que de tu corazón tú lo inventas.

Then I sent unto him, saying, There are no such things done as thou sayest, but thou feignest them out of thine own heart.

Then I sent to him, saying, “There are no such things done as you say, but you imagine them out of your own heart.”

Ils voulaient tous ainsi nous effrayer, et ils disaient : Leurs mains en seront énervées ; quant à ce travail, il ne sera pas achevé ; mais moi, je fortifiai mes mains.

Porque todos ellos nos ponían miedo, diciendo: Debilitaránse las manos de ellos en la obra, y no será hecha. Esfuerza pues mis manos, oh Dios.

For they all made us afraid, saying, Their hands shall be weakened from the work, that it be not done. Now therefore, O God, strengthen my hands.

For they all would have made us afraid, saying, “Their hands will be weakened from the work, that it not be done.” But now, strengthen my hands.

Et j'entrai en la demeure de Sémei, fils de Daishi, fils de Métabéhel, et il y était enfermé, et il me dit : Réunissons-nous dans le temple de Dieu, et nous en clorons les portes ; car cette nuit ils viendront pour te tuer.

Vine luego en secreto á casa de Semaías hijo de Delaías, hijo de Mehetabeel, porque él estaba encerrado; el cual me dijo: Juntémonos en la casa de Dios dentro del templo, y cerremos las puertas del templo, porque vienen para matarte; sí, esta noche vendrán á matarte.

Afterward I came unto the house of Shemaiah the son of Delaiah the son of Mehetabeel, who was shut up; and he said, Let us meet together in the house of God, within the temple, and let us shut the doors of the temple: for they will come to slay thee; yea, in the night will they come to slay thee.

I went to the house of Shemaiah the son of Delaiah the son of Mehetabel, who was shut in at his home; and he said, “Let us meet together in God’s house, within the temple, and let’s shut the doors of the temple; for they will come to kill you. Yes, in the night they will come to kill you.”

Et je répondis : Quel est l'homme qui entrera dans le temple, et pourra vivre ?

Entonces dije: ¿Un hombre como yo ha de huir? ¿y quién, que como yo fuera, entraría al templo para salvar la vida? No entraré.

And I said, Should such a man as I flee? and who is there, that, being as I am, would go into the temple to save his life? I will not go in.

I said, “Should a man like me flee? Who is there that, being such as I, would go into the temple to save his life? I will not go in.”

Et j'observai, et voilà que Dieu ne me l'avait pas envoyé ; car sa prophétie était une fable inventée contre moi. En effet, Sanaballat et Tobias avaient salarié

Y entendí que Dios no lo había enviado, sino que hablaba aquella profecía contra mí, porque Tobías y Sanballat le habían alquilado por salario.

And, lo, I perceived that God had not sent him; but that he pronounced this prophecy against me: for Tobiah and Sanballat had hired him.

I discerned, and behold, God had not sent him, but he pronounced this prophecy against me. Tobiah and Sanballat had hired him.

Contre moi une multitude de gens, afin que j'eusse peur, que je fisse ce qu'il conseillait, que je tombasse dans le péché, que j'eusse parmi eux un mauvais renom, et qu'ils m'outrageassent.

Porque sobornado fué para hacerme temer así, y que pecase, y les sirviera de mal nombre con que fuera yo infamado.

Therefore was he hired, that I should be afraid, and do so, and sin, and that they might have matter for an evil report, that they might reproach me.

He was hired so that I would be afraid, do so, and sin, and that they might have material for an evil report, that they might reproach me.

Souvenez-vous, ô mon Dieu, de Tobias et de Sanaballat, selon leurs actions, et de Noadias le prophète, et des autres prophètes qui tentèrent de m'alarmer.

Acuérdate, Dios mío, de Tobías y de Sanballat, conforme á estas sus obras, y también de Noadías profetisa, y de los otros profetas que hacían por ponerme miedo.

My God, think thou upon Tobiah and Sanballat according to these their works, and on the prophetess Noadiah, and the rest of the prophets, that would have put me in fear.

“Remember, my God, Tobiah and Sanballat according to these their works, and also the prophetess Noadiah and the rest of the prophets that would have put me in fear.”

Et le mur fut achevé en cinquante-deux jours, le vingt-cinq du mois d'étal.

Acabóse pues el muro el veinticinco del mes de Elul, en cincuenta y dos días.

So the wall was finished in the twenty and fifth day of the month Elul, in fifty and two days.

Et il advint, quand nos ennemis l'ouïrent, que toutes les nations d'alentour furent épouvantées, et qu'une grande frayeur tomba sur eux, et qu'ils connurent que l'achèvement de cette œuvre était de notre Dieu.

Y como lo oyeron todos nuestros enemigos, temieron todas las gentes que estaban en nuestros alrededores, y abatiéronse mucho sus ojos, y conocieron que por nuestro Dios había sido hecha esta obra.

And it came to pass, that when all our enemies heard thereof, and all the heathen that were about us saw these things, they were much cast down in their own eyes: for they perceived that this work was wrought of our God.

When all our enemies heard of it, all the nations that were around us were afraid, and they lost their confidence; for they perceived that this work was done by our God.

Et, en ces jours-là, des lettres de plusieurs nobles de Juda arrivaient à Tobias, et celles de Tobias leur arrivaient.

Asimismo en aquellos días iban muchas cartas de los principales de Judá á Tobías, y las de Tobías venían á ellos.

Moreover in those days the nobles of Judah sent many letters unto Tobiah, and the letters of Tobiah came unto them.

Car plusieurs en Juda s'étaient engagés avec lui par serment, parce qu'il était gendre de Sechénias, fils d'Héraé ; et que Jonan, son fils, avait épousé la fille de Mesulam, fils de Barachias.

Porque muchos en Judá se habían conjurado con él, porque era yerno de Sechânías hijo de Ara; y Johanán su hijo había tomado la hija de Mesullam, hijo de Berechîas.

For there were many in Judah sworn unto him, because he was the son in law of Shechaniah the son of Arah; and his son Johanan had taken the daughter of Meshullam the son of Berechiah.

For there were many in Judah sworn to him because he was the son-in-law of Shecaniah the son of Arah; and his son Jehohanan had taken the daughter of Meshullam the son of Berechiah as wife.

Et ils me rapportaient ses paroles, et ils lui répétaient les miennes, et Tobias écrivait des lettres pour m'effrayer.

También contaban delante de mí sus buenas obras, y referíanle mis palabras. Y enviaba Tobías cartas para atemorizarme.

Also they reported his good deeds before me, and uttered my words to him. And Tobiah sent letters to put me in fear.
